Applet can't load when using Mozilla Firefox and IE Tab

I have a page that includes an applet
I must include page within the IE Tab rules for auto procces because of design aspects
When the page loads, Firefox tells: load: class XXXXX not found
This very same page does not fail to load applet if not included in IE Tab Rules
I tried the latest versions of Firefox (3.0beta) and IE Tab(1.5)
It appears to be a Mozilla Firefox problem
But, any way, any idea?

I just discover Mozilla Firefox does not work with deprecated Applet tags.
I must use Object tags.
Since Netscape and Safari does not acept properly Object tags, i decide to use a javascript to switch between both methods.
Here a sample:
<%
CARPETA = Request.Form("UltimoArchivoCarpeta")
ArchivoProcesar = Request.Form("UltimoArchivoArchivo")
ArchivoProcesar = CARPETA & ArchivoProcesar
ArchivoProcesar = replace(ArchivoProcesar,"\","\\")
URLACTUAL = Request.ServerVariables("SERVER_NAME")
URLACTUAL = "http://" & URLACTUAL
%>
<script language="javascript">
var _app = navigator.appName;
if (_app == 'Microsoft Internet Explorer') {
document.write('<OBJECT ',
'classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"',<!-- Java Plugin any version -->
' width="0" height="0">',
'<PARAM name="code" value="JUploadApplet.class">',
'<PARAM name="archive" value="<%=URLACTUAL%>/java/ddsApplets.jar">',
'<PARAM name="file" value="<%=ArchivoProcesar%>">',
'<PARAM name="urlUpload" value="<%=URLACTUAL%>/VENTAS_UPLOAD/ConfirmarUploadPedidos.asp">',
'<PARAM name="urlRedir" value="<%=URLACTUAL%>/VENTAS_UPLOAD/MostrarPreviewArchivo.asp">',

'</OBJECT>');
else { <!-- No es IE Explorer ni Firefox con IE Tab -->
document.write( '<APPLET code="JUploadApplet.class"',

'<PARAM name="file" value="<%=ArchivoProcesar%>">',

  • Cannot type new outgoing message in utility warehouse webmail when using mozilla firefox

    I've always used Mozilla Firefox and Utility Warehouse club webmail e-mail client.
    Always worked well, no problems.
    Now I can no longer type up new e-mails. I can call up the contacts name and type in the subject OK but then I can't type the message itself. The message typing section no longer functions, it seems to have gone dead.
    I'm told this is a browser problem not a UW club webmail issue.
    In fact I've checked and that's true, it all works OK in explorer but I don't want to use explorer.
    Can you help or do I have to uninstall firefox and start using explorer?
    I'd rather stick with firefox

    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
    (You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
    orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • O K - - I use Mozilla Firefox and just recieved your notice of OPEN. Am I automatically updated (or) ???

    What do I need to do take advantage of OPEN since I already use Mozilla Firefox? I assume it is an automatic update, however I see no indication that is the case. Thanks, slvrfx43

    Do you mean there was a link about the Open Standard on your home page? That links leads to this website: https://openstandard.mozilla.org/
    You do not need to install any software to read the site, as far as I know.
    If you want to update Firefox, a "safe" way to do that is to use the About Firefox dialog. Either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > About Firefox
    * (menu bar) Help > About Firefox
    Or if you meant a different OPEN thing, could you describe it in more detail?

  • Windows: Is it possible to optimize space usage, when both Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird are installed? I see that some files are the same in both applications (mostly common DLL libraries) - even 10 MB

    I think that the best idea is to add one folder: Mozilla shared, just for all shared libraries.

    Hm.. it is nothing critical. Not a bug, error nor mistake. Just my idea.
    Just thought about it as in similar applications:
    All Open Office software use shared libs, Microsoft Office too.
    And it could keep both Firefox and Thunderbird up to date. Now both applications update seperately, and many files (compressed, but still) are downloaded two times. The biggest files:
    d3dx9_43.dll, D3DCompiler_43.dll, mozjs.dll
    but there are many others.
    You should decide if it is worth to show my sugestion..

  • Chase account activity page won't load the "I'd Like To" links when using Mozilla Firefox but will with Internet Exployer

    Chase Banking is always doing upgrades to their website. In their latest update the useable links on the account activity page simply don't appear under the "I'd like to" heading. Even the "I'd like to" heading is not appearing. That side of the page is empty, but if you use Internet Explorer all the links at there. Does anyone else have this problem using Chase Banking?
    Found the issue to this problem, I had a software program running called Ad Blocker. When I disabled this program the links became visible. I will use the other suggestions posted to this message.

    Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
    Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
    To clear cache and cookies do the following:
    #Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
    #Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
    #Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
    #From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
    #Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
    Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.

  • Nm-applet is not loading when using Slim

    I was using Gdm as login manager and networkmanager + nm-applet to manage the network. I just switched to Slim. But after that, nm-applet will not start automatically upon the login. Here is rc.conf looks like,
    INTERFACES=(!eth0 !wlan0)
    ROUTES=(!gateway)
    DAEMONS=(syslog-ng !network netfs dbus hal slim !gdm networkmanager @alsa @crond)
    What am I doing wrong?

