Applying application security using weblogic
Hi, I want to know a procedure of deploying a fusion application on weblogic server using ear file
I also want to know how to apply security on the application from database like I have users and groups each user belongs to a certain group I want is to verfy the user from database and give this user access of application contents based on user group.
I have done this on LDAP but I did not need LDAP security I want to apply security on weblogic server using back end database.

Cannot start application deployed using Weblogic console after stop
Hello all,
I have deployed an ear file using Weblogic console. If the app. is running, I can press stop and get the 404 error...after that I press start, and get a 503 error. Right after the app is deployed, and started, it always comes up fine. But when the application is running, I must click stop, start, stop, start to get the app to start.
To start the app. I select, start and then "servicing all requests". To stop the app, I select stop and then "Force stop now". I have implemented a subclass of ServletContextListener to handle the start and stop. These methods do get called.
The 503 did not cause any errors to be found in the weblogic.log, stdout.log or access.log.
Does anyone have an idea how to start the app after it is stopped the first time?

As you see this error.

there is some miss match in library reference.
Please check with your weblogic-application.xml file.

Error in Role Based security using weblogic 9

Currently I am working with Weblogic Server 9. I am trying to use role based security. Below is the entries for web.xml.

When I am calling form.jsp from the browser it is asking for the username and password, but after giving the username and password it is showing the followig error:
Error 403--Forbidden
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.4 403 Forbidden
The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated. If the request method was not HEAD and the server wishes to make public why the request has not been fulfilled, it SHOULD describe the reason for the refusal in the entity. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
So can any one provide me the solution for the above problem.

How can I debug a web application running on Weblogic 10.3
Hello,
I have inherited a NetUI Web Application developed using Weblogic Workshop and I can't manage to debug it. I have configure my server in Workshop and to debug it I right-click the project in Project Exporer and select Debug As -> Debug On Server, but this isn't working. The browser does open the application doesn't appear to be getting delpoyed.
Can anyone help me out? I am using Weblogic 10.3 and Java 1.6.

The application is an enterprise application packaged as an EAR. if I right click on the project and click Debug As -> Debug on Server, the application appears in the Server Tab, but it does not start automatically. If I then manually start the server the application runs, but it does not stop at break points and I can not debug it.
If I right-click on the web project that is packaged as part of the ear and select Debug As -> Debug On Server again the application is deployed, but I can't debug it. I don't get error messages, the application functions as normal but it does not stop at break points. When I attempt to debug the application via the Web Project, two browsers open automatically, both correctly displaying the application.

Platform : SSAS Tabular model (VS 2010)
I need to apply Dynamic security using Security table(manually created) in Tabular model, Need to apply filter for 2 tables. I am able to
create roles in Tabular model using USERNAME() and LOOKUP() function it worked fine. But the problem is when i am trying to give full access for a particular column and limit the access in other column, it is not working properly.
Please find below table and guide me where i am falling short. In the Security table wherever you find ALL it means full access.

I am trying to create a simple application which uses declarative authorization configured in web.xml. I use the simple form based authentication. While trying to deploy my application, I get the error:
weblogic.management.DeploymentException: [HTTP:101168]The security-role-assignment references an invalid security-role: LTVORole.
But I have defined the role LTVORole in weblogic using the administrator console.

How to migrate JPS application security policy to weblogic 10.3.1
Hi,
How do I migrate my application security policy (defined in the jazn-data.xml in my application ear file) to the system-jazn-data.xml in weblogic 10.3.1? The [previous solution provided here|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/muench/credmig111100/index.html] by Steve Muench seems to work only for weblogic 10.3.

How to protect applications running in Weblogic using OAM

I have a doubt,
I have 2 application running in weblogic.
I need to protect those application using OAM and provide single sign on.
How this can be done?
In the OAM integration guide i saw OAM with BEA Weblogic SSPI
Is SSPI like a connector r what is the use of this?
Is there any other way to protect a application running in weblogic using OAM and provide SSO for those applications

How to install MSFT application security updates in cab file format using DISM
Hi,
I tried to install security updates for MS Office which are cab files like any other windows security updates cab file. It is giving an error called "file not found". But other windows security updates cab files are installing fine without any error.
I tried to install these updates manually using DISM on commandline. It is not installing. I even tried using pkgmgr.exe, but that is not working either. I looked at DISM logs which is saying it failed opening the cab file. I tried different other commandline
options of DISM to install this, but nothing else is suitable for a cab file install.
Does anyone know how to install a cab file for application security updates via DISM.exe or other MSFT commandline tools?

When I use firefox to get on to the web I get the following message everytime: "Alert: Could not initialize the applications security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your applications pforfile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security feactures." Once I click the "OK button" at the bottom of the alert box firefox starts but does not act right. For instance it will not let me look for software updates. When I click on "Check for Updates" from the "Help" drop down menu I get a message stating: "There were problems checking for, downloading, or installing this update. Firefox could not be updated because: Update XML file malformed (200). You can update firefox manually by visiting this link and downloading the latest version."

and "org.apache.struts.action.LOCALE". Is there a way I can user/parse these objects

ServletAuthentication.runAs() associates a Subject with the session.
weblogic.security.services.Authentication.authenticate() creates a Subject.
ServletAuthentication.authenticate() is merely a convenience wrapper around
these two methods. That is, it creates a CallbackHandler from the request,
calls authenticate() and then calls runAs(). So, in answer to your question,
yes, ServletAuthentication.authenticate() does associate the Subject with
the current session.
There is no direct way of getting the Subject associated with a session but
we can give you the current Subject which is almost always the same thing
(if you have a run-as tag the current Subject may be different than the one
associated with the session). To get the current Subject call
weblogic.security.Security.getCurrentSubject().

Do load test for application installed in Weblogic 10.3.4 using OATS 9.31

I need to do a load test for my application deployed in Weblogic 10.3.4. I went on to use the Oracle Application testing Suite (OATS 9.31). But it says its compatible only upto Weblogic 10.3.3. So pls advice me to find a way to load test my oracle fusion application deployed in the current server.
