i need that my applet will read a dll i gave in his policy
AllPromisions but still he dont find the dll what i should do?

Although your applet code will be loaded by the client, the dll will not be loaded at all. Applets running JNI are never a good idea, the sandbox would normally prevent you from installing any native code on the client.
You would need to do at least 2 things in order to make this work.
Have the client install the DLL on their machine(s).
Sign your applet so that it can be considered secure enough to access the DLL.
Alternatively you can use RMI to have the applet communicate with server side instances of the DLL.
Rewrite your Applet as an application and have clients install that on their machines.

Cant read and import CDs :(

I just installed this computer for my girl friend, here are the specs :
Asus A8V-E SE Motherboard
1 Gig Kingston memory
Sony DW-Q120A CD/DVD-RW
Maxtor 80GB SATAII hard drive.
Now, I downloaded iTunes, and she can't import songs from CDs, nor she can read them. When you try to listen to a CD, it does like every song lasted 0.1 seconds and skip to the next one, without doing any sound. When I try to import them, it takes like 5 secs for the whole CD, then I cant read the songs that are imported, and iTunes says they're all 789:57:13 long. Also, I can read CD just fine with (huh :() Windows Media Player!

HAve you ever had one of those moments that you get so frustrated that you just start pushing buttons and messing with crap---that eventually crap just starts to work? I finally got my audio CD's to read on iTunes, but mystery b: I have no floggin clue as to how the heck i did it. More investigating to be done, and a hopefully helpful report for people having issues with same ordeal. I took every advice that I found on here, erased things, messed with volumes, turned crap on and off, messed with the error correction box, hardware acceleration, erased and readded things on registry... serious I messed with it all. And now I'm afraid to turn off my computer and have it revert back. But now my internet card on my laptop wont connect. something wrong with the socket...hehe, go figure. If it's not one thing its another. Im working off my home desktop for this one. But I'll get back to you all with details and hopefully answers for this freakin and most frustrating issue. But in the mean time, just mess, and see what comes with experimentation. BUT WARNING!!! MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A BACKUP OF EVERYTHING IN CASE IT CRASHES. Theres an article on here that tells you how to mess with the registry, its under the "audio CDs wont read" article. Around there, it gives you full step by step instructions on how to back up, either part or your whole system. I emailed the instructions to myself incase my laptop crashed and I needed instructions off another computer. It may seem like an elementary piece of advice, but you'd b surprised how many dont know of that little safety hitch people get into. But after everythings good to go--hack away and it'll work...eventually. I'll do my share and get back to you. I'm not too heartless.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder that contains your catalog it's probably located in Pictures\Lightroom. In that folder you will find another folder with the extension .lrdata. You need to delete that folder and its contents, then start Lightroom again. And new previews folder will be created automatically, and you should be able to start using Lightroom normally.

Using javascript to call a signed applet's read/write functions problem.

Hi, I wan't to use javascript to call the read/write functions of my signed java applet.
The applet can read/write fine, if its called from inside the applet, but when I make public functions to do the read/write and then call those functions from javascript, i get the old security exception.
Has anyone done this before?

From what I understand is that for example file IO can only be done if the current method
has this privilege and the stack that called the current method had this privilege.
Javascript doesn't have any privilege and calling methods that do file IO directly from
javascript should not work, this bug was fixed in 1.4.2.
The workarround AccessController.doPrivileged(new PrivilegedAction() { might allso be
fixed in later versions since changing the privileges of currently executing code is
someting that should not be possible when the currently executing code is called from
"untrusted" (javascript) code.

Good afthernoon, I cant read my gmail mailbox after upgrading to ios 7 on my iphone 5. I remove it, restarted the phone and reconfigure my gmail account, update to IOS 7.0.2 but the problem persist.
Almost of time, the mailbox of Gmail is grey and the access is no allowed. The problem is only with gmail, there are some similar threads in these forums, but I dont find any resolution.

The problem was solved editing/removing labels from gmail account. IMAP and POP3 was enabled, I disabled the last one (POP3) to.
From any browser go to your Gmail Inbox/configuration/label, try editing o removing unnecesary labels and check if you are using POP3/IMAP.

Applet to read data?

Hi there!
Is is an impossible quest to try to make an applet to read one or two
text files located on the host? (I'm not too eager to get down to using
signed applets..)
It's a sort of a quiz, and requires a lot of data, and
someone might want to add more questions later on. I don't
want to hardcode all that in a class file, so please help me.
Using dynamic html, servlets or stuff would be ideal otherwise,
but there is a lot of user action required and some question types
aren't easily adapted to a html-only output. Over all, in the terms of
usability I could make it so much better if it was an applet.
What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Start Simple. Keep you text files in you codebase. (Same folder as your class file of jar) and use something like:

Firefox 4 B 10 my Hotmail just keeps reloading the page and when I try to scroll down it just jumps to the top cant read my email without going to tools and turning off Java script then have to turn back on to see next email!!!

That problem with Hotmail started around Jan19 - in that Bug report is a comment from a Microsoft rep that they will have it fixed before the Firefox 4.0 Release Candidate is ready.
