Applications are logging me out when Javascript files are called

Hey Guys,
I am using APEX 3.1.2 and am using LDAP as my Authentication scheme for my application. SSL is also activated on the environment my applications run on.
I can log in using the login page (page 101) and I can use my application perfectly. However I have a button called 'Main Menu' which whenever I press it logs me out and takes me back to the login page. The button runs a Javascript file which is supposed to redirect me to page 1 by passing the page number into the URL.
However, in the other applications I manage, the same logout occurs. From what I can gather, this seems to happen whenever a javascript file is called from the app.
I do not know what my next step should be
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks
-Mark

Oleg,
The js file doesn't include anything that would erase the session id. All it does is it brings up a popup window asking you whether you want to go to the menu and when you click yes it just takes you back to the 1st page. The hyperlink is getting changed however so I tried passing the session id through the hyperlink so that my session wasnt erased but this didnt work and my session still disappeared.
I was thinking of just getting rid of the js and putting a redirect straight into APEX which would do nothing to the session. Is there anything else you can suggest to stop the session getting erased with the js? as if possible i would like to keep it
However like I said before this is not the only JS file that gets rid of my session and getting rid of all my js files would not be good for my applications as they are needed quite a bit.
Thanks
-Mark

  • My ipad logs me out when I use email for work

My iPad logs me out when I email for work. I have to log back on. This happened all night as it was very frustrating. Has this happened to anyone? What can I do to fix this problem?

Here it is 2012 and I too have this problem with games, Safari and email. It just loggs me off after about 10 to 20 min. This all started with the last OS update. Why has no one responded??

  • [SOLVED] X logs me out when I try to log in to scrotwm/spectrwm

    Hi there,
Just updated, rebooted, and tried to log in. Usually I boot into a console, and type my name and password into the console and that logs me into my window manager (scrotwm, which has recently been renamed to spectrwm). spectrwm is started from the .xinitrc file.
Usually spectrwm just starts, but today I get a brief error message come up on the console when I try to log in, and then am logged back out again. The error message is too quick to see. When I log in as root (with no window manager), I can start twm from the console by typing `startx'.
    Here are some files:
    ~/.xinitrc
    exec spectrwm &
    ~/.xsession-errors
    /etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
localuser:username being added to access control list
    /etc/gdm/Xsession: Setup done, will execute: /usr/bin/ssh-agent -- /usr/bin/scrotwm

I have no idea where to start with this. twm works when I log in as root, so maybe it's a problem with spectrwm? but how can I find out?
If anyone has any suggestions about other logs/files I should check out, please let me know. I mentioned that an error message comes up on the console very quickly when I try to log in - I can't read it, is that error message written to a file somewhere? (It doesn't look similar to ~/.xsession-errors or /var/log/Xorg.0.log)
    Thanks

OK, update, I filmed the error message with my phone (so that I could replay it in slow motion). It's just a few lines out of /var/log/Xorg.0.log, but these same lines are written when I (successfully) start twm when I am logged in as root.
So, I don't really have any other information to go on to track this down. Unbelievably, I deleted everything in my ~/.xinitrc file, and I still have the same problem

  • How to find out when a file has been written to ?

    Hello All,
In an application I want to open up a file (while letting another process write to it). As stuff is getting written to the file I want to be able to process that data (getting close to real-time as possible). How would one go about finding out when new data has been written to the file ? Does Java provide some alerting mechanism for file changes ? Thanks in advance...
    -Pete

Maybe you could keep tabs of the file size. If the file size grows (which it will do each time the writing process flushes that files output buffer), then the file was written to.
What I'd like to know is if there is some way to monitor the entire drive for changes and respond to stuff like that. I know that the Win32 API provides services that monitor the file system for changes, but I don't know if other OS's do... or if Java provides an interface to those features.

