Applying BP05 on OIM 11g

Following is one of the pre-request for applyign BP05
Confirm the opatch and unzip executables exist and appear in your system PATH, as both are needed to apply this bundle patch. Execute the following commands:
which opatch
which unzip
In my system when I run above command error is “'which' is not recognized as an internal or external command,”
However I can run opatch and unzip command from anywhere.
Any idea if ”which” is A command in windows?
Thanks,
MS

set the following two variables
set ORACLE_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_IDM1
set PATH=%PATH%:$ORACLE_HOME\OPatch
Now you need to run WHERE command in windows not which.
Try running where opatch and let me know the results.

  • OIM 11g R1 - Container for Roles

    Hi,
    is it possible to create container for roles?
    For Example:
    Container1: RoleA, RoleB, RoleC
    Container2: RoleV, RoleY, RoleZ
    The reason is, i want to create authorization policies, which allows the user to assign specials roles. The problem is, that a lot of roles will be added during the operation. This means, if a new role will be created, i have to edit the authorization policy
    The best way is, i assign a Role-Container to the authorization policy. If i create a new role, i add the role to the special container.
    Is this possible in OIM 11g R1?
    Edited by: 960944 on Apr 3, 2013 5:18 AM

    Yes, you can do that using authorization policy.
    Try this:
    Create a Role called 'X'
    Create a Authorization Policy of Role Management Entity Type called 'X Role Authz Policy' and under the Permission tab:
    Grant Modify Role Membership, Search for ROle, View Role Detail and View Role Membership
    Under Data Constraints: Add all the roles that a user can self assign except SYS ADMIN role.
    Under Assignemnt: Add Role 'X'
    Save and apply to test it.
    You can have a look at the default Role Management All Users Policy for reference.

  • OIM 11g R2 PS1 - Bugs fixed info required

    Hi ,
    I have OIM 11g R2 with BP 06 installed on my system and want upgrade to latest version so that majority of bug fixes are incorporated. As both BP07 and PS1 are in market.
    While checking for BP7 fixes we noticed that there are certain fixes that we really require in our application like:
    Bug:16315001 : GTC mapping image on migration to other environment is not displayed.
    Bug:16506870 : De-provisioning of user accounts via the Set User De-provisioned Date scheduled job fails.
    Bug:16347855 : Users are able to submit a request for modify account although nothing is modified on the form fields.
    But while checking for release notes of PS1 (11.1.2.1) i did not notice any such fixes, rather there were some certification exception fixes ,new menu called "Certification" in Sysadmin Console and Introduced new menu called "Inbox" in Identity/Self Service Console
    So my question is that to apply above fixes we need install the BP7 patch separately, considering PS1 is not a cumulative one and then install PS1
    Thanks,
    Puneet

  • OIM 11g R1 - AD 9.1.1.7.2 SSL Issue

    Hi All,
    I am trying to configure the SSL b/w OIM 11g R1 BP05 running on IBM AIX 6.1 and AD Connector 9.1.1.7.2. The recon/provisioning is working fine on port 389.
    For SSL Configuration, I imported the AD root certificate in custom keystore configured in WLS and Standard Java Keystore i.e., cacerts. I have updated the ADIT Resource to change the port and use SSL as yes.
    So, now when I am running recon, I am getting below error:

    I am able to connecto to AD on port 636 using LDAP Browser and also using JNDI Code. Also, I used XIMDD to test the Target System SSL Trust Verification and it worked too. Also, the telnet/ping are working too.
    Any clue on this issue?

    Hi Praveen,
    Here is the solution suggested by Oracle for this particular error:
    This exception is encountered because the Connector Server uses a port that has already been used (mostly by another instance of the Connector Server). You can fix this issue by performing one of the following steps:
    If the Connector Server service is running, then stop it.
    Search for and open the ConnectorServer.exe.Config file, change the port value to 8758 or 8755, and then start the Connector Server. The default location of the ConnectorServer.exe.Config file is C:\Program Files\Identity Connectors\Connector Server.
    Ref: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22999_01/doc.111/e20347/trbleshoot.htm
    If you still face the issue then try changing Port and Time wait registry values(Take registry backup before making any changes to registry):
    Changing the Dynamic Port Range
    Open regedit.
    Open key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
    Edit (or create as DWORD) the MaxUserPort value.
    Set it to a higher number. (i.e. 65534)
    Changing the TIME_WAIT delay
    Open regedit.
    Open key HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
    Edit (or create as DWORD) the TCPTimeWaitDelay.
    Set it to a lower number. Value is in seconds. (i.e. 60 for 1 minute delay)
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Error while patching 14196234 -OIM 11g R2

