Apple Repair Invoice

So my just-out-of-warranty MacBook Pro had a failed logic board about a month ago. Apple ended up doing a flat rate repair for me and they replaced the logic board. I paid for this at the Apple store. Apple shipped the computer back to me. I have the Mac's serial number and the repair ID.
What I need, is an invoice/reciept for the repair. I don't recall if I was given one at the store, but either way, I don't have one now. I've searched Apple.com up and down, but I cannot find any links to repair invoices, not could I find an email contact anywhere, to have one sent to me.
I really do not want to have to go back to the mall just for a piece of paper.
Maybe an Apple employee reading this can help? A PDF of my bill would be fine. I just need SOMETHING.
Thanks.

"I really do not want to have to go back to the mall just for a piece of paper."
Why not give them a phone call
Usually apple email the receipts/invoice directly

  • My iPhone 5 screen smashed and apple did not repair it a phone shop did and now 6 month on my phone has completely broke  can apple repair it if I paid the cost of the bill

MY iPhone 5 screen smashed ages ago and I got a normal phone shop to repair it and that was 6 month ago my battery and the mother board is broken can apple repair this if I was to pay the bill and not asking them to cover anything

No. By having an unauthorized service shop open your phone you have forefited ALL service (both in and out of warranty) from Apple. Apple will never again touch that phone. Take it to the same "shop" that repaired it before.

  • I just got my Mac back from Apple repair and I can't burn a disc. What do I need to do to make that happen?

I just got my Mac back from Apple repair and I can't burn a disc. What do I need to do to make that happen?

    Hello deneye2112,
Thank you for providing the details of the burning issue you are experiencing.  I found some resources that I think might help:
First, I recommend resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac (I wasn't sure if you had a removable battery or a built in battery, so I listed the steps for both):
Resetting the SMC on Mac portables with a battery you can remove
Note: Learn about removing the battery on MacBook and MacBook Pro.
    Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
    Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
    Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your ownNote: Portable computers that have a battery you should not remove on your own include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, and MacBook (Late 2009).
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
You can find the full article here:

If you are still having trouble with burning after that step, I recommend reviewing the section titled "Top troubleshooting tips" in the following article:

  • My refurbished rMBP 15" has a stuck (white) pixel and is still under the 1 year limited warranty, can/will Apple repair it if I go to an Apple Store?

Hi, my refurbished rMBP 15" has a stuck (white) pixel and is still under the 1 year limited warranty, can/will Apple repair it if I go to an Apple Store?
I just discovered today that my MacBook has a "stuck" pixel. I read that the display has to have at least 5 dead/stuck pixels else Apple is not going to repair it, is it true? My warranty expires in 1 month so I can't really wait for 4 more pixels to die or get stuck.
    Temporary fix:
I know that this is something I can't really repair myself, but I tried some things such as changing the display resolution to it's "Full" 2880x1800 resolution and It actually reduced the size of the stuck pixel.
    Thank You,
    Etienne

    Hello etienne255,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with questions concerning pixel anomalies:
About LCD display pixel anomalies for Apple products released before 2010 - Apple Support
If you suspect your display contains a high number of pixel anomalies, take your Apple product to an Apple Authorized Service Provider for closer examination.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

  • Mac Book Pro (Apple Repairs and Serve Coverage) - Limited

I got a Macbook Pro (late 2013) and the Apple Repairs and Service Coverage ends on Oct 2013. I recently found that my MagSafe 2 Power adapter is not working. Will they replace mine for free?

Just bought it.  I took it to work and everything worked on that wireless network.  The problem must be in my home network, but I haven't figured it out yet.

  • A Successful Apple Repair!

