Applicable OSB service points to attach Work Managers

Hi All,
Currently I have an OSB design as below:
I have 3 work managers each having a different fair share class as per their priorities.
I have a single HTTP Proxy service, which takes the hit from all source applications. Based on a DVM and message contents, the proxy determines the priority of the particular request message, and will accordingly route it to one of 3 HTTP proxies (Priority 1 HTTP Proxy, Priority 2 HTTP Proxy, Priority 3 HTTP Proxy). These 3 HTTP Proxy services will then forward the request further to other OSB and target appplication services.
On each of the 3 priority proxy services, I have assigned the appropriate work manager.
However, I am confused on whether to assign a work manager to the exposed HTTP Proxy or not. If I do assign a work manager, whether a fair share request class should be assigned or not. From what I read in oracle documentation, assigning a work manager without fair share class, will assign a fair share of 50 automatically.
What should be done to the exposed HTTP Proxy in order to achieve the prioritization of requests processing.

Hi,
as far as I know there is no standard way of doing this in CRM 7.0.
I imaging it would be possible to call an ERP smartform from CRM by :
- writing an RFC capable function module in ERP that wraps the call of the smartform and returns the generated PDF data.
- writing a function or method in CRM that calls the ERP function module and displays the returned data.
In the lead and opportunity the print preview is done by having a print relevant action in the action profile assigned to the transaction type and I guess for these it should be possible to call a function module by creating an own smart forms method.
But I think this is not possible for an ERP quotation, so you would have to create an own button. In the event handler for this button, one could call the ERP function module and display the result.

  • Reporting Services Point status message errors.

My Reporting Services Point seems to work OK -all reports are available and run correctly both through the console and via the website. However, I am seeing the following warning in the SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT status messages every hour:
"The SQL Reporting Services datasource on Reporting point server "Databaseserver.contoso.com" is missing or has been changed outside of Configuration Manager.  It will be rebuilt based on the RSP configuration."
Here's what I think is causing the issue, but I don't know how to solve it.
The reports database is on the same remote SQL server as my site database. Because these site systems were installed automatically through the SCCM installation process, they show up in the Servers and Site Systems Role without an intranet FQDN. However,
when I add the RSP to the database server, it creates a new entry because when manually adding site systems SCCM insists on automatically adding the intranet FQDN. So I now have two separate entries for the same server:
\\DBServer01 - component server, site database server, site system
\\DBServer01.contoso.com - component server, reporting services point, site system
Any thoughts on how to stop these errors?

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
In the past when I have seen this, they will automatically clean themselves up after a few days. (aka up to a week later). Have it clean itself up yet?

  • Reporting Services Point - possibly permissions issue

I'm having a really hard time configuring a working reporting services point in my test SCCM 2012 R2 environment and was hoping someone might be able to help me work out what's gone wrong.
My servers are WS2008 R2.  SQL Server 2008 R2 is installed on the primary site server and holds the site database.  I installed SSRS onto a separate site server and added it as a reporting services point.  This worked, and I see the list of
reports in the SCCM admin console.  However, when I try to run a report - either from the console or via web browser - I get this message:
The default value expression for the report parameter 'usertokensids' contains an error.  There are no logon servers available to service the logon request. (rsRuntimeErrorInExpression)

[25, PID:3096][06/12/2014 11:24:05] :[fqdnofprimaryserver] : The request failed with HTTP status 503: Server Error.
Now, the reason I think this is a permissions issue is because srsrp.log on the Reporting Point server shows this:
(!) Error retrieving folders - [Login failed for user 'domain\reportingservercomputername$'.].
(I've removed the actual name here, obviously.)
I'm really puzzled about what's going on here, what is trying to authenticate with the SSRS server's machine credentials, and what for.  Looking in SQL Server Management Studio on the primary site server which hosts the SQL database, I can see that
the account has a login listed and it has its default schema listed as DBO.  On the SSRS server, in Reporting Services Configuration Manager, the Report Server Service Account is set to a dedicated domain user account.  The Current Report Server
Database Credential is set to my own Windows login using Current User - Integrated Security - I can't seem to get it to accept the dedicated user account.
Can anyone help me figure out what's gone wrong and how I fix it, please?  I'm by no means a SQL person, and I'm at my wit's end with this!
    Thanks,
    M

