Hmmm... I once had an error "duplicate path" when building.
As far as I can remember it was because I had several folders on my hard drive with different versions of the my soft and the problem was that 2 VIs with the same name were loaded from different place.
Could it be the same for you ?

  • CS3 applications on Mac OSX 10.5.7 do not start anymore

Hi Folks, I have searched on forums and googled this issue to no avail. I have the CS3 Master Collection on my Mac OSX 10.5.7. It has been running fine until today when I started dreamweaver cs3 the application crashed just after opening with no warning or error message. I tried to restart and the icon bounced a few times and then nothing happened. I then tried Flash CS3 and Photoshop CS3, all the same they don't even display the loading screen? The only thing I have done recently that may have affected this is install a trial version of Flash Catalyst? I also notice a performance issue on my mac as well, movies do not run smoothly and when I scroll in the web browser it is jerky..
    Can anyone help?
    Cheers,
    Steve

Further to my last post I have now discovered that it was a licensing issue with CS3. I do not know why the license issue came up but basically this was my problem here and now I have fixed it. When this issue started there were no warning, error or dialogue boxes so if anyone has the same issue I would try running the Licence Recovery tool from Adobe

  • From where to download and install applications for MAC-OSX.

    hello everyone,
I am trying to develop experimental HLS server and for that i need following cmd-line tools for my MAC-OSX-10.6.8.

Can someone please provide some help,
from where to download and install these cmd-line tools?
    I need following tools:

  • Can't boot to Mac osx, Error -2100F

    Hi there,
I got a Macbook Pro Retina Late 2012, and I made a dual boot to Windows 7 today.
The problem is when I try to boot to Mac osx it automaticly start up as Windows 7.
I tried to use the Command key to get the Mac osx running and the only boot that I see is Windows 7.
After that i tried using Command + R to recover it and it gave me an error -2100F.
I also tried to use Boot Camp to Boot to Mac but that also goes straight to Windows.
My guess is that I deleted the wrong partition when I installed Windows 7 and that i am unable to boot to Mac osx now.
Can anyone help me fix the problem?
    Thanks in Advance

Use your backup(s). Erase and restore.
Also XP is not being actively supported.
With OS X upgrades you always need to check and make sure you have the latest, like Parallels 7, or there is VirtualBox 4.x
Sounds like you simply had a corrupt hard drive.
Lion 10.7 will only support Windows 7 except in a VM.

  • Labview 8.2 application builder gives load error 3

    Hi,
I have been developing a Labview application that I am compiling to an executable for others to run. It has been working fine until I recently made an update to the VI, but not the build settings, and now the executable generates a load error 3 for several of the sub vi's.
I am using labview 8.2 professional. I've tried using the advice in support doc 33CDL8QX but I cannot change any of the sub vi settings - everything is greyed out as shown in this image:
I've tried toggling the 'Remove Panel' option globally but this has no effect.
I'd be grateful for any help, this is driving me mad!
    Cheers,
    Pete

    Hey there pete,
Is it possible to post your project or a shinked version of it that generates the error? I would have recomended having a look at the knowledge base you mentioned but you cannot change any of the sub vi settings. Could you attach the screenshot to your reply as I cannot see it.
Did you have a backup of your application? Do you get the same error if you try and build an installer?

Any suggestions, or is there any further information I can provide? I am using Labview 2010.
    Thanks,
    -Andrew

Thanks for the response. However, I looked through the article, and it does not seem to be applicable to this case because I am not attempting to include any of the listed drivers. For my program, I am only referencing standard Labview VIs and one DLL driver for the instrument I am working with.
I actually tried simplifying the problem by creating an exe build of a while loop with a button. When I tried to create an installer for this program, I got a very similar error.
Ultimately, I found that I was able to build an installer if I performed some combination of building an exe of my program, running the exe, stopping it, keeping the program in memory, etc. I am not entirely sure what is happening, and it is very convoluted. It is not a reliable way for me to get an installer to build for my program.

  • Application builder-run time error

I cannot run my exe file I have always the following message , see attachment.
    What can be the problem?
    Attachments:
    run-time engine error.jpg ‏42 KB

Is the run-time engine installed? A LV EXE can not run without the RTE.
When you build an EXE, you have the option to create an installer, which will also install the RTE. If you build an EXE with no VI defined, it should build an installer with only the RTE.
Alternatively, you can try looking for the RTE installer on your LV CD or on this site.

