Applet reference using gets corrupted upoing hiding a html window

I am using an applet embedded in a html page. This applet uses JSobject api to make javascript calls like this
window.eval("someFunction()")When i hide this html window then upon show of that window applet reference gets invalid wheras it is properly shown on html window. If i made a call to applet from Javascript then some exceptions(NULL pointer exception, failed to evaluate eval() etc) occurs in java code which seems applet's some variables have null values
I don't think it matters, the browser will get rid of the applet resources when it's good and ready to do so -- there is not much you can do.

ActiveX Automation Reference getting corrupted when sharing with Teststand
I am using ActiveX Automation to interact with a 3rd Party Software. I use LabVIEW Functional Global to store the activeX reference. I have some low-level APIs with the Automation Refnum In and Out and few high level APIs which use the reference from Functional Global. I am also using these APIs in Teststand. When I store the Automation Reference in the Teststand Local Variable and pass it to the low-level APIs, It was working fine. But when I pass the Reference from the Teststand Local Variable to the Functional Global and use it afterwards, the reference is getting corrupted and I am getting error.
I have created a prototype of the situation using ActiveX call to Skype from LabVIEW. The attached file has 3 Teststand sequences explaining the situation.
Debug1.seq : Passes the reference from TS Local to LV Functional Global : Generates error
Debug2.seq : Uses the reference from TS Local alone : No error

I am using the WinXP and I am calling the DLL provided by Pirouette for their chemometrics software. I just solved the error -2147467262, but the new error comes out is :
Error code: -2147467259 Exception occured in IxAsObjs.CoSIMCAPredict.1, Language Server QueryInterface failed: No such interface supported.
Here is a few word for the problem from priouette:
" just a few more words that might help you understand the nature of the problem. your LabView client talks to AlgSuite.dll using IDispatch interfaces AlgSuite.dll communicates with the language server on an IUnknown interface.

Since the VB demo works fine in my machine, so they though it is percular to labview. Any comments? I appreciate it.

Screen randomly gets corrupted
Regardless of what sites I am browsing the screen can get corrupted, including menu bars, download windows, etc. This also includes minimizing Firefox to go do something else in Windows, and all or part of the Firefox screen will pop back up, but will be more like a "ghost image" of it, i.e. mousing over things will reveal what *should* be there, making that part of the Firefox ghost-image disappear. This also happens to a lesser extent with Thunderbird.
Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver. -
Roaming profile gets corrupted after password change during session logon.
When users are force to change password during logon (after it has expired) their roaming profile gets corrupted. All workstations are Windows 8 and domain is Server 2008 R2. The delete cached profile copies policy is enabled and therefore the issue matches
exactly with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971338/en-gb except it's the wrong OS.
I've been trying to find a hotfix for Windows 8 without any luck so just wondering if anybody managed to get around this issue.Hi,
Have you tried the workaround method in the link? did it worked? Actually, form now, there is still no helpful hotfix to fix this problem.
In addition, what about change password from other client? not Windows 8.

If I change the getTitle( ) in the displayInfoScreen method to a fixed string, it works fine. Did I forget anything as far as using getter & setter method? Do I have to specify some type of handle to sync between setter and getter between two classes? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.Your class A extends runnable which leads me to believe that this is a multi-threaded application. In that case, title may or may not be a shared variable. Who knows? It's impossible to tell from what you posted.
Anyway, what is happening is that your applet is being painted by the JFrame before setTitle is called. After that, who knows what's happening. It's a complicated application. I suspect that if you called setTitle before you added the applet to the frame, it would work. -
I downloaded the full Ultimate Christmas. I have a corrupt song. I have Windows XP so I can not use the iTunes Cloud. It says that is the only way to re-download songs now is via the Cloud. How do I get a uncorrupted version of my song?
When I thing of the Thousands of dollars I have spent to get a 2000 song library and how Applle keeps screwing Windows users (no back-up of songs) I just think what a fool I was.I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

The PDF file and slideshow view corrupted using iPhoto. Macbook air only get corrupted slideshow and Mac Mini both slideshow and PDF file is corrupted.
Saving as a PDF file for some users have been a problem. If you boot into Safe Mode and run iPhoto you can create undamaged PDF files. We don't know why the problem but this is a workaround.
This problem prevents many from ordering books, calendars and cards since iPhoto creates PDF file of them for uploading and printing. Booting into Safe Mode lets them successfully order those items. -
My HD gets corrupted when using FF 21. I revert back to 20 and everything is fine.
I am using MAC PRO, system 10.6.8 and for some reason, I upgraded to FF 21 and my HD started to get corrupted. I had to revert back to 20 and everything seem to be ok. I used disk utility to fix it and that worked but am afraid if I continue to upgrade I will get these error messages. I am not sure if this is the issue.

I have RMI remote object on the server side, and my client is an applet.
In the applet I use JNDI to get the reference of the server object, and
use it. The problem is after sometime ( like 10 min or so) I get
weblogic.rmi.NoSuchObjectException
and at the WLServer console I see
' <DGCServer> tried to renew lease for 1 lost reference'.
At the server side, I bind the object using JNDI.
I want thsi reference to be available all the time in the applet.

Jwc_properties.ini get corrupt sometimes
Hi,
I've read in some answers on this forum that the jwc_properties.ini file gets corrupted sometimes. The answer then is that this usually happens when the RPI is disconnected without a proper shutdown.
However, I have seen that the file gets corrupted in some error situations as well. For example, when I was testing how fast gpio pins can handle incoming triggers, I overloaded the system with input signals, which caused the usertest.sh to quit. In this case, the jwc_properties.ini file was always corrupt. I had to replace it by its original version to be able to continue.
Another possible problem is a power failure. Of course, you can use a UPS to overcome a power failure for a while, but if the power failure takes too long, then the UPS will run out of power as well. In that case, the RPI will be shut down at an arbitrary moment, and maybe also damage the jwc_properties.ini.
Is there a way to protect this file, so that corruptions never occur, or get corrected automatically?

