Applet intractive IP camera Live viewer (continuously Motion JPG)

I have an applet live image viewer "IP Camera" where the client must continuously download the images from the server . I have a problem with the speed of downloading due to each image being around 25Kb. To show it like a movie it needs to download and play 10 frame "image " per second . So I am trying to copy and replace the images in the memory but i found that the browser is hanging . So I have tried to copy the images to the temporary folder and continuously replace the images and then Play those image as a movie , But I have problem accessing and reading those files from the temporary folder.
Is it possible to suggest to me the right way of working with temp files.
Thanks
Ali Jamali

The camera may also be sending other streams or still images if Java isn't installed that are shown instead.<br />
You normally only need Java to control the camera.

  • Is there a way to send a camera live view using skype

I have a Canon Rebel with EOS live view.  I can connect my camera to my Mac and see a live image from the camera.  Is there a way to make a Skype call and send the live view images?

  • Help with live view new camera options...

Hey guys...I have recently bought a hahnel remote shutter release so that I can take pics on the top of a mast around seven metres up.
I have a 5 inch monitor at ground level to view the pictures taken, using an av cable from the camera. Problem is, I cant get a continuous "live view" image on the monitor, as you need to hold down the * button whilst in live view to auto focus, so I have to put up with just the shot thats been taken showing up after each shot instead!
Does anyone know of a canon that would offer a continuous live view image on my monitor, without having to press the * button to auto focus?
Ideally it would be one from the list below, as they are the cameras that my new hahnel wireless remote supports!
I hope someone can help! cheers!

What camera are you using?  Most "modern" Canon SLRs allow you to set focus during live view.   You move a little rectangle around to select your focus area.   But you need more than a monitor, you'd either need a computer (like a small netbook) running EOS Utility, or a tablet with DSLR Remote or equivilent on it.  The 70D and 6D both have WiFi ability, so you can do it from a smart phone, tablet, or computer, no wires needed.

  • I want to view the screen of my dslr camera in live view on my macbook pro via the hdmi port, is this possible?

I would like to view the output from my DSLR on the screen of my macbook using the hdmi port.  I know I can connect to a tv to send images "out" from my macbook, but is it possible ti send images in?? I operate my camera by remote control, and would really live a live view if possible.
    Thank

Nope - you can only output video from your MBP - there's not a port for input.

  • Camera to capture ID Photos with Live View tethering and Inexpensive.

Need suggestions for a relatively cheap webcam or point and shoot camera I can hook to the MBP and control it with live view functionality. Needs to be able to take a stills suitable for ID Photos for a printed conference ID. It would be nice to be able to crop the image before saving it. This image file will be dragged into a FMP image box and the ID printer vis FMP. iSight is too low rez and can't be flipped over to capture away from the keyboard.

some in http://www.mac-compatible-web-cam.com should be able to meet your needs for cropping (zoom.)
A Mac compatible tape based, Firewire connected, miniDV or HiDef camcorder would be ideal and would not require any software beyond what comes with your OS X Mavericks (10.9.)

  • Canon 6D will not focus or flash in "Live View" mode.

My Canon 6D will not focus or flash in "Live View" mode.  I have a canon 430ex II  and a E-ttl flash connected with a sync cord for E-ttl function.  The camera does simulate shutter action, but no photo is taken.  How can I over-come this problem.
Once in a while, after trying to take several photos it will start working, but usually not.

    Hi Shadowcat!
    Thanks for posting.
It sounds like the AF Method is set to Quick Mode.  When the camera is set for Live View Shooting, there are different AF Methods that can be set.  In Quick Mode, the camera uses its dedicated AF sensor to focus when you press the shutter button down halfway.
The image on the LCD will be interrupted while the camera tries to focus because the shutter closes and the mirror drops back over the image sensor.  This may look as though the camera is taking a picture, but it is not, it is only focusing.  No flash is fired during this process either.  Continue to hold the shutter button halfway until focus is achieved, at which point the image will return to the LCD.  Then you can press the shutter button the rest of the way down to take the picture.  The flash will fire and an image will be recorded.