  • Fax Application for Mac OSX

Does anyone know a good fax application, that I cam use using an email client?
I have FaxAway, that I used to use in my windows. It doesn't work with may Mac.
    Thanks,

You don't need a separate fax program - the Mac can send and receive faxes by itself provided you have an internal or external modem. Connect the modem, go to System Preferences, Print and Fax, and add your modem as a fax. Set up preferences such as your phone number, receive options (answer after a number of rings, email/print/save the fax, etc). Then go to any application (Mail, Safari, Word), and use the Print command, then PDF - Fax PDF, to send a fax.

  • Can I use the citrix metaframe to run windows applications on Mac OSX?

Sorry if I put this in the wrong forum, but I was wondering, if I could use the citrix metaframe to run Windows apps in OSX. Thanks in advance for the help!

    Nope.

  • During an application build I received an error 7 for a missing source NI vi 1d linear evaluation.vi

During an application build, I got "Error 7 occurred at c:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6\vi.lib\Analysis\8numerc.llb\1D Linear Evaluation.vi - source does not exist".
This existed in Labview 5.1.1. Was it deleted in 6.0?

No, this VI is in the following location "Functions >> Analyze >> Mathematics >> Array Operations>>1D Linear Evaluation.vi"
Perhapse this in a package (Advanced Analysis) that is not included in your version of LabVIEW. You may need to upgrade to get these VIs, or you can copy them over from your Labview 5.1.1 installation.

  • How do I bundle a jre with an RCP appl on Mac OSX

    Hi,
We are making an RCP appl with kepler.
I want to ship the jre's with the appl.
On windows I can just ship a jre dir in the root, no problem.
On the Mac (10.8.4) it does not seem to work, at least not in an obvious way.
I downloaded the latest 1.7 jre (25) for Mac from the oracle website.
    I tried the following:
unzip it and put it in a jre dir in the root => not used, falling back to system jre
same and put '-vm' in the ini => error saying 1.6.0_51 is not supported (huh? I do not even have 1.6)
I tried exporting an appl (with bundled jre) from eclipse using the product definition. That works but when I look at the generated appl tree I see a jre dir with another jre dir inside it ??? The inner jre dir seems to be a (partial) duplicate of the outer one.
Ok, sort of at least, now I tried to copy my downloaded jre dir inside itself. That works, but if I remove the contents of one of them it does not work anymore and I do not really want to ship a double jre.
Can anybody shed some light here?
What is the optimal way to bundle a jre with an RCP application on Mac OSX?
    Thanks,
    Tom

I have done this within our product and have it working. It's tricky because if you're using Maven to build, OS X's JRE symlink's libjvm.dylib - which Java's unzip invariably screws up.
I was only able to get this to work by using Tycho, as the app export within the PDE is just plain broken (and seemingly unmaintained). This bug has been there for quite some time - I don't have any faith in it ever getting fixed, regardless of whatever bugzilla says.
If you're building RCP apps for distribution - you should probably consider using Tycho anyways; admittedly there's a lot of BS that comes with it, but it's the only seemingly straightforward way to build and package an RCP app in a headless manner for continuous integration. Buckminster is supposedly also a solution - but it has less information and support than Tycho - so YMMV.
Anyways back to your problem. Using Tycho with some custom maven magic, I was able to solve this. Essentially I downloaded the JRE from Oracle, and uploaded to our Artifactory so I could reference it using maven coordinates. I unpack that tar.gz package into the OS X distribution directory and place the package under the <your app name>.app/jre. Because of the symlink munging - you have to go and fix that, so remove the existing zero byte libjvm.dylib and relink it using ant exec. Now that you have a good JVM, you need to modify the config.ini to use the right JRE. Unfortunately you can only build this on OS X or Linux - Windows is SOL unless you can find a way to use Cygwin or equivalent. Since I'm doing this outside of Tycho's archiving phase (and theres not apparently way to slip my changes in between), I have to recreate the OS X archive.
Hopefully this helps you solve your problem... I beat my head against the wall trying to fix this for several weeks trying to find a working solution as the error reporting is completely incorrect.
    Anyways, good luck!

Click on it, choose Get Info from the File menu, and check the format.
If it's formatted as NTFS, reformat it as MS-DOS, exFAT, or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as desired.
If it's formatted as FAT32 or exFAT, use the Disk Utility's Repair Disk command on it.
If it's formatted as Mac OS Extended, click Authenticate and provide your administrator password, or change the permissions on that specific folder in its Get Info window.

    Guitar21,
your MacBook Pro has booted into its Recovery mode. From the OS X Utilities menu, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it get to the login screen now?
