Applet within a table tag.

Hi,
I have placed an applet within a <table> tag. The applet does not get executed. I see only blank space, even though the HTML source has the applet tag. If I remove the table tags and place the applet directly in <body>, then it works fine. So there isnt any problem with the codebase or anything.
Are there any specific rules as to inside which tags can the <applet> tag be embedded? I would apprecite any information regarding this.

IExplorer doesn`t build up an applet within a plugin tag

I`m developing a jsp application on a Netscape 6.0. Within it, the applets work fine, but within an IExplorer 6.0 there is nothing built up. Not even a grey square or any kind of ERROr-message.
Why?

Make sure in your IE settings the Java Sun
Use Java 2 v1.3 (applet) is checked
Also I would checkout some of the other java options in the IE explorer to make sure that is ok.

Why do tables not display within a cfform tag?

i have included the html/cfm for a page it will not dispay in
the center of the display nor will the descriptions in the table
defined within the cfform tag display. i defined the cfform format
= flash because i want to use the calendar to select the date.
what am i missing???

when you use format=flash any html code you have inside
cfform is
totally ignored. you have to code your form fields very
differently with
format=flash...

Now I tried to run this applet in a portlet under WebLogic 8.1 SP3. But the applet doesn't load. There ist only a gray rectangle to see. No error message, which would help to find the problem.
To load the applet I'm using the Applet tag as follows:

BC4J/JSP: Missing navigation values in table tag

We are using BC4J view objects, overriding the native functionality of the view object to call PL/SQL APIs plus JSPs with UIX/Cabo tags to render output for BC4J.
Within the JSP the dataSource/view object rangesize is set to 6 and we are using the table tag.
When rendering a page for the first time, the table tag navigator correctly shows the number of records eg. 1-6 of 100 and navigation through the record set works perfectly eg. next set is 7-12 of 100.
If you exit that page (to display another page) then return to it, the table tag navigator in the first page contains no values and it is not possible to navigate through the record sets. This happens to all our pages when rendering them more than once.
The log file shows that on the initial rendering of the first page, the Estimated Row Count is set correctly, and continues to be correct whilst navigating through the data. When returning to the first page after showing another page, the Estimated Row Count is 0.

I assume this doesn't happen in the non-overriden view objects. Can you provide more information on what functionality you have overriden since getEstimatedRowCount() doesn't seem to work in your version of the view object?

Slide Effect within a Table

I'm trying to add a simple Spry slide effect to some text on
one of my web sites, however the text dissapears in IE7. I've
managed to cut it down to the most basic code where the problem
occurs and it turns out to be a table cell. I took the slide
example and cut it down until it doesn't work. I'm referencing the
css and js that comes with the spry 1.6 prerelease build. This code
works fine in Firefox. If you remove the table tags, it also works
in IE7. However, with the table tags present, the text doesn't show
up at all in IE7 (although the background color does slide up and
down). I'd like to be able to keep the table tags in my actual site
because it helps to keep the shape of the page. I can't believe
know one else has run into this issue, but I haven't found anything
online. If you have any tips, please let me know. Otherwise,
consider this a bug report.

I am also having this problem. I've written a custom JSF
component that could technically be used in all sorts of situations
within an HTML page. During the initial component development, the
case of adding the component within a table on IE was never tested.
Only later when some other developer was reusing the component in
another project did the Slide effect within a table in IE issue
crop up. As it's a JSF component, there really isn't a very elegant
way to move the javascript to another location within the HTML page
and a previous poster pointed out. Help!

What worked for me was to add a flush="false" to each of the <tiles:insert tags in my layout page.
I'm using this with JSF so it may be different for you:
... Layout stuff ...
   <tiles:insert attribute="body" flush="false" />
... More layout stuff, including more inserts with the flush="false" ....

