Apply user exit from dynpro to web dynrpro

If I have a user exit developed by my company and they’re running in Dynpro environment (coded in ABAP). What would I need doing to apply this user exit to web Dynpro?
The SAP instructor said that only need: - click in a button to compile to WEB.
I’m not sure! The java script needed, or the request response needed will be created automatically.
Anyone can explain me?
- What must be done to run a program in Dynpro (as a windows forms application) and web Dynpro (web application)?
- What are codes done twice? The view (user interface) code, I need doing in ABAP (Dynpro environment) and other time in Java (Web Dynpro to run by portal)?
- And about the controllers and models code?
- Can I use any model code developed in Java by ABAP, like a POJO or OJB or EJB?
I accept related source links or unrelated…
I’m learning SAP, this is a user questions.
Thanks a lot.

My company is in the SAP adopting process.
We’re analyzing the necessities of ours GAPs, nowadays we have a lot of systems (more than 500) and the BAAN ERP.
We want use all SAP by Portal, it’s a technical requirement. Then I’d like knowing the possibilities of developments that we can choose. To each possibility, I think that it’d have different patterns and source codes. About it I’d like to know more…
What’re the limitations of the ABAP Web Dynpro?
The new developments of the SAP are using Java Web Dynpro or ABAP Web Dynpro? ABAP can be in obsolete status in any time?
How about de productivity, comparing ABAP and Java Web Dynpro?
Thanks.

  • Accessing the Logon User Exit from the Internet using an ITS Service

I can access the Logon User Exit (EXIT_SAPLSUSF_001) from R/3, but not from the Web using an ITS service. What am I missing in order to access the Logon User Exit from the Web. The ITS service was created from an ABAP screen program.
    Thanks

The SAPGui logon exit is called after successfull authentication has been completed and after a SAPGui session has been attached.
If you logon via RFC, WebGui, ICM or the Wgate then this exit does not trigger.
What are you wanting to add to your code after the logon ?
An solution I have used is to create a wrapper RFC for a BAPI and create a webservice for the wrapper. Before calling the BAPI you can do whatever you want to from a security perspective.
But for that you need to have an appropriate BAPI...
Please explain what you want to do and what you would have wanted in the exit. Often there is a better way.
    Cheers,

  • Is it possible to get user exit from st05???

    Hi all,
One has said me that you can find user exit of a transaction from sql trace, st05.
I do not believe that, however I wanted to ask you..
    Thanks.

    Hi,
we can find the badi but not the user exit . u have 2methods for searching userexits
one frm the tcode-> find programname->package name->gotosmod->give package name and f4 functioanlity->cmod-> give the name u can get it.
other-> directly from smod and cmod.

  • Calling a std user exit from a user defined user exit

    hi
I have a standard User Exit. I want to call it from a User Exit created by me something like zaaabbbb.
Can you please tell me the procedure how to do it ?

    Hi,
If the user exit is a Z include in a function module then you can call the function module like any other function module passing the required parameters. For example CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '002' in transaction VA01 corresponds to function module EXIT_SAPMV45A_002. You can call this function module like you do any other function module.
    CALL FUNCTION 'EXIT_SAPMV45A_002'
      EXPORTING
        i_tvak        =
        i_tvta        =
        i_vkgrp       =
        i_vkbur       =
    * IMPORTING
    *   E_KUNNR       =
If the user exit is a subroutine in an include in SAP name space (For example subroutine userexit_delete_document in include mv45afzz), then find out the main program in which the include is included (for example mv45afzz is included in program sapmv45a). Once you have done that you can using the following statement to call the subroutine.
    PERFORM <subroutine name> IN PROGRAM <program name>.
    For Examaple
    PERFORM userexit_delete_document IN PROGRAM sapmv45a.
Please make sure that you use the main program name (In our example sapmv45a) and not the include name (in our example mv45afzz).

  • Get hierarchy name in user-exit from variable

    Hi everybody
I have a WebTemplate with different queris. The user can select the costcenter in the beginning. In a further query of the template I show all the orders regarding that costcenter. But with this concept I block all the orders with one user executing the template.
So now I want to select the orders that belong to the selected costcenter in a user exit (with a variable). This works fine when the user selects a costcenter.
But it is also possible that the user selects a higher node of the costcenter hierarchy. How can I get all the orders that are connected to a costcenter node?
So far I thought that I have to get all costcenter nodes that have the selected node as a parent (etc..) in the hierarchy table. But how do I find out which hierarchy is used by the query? I get the Variable name loc_var_range-vnam. And I know which table the hierarchy is in. But how do I find the correct HIEID?
or does anybody have a better suggestion to solve my problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Christophe

    Hi Christophe,
I've written a code for finding the name of hierarchy using the node.
It's little bit big code, if send ur email id i can pass it to you.
    hope that helps you.

  • Store data when user exits from web application

is there anyway to call a method when user closes browser and session finish
    thank you

I usually just use a HttpSessionListener.
    What's the difference?Lots ......
    This is from javadoc
    public interface HttpSessionListener
Implementations of this interface are notified of changes to the list of active sessions in a web application.
The implementation class would be invoked and in its methods, could process any action on session creation/termination
    public interface HttpSessionBindingListener
Causes an object to be notified when it is bound to or unbound from a session. The object is notified by an HttpSessionBindingEvent object. This may be as a result of a servlet programmer explicitly unbinding an attribute from a session, due to a session being invalidated, or due to a session timing out.
The implementation class would usually be a bean. The bean thus has control to take any action it deems fit when its bound to a session or when its unbound from the session.
Depending on the requirements, you could implement either of the two interfaces.
    Thanks,
    Ram.

