    Hi...
    You can change the background color of the message area,...
    first you should use a Message Area UI element in your transparent container, But the layout should be Matrix layout
    Set the property of the Message area as below.
    "cellBackgroundDesign = Fill1 or Fill2 or Fill3"

  • How to retrieve default background color for JPanels or other containers?

    Hi everybody, I've written a small class extending the default JTextArea, intended to provide the functionality of a small, descriptive item in JPanels.
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class JInfoTextArea extends JTextArea{
         public JInfoTextArea(String text){
              super(text);
              setEditable(false);
              setFont(Font.decode("SansSerif"));
              setFocusable(false);
              setLineWrap(true);
              setWrapStyleWord(true);
    //          setBackground(contentPane.getBackground());
              setAlignmentX(Component.LEFT_ALIGNMENT);
              setBorder(BorderFactory.createEmptyBorder(5,5,5,5));
    }As you can see, there formerly used to be a third parameter, namely contentPane, which contained a reference to the parent Container in order to set the TextArea's background color appropriately for transparency.
    Now, is there ANY way to retrieve the background color without either passing a dedicated parameter or doing something like
    setBackground((new JPanel()).getBackground());Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Yours, Stefanie

  • Change background color - Integration Builder and others

    Hello all,
    Does anyone know how to change the background color displayed in the Integration Builder and other Java stack components of XI?
    We have a company policy that each different landscape (Dev, QA, Prod, etc) has a different background color in order to minimise the risk of mistakes (ie making an entry / setting in the wrong system).
    For the SAPGui components this is easy to do (just registry entries), but how can this be done for Java stack components?
    Any ideas appreciated (including other ways of highlighting which system you are on if differnt colors are not possible).
    Thanks,
    Brad

    Hi Brad,
    can can always have a look
    the top tab of the IB tools (IR, ID)
    you have server + instance number there
    with ID you will have different object names (business systems)
    for IR different authorizations (DEV, PRD...)

    Although RTF with Tiger Mail is HTML, the Mail.app does not include an HTML composer/editor so includes no option to change the background color of messages but there is a work-around.
    Select RTF for message composition with Mail.
    Use the HTML editor/composer of choice - the Text Edit application can be used for this. Set the background color, font/font size and text color that you prefer for the document. When saving the document, select HTML for the File Format.
    Open the saved document with Safari and at the menu bar, go to File and select Mail Contents of This Page.
    A new Mail.app message will be launched and the Text Edit document will be copied to the new Mail.app message with the background color chosen with Text Edit.
    To save the message as a template:
    Create a new "On My Mac" location mailbox called "Templates" (or anything else that appeals to you more).
    Save this new message created as a Draft.
    Close the message.
    Go to the Drafts folder.
    Move the Draft message you just saved to the "Templates" mailbox.
    To use a message template in Mail to create a new message:
    Open the Templates mailbox containing the desired message template.
    Highlight the template you want to use for the new message.
    Select Message | Send Again from the menu.
    Edit and send the message.
    You can also use any message you previously sent as a template by copying it to your "Templates" mailbox (or using Message | Send Again directly).
    To edit a template, create a new message using it, make the desired changes and the save the edited message as a template as described above while deleting the old template.
    The Mail.app includes a thread feature which leaves some room for desire.
    Select a mailbox and at the menu bar, go to View and select Organize by Thread. Check Mail.app Help for Threads.

  • Change background color during text edit mode

    THis is a wacky problem...
    I have a presentation template. The slide master has white copy in the title and black copy in the body/bulleted list.
    When I try to use the template and edit the title copy, the background color for editing that line is white, just like the text, so I can't see what I'm typing. I can't figure out how to change the background color during text edit mode so that I can actually see what I'm typing. Is there a way to make this transparent?
    For some reason, the body copy edit works fine: black text edited in either a white or transparent background color.
    help!

  • Background color in Apex

    I have added tabs(HTML) which contains image. i want to set the background image with the same color of the tab? can anyone please help ?
    I am using oracle apex 4.0
    Regards

    Theva,
    how to change the color of the background image? You will probably get a good answer in a photoshop or gimp forum. E.g. use a gray / transparent image which will adapt to the background color automatically.

  • Background color gets offset in Configurator and Photoshop (Mac OS)

    I have a panel with a HTML widget. I set the background color with CSS to #d6d6d6 to match Photoshop. However, my panel does not get the color I picked for it, instead it gets the color #cdcdcd (a slightly darker gray).
    As a workaround I set the color to #dedede which will then become #d6d6d6 and thus matching the gui of Photoshop.
    So far so good.
    On the Mac.
    Today I noticed that on Windows my panel is too bright...
    So it seems to be a Mac OSX thing. Anyone know what's going on here?

    So far I'm using a workaround where I check the OS of the user with javascript. I then change the background color accordingly.
    Cheers

    Hello Robert,
    another option would be to place (for example) a vertical smooth box behind the chart and change the color of it.

  • My firefox background color is black how to solve this problem?

    Every time when i open firefox my background is black. for fix the proble go to tools then options then colors then tick "use system colors" and "Allow page to chooses their own colors, instead of my selection above" then press double "ok" colors problem is fixeed. but when i close and re open firefox see same problem meaning my background is black. Please how can i solve
    ? thanks!

    My new laptop arrived today and it is the first time I ever see Windows 8. I experienced this problem with a black background in any Firefox page.
    After a long troubleshooting process on a draconic OS I have never experienced, I found the culprit.
    1. Hover your mouse (don't click) over the top-right corner (or press the Window key and the C key.) This will open the charm bar.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Choose Personalize.
    4. Change the background/wallpaper.
    5. Enjoy your Firefox with its true colors. Hoozah!
    After applying that solution, if the background of your favorite website looks a flat white, then:
    1. Go to TOOLS in Firefox. Select Content.
    2. Click the Colors button.
    3. Enable "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
    4. Click OK and OK.
    5. Firefox will automatically display default background colors of websites.

  • CS : Background color changes after saving image to jpeg,

    Hi,
    We have written a script for automatically saving the image to a JPEG format file. We are using VB.NET along with CS Script. To achieve that, we are doing the following:
    we are resizing the images and setting the mode to RGB and make it 8-Bit/channel. We are using some default background color like FFFFFF (255,255,255) and FF88FF (255,136,255). These gets changed to FEFEFE (254,254,254) and FF88FF (255,136,255) changes to
    'FE87FF'(254,135,255) dropping a point or so.
    If any one works on that kindly let me know what is the problem. How to prevent the changes of background color.