Deploying on a standalone OC4J everything works.
Is there some configuration to add to the web.xml file or somewhere else? I tried also on Tomcat 4.0.3 with same results.
I added this lines in web.xml to avoid the problems descripted in thread BC4J entity objects vs EJB2.0 entity beans

I looked better at my page and it has been modified from that produced by the wizard. In fact, the problem arises substituting a DataTable tag with a RowsetIterate in which I put a DataRecord.

Using HTML table tags instead of panelGrid

Is is possible to avoid using the panelGrid component for table-based HTML layouts, and still take advantage of JSF functionality?
Basically, I have a reasonably complicated HTML layout using traditional <table> tags and don't really want to convert it to use the panelGrid component, largely because the latter doesn't seem to make it easy to precisely control inidividual cell dimensions/alignments etc. Can I still use JSF components within this table or do they have to be within a panelGrid?
My early experimentation hasn't been too promising. The table-based layout displays fine, but any attempt to put inputText components within the layout, simply displays them at the very top of the screen. Am I missing something fundamental?
Any help or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated. I'm new to JSF and like what I've seen so far, but it would worry me if I was forced to use JSF tags for layout.

Loop at Conditions within internal table

I have not been ABAPing long so primarily have been using keyword help...
I am trying to loop round an itab and only select and process unique keys from within the table!
However the table I am using to obtain the records has multiple records with the same reference and I am only interested in each unique occurrence of the IBASE_COMPONENT_GUID field.
So there could be four items for one Appliance and four for another one. So of the eight records, I would only need to loop round and select the unique GUIDS.
So there would only be two unique appliances I need to extract the records for.
Basically I am trying to do something like this:
LOOP AT GT_ITEM_DATA INTO GS_ITEM_DATA WITH UNIQUE KEY IBASE_COMPONENT_GUID.
Is there a way to select each unique occurrence?

Basically, I use the COLLECT statement when I need to get the unique field (character only) field from the internal table.
Create a table with only one field, GUID.
LOOP through your main table, assign its GUID to new table's field GUID
Use COLLECT new_table.
Other option is,
Sort the table by GUID
Loop through it and use AT NEW GUID or AT END OF GUID
Fill out the table with this GUID.

Authorization issue within a table in BI

Hello All,
Here is my authorization issue :
We have set up an authorization on infoobject Zapplication. End user is allowed to choose "HR" only.
In Rsecadmin, infoObject Zapplication is restricted to "HR"
Then, this authorization object has been assigned to end user.
This user go to a specific table to select an application and a date.
When user display the possible value he only see "HR". Which means our authorization is correct.
However, this user can enter another value such as "SD". This value does exist in infoObject Zapplication. So, it means that there is an issue with our authorizations settings.
We have added a control table, it's even worse in this case, authorization are not checked at all and all available values are displayed.
Any idea to prevent the user to entered a value within this table ?
Why our authorization does not check the value entered directly in the table ?

How can I make the GRID lines more bold within a table in the new Pages? (Not the outline of a table)

I can't find where to darken GRID lines on a table in the new Pages. I can make the outline more bold, but not the grid lines within the table. Is there a way to do this? The default grid lines are far too faint.

Yeah, the Help is missing a little.
If you select the block of cells that you want to change, then in the Format inspector:
Select the Cell tab
Expand the Border section
Set a line type
Set a line width
Choose a line color
Choose one of the nine options for which borders get the new settings

Error in Creating Advance table within Advanvce Table via view link

Hii all,
i hve created a Advance table within Advanvce Table as given in the developer guide using the Detail functionality of the advance table
im facing the following error................
## Detail 0 ##
java.lang.NullPointerException
at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAAdvancedTableHelper.updateInnerTableProperties(OAAdvancedTableHelper.java:1752)
i hve done all the steps as suggested by gurus to implement this Master Detail functionality. Pl help me out if any one had implemented it

I hve already created a transient attribute in Master VO attached to the outter advance table and had set this attribute in detail attribute property of outter
advance table. But im facing the same error.