This text was taken from my online blog and I wanted to share it with other fellow PowerBook users/owners.
I own and use an Apple PowerBook G4 Titanium. This computer gets used a lot, more than some desktops get used no doubt. Well one day my fan started to act up and I thought nothing of it really, it must come with an aging computer. My extended warranty runs out in December of this year (2005) and the fan noise wasn't letting up, in fact it was getting much worse. I decided that it would be a good time to contact Apple to get my computer a new fan. Apple decided that the only way for me to do this under the warranty would be to ship my computer off. This made me somewhat uneasy and nervous...sending my beloved PowerBook off to someone seemed a little scary in a sense. Well I was able to bring myself together and send it off. The call was put in on a Friday afternoon, the following Monday a pre-paid DHL box shows up at home and the computer gets carefully sent off. The next day (Tuesday) Apple receives the box and repairs my computer in a matter of hours and tests it to make sure it will work out. I get the computer back the NEXT DAY! (Wednesday). Shocked, surprised, and very relieved that my computer came back in what appeared to be good shape made me very happy. I then proceeded to connect my computer back up to the power supply and other devices, turned the computer on and to my shock I was given a different display which I didn't ask for...WOW! I start to browse the net and check e-mail and wait for the computer temperature to rise enough for the fans to start running. The primary fan kicks on and it runs just like when I got it...quiet! Shortly there after the second fan kicks on and what do you know...it runs just like the primary fan does...quiet!!!
I wanted to share this story with my blog readers because I wanted to make sure you all knew that Apple's repair team is A+. I have nothing but good things to say about how I've been treated by Apple. From dealing with song quality issues on the iTunes Music Store to getting my PowerBook repaired, the service has been great If you ever need repair on your Apple Computer I wouldn't think twice about sending it in and I hope by sharing my success story with you will not hesitate either.

Hello Dan, When the call was made to Apple they told me to bring the computer to a Authorized Apple Repair Center. Well there isn't one of those within several hundred miles of my location so my only logical decision was to send the computer in.
I believe the issue with my fan included dust and age. Several weeks back I purchased a can of CleanSafe dust remover. I lifted the computer keyboard from the computer and shot the nozzle down into the fan (Note the computer was powered off). A lot of dust was blown out of there and I thought I may have solved the problem. However, after turning the computer back on and using it for a short period of time the fan kicked on again and it was still noisy. To me it sounded as if the bearings may have been going out of it. Whatever it was you can tell by my blog entry (posted above) that I am once again happy with my PowerBook.

  • Apple Repair Policy - time frame for repair

Does any one know how long will it take for apple to repair their products or what their policy is on repair times.
I have my macbook sitting in repair depot for more than 2 weeks waiting on a part .which is very frustrating .Is it common for Apple repairs to go for 3-4 weeks .
Mine is macbook bought in June 2006 and I had all kinds of issues with that ( screen flicker , rapid battery discharge , isight , discoloration and power off issues ).

I sent my MacBook in once on a Monday and received it back on Thursday. They must be waiting for parts for yours.

  • I smashed the screen of my iphone 5 earlier and it was bought just before christmas, i was wondering will apple repair the screen for free or swap the phone?

i smashed the screen of my iphone 5 earlier and it was bought just before christmas, i was wondering will apple repair the screen for free or swap the phone? the phone is still working fine, just the screen needs changing by the looks of it.

Why would Apple replace or repair the phone for free? Will a car manufacturer replace or repair the car you drove into a wall for free? If you sit on your spectacles, will the optician give you another pair for free?
You can get an out of warranty replacement phone for $199 in the US, similar price in your local currency.

  • Cracked iPhone 5 Screen. Will Apple repair/replace this?

So I bought an iPhone 5 off craigslist, and a week later I drop it off the 2nd floor
Completely shattered the screen, the lcd won't light up at all, and the home button flew off(still have it)
I can still get calls/texts, I hear my ringtone and the phone vibrates, but I can't see or use the screen. The bezel also slightly bent at the top near the volume button.
Will Apple repair/replace this? I know they charge $229 for user damage repairs, but will my phone be covered due to the amount of damage??

" I know they charge $229 for user damage repairs, but will my phone be covered due to the amount of damage??"
Only Apple can tell you this.

Can apple repair my iPhone 5 for a fee if it has been submerged in water and has water damage, or do I have to buy a new one? It is within the one year warrantee.

Free repair for water damage is not covered, under either AppleCare+ (note the +) or normal Apple warranty.
If you have AppleCare+, you can get a replacement for $49.
If you do not have AppleCare+ you can get an out-of-warranty replacement for about 1/2 the cost of a new phone.  Ask at the Genus Bar.

  • Hats off to Apple Repair!!

My iBook's monitor wiring fried, Apple repaired it and got it back to me in 4 days including Sat and Sun. Then 4 weeks later it completely died and they replaced the logic board and hard drive no charge. Again sent out last Saturday and back in my hands today, Tuesday. Wow great service...even better they didn't charge me for the second repair. Ummm.....should I have gotten a powerbook instead???
Anyway kudos to Apple and their very quick and prompt repair service.

Yes, congrats to Apple for great service.
Question for you though. Why did you post this in the iPod forum?
    Just curious. : )