    Hi,
    I am currently in the process of applying mandatory patches for OIM 11g R2, when I run run opatch lsinventory it succeeds, but when I run opatch apply following error is thrown:
    Error during Update inventory for apply phase]. Detail:OPatch failed: Applysession failed in system modification phase...'ApplySession::apply failed: Current access level does not allow writing to the inventory'
    I am on the latest OPatch version 11.2.
    Thanks in advance

    I did not try doing that as the read me says "Product Patched is Oracle SOA Platform" and preinstallation steps says "Set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable to SOA Home" (and not ORACLE_IDM1)
    Thanks again

  • Customizing request datasets in OIM 11g

    Hi Friends,
    I have couple of questions/issues while customizing request datasets in OIM 11g. Can you please help me?
    1) I gave read-only="true" in my request dataset for one of the attribute, but I was still able to edit that attribute value while raising requests.
    2) I gave hidden="true" in my request dataset for one of the attribute, but I was still able to see that attribute while raising requests.
    3) I have around 90 attributes in my request dataset. Is there any way to display category type and under that category display the attrbitues i.e. just like attributes in user profile.
    4) As I have 90 attributes, I am expecting the format will be like first 45 will be shown in left panel(column) and remaining 45 in right panel (column). Instead of this , it is showing first 70 in left panel and the remaining 20 in right panel which is very ugly to see. Is there any way to show frist 45 on left side and remaining 45 on the right side? Please help me.

    Regarding the first two points:
    1) The read only property applies to the approver only, i.e. approver can read and not modify the attribute. It does not apply to the requester. I don't believe you can configure a read-only attribute in the data set.
    2) If you want to hide an attribute, you can restrict it in your request template.

  • Delay in the change user password OIM 11g

    Hi guys,
    I have a problem with OIM 11g. The user accesses the OIM to do change your password, when the message that password is changed show, the user executed log-off and try access with new password, but the new password isn't accepted.
    The new password is posted to AD immediately.
    Only after of some time, the new password is accepted in OIM.
    I need the new password is applied as in AD. When changing the password.
    Someone know resolve this issue??
    Thanks

    I don’t think this is possible. You can add some delay while changing target system password. But not guarantee.

  • Self Registration in OIM 11g

    Hi,
    Can some one guide me on how to add User defined fields to self Registration page.My requirement is : In self registration form(at the login page),I have to add some UDFs and delete some existing fields.
    2.User should be created immediately - no approval process for user creation
    3.User email address should be the userid/username. All the oim-username properties should apply to user email address.(No duplicate user email address).Please help.
    Thanks.

    Regarding Question 1, Chapter 8 ( managing profile) of OIM 11g user guide should help you here. In summary, You will need to use self service related authorization policies to add udfs to self profile page.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14316/my_profile.htm#CACICCFD
    Regarding Question 3, Please check out 11.5.2 Configuring the Username Policy of OIM 11g user guide.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14316/usr_mangmnt.htm#CHDJGJJA
    You will need to configure EmailIdPolicy as the username generation policy. OIM11g has OOTB validations to enforce email uniqueness.