  • Bluetooth mouse cuts out when transferring files over the network

Just as the title says: whenever I copy files to a PC over the network (via SMB I think its called) My bluetooth mighty mouse will start getting very jerky and makes is very difficult to move the cursor on the screen. However, my Bluetooth keyboard is comply fine. Both are using Lithium batteries and where just replaced about a month ago. Also, both are in close range...about 2 feet. And it only happens when coping files.
    Any ideas?
    -Scott

I don't connect to network volumes that often, but I did again today and noticed that my bluetooth keyboard completely cut out (had the "discounted" HUD come up) and then the keyboard would not reconnect until the file copy was complete. I don't know about the mouse as lately I've been using my Microsoft mouse that hasn't been giving me any troubles. (like really, Microsoft and "no troubles" in the same sentence??? lol)

  • Why does iTunes U site manager log me out when returning to collection manager?

So here's the problem ... kind of a weird thing has been happening lately with Site Manager.  When I click on the feed of a collection to interact with the actual content (change the order, correct a typo etc.) and then click to return to collections manager, the site logs me out.  When I log back in, it won't let me go back into the collection and gives an error message saying that the collection is unavailable because someone is already logged in to it.  When I wait an hour or so, I can access the collection feed again but once I return to collections manager, I get logged out.  I have tried this on different versions of Safari and in Lion with the same results.  It is just in the last couple of weeks that this has been happening.  Any ideas?

    You are welcome, WonderProfessor.
Updating iTunes may not be the reason at all. It could very well be the Support Team has fixed the problem, which i think is the case.
Also, I learned i should report EACH problem to iTunes U Support Team using its Report Form:
    https://ssl.apple.com/support/itunes-u/public-site-manager/contact.html
I used the Report Form a couple of months ago to report a different problem. One tech support person responsded and I have been emailing to that individual via email about a few more issues since then. This, however, is NOT a good practice. Reporting each problem using the report form will help the iTunes Support Team to prioritize the work based on urgency.
Anyway, I am releaved it is working now. Thank you. And thanks to the iTunes U Support Team and iTunes U Editors.

  • Fnd out when a file is added to a directory

Does anyone know if theres a way to send a signal / cause an event when a file (which could be of any type and any filename), is added to a directory.
Eg When a file is added to the directory 'mynewfiles' I want to send a signal to another process that will copy a version of this to another directory.
Is this possible in Java? Without using polling?

I'm pretty sure there's no alternative to polling, though you can at least poll the "last modified" timestamp before checking the contents.
A signal facility would have to be plugged right into the operating system.

  • Skype bugs out when someone leaves the call in gro...

    Hi all,
Lately everybody in our groupchat has been having issues when someone leaves the call.
When they leave, it looks like the whole call has been disbanded, but the people that didn't leave can't see the call.
Which concludes to: Nobody can leave the call, we have to exit skype completely and relog.
Does anyone else have this issue and does someone know how to fix this?
    Thanks
    - Marvin
EDIT: When this happends, we can go into another call while being in the groupschat call.

It is a bug and there is no fix as of yet, other than loading another OS (downgrading.)

  • OWA logs user out when they try to set an Out Of Office Message

After upgrading to Exchange 2013 users can no longer set their Out Of Office (via OWA option 'Set Automatic Replies'). When a user tries to do so via OWA they are immediately logged out and get the error message "The user name or password you entered
isn't correct. Try entering it again."
We are currently on CU3, not sure if the problem was introduced in Exchange 2013 initially or once CU3 was applied.
Users see the same behavior when they try to check a Message Delivery Report via OWA.

  • Why does OSX 10.9 Mavericks try to log me out when it goes to sleep?

After I wake my Mac from sleep it displays a message saying that it couldn't log out because one or more of my Adobe apps or Quickbooks app that were open couldn't close properly. I don't want them to close, nor do I want the machine to log out every time it goes to sleep. Any ideas for a solution?
    Thanks!

Ok. Finally found it. In System Preferences > Security & Privacy : General - Click on the Advanced button in the bottom right and you will get these options. Uncheck the "Log out after __ minutes of inactivity" and I think that solved my issue. Thanks again VikingOSX