    The plot thickens.
    The SSRS server has these:
"The report server has detected a possible denial of service attack. The report server is dropping requests for service from the IP address 192.168.113.163" (this is the IP address of the primary site system, which hosts the SQL database)
    and then
"Report Server Windows Service (MSSQLSERVER) cannot connect to the report server database"
The primary site system, meanwhile, has got thousands of these:
"Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\SSRSSERVERNAME$'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors. [CLIENT: 192.168.113.164]" (that's the IP of the SSRS server)
The Windows firewall is off for both systems.  They're on an isolated test network.  I still don't understand where the setting is that tells it to make SQL queries using the SSRS server's machine account, rather than the dedicated service account
    I created.
Any more ideas?  Thanks for your help so far - I really appreciate it!

  • Throtting or Work Managers - OSB @ method level

Would it be possible to throttle a BS or set a work manager for the PS at the WSDL operation level?

Work-manager setup and throttling are two different concepts. Throttling is used to restrict the message flow to a business service however work managers are used to prioritize service work. Remember that in case of throttling there is possibility of message loss however with work manager setup there is no such possibility.
To give an example, suppose you are routing PO ACK's to target system. Given that, latest PO ACK is sufficient to provide the status of PO, it is not mandatory to deliver all the PO ACKs to the target system. So if I have to restrict the flow to target system here, I will use throttling.
If there are two type of messages being processed in your OSB, suppose PO and PO ACK, you will always prefer that PO gets processed on priority and PO ACK processing must not affect the PO processing. Hence here I will use work-manager to prioritize the processing of PO.

  • MIGO - Services of object (Attach document) doesn't work

    Hello Everyone
I am using SAP netweaver 7.
When Using MIGO, I can see the Services of Object button to add attachment and notes.
When I am trying to attach a new document or even create a note, the system give me a message that the document has been created but the "Attachment list" option is still not available.
So I cannot see the document that I just attached.
Trying with transaction VL02N, VF02 and other transactions, it does work. The Services of object is working fine. I can add attachment and notes and of course I can retreive it.
Furthermore, the table SOOD add a record when I am attaching a PC document in MIGO.
Is anyone have an idea why, in MIGO, the creation of an attachment or a note, doesn't activate the "Attachment list" option?
    Regards
    dstj
Edited by: dstj on Nov 2, 2009 9:38 PM

    Hello everyone
I just found what the problem was.
When creating a good receipt / purchase order in MIGO, you can attach documents and notes but you cannot see what you did until you performed a post and go back to the display mode of the posted document.
    Here are the steps.
    1. Perform the reception.
    2. Add the document, using the services of object
    3. post
    4. Go back in display material document and enter the document that you've just created
    5. Go to the Services of object, than the "Attachment List" will be available and will list the documents that you attached.
It is very annoying to have to post before we can validate what have been added to the attachment or the notes.
As far as I am concerned, we should be able to see the attachment and notes as soon as it as been created.
That way, we can validate, before posting, if all the work has been done correctly, specifically when you have been disturbed in process.
Furthermore, based on my observation, if we are attaching documents and not performing the post, the documents have been loaded in SAP database but will never be linked or deleted from it.
I hope that is not happening to often otherwise that could that a lot of space.

  • Attaching OWSM Policy to OSB Services

    Hi,
Can anyone please share the detailed procedure of how to attach the OWSM policy to a Proxy Service in OSB 11g.
The documentaion of OSB 11g doesnt provide the information of attaching the OWSM polic to OSB services.
    please refer
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e15866/owsm.htm#CHDBIJHD
I created a Custom Policy with the predefined assertion wss_username_token_service_template .
But i couldnt find a way to attach this policy to OSB Service. Also the OSB 11g Documentation didnt help much.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi All,
I figured out a way of how to attach the OWSM policy to a prox service.
Its pretty simple in that way.
After you create a proxy service, Click on the proxy you created which opens the "View a Proxy Service" page.
In that there are many tabs such as
    1. Configuration Details
    2. Operational Settings
    3. SLA Alert Rules
    4. Policies
    5. Security
In Policies tab, you can select "OWSM Policy Bindings" and then choose the policy you want.
The only thing bothering me now is how to test it?
I have used the following assertion to create the policy "wss_username_token_service_template "
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers.

  • Work Managers for SOA composites

    Hi All,
We have couple composites which needs to be deployed on Oracle SOA 11g, weblogic as platform. My question is can we set work managers for different composites like we generally set dispatch policy for proxy services in OSB. Please let me know.
    Regards.