I didn't use DIRECTION_BOYH. What I did was using 2 gpio as output (to control a led), and 2 others as input. Each of the input gpio was connected to 1 of the leds, and observing 1 of the leds.
Then I created a loop to activate/deactivate both leds as fast as possible. I used an infinite loop in which I activated both leds, and then immediately deactivated the leds again.
With the input gpio, I just increased a counter by 1, each time a led was activated. Finally, I used a reporter imlet, that read the counter every 4 seconds, and showed the value on the std out.
I also didn't try to change the direction. I always used the same 2 pins for input, and the same 2 pins (different frm the input) for output.
When this setup led upto an error (due to the input not able to follow the output, I believe), I got some error messages on the screen, and hte usertest.sh stopped.
Then I restarted the usertest.sh (using sudo), and tried to start my application again (via netbeans). Then I always got an error that a gpio pin was not free, hence could not be setup, and for that reason the gpio reference I got was null, and resulted in a nullpointer exception when trying to address it (I don't remember if this was writing to the pins or adding a listener to the input pins)

Cross-Reference using Text Anchor problems
I am having problems with creating "New Cross-Reference" using a "Text Anchor" in CS4 Indesign.
I can mimic what I want using a "Link to Paragraph", selecting the paragraph style and link, and then using the "Partial paragraph and Page Number" options.
I would prefer doing this using a Text Anchor.
I've tried creating a text hyperlink, but in whatever I am doing, I never get any "Text Anchor" OPTIONS in the New Cross-Reference menu.
Adobe should also change the Text Anchor menu item, since there are "Text Anchor" options in InDesign that appear to have nothing to do with Cross-Referencing.
The other problem I am having is that in defining the open-quote and closed-quotes around the Paragraph Text variable, I wish to have typesetter's quotes instead of the default vertical quotes. If I use the Splat button to choose ^{^} options, then I get funky "G"'s in my reference instead of typesetters quotes -- even if I choose a "Character Sytle for Cross Reference" and force it to my current font choice. What's going on here?

I agree that it's confusing. Here's how I do it:
To create a text anchor at the insertion point location:
* Open the Hyperlinks/Cross-References panel's menu (also called "flyout menu." It's the small icon at the upper-right of the panel, below the double-arrow (>>) icon that collapses the panel.
* Choose New Hyperlink Destination. THIS SHOULD BE NAMED NEW TEXT ANCHOR!!!
* Choose Type: Text Anchor
* Name the anchor as you like Click OK.
To create a cross-reference to a text anchor:
* Place the insertion point where you want it.
* Click the Create new Cross-Reference button on the bottom of the Hyperlinks/Cross-Reference panel.
* Choose Link To: Text Anchor
* Choose the target document
* Choose the text anchor
* Choose the Cross-Reference format
* Choose Appearance properties
* Click OK
I'm not sure what could cause the straight/curly quotes problem other than perhaps the font doesn't have curly quotes. Have you tried other fonts?

PDF file gets corrupted when generated from BSP

Applet does not get loaded when viewed in a browser
Hi,
I have an applet,which works fine when I use appletviewer to see it. But from the browser, the applet does not get loaded.
An error appears at the bottom of the browser that load: class not found.
Any suggestions...please..

PoojaIf you are using Internet Explorer, you should check to see if your browser is set to use Sun's JRE that came with your download of the SDK. (If you didn't install the JRE, you need to go back and run that on your machine. You can check to see if you are using Java's runtime enviornment (JRE) in Internet Explorer by opening IE and going to Tools --> Internet Options... --> and then going to the Advanced tab. Scroll down and make sure the box next to Java Sun "use Java 2 for <applet>" is checked. If that option is not available, you need to install the JRE.
If that doesn't help, try using the HTML converter that comes with the SDK. It'll take your current HTML page, and you can customize it to force a download and/or usage of the JRE for applet viewing if for your particular browser.

Messages getting corrupted in Mail app with Gmail
I'm having a following recurring problem with Mail app and my Gmail (company) account: At least once a day Mail app database is getting corrupted / out of sync with Gmail account. Mail is showing most of the mails correctly in the UI but some of the new messages are not the right ones but rather copies of older, typically already deleted emails. I.e. Instead of showing the real new msg content (subject, sender, msg body) it is showing in its place an older already deleted msg. How do I know: I go and check what Gmail webmail shows in browser window.
Rebuilding account sometimes works, often not. Usually I have to rebuild, close mail app, start again to get it back in sync. I have tried once deleting all Envelope-index files in Mail Library so that it did a longer rebuild. Helped for few hours and then this started again. Mail app is getting corrupted at least once a day. Very annoying because I cannot trust what I see, but have to check constantly webmail, which I would rather not use as my main tool for mail.
This problem started already with Lion and continued with Mountain Lion.
I guess next step is to delete all my account & setting and re-configure Mail app. Any other tips?I'll chime in here to say that it affects me too.
Using gmail and mail ActOn to move messages around in mail.app. I'll start trying to see if I can make the corruption happen without using ActOn. I didn't have this problem in 10.4; and I only spent a week with 10.5 so I don't remember it happening then.
How do you identify the messages in the the finder for deleting so they can be re-downloaded? I've been accessing my corrupted attachments through gmail's web interface, so your work around would be easier than mine, assuming there is an easy way to find the right message.