  • OWSM how can i get user credentials from gateway in web service server

I need username in web service server. Gateway has option like "Insert WSBASIC Credentials" and service definition in gateway has "forwardcredentials" option. how can i use these options? has some any idea or sample code.

    Hi Surya,
You asked whether there are any other solutions other than JavaBean.
    There are ..
It is a round about way. But should work good on WEB. This is particular to MS things.
As you know you can use vb scripting to invoke all of this Ms things on WEB. So the trick is have a dynamic page called with your actual doc name as a parameter. Script and do whatever you want in this Dynamic method. And from within Forms call this Dynamic page using WEB.show_document( remember within Forms I can call any WEB viewable doc ). It should do the job.
But ( And that is a big but...)..
You need to take care of lot many things here.
You must have a app server which would support scripting like VB. And you must have MS OFFICE in the server . I understand this works best with 2000.
So finally it boils down to what I need and what I have. And Yes It requires a good effort.
    Great going??? :))
    Good Luck
    Vijay

  • Applying user exit PPCO0007  Exit when saving production order

    Hi,
I need the Production Order no. generated when above exit is called. Please suggest.

    Hi,
    Try with the Method: IN_UPDATE
    This is the documentation:
    IO IF_EX_WORKORDER_UPDATE        IN_UPDATE
    Short Text
    Save Order Time: Update
    Functionality
This method is executed during the update after the order is saved.
    Parameters
All tables relevant to orders of all the orders processed within this
transaction (also cross order type) are transferred. A table containing all
changed records is transferred for each order object and a table *_old that
contains the original state of the changed records when the transaction was
    started.
To differentiate between different order categories, evaluate the "AUTYP"
    field in the order headers.
To determine which actions were carried out on the individual objects of an
order, you can evaluate the update indicator in the individual tables. In the
different tables, the update indicator is called "VBKZ" (exceptions:
    IT_PMPARTNER-UPDKZ, IT_PRT_ALLOCATION-MODKZ, IT_MILESTONE-VBKZ_MLST or
IT_MILESTONE-VBKZ_MLTX) and can contain the following entries:
    "I": Insert
The data record is written to the database again. No *_old
    entry exists
    "U": Update
The data record already exists in the database and has been
changed in the transaction. An *_old entry exists.
    "D": Delete
The data record already exists in the database and is to be
    deleted. An *_old entry exists
The data record exists in the database. No changes have been made in
the transaction. An *_old entry exists.
    Notes
Note that the method is carried out in the update process. In particular, no
dialog is possible, no messages may be sent and no database commit may be
executed because otherwise an orderly rollback is no longer possible.
    Kind Regards,
    Mariano

  • User exit variable I_STEP=1 does not show default value WebI selection scr

    Hello,
We have a BW query with a user exit variable. We have written user exit code under I_STEP = 1 so that the default value for the field is displayed on the selection screen to the user. Works very well on the BW side.
We based a universe on top of the query and then created a WebI report.
When the WebI report is executed the default value is NOT seen on the selection screen,
    Note:
    1. If the user exit variable is optional and we execute the report, the default value is NOT seen on the selection screen. However if the report is executed without entering any value for the field the logic under I_STEP = 1 is picked up and the report gets the correct output
    1. If the user exit variable is mandatoryand we execute the report, the default value is NOT seen on the selection screen. The user now has to enter the value for the field.
The scheduled reports will work in case of optional user exit variable.
However this amounts to loss of functionality.
    Is this a known bug?
Is there a way to display default values based on user exit variables on the WebI selection screen?
Kindly advice. Btw we are on XI 3.1 SP3

  • CRM - Pricing User Exit in Java - BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI

    Hi All
I have to convert some user-exit from Abap to Java in order to work in CRM Pricing Scenario (I use VMC technology based on Web AS 7.00).
In the manual attached to note 809820 (New userexit concept for pricing)
I find this chapter but I don't understand how to work with BADI <b>CRM_COND_COM_BADI.</b>
<b>My objective is to create Java user-exit using Custom Tables and Fileds.</b>
    <b>Passing additional information to pricing</b>
To summarize, if the information used in a requirement is not depending on the current calculation result, then the information can be passed to the pricing engine. This is the best way to avoid e.g. DB or JCo calls from the user exits.
Nearly all application scenarios using the pricing engine provide a way of filling additional attributes.
    1. Create a field catalogue entry for the additional attribute
    2. Program the filling of that attribute value
The application calling the pricing engine and the way it is allowing customer code to fill or influence attributes is not part of this document. Here is only a short list of documentation to start with (also various notes exist):
    Application Description
    CRM Online Order Processing
    Implement BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI. Note 850077
Mobile Solutions Implement VBA user exit methods on SPCDOCHANDLER or SPCITEMHANDLER.Note 677314 and Note 934216
    Best regards
    Davide Ivanov
    [email protected]

    Hi davide,
The BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI is used for filling the pricing communication structure.
If you have added any field at header level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method HEADER_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
If you have added any field at item level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method ITEM_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
Additional fields added at catelog can be filled with the values using this BADI.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raghuram. K.R.
