Applications folders has disappeared

It was after a divX update I installed.
Anyone know how to get it back?
Edit it is still there as I looked for it in Spotlight, but it's not showing up in Places no more.

Check Finder Preferences, Sidebar.
Or, just drag it back to Places from your hard drive directory.

  • I siced my Ipad and the application pages has disappeared

I sinced my Ipad to my power book and my application pages has disappeared can you help?

Sync it back from iTunes on the Mac.
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Apps Tab on the right.
Click on Pages in the list of apps
Click on the Sync Apps Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
You may have just moved it to another screen on the iPad and you can look for it by swiping from screen to screen. You can also search for it in Spotlight. Double tap the home button. Wait a second and tap it again. Wait a second and then tap it again. Type Pages in the search field at the top of the screen and see if it shows up.

  • Will the 10.8.3 combo restore my Mail application which has disappeared completely from my IMac

Will the 10.8.3 combo restore my Mail application which has disappeared completely from my IMac?
Is there any way that my Mail application can be restored?

If you are using OS X Mountain Lion, the 10.8.3 Combo is the first step you have to take in order to recover Mail in the computer. Theoretically, it should work, but it's possible that it doesn't. If, after installing the Combo, you haven't recovered Mail, reinstall OS X, holding Command and R keys while your computer is starting and following the steps to reinstall Mountain Lion. You won't lose anything doing it

  • Under applications, "mailto" has disappeared and I am unable to send links.

I recently had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall (among other things) Firefox. Fine. Then I was asked if I wanted to upgrade, which I did. A day or two later, I wanted to e-mail a link to several friends and when I clicked on "send llink" under File, nothing happened. I checked the application option under Tools and discovered that the "mailto" app had disappeared. I have reinstalled Firefox a couple of times with no change. All I really want to know is how I can get the "mailto" app option back.
I am running Windows Vista, Firefox 3.6.8, Thunderbird 3.1.2 and a large number of add-ons.

  • My Application Builder has disappeared

I've just received a new PC at work, and have migrated my applications and data over.  After installing LabVIEW and the Application Builder, the app builder does not show up under the Tools menu as it used to.  Thinking I had done something wrong during installation, I removed the installation (using the app builder CD), then re-installed it.  It still doesn't show.  Do app builder and XP not get along?  Is there something else going on?  Thanks in advance for your help.

See if the App Builder library is in the correct location.
    Browse to "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\project"
directory and look for a file named "prodisttool.llb". If it's there,
double click it and see if opens in LabVIEW. Something in the library
could be currupted causing not to show up in the menu. If it does open,
not sure why it wouldn't be showing up.
Another thing to consider, are you sure you have the correct version of
the builder? Each version of LabVIEW has it's own version of the
installer. So you can't install builder 7.0 into LabVIEW 7.1.

  • Application Manager has disappeared

  • Search "finds" emails but when I click on them to actually read them, it shows nothing. Also, the folder where these emails are located has disappeared.

A folder that has several sub-folders (as do all my folders), has disappeared from my list of folders. Filters that would normally send new incoming emails to this folder now say, "choose folder" (they're not disabled), and of course I can't choose it anymore. When I do a search for emails that I know were in the folder, it finds them (or at least some of them, for sure; haven't checked on the hundreds) and lets me see the tops of contents, like in any normal search. So I know the emails do exist. But when I click on one to actually read it, Tbird goes through the motions of bringing the whole email up, but there's actually nothing there. The column heading are there for Data, From, Subject, Location, etc., but the there's nothing under the headings. So, I don't know what happened to the folder, and its (former) contents are out there in my computer's nether world.
Also, don't know if this is relevant; a day ago I did a backup and restore of my profile using MozBackup because I had to have a faulty hard disc replaced on my laptop. My Profile for Thunderbird was approx. 1.6 GBytes. I get 80 or so e-mails a day. The restore went fine as far as I can tell; In fact, I think I even recall noticing that the now-missing folder was there at first, but this is the first time I've tried to use it.
    [email protected]

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Thunderbird has an indexing process that runs in the background - and if you were on some odd configuration, let's say you're connecting to a mail system that also used an archiving system (for instance Outlook with Symantec Enterprise Mail Vault).
It's possible for Thunderbird to index the email (hence you can search for it) but by the time you run the search (a week, a month, or what ever later) the Symantec Enterprise Mail vault has already archived the email.
Basically you it can search, and build an index, but anything could happen to the email between being indexed and you searching for it.
    Hope that helps?

  • HT2474 My applicatons dock has disappeared.  Have no idea why.  Any ideas?

My applications dock has disappeared and I have no idea how to retrieve.  Any ideas?

Are you referring to the Dock that normally appears at the bottom of the screen with the icons of the running applications in it?
If so have you looked at System Preferences->Dock to make sure you haven;t changed any of the settings you are use to?
Do you usually have the Dock visible all the time  or is it hidden? Try sliding the pointer to the bottom and to the left and right edge of the screen to see if it appears.

I was moving bookmarks in safari and 2 complete folders have emptied their contents. The folders are still there. I don't have a working time machine and icloud has caused the relevant folders to disappear from all my machines, iPhone, iPad and iMac as well as thge MacBook Air I was working on. HELP!!!

    Hi,
There is NO need to put your whole questing in the "Questing Heather" therefore you can TYPE here. In the Text window as I did to.
    Now to your questing:
So, you moved some Bookmarks and now 2 folders are completely empty.
I think that they dropped in a other folder during dragging the Bookmarks.
Did you check ALL of you Bookmark folder if they are there?
If you didn't delete the they have to be still there.

You should consider downloading the 10.6.8 combo updater and applying it again.