  • Well Documented Live View Exposure Simulation Issue

I'm including a number of links which document this issue across multiple canon cameras. After doing a search on the canon forum, I can't find this particular issue, so I thought I'd post and see if we can get an official solution. (New to the Canon forums, so if I'm not looking in the right place, please let me know.)
In my opinion, the vimeo link illustrates this best. (and while the 2nd link says "solved" ... perhaps the solution could be described as "janky" at best.)
Basically, from what I can gather: The Live View (*in photo mode) uses the lens's aperture data to update the exposure simulation parameters. This effects the way the LCD and the Histogram interpret exposure settings. If you are using a lens without these digital chips, the Exp. Sim. parameters don't get updated and the liveview/histogram will sometimes appear under exposed when compared to the actual photograph (anywhere from -1 to -4 stops from what I've seen).
What's strange is that this problem disapears in video mode. Perhaps I don't understand the real issue, but it sounds like a firmware update is needed. Is there an update available(or will there be) that fixes this problem?

If I understand you correctly... you're referring to a 3rd party lens designed to fit on a Canon EOS body as an "EF" lens -- not actually suggesting that Canon themselves make a lens that has the problem.
Niether Canon nor Nikon (nor anybody else that I am aware of) release the specs to 3rd party lens makers.  Those 3rd parties reverse-engineer the cameras in an attempt to build compatible lenses.  Again, I'd stress that to my knowledge, ALL camera makers are the same in this respect.  It is not a differentiator.
Rokinon (and the same lenses are sold under a variety of names) is known for their very cheap lenses.  It's a bit of a case of "you get what you paid for."
I don't work for Canon so I'm not trying to argue that you should only consider Canon products.  (I do like their products and am happy with all of my Canon gear.)  But I would probably not reduce my camera buying decisions be decided by just this one feature alone.  There are are so many aspects to consider when buying a camera.  Is this really that important to you?
The guy in this video is using a Canon 5D III.  That's a $3500 camera body.  Realistically, no photographer who can afford a $3500 camera body is going to shoot with a Rokinon 14mm lens -- and then have the audacity to expect that it's Canon's fault when the cheap lens isn't fully compatible with the high end $3500 body.   :-/
There are a number of 3rd party lens makers... Sigma, Tokina, Tamron... and then there are some very high end lens makers... Schneider, Ziess, etc.   But when these lens makers build lenses for the cameras, they actually do tend to work correctly (not always... and sometimes a lens that worked with one body might not continue to work years later when Canon comes out with newer bodies... but Canon's own lenses DO work EVEN when you upgrade camera bodies.  Canon makes certain of that.)
Rokinon, however (and the same lenses are sold under multiple names... Samyang, Bower, Pro-Optic, etc.) are known for their especially cheap, basic, low-end lenses.  If you are going to buy an exceptionally cheap, basic, low-end lens... you should probably not be at all surprised to learn that there are limitations.   Notice, for example, that the lens has an aperture ring on the lens... modern lenses don't do that anymore.

  • Webpage looks good with tranparent boxes and photo background in live view but not in browsers

If anyone has time to help I would be very grateful.   I am new to dreamweaver and am trying to make a webpage with transparent colums and boxed text using styles.  It looks perfect in "live view" but when I look at it in any browser all formatting is gone.  It looks like the background with text on top layed out wrapped across the entire page.   I have not been able to figure out what is wrong in days of searching.  Does anyone know the answer?
This first the format I want and is what it looks like in Live View, the second is what it looks like in most browsers.

