Standard n-step approval workflow for Purchase Order in sap 4.7?
Hello friend,
In SAP 4.7 there is any standard template for n-step approval workflow for Purchase Order.
thanks in advance.Hi AM,
there is no std template for n-step approvals but for Single Release.
What you could do is create a custom one as per the number of approvals for PO.
Also note a PO Release Strategy can handle only 8 levels of approval.
Hope it helps.

URGENT:Approval of purchase order
At present approval of purchase order is done based on order value.. but how to approve PO based on ITEM CATEGORY?
Go in Purchasing Super User responsibility and follow the path Setup: Approvals: Approval Groups. In the Approval Groups form you choose "Item Category Range" as value, put an amount limit and indicate low and high values for purchasing category. You put all this in either an existing or a new approval group and then assign this group to some HR position in Approval Assignments.
Hope this helps

Activating conditions for Purchase Order workflows in EBP
Dear SRMer's,
I am facing the following problem:
System Info :SRM Server 5.5, ECC 6.0
Scenario 1:
All start conditions for Purchase Order in SAP Business Workflow are activated.
I created a direct procurement shopping cart (DP) in SRM browser and ordered it, then I logged in as proffessional purchaser, changed the Price and processed the DP PO.
When Ordering, the follow on Documents are created, but says the PO is waiting for approval. When I check for this PO in the Backend R/3 system in the Me22n (Display PO changes), I don't see the PO.
Scenario 2:
All Start conditions for Purchase Order in SAP Business Workflow are de-activated
I created another direct procurement shopping cart (DP2) in SRM browser and ordered it, then I logged in as proffessional purchaser, changed the Price and processed the DP2 PO (Status is held).
When Ordering, I get the Warning message, no workflow found, contact system administrator.
Please advice what needs to be configured for the PO to be ordered successfully.
Thanks in advance
RajHi,
In your scenario 1, if system is saying that there the PO has to be approved, it means that you have managed the user that will receive the workitem..
Activating all PO WF is not a solution as in standard there are two many cases activated (amount, role, limit...)
I propose you to first activate only the 0 step WF and to overwrite the code inside
Just code that every PO modification should trigger O step WF thus it will be more simple to test it.
Later on, if you want to implement more complex starting conditions, you just have to modify the WF content...
Kind regards,

Unable to approve standard Purchase order
Hi ,
We are into 11.5.10.2 , We are getting following error when trying to approve the purchase order by approver . PO Status is in "Pre approved"
unable To Approve Standard Purchase Order 975761
Line # 17 At least one or more item attributes failed validation.
Action: Verify values for the following attributes: purchasing_enabled_flag, stock_enabled_flag, outside_operation_flag and bom_item_type.
Please, fix the problem and try approving again from this notification or send the document back to the preparer.
PO is going to top Hierarchy inspite of having enough aprroval limits .
Item attributes was set to Inactive in Master Level and was active in Organization items . Changed to Active in Master Item and still getting the issue .
PO is getting forwarded to next approver and finally it is in "pre approved status " with above error
Thanks in Advance
KiranHi Kartik,
1) In Item Master , status is set to OBSOLETE and purchasable check box is unchecked . Item master organization was set in purchasing options .
2) Organization item , status is Active . stockable and Purchasable check boxes are checked and outside processing item unchecked . This is receiving org in Purchasing .
I think Purchasing is considering Master org status as it is validation org for purchasing .
Thanks

Creating workflow for purchase order release.
Hi friends
I want step by step detail about creation of workflow for purchase order release..
After release purchase order it will goes to the two level of approval..
after that the workflow should be completed...
how can i develope the workflow for that scenario..
Thanks
GowrishankarHi Gowrishankar,
You can get step by step workflow for PO using standard workflow
<b>Release of Purchase Order :WS20000075</b>
And for two levels of approvals you have to configure in SPRO the path is
Purchase Order:
SPRO> Material Management->Purchasing->/Purchase order-->Release procedure ---> Procedure with classification ---> set up procedure with classification ---> double click on Release strategies and Workflow.
If you don't know about this configuration, you have to confirm with your MM consultant.

Starting Conditions for Purchase Order WF
Hi all,
We have developed a Workflow (Process-Controlled Workflow) for SRM Purchase Order. The requirement we have is that if the PO is released and then changed, only the WF should start again if the amount is changed. Any other field change in the PO should not trigger WF again.
There is customizing to define which fields should trigger WF for Shopping Cart, but I don´t found this for Purchase Order:
PRO--> SRM server --> sourcing--> Define Fields in Shopping Cart Which Trigger Workflow
Any suggestions?
Many thanks,