  • Reconciliation of "change password on next logon" from AD fails in OIM 11g

    Hello,
    We have a use case on our OIM 11g project where we create a user in Active Directory and check *"User must change password at next logon"* box in AD.
    We have setup AD as Trusted and Target resource (using connector 9.1.1.7), where users coming from AD will be created in OIM and password changes in OIM will be sent to AD. Also we use the password synchronization module (9.1.1.5) to synchronize the passwords from AD to OIM when they are changed in AD.
    What we noticed is the "User must change password at next logon" is synchronized to the "AD Resource", but unlike the regular attributes it is not accessible normally because it's a system attribute.
    What we expect is the user logging in to OIM will be prompted to change the password, but nothing happens when the newly reconciled user logs in (i.e. normal self-service page is shown). Same thing applies when we set the flag on an existing user also.
    Did anyone get this working properly?
    P.S. In a previous version it used to be the opposite where the user was constantly prompted for the password, even though it was changed in AD already, after changing the password using Alt+Crtl+Delete the user was still prompted to change when logging in to OIM. Oracle suggested we upgrade to 11.1.1.5.1 (most recent patch set) but now the reverse happens - we never get change password prompt now.
    Thanks,
    -JP
    Edited by: JacekP on Oct 17, 2011 8:10 AM

    Yeah, you're right, unfortunately we have dual authorative password model, where a user can change the password from OIM when he is accessing a OIM through a web interface or from his Windows machine through the domain controller. We need the use case to work fully both ways ideally.
    A plan-B solution is to use a directory synchronization mechanism outside of OIM that would connect OID and AD, but we would prefer not to.

  • OIM 11g - OIMAuthenticationProvider is not specified

    I'm installing all the components on a single machine : Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Enterprise Edition.
    Here are the steps that I followed :
    0) I installed Sun JDK version 1.6.0_24 for Windows x64
    1) I installed Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 and WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.3.0
    2) I applied the Repository Creation Utility rcu_win32_11.1.1.3.3 (from a Windows XP 32bit client)
    3) I installed SOA Suite ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.2.0 then patched it using ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.3.0
    4) I installed Oracle Identity and Access Management ofm_iam_generic_11.1.1.3.0
    5) I created a Weblogic domain using %MW_HOME%\Oracle_IDM1\common\bin\config.cmd
    6) I started Weblogc : %MW_HOME%\user_projects\domains\oim11g_domain\startWebLogic.cmd
    7) I run the configuration tool : %MW_HOME%\Oracle_IDM1\bin\config.cmd
    Up to this step, everything went well.
    Then, after a Weblogic reboot, I couldn't start either OIM server or SOA server.
    Using the following command (OIM for eg.) : %MW_HOME%\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\startManagedWebLogic.cmd oim_server1 http://<myserver>:7001
    I have this error :
    "*[Security:097533]SecurityProvider service class name for OIMAuthenticationProvider is not specified.*"
    I found other threads that deal with the same kind of error, for eg. : Can't start OIM 11g server after installation
    So I tried :
    - launching this script : %MW_HOME%\oracle_common\common\bin\setNMProps.cmd
    - editing %MW_HOME%\Oracle_IDM1\server\bin\setEnv.bat : to replace "XEL_HOME=.." by the absolute path "XEL_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_IDM1\server"
    None of these solutions worked for me ...
    Anyone has an idea on what could be wrong with my settings ?
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,

    Hi Kevin,
    Thanks for the reply. As suggested by you I have assigned the default value as 0 for all the checkbox type in form designer for AD User form but still I am getting the same error while provisioning the AD resource.
    Please help.

