Appraisal forms and normalizing the results

Hi everybody,
What is the SAP best practice(s) for normalizing the result of appraisal forms?
Imagine you are running an annual appraisal form at the end of year and you would omit 10% lowest and highest results. Or you would apply a normalizing algorithm for appraisal results of a department. and so on.

You can certainly create a Quiz using FormsCentral but there is nothing built in to "grade" the quiz and no integration with any grading systems like flubaroo.
You might be able to use "Formulas" on the "View Response" tab to identify correct/incorrect answers.

Adding a field to an Event Booking form and modyfying the results module.

I am trying to use the Events/Booking system to book casual days at a child care centre for a client. I can customise the Events Detail form layout but I need some additional fields and to make some changes to the auto responses.
The form/page is only visible in a secure zone, so the logged in user gets the form submitted against their name. This is fine. However, I need to also capture the name of the child who is being booked in by the adult. Can I add a field to this form and have it recorded in the event bookings. I have tried to add a field, but the data is not captured in the form results.
I also need to modify a few other things about the module:
- the form work flow. Where/how can I set the workflow used for the Event/Booking Submission? It seems to have picked one at random.
- I need to change the text/field names on the form results module on both the email confirmation and the confirmation page.
- it shows "Seats Booked" which in this case is an inappropriate description of the action taken. I need to change this to "Places Requested", or remove it completely.
- it also shows "Booking Confirmed". I need to change this to "Booking Request Received"
- the email confirmation shows a Verify Booking Link at the top of the email. This isn't in the Notification Email template on the Event. How can I remove it?
I can use javascript to hide or search and replace some of the offending tags, but I was hoping that there was a cleaner way.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The form for booking is just a web form, BC treats it differently when in the events page. So under web forms you will find the booking form. You can not just add fields to the html of the form. You need to add them here so they can go into the database.
- The webform workflow can be changed on the web form settings, the workflows are under the site settings and you can create/edit them there.
- You can only have the name of the fields that come out, you do not have much customisation on the email confirmation or the layout. You can not limit or edit the fields.
- You can not use javascript in emails, this is not a BC thing, this is an email/web thing.

All you have to do is call your SF to get OTF and then concert it to PDF. Works like charm:

Send and See the result Survey Campaign

Dear All Expert,
Im completing Survey form and was attach my URL link to the mail form. Now i can test by survey campaign transaction. my questions is:
1. How Can I send this campaign for lets say i want to send this survey campaign for 50 BP person. FYI i was create mail form and attach the link survey form, in the campaign where tab can be define for this case? how about the action tab function? is any spesific setting there?
2. later, If I want to see a feed back or result response from my respondent can u tell me how to solve this?

I was try to solve this issue by ur suggestion but Im still confusing, especially in the phase choose "extra and then target group to channel". but for for the point 2 this is I mean im just make sure if want to converted the result survey by spreadsheet format. (do you think this need to ABAP effort again? cause im get error message for this). Would you give me some documentation for this Gregor?

Hi Prashant,
Native SQL commands in ABAP are placed between EXEC SQL and ENDEXEC. You can place all your statements in between these EXEC SQL and ENDEXEC in a report.

How to use TextField to add two numbers and show the result.

hi everybody
i would like to use JTextField to get addtion of two Numbers,
for example i am trying to type any integer numbers in JTextField like 7
and press JButton, called( +) to add anthor number like 7 and press JButton called(=) to get addtion fo
7 + 7 = 14, at same JTextField.
so there will be two buttons, one for (+),other for (=).
i have implement ActionListener in (+) button ,to get Text from JTextField (with getText() method),
now how do i use same getText() method to get the next number that i will add it with previous number in
(+) button and get the result whenever i press (=).
1-type integer number like (4) in TextField.
2-press addition button(+) to get text by using getText() method and clear TextField.
3-type anthor integer number like(6).
4-press (=) button to get the number (6) by using getText() method, calculate 4 + 6 and show the result at same TextField (10).

Use your first button to
String x = JTField.getText();
int y = Integer.parseInt(x);
this will get your first value on your + button. Make sure you initialise the int beforehand incase nothing is put in (ie error prevention) then clear the JTField prob using setText(""). Repeat the process for the = button using different variables and add them normally and output the result.
If your putting more than 1 arithmetic button on the GUI then you'll need to distinguish between them!!!