            <h3>What does NBCS Do?</h3>
<p>Since 2004 The Narragansett Bay Coyote Study (NBCS) has been developing science-based coexistence and management strategies for our newest top predator.  Coyotes, originally a prairie species, have successfully colonized all parts of the continental and nearshore us in the past 100 years. They reached the islands of Narragansett Bay in the mid-1990s. Since then coyotes have become increasingly abundant and problematic in some island communities.</p>
<p>In our history of cohabitation with coyotes people consistently  tried to eliminate them by hunting, trapping, and poisoning. Lethal removal  worked for individual problem animals but did not work as a population control strategy. Why? Coyotes have intrinsic physiological and behavioral abilities to control their own numbers. If coyotes are removed they increase reproduction and numbers rapidly rebound. The critical population regulation trigger is competition for food. As long as coyotes are well fed (with few coyotes competing for food) their populations will grow. </p>
<p>It is also known that opposite effect occurs if coyotes if coyotes are stressed by competition for food. If there are too many coyotes competing for the food available coyotes will drop the the level sustainable by those resources.</p>
<p>Understanding this relationship, NBCS scientists decided to study the resource use of coyotes on two islands in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. We used GPS tracking collars to find out where the coyotes were spending thier time. We theorized that if we could identify important coyote food resources - and control them - the coyotes would bring their own numbers down. NBCS calls this &quot;passive coyote management.&quot;</p>
<p> Since 2005 when we trapped and collared our first island coyotes we have continually found that the most important food resources to our study are provided by people. That means they are within our control That means we can control coyotes. If we remove anthropogenic resources (human subsidies) coyote numbers will drop to the level sustainable by natural resources. When coyotes are sustained only by natural prey (mice, woodchucks, rabbits, geese, and deer) coyotes numbers will be lower and they will provide helpful pest control services. </p>
<p>Based our scientific data NBCS generated a set of <a href="coyotes/Best Management Practices for Coexistence with Coyotes - Nov 8 2010.pdf" target="_new">Best Management Practices for Coexistence with Coyotes</a>- basically a toolbox for safe, sustainable, community coyote management. We are working with the towns in our study area to adopt the CBMPs and be the first community in the nation to successfully and sustainably manage coyotes. We also believe other cities and towns might be able to use our results as a template if they are experiencing coyote problems. We have only just begun to implement the CBMPs on our islands. We hope in the near future to have all our towns implementing the CBMPs - only then will we see the full impacts they make on coyote numbers and behavioral problems. You can follow our progress on this website.</p>

Helo thanks for responding .  I think it uploads...  It says it does as an assocaiated file when I put to the website.  But that sounds like it is the issue. Those format commands seem to be the one it is ignoring.  I am not familiar with html but I see that the href command is what identifies the path to the file I call TCAStyles.  I notice that dw puts all my files in a local public file and the structure is different - with no public file - at the site.
I am not sure what the 2 dots in the href command mean - there is not a full path.  Is this command valid?  I will try to look into the directory structure on local and remote site and will check for files.

  • When changing to Live View Images do not display...

Yesterday I was working on my website and it is still in the early stages so currently I have just a single image worked into my design.  When I was changing between my code and the live view everything was displaying just fine.  I saved my work yesterday and when I came back today I opened up the same file and found that everything appears fine in the code and the regular design view but as soon as I switch to the live view my images shows up as a tiny blue questionmark box.  I have not changed any code from yesterday- the image appears to be linked to correctly because it displays without a problem in th design view.  I am not sure what is going on- any help is appreciated!

  • Image Slider not appearing/visual in live view/Browser

I updated a link to my image browser and once I hit refresh, everything seemed fine. I checked my rework on live view, and the whole slider (including images and buttons) were no longer visual. (You could not see them.)

I checked in browser and you could also not see them there, either. The ONLY thing I changed was the link to the image. Here is the code, please let me know if you can help out at all.
    Joe

    Jon,
I have not uploaded the page yet, because this issue came up and I did not want a non-functional part of the site available online yet. However, I have done the following:
-Checked the link and that it is correct with no typo's, etc.
-Checked the Javascript (there are no issues there, either.)
I am going to download the original page from the server and compare once again to see if there are differences.
    I will post updates.

  • LCD live viewing & copy work with EOS 70D (W)

