ApplicationManager Starting Config Caught Throwable
Attached is the server log. I am using WIN2K with all available patches and service
packs. The applicaiton is Manugistics and I am using Oracle 9.2.0.1. I suspect
that I have some incompatibilities in the OCI but don't know how to resolve. I
found the following explanation of the Java error on an Oracle bulletin board:
Using the OCI Driver with JDeveloper In order to create connections to an Oracle
database using the OCI driver, the OCI client version and the JDBC driver version
must match. If the versions are not the same, testing or opening the connection
will fail.Depending on the version of the OCI client, one of the followingerrors
may be reported:Character Set Not Supported !!: DBConversionoracle.jdbc.oci8.OCIEnv.envCharSetIdjava.lang.NoSuchFieldError:

I haven't the slighted idea on how to correct this since the referenced directories
don't exist on my server.

Hello,
Yesterday we had some problems with our Weblogic 6.1 server.
When I checked the logfile , I saw that we received A LOT of error messages regarding
the T3 connection. (We're using a T3 connection to an Oracle database)
I also checked the Oracle database, but I didn't see any problems on that server.
Does somewhone knows what causes the following error message?

Has anyone seen this error recently? We are running Weblogic 6.1 SP3 on Linux

The only thing running on this weblogic is a number of JMS topics.
If anyone can shed any light on this, it would be appreciated.
Thanks,I suggest posting this to the jms group, and/or opening an official support case.
At this point, there's no jdbc content for us to address here...

Try to
cd /usr/sap/NW2/DVEBMGS01/j2ee/configtool/
./configtool.sh
the configtool searches for its classes in the current directory, if you´re not in the "configtool" subdirectoy it won´t find them.

The point is that I don't want to install Nvidia drivers. It should be a mobile system, that's why I need Nouveau.
I want it to work with ATI's, Intel's and Nvidia's graphic cards,
The funny thing is that I've already done it before - I've successfully installed Arch on USB with Nouveau drivers, so I know that it is possible. -
Backing up start config on NVRAM
Is it possible to copy the startup-config file to nvram under a different name to have as a backup?
I will be updating a config on a router, and if I lose connectivity to it, I want to be able to tell a non-tech in a few simple lines to restore the start-up config. (ie copy backup-config startup-config)
Is this possible?
Thanks,
JoeSo If I do a copy startup-config backup-config, then put in a new startup-config, reload and my router stays down, I can have someone at site issue a copy backup-config startup-config and this will restore the original config with no issues?

Java server does not start; config tool
Hi All,
I am fairly new to SAP BASIS setup. I have installed IDES ECC 6.0 on Oracle(Win2003 as a guest on VMWare).
At the time of installation the install program installed a part of the Oracle database files on an external harddisk.
The ABAP server starts normally and I am able to connect to it without any issues. However, the disp+work.EXE always stays on yellow with a message : J2EE status info unavailable.
When I tried to connect to the database through configtool to check the setup of the parameter I am unable to connect to the database I get the following error:
Error occurred while working with Configuration(Scanning). Msg:Error while connecting to DB.
and the system.log shows
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00376: file 102 cannot be read at this time and then ORA-01110: data file 102: "<location>".
Although the file is present at the location mentioned. This is the location of the external hard drive which is available with the correct drive letter. Is there anyway this can be resolved?
I would definitely like to get the Java server up and running.
All help is highly appreciated guys! Thanks.
Regards,
ManishHey Sunny, you are star!!
This note helped me resolve this issue!!
Now my Java server is also up and running I have greens!!

Re: ORA-01034: Oracle not available after service restart

One thing to check. If the Oracle service starts, but you get the "Connected to idle instance" is in the Registry on windows boxes.
Start->Run-> type in REGEDIT and hit return.
In the Registry editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEsoftwareOracle
Under this key, you should have a key like: Ora_db10g_Home1, or whatever you called your ORACLE_HOME. Under there, you should see: ORA_<SID>_AUTOSTART. Make sure that is set to TRUE. This starts the actual instance when the service starts. Otherwise, if set to FALSE, the service will start, but the database is "idle"."
Thank you.
Appreciate all your help man...
Manish

Where to start config for having memo record per profit center level?
Hi guyz,
I need to prepare memo record for profit center level.
We are not activating Cash Management module and only FI-AA, FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, Bank Accounting, CO-OM, CO-CCA, CO-PCA for the project.
I am mostly a CO consultant, thus I need your help step by step..
Where to start and how to do configuration for the memo record?
Need your help asap...thanking you...Hi Maleeq,
to bring in some clarification. If you consume material from stock, where the MM account determination for the P/L side is a cost element, the system requires you to enter a CO object. In this case the profit center is (always!!!!) derived by the CO object, e.g.:
- cost center
- PP order
- internal order
- sales order (in MTO scenario)
- WBS element
etc.
If you have PP with a FG as material to be produced, the PP order gets the PC from the FG and all (always!!!!!) postings on this PP order will get the PC from the PP order. This is valid of course only for the P/L side. The stock change/reduction will be credited on the profit center of the RAW.
And yes, in the material, there is by plant a profit center (marc-prctr), but relevant for PC derivation on the P/L side is the CO account assignment (if cost element).
If you have a material consumption, where no cost element is created (ususally for the consumption during SD delivery), in this case, the PC is derived from the material master (plant wise).

WLS 6.1 SP2 and Apache 1.3.26 Windows NT/2000
Hi,
Is there an Apache plugin available for WLS 6.1 (SP2) and Apache 1.3.26 running
on Windows NT/2000?
thanksI've solved my own problem. I learned that there was a sp4 (let alone a
sp3) for WLS. Installed that and the problem went away. Sorry for the
noise.

I'm using version 1.1b3 of struts. I'm having no problems with
version 1.0.2 of struts.
I'm guessing its complaining about the manifest file in struts.jar,
but I don't understand why.
Here's my version info and the stack trace (my web app is called
findme in this example). Thanks in advance.

WLS 6.1 SP2 and JDK 1.4.0
In configuring our WLS 6.1 SP2 to run on the released JDK 1.4 and starting the
server, most things seemed to start fine except for our ObjectIDFactorySession
EJB. It cacked when it tried to create a bean in the free pool. Stack trace
below. I know this is not supported, but can anyone shed some light?