Using Powershell Script Run simple query in MS Access 2007 and export the results of query to Excel

I have a Access 2007 DB file and 2 Big tables inside that (bigger than the size that can be easily handled by MS Excel 2007).
My requirement is automate using powershell scripts the below things.
1. Create a SQL query in Access DB and save that in access DB
2. Run the saved query and export the result in excel sheet where I can create the charts and Pivots. Thanks in advance

How to get the PO no in the smart form and in the print program from ME23N

I am new to smart form printing.I want to make a smartform along with print program that will show PO Details.It has to be created as an o/p type in ME23N. I have created an o/p type ZPO using NACE ..Can some one tell me how to get the PO number in the smart form and in the print program from ME23N ,so that I can then program the necessary calculations?plz help me with the code.Thanks in advance.

How do I get iTunes 11 to work as the old iTunes did in this respect: after playing a song in one playlist, I click on another playlist, highlight a song, press play, and get the result of that song playing & that playlist continuing?

How do I get iTunes 11 to work as the old iTunes did in this respect: after playing a song in one playlist, I click on another playlist, highlight a song, press play, and get the result of that song playing & that playlist continuing? As it goes now, one clicks on the song in the new playlist where the arrow is and then chooses 'Play Song Next.' So, it plays next, but then the song after that is back in the old playlist. I want to use iTunes smoothly without the extra clicks I've had to do in order to get the playlist to continue. This is music for background while I play the violin at restaurants, and extra clicks and hassle is quite unappreciated, especailly since it worked fine in the previous iTunes.

At the top of the playlist where it shows the playlist title and the number of songs, there are two icons. Click the "play" triangle to add the entire playlist to "Up Next", or the "shuffle" symbol to do the same thing but in random order. But the currently playing track will stop playing, and all the songs in "Up Next" will be removed (replaced by the ones from this playlist).
If you hold down the "option" key while clicking those icons, the currently playing song will continue playing, and the new playlist will be added to "Up Next" (above the songs that were already there).

How do I create a 1d array that takes a single calculation and insert the result into the first row and then the next calculation the next time the loop passes that point and puts the results in thsecond row and so on until the loop is exited.

The attached file is work inprogress, with some dummy data sp that I can test it out without having to connect to equipment.
The second tab is the one that I am having the problem with. the output array from the replace element appears to be starting at the index position of 1 rather than 0 but that is ok it is still show that the new data is placed in incrementing element locations. I didn't really have time to dig in and understand your program in depth,
but I have a few tips for you that might things a bit easier:
- You use local variables excessively which really complicates things. Try
not to use them and it will make your life easier.
- If you flowchart the design (very similar to a dataflow diagram, keep in
mind!) you want to gather data, calculate a value from that data, store the
calculation in an array, and loop while the time is in a certain range. So
theres really not much need for a sequence as long as you get rid of the
local variables (sequences also complicate things)
- You loop again if timepassed+1 is still less than some constant. Rather
than messing with locals it seems so much easier to use a shiftregister (if
absolutely necessary) or in this case base it upon the number of iterations
of the loop. In this case it looks like "time passed" is the same thing as
the number of loop iterations, but I didn't check closely. There's an i
terminal in your whileloop to read for the number of iterations.
- After having simplified your design by eliminating unnecessary sequence
and local variables, you should be able to draw out the labview diagram.
Don't try to use the "insert into array" vis since theres no need. Each
iteration of your loop calculates a number which goes into the next position
of the array right? Pass your result outside the loop, and enable indexing
on the terminal so Labview automatically generates the array for you. If
your calculation is a function of previous data, then use a shift register
to keep previous values around.
I wish you luck. Post again if you have any questions. Without a more
detailed understanding of your task at hand it's kind of hard to post actual
code suggestions for you.

Is there any way to search for a term using the Firefox search field, and have the results automatically open in a new tab? When there was support for Google Toolbar, I was able to do this; now, whenever I want to search for something, I have to open a new tab to do it, and cut-and-paste my search into the search field in the new tab. I used to be able to highlight, drag, and drop something into the search field and have it automatically open in a new tab. This is enough for me to switch to Chrome . . .

Executing Procedure in SQL SERVER and Storing the results in Oracle 10g

I am trying execute SQL SERVER procedure from Oracle 10g and store the results in a oracle table. When I tried executing the procedure i am getting errors.
I am using Oracle Heteroeneous Services.
Steps I followed.
1. Created ODBC DSN on Oracle Server connecting to SQL SERVER database.
2. Created Listner entry and TNSNAMES entries.
3. Created Database link and able to select the data from the SQL SERVER tables.
Here is the code i tried to execute the procedure.

Hello,
GO to SQ01 and select your query. Go to Menu QUERY-->More Functions->Display Report Name.
You can then take that report name and go to SE38. Copy the code before END-OF_SELECTION and then modify as per your own requirements.