    Ok. I figured it out. I was running nm-applet& command after exec gnome-session command. I put it before that and it started working. But I still need to say "sudo nm-applet&".
    Now nm-applet is starting fine. But it is not remembering the password for the wireless connection. This is the message appearing when I start it.
    No keyring secrets found for Auto linux/802-11-wireless-security; asking user
    All these were working fine with Gdm. I am not sure about getting this correct with Slim.  I have done the setting changes described in http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SLi … me_Keyring page. Here is my /etc/pam.d/slim file looks like.
    auth requisite pam_nologin.so
    auth required pam_env.so
    auth required pam_unix.so
    account required pam_unix.so
    session required pam_limits.so
    session required pam_unix.so
    password required pam_unix.so
    auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so
    session optional pam_gnome_keyring.so auto_start
    Any help?

  • Web pages load slowly using Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.

    Web pages are loading slowly now on my mid-2008 iMac 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo.
    Doesn't seem to matter if I use Safari v5.1.10, Firefox v29.0.1, or Chrome v34.0.1847.131.
    Problem started about a week ago mostly with YouTube but now I have issues with almost all web pages loading slowly, including this one.

    Try resetting both your Intenet MODEM/Router by unplugging them, waiting 15 to 20 seconds then plugging them back in.

  • When I exit Firefox and later load Firefox it says its open, although I can't use, have to go to Windows Task Manager and force it to close before I can load it again.

    Problem is on a Dell Studio XPS desktop with the i7 processor. Current version used is 3.6.13, although the problem occurred with previous version, and only occurs intermittently. Does not seem to be time related. Sometimes, though not always, there will be two copies of Firefox open in the Task Manager "processes". When I close Firefox, and reload, runs fine until the next time.

  • I get error messages when I try to visit certain websites using Mozilla Firefox but not when I use other browsers

    About two days ago I noticed that when I tried to access certain websites using Firefox I always got this error message; "The connection was reset". I initially thought it was a problem with my isp before noticing that the network was fine on my phone and iPad. I then attempted opening the same links that brought up the error message on the TorBrowser and it worked perfectly.
    Basically the only website that works on my Firefox browser right now is Google but if I do a search on Google and then click on any link that comes up as a result I get the same error message, "The connection was reset". I can also log into my gmail account but I cannot access any other website including Feedly, Tumblr, Twitter, Yahoo, Wordpress, Blogspot, even though they work fine on my other browser.
    I cleared my cache and cookies, wiped out all the browsing history but the problem persisted so I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox and reinstalled it. The problem is still there. I checked the proxy settings, I went through all the solutions on this page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can?esab=a&as=aaq and still nothing. I am not sure what the problem is here but any solution will be much appreciated. I have used Firefox for years now and I am not really comfortable using another browser.
    I use a Macbook OS X Version 10.9.4 and the latest Firefox 32.0.1

  • OS X 10.6.8 using MOZILLA Firefox java applet plugin has crashed

    Hello everyone!
    I am running OS X 10.6.8 with the latest java plugins downloaded via software updates from Apple.
    I am using Mozilla Firefox version 28.0.
    I wanted to use a website (www.vectis.co.uk) to view a live bidding auction, but everytime I try to connect, it says that my 'java applet plugin has crashed'.  I have checked what version of java I have, it is 1.6.0_65 which I believe is the latest version.  The minimum requirement according to Vectis is version 1.6.0_35.
    I am using Firefox because Vectis states they do not support Safari.  My version of Firefox is the latest.  When I check the plugins via 'Firefox Tools -> Add-ons -> Check to see if your plugins are up to date' , it says that Java plugin is 'vulnerable' and I should obtain the latest version by going to Apple 'software updates' to ensure I have the latest version of java.  Why does Firefox not recognise the latest version of Java plugin from Apple?  I believe that for OS X 10.6, Apple provides Java plugin updates and there is no need to dowload anything further, so I am unable to install any other Java applet plug-in because they are supplied by Apple.
    Why does the java applet not work??
    This is killing me, please help!!
    Thank you
    Leila

    That is a problem with that website and a file (dom-build.js) that Firefox requests is missing and that file has the functions to build the menu.<br />
    Files for IE and Google Chrome (Safari) are there (http://wpc.dot.gov.in/include/saf-build.js), so it works with those browsers.
    See http://wpc.dot.gov.in/include/browser.js
    <pre><nowiki>if (dom) document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="' + buildDir + 'dom-build.js"></script>');
    </nowiki></pre>
    Firefox wants to retrieve the dom-build.js file for browsers that support "document.getElementById" and the server gives a 404 error.
    * http://wpc.dot.gov.in/include/dom-build.js : HTTP/1.1 404 Object Not Found
    You can contact the site to inform them about the missing dom-build.js file for browsers that support "document.getElementById" and aren't one of the other supported browsers.

  • I cannot click on tabs in any website, do you know why? I can do it when using Internet Explorer but not firefox.

    I have used Mozilla Firefox for years, but all of a sudden I cannot put my curser over a tabs on any website and click on it. What I mean is the top of the websites have words you can click on to go to other pages or in the email system it has tab buttons that allow you look at your inbox or close or save draft, it doesn't allow the curser to click on it. I can go to the tool bar put my curser in that and use the tab button on the key board to tab over to each word or link and then click enter and it will then go to that next page.

    Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.