    Hi,
Can anyone please provide insight, guidance, solutions to accomplish this efficiently?
    Goal/operation:
I want to use the camera for copy work: portfolio, flat art, photos, objects etc. I have old family photo albums I want to copy/photograph each image separately without removing/disturbing/damaging the images in the books.
The camera is mounted on a vertical copy stand shooting down (subject is mainly flat art).
I want to be able to view through the LCD in live view (camera is 90º facing down at copy board), have manual control, set up & align the subject and shoot the photos using the flash lighting system in quick efficient production process.
    Equipment used:
    Camera EOS 70D (W)
    Minolta Copy stand
Novatron 240 portable light system, 2 lights with polarized sheet film
    synch connections:
wireless - Pocket Wizard Plus 2 Transceiver.
wired - Nikon AS-15 Hot shot cord adapter
    PROBLEM
I am having issues being able to view through the LCD, set up & align the subject and shoot the photos - without jumping through hoops.
It seems I have to switch to Av from M after shutter release to view subject in LCD, then switch back to M for the next shot, camera fails to shoot and shows error message: “Press start/stop button to activate movie shooting”. This doesn’t make sense as I’m not movie shooting.
If I change the mode to “Flash off” and back to “M” then it appears to work, however once I switch to Av mode to view the subject again, it starts the process all over.
There must be a better/easier way.
Could this be a potential bug in the camera? or am I missing something? I don’t see solutions in manual.
Will mode setting “C” Custom allow “Live viewing” w/ custom “Manual control” to bypass the need to use “M” manual setting that wont allow LCD viewing?
    Camera settings:
Shooting with LCD (live view shooting)
    mode setting:
Av - for live viewing and setup of subject
Then switch to M - Manual for manual control and shutter release
Also - I would like to connect to Apple Mac Laptop computer, live view on screen, and if possible have the option to record the photos direct to computer hard disk. Can this be done with this camera? IF so, what is needed?
    Best regards,
    J

-Canon 70D have built-in Wifi, so you can connect your camera with your computer wirelessly for tethered shooting. I have PC so the instruction may be different, but you need to install Canon EOS Utility.
-You can do everything in M mode even Live View. I think you are doing something wrong here, you may need to re-read your manual regarding this problem.
-C mode is customized M mode, so you can do everything in C mode also. With C mode, you can save all the setting so you can come back later. It's a great use in your case where you can make your C mode has all the settings for your work, then when you take the camera out to shoot something else, use other mode. Later, when you come back, just switch back to C so you don't have to change anything.

  • How to view the "Live View" in Final Cut?

    Hi!
I bought the Canon 550d yesterday, and after 30 minutes of use, I realized that the only way to get what you want in terms of focus is to just do it manually.
The only problem is - I need to capture my own face, which means that I can't see anything on the camera screen.
So, I saw that some youtube video makers have their "live" view in final cut, which I thought was brilliant, but I have no idea how to do it.
So here's my question - how do I "view" the live view from my camera in FCP?
    Thanks for the help

most yt-makers don't use FCPX, but designated tools like ScreenFlow which offers such an 'effect'. Like in this short advice I made for a friend ...
for Importing a live-feed, read advice here

  • Live view from java to flex - blinking image

i am trying to simulate a live view using a canon Camera.
I am interacting with the cam using the CanonSDK, i get an image every a short period in order to simulate a video frame by frame. This works fine, i am using java to do the backend and send the images trough BlazeDS to flex.
The problem is not getting the image, the problem is that when i load a new image using something like:
    image.source=my_new_image;
the new image is loaded but it produces a short white blink and it ruins the video...So i would like to know if there is a way to use channels of streaming or some way to pass the set of images in live view to flex and show them in the interface of flex from java.
    Thank you very much!
    Agustina

I have this same problem in an SWF that I have an external image loading into. In another SWF, I don't have this problem. In one instance, the image is at the start of the movie clip and at the other it's on the last frame of the movie clip. My only suggestion would be to load as many of the images as you can off-screen and then put listeners on the images to know they are loaded before you show them. You can do that by:
    this.addElement(image);
    image.addEventListener(FlexEvent.UPDATE_COMPLETE, imageLoaded);
    private function imageLoaded(event:Event):void{
    //image is loaded...

  • Live View Links

Hi - I am new to Dreamweaver and have been following a book to understand it.   I am told that one can test links in live view.  (page 51 in "How-To's 100 Essential techniques" by David Karlins.   I have a page that links to pictures and URLs and this works in Browser Preview.  However the links do not work in live view.   I am sure they did but I must have changed something to stop them.   Can anyone shed some light on this.
    thanks
    Sue

I think I just responded to your other post, but to reiterate, you have done nothing wrong if your links don't "work" in Live View. The Live part of the View is seeing the hover interaction...you can test Spry menus to the extent that they appear to 'drop down' when they should, but you cannot navigate to other pages through Live View.
So continue using your Browser to check out the actual linking and moving to new pages.