  • Creation of a Request in OIM 11G using API's

    Hi Friends,
    I am trying to create a request using OIM 11g API's.
    I am trying to do this for EBS Responsibility resource and this resource has a request dataset has EBS-IT-Resource-Instance, application name, responsibility name, start date and security group. Please note application name, responsibility name, start date and security group are in child form.
    I am trying to populate the request dataset using the below code.
    List<RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute> entityAttrList;
    RequestBeneficiaryEntity entity = null;
    entityAttrList = new ArrayList<RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute>();
    entity = new RequestBeneficiaryEntity();
    tcITResourceInstanceOperationsIntf tcITResourceIntf = Platform.getService(tcITResourceInstanceOperationsIntf.class);
    HashMap searchcriteria = new HashMap<String, String>();
    searchcriteria.put("IT Resources.Name", "EBSHF-APPS12");
    tcResultSet resultSet = tcITResourceIntf.findITResourceInstances(searchcriteria);
    long itResourceKey=resultSet.getLongValue("IT Resources.Key");
    entityAttrList.add(this.getAttrLong("eBusiness Suite Instance Name",itResourceKey));
    entityAttrList.add(this.getAttr("Application Name","3~300"));
    entityAttrList.add(this.getAttr("Responsibility Name", "3~300~52281"));
    entityAttrList.add(this.getAttr("Security Group", "3~0"));
    entity.setEntityKey(getResourceKey("Oracle eBusiness Responsibility"));
    entity.setEntityType(RequestConstants.RESOURCE);
    entity.setEntitySubType("Oracle eBusiness Responsibility");
    entity.setEntityData(entityAttrList);
    private RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute getAttr(String name, String value)
    RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute attr = null;
    attr = new RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute(name, value, RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute.TYPE.String);
    return attr;
    private RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute getAttrLong(String name, long value)
    RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute attr = null;
    attr = new RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute(name, value, RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute.TYPE.Long);
    return attr;
    My code is working fine and a request is getting created. But when I try to open the request dataset(object form) for the newly created request, I am getting null exceptions.
    If I did not populate the fields that are in the child form application name, responsibility name and security group which are highlighted above, then I am able to view the form with the correct IT-Resource-Instance name after request creation.
    So, I am thinking I am doing something wrong while populating child form data in the request dataset.
    Can you please provide me some code snippet to populate the child using 11G API'S?

    Hi Bikash,
    After referring your code, i made changes in mine. Here is my updated code.
    RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute parantAttr=null;
    List<RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute> entityAttrList;
    RequestBeneficiaryEntity entity = null;
    entity = new RequestBeneficiaryEntity();
    parantAttr=this.getAttrLong("eBusiness Suite Instance Name", itResourceKey);
    RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute mid1 = new RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute();
    List <RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute> childAttributesList = new ArrayList<RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute>();
    childAttributesList.add(this.getAttr("Application Name", "3~555"));
    childAttributesList.add(this.getAttr("Responsibility Name", "3~555~22862"));
    childAttributesList.add(this.getAttr("Security Group", "3~0"));
    mid1.setChildAttributes(childAttributesList);
    mid1.setAction(RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute.ACTION.Add);
    entityAttrList = new ArrayList<RequestBeneficiaryEntityAttribute>();
    entityAttrList.add(parantAttr);
    entityAttrList.add(mid1);
    But when I try to run this, it is getting failed saying "RequestServiceException: IAM-2050033:Invalid attribute name null. No corresponding reference was found in the data set ProvisionResourceOracle eBusiness Responsibility".
    Here is my request data set for your reference.
    <AttributeReference name="eBusiness Suite Instance Name" attr-ref="eBusiness Suite Instance Name" type="Long" length="50" widget="itresource-lookup" required="true" available-in-bulk="true" itresource-type="eBusiness Suite UM"/>

    </AttributeReference>
    <AttributeReference name="Responsibility Name" attr-ref="Responsibility Name" type="String" length="256" widget="lookup-query" available-in-bulk="true" required="true" primary="true">
    <lookupQuery lookup-query="select lkv_encoded as Value,lkv_decoded as Description from lkv lkv,lku lku where lkv.lku_key=lku.lku_key and lku_type_string_key='Lookup.EBS.Responsibility' and lkv_encoded like concat('$Form data.Application Name','~%')" display-field="Description" save-field="Value"/>
    </AttributeReference>
    <AttributeReference name="Security Group" attr-ref="Security Group" type="String" length="256" widget="lookup-query" available-in-bulk="true" required="true">
    <lookupQuery lookup-query="select lkv_encoded as Value,lkv_decoded as Description from lkv lkv, lku lku where lkv.lku_key=lku.lku_key and lku_type_string_key='Lookup.EBS.SecurityGroup' and lkv_encoded like concat('$Form data.eBusiness Suite Instance Name', '~%')" display-field="Description" save-field="Value"/>
    </AttributeReference>
    I am not sure why it is not referencing to the attribute. In your blog, it is saying your code is to set process form. But i am trying to create a request using API's. so, I need some code snippet to populate request dataset. Do you think, this will serve both?
    Thanks for your help.