Release strategy for Purchase order
Hi Friends,
My client was using Release strategy for purchase order. Now we want to know the T-code for showing list of Rejected Purchase orders, T-code for for showing list of approved purchase orders, T-code for showing list of blocked purchase order.
Thanks and regards
KrishnaHI,
You can go to SE16N view table name EKKO
FRGKE Release ind. = B
FRGZU Release status = <blank>
mean, this PO yet to approve/ rejected.
FRGKE Release ind. = R
FRGZU Release status = X
means, this PO has been approved.
Hope this helps -

Edited by: chnadu9 on Jan 5, 2011 5:48 AMHi,
The release code is a two character ID allowing a person to release (clear, or approve) a requisition or an external purchasing document. The release codes is basically controlled via a system of authorizations (authorization object M_EINK_FRG).
Use SE12, structure CEKKO to check all the fields available for controlling the Purchase Order.
An example of configuring a Purchase Order Release Strategy
If the total value for the Purchase Order exceeds 10,000, release strategy 01 is assigned to the Purchase Order. There is only one characteristic created in this example. For controlling the Purchase Order type, create characteristic for CEKKO-BSTYP and the value NB.
Steps for configuring the PO release strategy
Create the PO Characteristic
Transaction code : CT04 - Create Characteristic e.g. NETVALUE
Click Additional data tabstrips
Table name CEKKO Field name GNETW and press enter and you will see this information message :-
Format data taken from Data Dictionary (press enter)
(for currency dependent field, you are prompt to enter the currency which the system then converts the currency of the Purchasing document into this currency)
In the Basic data tabsritps (X refers to tick),
X Mutliple values
X Interval values
In the Value data, in the Char. value column, type >=10000 (equal or greater than 10000) and press enter
Save your data
Create the Class of the PO Release Strategy
Transaction code : CL02 - Class
Class - Create REL_PUR
Class type - 032
Click Create button
Description - Release Procedure for Purchase Order
In the Same Classification section, click Check with error
In the Char. (characteristic) tabstrips, type NETVALUE to assign your characteristics to the class
Save your data and this message will appear :-
Class type 032: Class REL_PUR created
Define the Release Procedure
OMGS - Define Release Procedure for Purchase Order Type
Release Group - New entries
Rel.group Rel. Object Class Description
02 REL_PUR Rel. Strategy for PO
Save your entries.
Release codes - New entries
Grp Code
02 01
Save your entries.
Release indicators - New entries
Release indicators Release Description
0 Blocked
1 X Release
Save your entries
Release Strategy - New entries
Release group 02
Rel.strategy 01 - Release
Release codes 01
Release status 0 - Blocked
1 - Release
Click the Release prerequisities button
Click the Relase statuses button the click the Continue button
Click the Classification button
Choose your check values
Click the Back button
Save your entries
Check your PO release configuration
Finally, check your PO Release Strategy configuration to make sure that there are no errors.
OMGSCK - Check Release Strategies
(make sure there are no error messages)
Once the Purchase Order is not release, buyers will not be able to print the Purchase Order.
Goods Receipts will be shown with Message no. ME 390 - Purchasing document XXXXXXX not yet released.
In 4.6c, Purchase Order with Release Strategy have a tabs at the end of the Header. This allowed the buyers to check the release status of the Purchase Order.
The person with the release authorization have to use ME28 to release the Purchase Order.

PO 'No goods receipt possible for purchase order'
Hi gurus!
While trying to make Confirmation of a PO in the SRM Portal the user is getting the error 'No goods receipt possible for purchase order'
The scenario used is Classic, so PO is replicated directly to the R/3 system.
Any idea why this is happening?
Thanks a lot!Hi, thanks for the quick reply!
Where i can check the Item category?
I found a field called 'subitem category' but it's blank
with this possible values:
1 Variant
2 Discount in kind: inclusive bonus qty.
3 Empties
4 Discount in kind: exclusive bonus qty.
5 Prepack item
6 Display item
7 Set item
8 Interchangeable items (IBU: A&D)
9 Pre-packing (SLS items)
H GT Bill of Material, Header Relevant
I GT Bill of Material, Item Relevant
About PO type i think it's EC (doc_type?), in R/3 is shown as EBP PO
I checked in backend system, in the item details > Delivery and the 'Goods Receipt' is checked. -
Goods-Receipt Block for Purchase Order depending on Goods-Receipt Date
Hi,
I want to set up the system so it can block the Goods-Receipt for Purchase Order respectively Scheduling Agreement if the Goods Receipt is about to take place 30 days or more before the Desired Delivery Date.
For Example: If I have a Purchase Order with the desired delivery date 30.09.2008. I want to set up the system so, that it bans (forbids) the Goods Receipt before the 01.09.2008.
If possible I would want to do that without additional programming. Is it possible to set up the system using only customising settings?
Thanks for your help
BogdanHello Marius-Bodgan,
as this question is marked answered I assume you have received an solution for your requirement. Could you please share the solution with me by posting it here? I have the same requirement and did not find any possibility to do this in customizing.