    Hi
I don't believe you set workmanagers on a composite by composite basis but it may be possible to setup new application scoped work managers in Weblogic although I have never tried this...

  • Reporting Services Point, remote SQL issue

I'm trying to install Reporting Services Point on a remote SQL 2008 R2 SP2 server. I select the SQL server under Servers and Site System Roles and it lists the site database server name, database name (should this name be the same as the DB found in Reporting
Services Configuration Manager?), folder name and reporting services server instance. I enter a new account that is a sysadmin on the SQL click verify and get:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
(provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified).
Ping works both ways, remote connection on this SQL instance are enabled, static ports configured, a rule to allowany is set in the firewall. Should I perhaps be entering the port (this instance uses a non-standard one) in the Add Site System Roles
    Wizard?
If I open up Reporting Services Configuration Manager, the service is started, mode is native, a domain user account is used for the service account, web service URL opens, I even created a new DB. Report Manager URL opens.
SCCM itself uses the same remote SQL instance, so it appears connectivity works fine.
    Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you very much - CypherMike.
    You helped me so much!!!
I installed the DB on another Instance so i had to change the port # and just here i found this info that i need to use comma to define the port.
    Tnx

  • Reporting Services Point SSL after Role installed

    Scenario,
Reporting Services (SQL 2012) installed on a remote server and not configured with SSL.  Reporting Services Point installed and functioning correctly.
We now have enabled SSL in RS Configuration using a cname for the certificate (sccmreports.domain.com) and it is working via web browser, however when I attempt to remove the port 80 binding it breaks SCCM's ability to connect to the reporting point via
the admin console.   Presumably, if SSL is not enabled prior to installing the RSP that SCCM only knows to connect via HTTP?
If this is the case, outside of uninstalling and re-installing the RSP now is there a way to "tell" SCCM to use HTTPS to connect?  Maybe its a different issue altogether?
    Thanks!

The SSRS connection info is stored in Site control file, which is in the view vSMS_SC_SiteControlXML. If you change the SSRS address manually, the info cannot be updated automatically so that you must reinstall SSRS.

  • No Phone Service - Internet and TV Work

It's been 36 hours now and my FiOS Phone Service is still not working.  I called customer service more times than I can count and they haven't been able to do anything.  Nor have they called back when they promised to.  I finally got a tehcnician out here to make a service call.
He was here for 4 1/2 hours.  The reason he was here for so long was because he had to wait for his service calls to his office to be answered.  He spent at least 3 hours on hold for his tech support.  He replaced all of the FiOS equipment in our house as instructed by the techs he was dealing with, and our phone still doesn't work.  He finally said there was no point in his staying here and left.
I'm now on hold with tech support, again.  They've given me plenty of appologies, but no answers.
I left Comcast a year ago because Verizon FiOS was cheaper and supposed to be superior.  It may be cheaper, but it is definitely not better.  In 7 years with Comcast, I never lost my phone service.  Not once.  When I left Comcast, the "Retention Specialist" said "You'll be back."  It looks like he was right.  I'm voiding the year I have left on my contract with Verizon for their failure to provide service and returning to Comcast as soon as they can get me connected.

I had to press the power button to turn the server off for several times, then the broken hard drive went disappeared. After that, I had to disable the Spotlight. Then the server went back to work normally.
Now I made a CCC copy of the primary hard drive, and would like to have the server run on the external raid disk (connected through thunderbolt). Does anyone have previous experience with it? Any expectable drawback or issue with this setup?

I'm a bit perplexed because the admin shares can be accessed on the servers. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm also seeing these in SMS_HIERARCHY_MANAGER
Hierarchy Monitoring detected that the SQL Server xxxx.xxx.xx Service Broker certificate has missed or is expired, and failed to remediate with Error Failed to read SQL SSB certificate..
Any ideas why this is happening?
I ran this query and looks like the cert is fine
    "select s.name, c.name, c.start_date, c.expiry_date
     from sys.services s
     join sys.certificates c on s.principal_id = c.principal_id
     where c.pvt_key_encryption_type = 'MK'
      and c.is_active_for_begin_dialog = 1
and GETUTCDATE() BETWEEN c.start_date AND c.expiry_date
      and s.service_id > 2;"

Why does it think my cert is near expired?
