Strangest thing, all of a sudden I have an app with window open that I can not move, window goes to center of screen and can not be moved, any help?

Application locking up at Call by Reference

We are seeing our application lock up occasionally at a VI Server Call By Reference node. The VI acts like it is waiting for subVI called to execute, but the subVI acts like it never got the message to execute. We've seen this at a number of VIs that call subVIs by reference. In some cases we are using strickly typed VI references, and in other cases we are not. We've seen the code lock up in both. Has anyone else seen this type of behavior?
We are running LabVIEW 7.0, Windows XP, and TestStand 3.0.
Also, I noticed that in a couple of places, the reference isn't explicitly closed. Since these VIs are only a small part of the application, not called very often, would that cause much of a problem (memory or otherwise)?

It sounds like your reference is pointing to something else than you
think it is pointing to. Generally speaking, not closing
references is not good. Whether it will lead to problems is most
likely a matter of probability. Could it be that the reference is
actually being closed before you issue the correct command?
Fix the code first (make sure that references are closed when they're
no longer used and make sure references aren't closed when they are
still in use).
References are great for uncovering tiny errors in code. Hunt
them down and show no mercy! Or just debug, that'll work too.
Seriously, I recommend you trace where the references are coming from and make sure they're being closed at the right time.
Important is also the difference between (what I understand as)
"static" references (right-clicking a control and selecting -create
reference) and those created dynamically (such as in lauching a VI via
VI server). All Dynamic references should be closed when finished.
If you could post a picture of the block diagram (Jpg is good, BMP is bad) maybe someone can offer some more precise help.

Tabbed windows float in space, can they lock in place?

This seems new to me. In CS5, you could have mulitple images open in tabs, and there would be no additioanal padding around the canvas area; the image would lock in place to the upper left.
Now in tabs in CS6, the canvas floats in space. Any way to have tabs and get rid of the space/padding?

What operating system?
Usually in the standard screen mode using tabs, the image needs to be zoomed slightly bigger than the image window to be able to over scroll on windows systems.
I haven't really noticed a difference in behaviour between cs5 and cs6 in this regard on windows.

Images seem to lock in place while I did not fix the image on layout

When finished updating our website www.spatia.nl, several objects seem to be locked in place on layout, while the checkbox for fixing the object is not checked.
Even pages which haven't been update seem to have this similar problem with floating and locked objects.

Could someone tell me how we can solve this problem? I've tried reuploading the webpage, (the whole website and changes) but this didn't seem to fix the problem.

Could you please do a File>Preview page/site in Browser and check if it behaves the same there or is it working fine?
Also try File>Export as HTML and check if it works fine with exported files or not.
In case it is not working fine in preview as well and the "Pin" option is not checked for the content, please send your file to [email protected]
If your file is greater than 20mb you can use something like Adobe SendNow or SendThisFile.
Please do not forget to mention link to this forum in your e-mail so that we can identify the file.

Most probably you need to clear the server cache or compile the JSP pages (depends on your application release) -- Please see (11.5.0/12: Oracle iStore Checkout Error: "500 Internal Server Error OracleJSP" [ID 577510.1]) for details.

Can't remove an application folder in Places

I have an application folder in places but I can't figure out what application it is. It just says "navigator.app". When I click on it (to try to click and drag it), I get a message that says "navigator.app" has no volume.
How do I get rid of it if I can't click and drag it?

Audio/Instrument objects "locked" in place??

Hello on this rainy Sunday, at least for me in Canada! Perfect day to stay in and work on music.
While building a new template for myself in Logic, all of a sudden I was unable to move my audio and instrument faders in the audio view of the enviroment. It was as if they were suddenly "locked" in place. Have I hit a key command that does this by accident?
Any ideas as to why this is happening, and how to reverse it?

Turn off protect environment objects, it's in one of the environment local menus. When this is on, no environment objects can be moved or deleted.

If it is "waiting" you have severl option that may work:
- sign out and in of your iTunes account on the iPad
- power off and power back on
- reset
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- download t on your computer and sync.
BTW, this question gets asked at least once a day and the search function on the right can be useful.

We need application lock features on our phones!!!

Why don't Verizon have application lock features on there new phones. No not restriction, no not phone lock, no not keypad lock. We need application lock which allows you to lock certain features and protecting your messages and pictures and contacts etc..... we need to smash this forum down with complaints.

The update will take appropriate table (TM) and row-level (TX) locks, but the select will not take any locks (unless it's a select for update), so, there should be no problem.
Oracle will use read consistency to guarantee that the selected results are self-consistent and consistent with the point in time of the start of the query.

Application locks up after copying cd

After copying a cd to my hard drive and switching to another CD, the application locks up consistently. I cannot figure out why. Anyone have this issue? I am using XP Pro along with PC-cillin security.

I've been able to copy multiple CDs in the past. Just recently itunes locks up after copying one CD to the itunes library. Do you have a solution?

Just curious...right after installing all the packaged applications, I noticed that some of them are Locked and others are Unlocked (i.e. we can inspect how the apps are built using the Builder). Does the choice of which ones are locked vs unlocked signify anything or is it just a random choice made by the Oracle person(s) who built the application?

Both sample and productivity applications are fully functional applications that have been designed to address a specific business need. Can volume slider be locked in place?

I do an Internet radio show and play songs directly from iTunes. We strive to have all DJs play their music at the same volume. The volume slider in the iTunes window does not have a number scale on it, and moves when I accidentally move the cursor in that area. Without a number scale to revert to, is there any way to lock the slider in place to retain my optimum volume setting?

like i say you need to change the MTU on the router to 1400.
Got the setup page 192.168.0.1 and then on the left you will see "Advanced" under that you will see "wan setup" click on it, now you should see "MTU size(in bytes) the number there should be 1500 change this to 1400 and then click apply now you should be ok.

Smart Lock Trusted places don't work

Has anyone used Smart Lock with Trusted places instead of Trusted devices? I have tested this feature with Bluetooth devices with seems to work correctly. However, when I set this up for my Home as a trusted place it did not work. It would also be nice if the "trusted device" could be a wireless connection. I find this more reliable and accurate than a map/location based test.
I also agree with another poster. You still have to swipe to unlock which is not a major inconvenience but does not match up to how the function is described.

RichTaylor, this is a great new feature on the Note 4! I want to make sure that it is working the way it was designed. When you have it set your home do you get any kind of errors? If it does come up with any errors, what do they say? Have you been able to use this feature before without any issues? Please keep us posted.
