Apps missing in appworld online when BB connected
I recently installed a bunch of apps (mostly the free before 12/31 ones) via the Apps web site.
The apps installed properly and showed in my Installed apps tab in My World online on my PC.
Now when I log in online on my PC to my world I see all the apps there, but as soon as I connect my Bold 9700 the apps disappear and only a couple apps that I just recently installed appear.
The apps are still there on the phone but some I want to uninstall for now until later, however I'm afraid if they don't show up on my world online that they will be deleted permanently and I won't be able to get them back.
How do I get My World online to match My World on my BB?

A bit confused. Are you saying your friends are using your itunes on your laptop to buy apps and that you are then syncing them to your iphone?
"..friends have downloaded.." - downloaded from where (or perhaps they downloaded directly from itunes store to your iphone?). Are we talking about a jailbroken iphone? -
I have over 20 songs and apps on my phone and when i connect it to my computer none will transfer over into my Itunes on my computer this is the first time this has done this and i dont want to loose anything, everything is up to date so im not sure why this is happening
The computer must be authorized to the same account you have on your iPhone. Connect the phone and choose Transfer Purchases from the iTunes File menu.

Why App Server Deosn't Start When Internet Connection is On
I have installed PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 and Tootls 8.52 on my laptop and I can work with the application without any issues when internet is disconnected from my laptop (starting web server, app server, process scheduler and working with tools and application is fine) but app server doesn't start and I cannot work with application when internet connection is on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I had the same problem on my laptop with tools 8.50. I solved it by creating an entry in my local HOSTS file that represented my local PC (ie 127.0.0.1) and then used this new hostname in all my peoplesoft configuration.
AS to why it does this.... I never investigated.... but this for me at least did clear up this issue.

I have Just purchased iphone 5. I came to know that I can install apps only through itunes. When I connect my iphone to my laptop it only gets charged. I am unble to install itunes on my laptop.

ManjunathYou can install apps directly to the phone by going to the app store app that came with the phone. However you should also install itunes on your computer. What computer do you have and what operating system is it running?

How can i read books purchased from i books when not connected to wifi . At the moment can only access via app store , which can only do when connected . I want top download to the device , not keep in a cloud!
If you download them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app on your iPad then they should show in the Books collection on the app's bookshelf - and you should be able to read any books that you download from the store to your bookshelf without needing to be online.

when ipad connected to windows computer for sync I cannot install or remove an app. Screen does not react. Also lost my app store app from the ipad screen. IPad is ipad 2 and op system is 8.1.1. Just tried full restore and still the situation is the same.
For the missing App Store issue, if you swiped fro screen to screen to look in other folders and didn't find it, and did a spotlight search to see which folder it is in and had no success with that, Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that you didn't disable it.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.
For the syncing issue, which screen does not react, the computer and iTunes or the iPad? -
ok so we bought an ipod touch for my daughter and when she connected it to the computer after she downloaded itunes, she was asked if it was her ipod or a new one, so she clicked on her ipod and lost all her recent pics plus is unable to locate the app store on her safari on her ipod touch. any suggestions as to what went wrong or what should be done ? should we restore or what?
much appreciated if there is anyone else who had this happen to them.- The iPod got erased since it sounds iTunes identified that the iPod has been synced with another computer and she said yes to making this computer her syncing computer. It could also she restored the iPod from the backup of another iPod, iPhone or iPad that was in iTunes. If in iTunes you go to Preferences>Devices is there a backup listed for her iPod with a date/time when she first connected the iPod to the computer. If so then restore the iPod from that backup.

- Regarding the App store. The App store is not in Safari. It is a separate app. Also, could the Apple store be hidden by Restrictions? Settings>General>Restrictions. Further, can you find the App store via the Spotlight search on the iPod? -
My iphone 4s wont sync when I connect it to the pc( not apple). It is connected as it comes up on itunes but when I try to sync it with apps/ music etc it wont. I am doing something wrong or is it a mistake with the phone. I am still able to download apps and music from itunes on my phone though.
I already restored it but that didn't help.
TIA for any replies.iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

I have got a new computer and i can no longer do a full sync. Apple always tells me I will lose all my exisiting Apps if I do a new sync. I prefer to purchase Apps on my computer over my iPod because of the smaller iPod. The new computer is recognized by Apple as an allowable new PC.
But this Sync warning is a pain. Plus, when i view my iPod's App icons on my copmputer, I can no longer drag and move them. I have the latest version of iTunes installed. Thank you for your helpSyncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your device manually before syncing, you can restore it from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your iPod for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

As for your second problem, see if restrictions for app installation and deleting apps are active in Settings/General/Restrictions. If yes, allow to install and delete app again.

i have an internet connection but when i open app store it shows error message "cannot connect to app store".when i try to sign in with my valid apple ID and password it says "connection failed".i tried keychain access settings but it did not help.please help me!!
Open Sysem Preferences from your Apple () menu top left in your screen then select the Firewall tab.
Make sure the Firewall is turned off. -
i cant download apps throgh wifi on my iphone however when i connect to cellular data it starts downloading. then what is wrong over wifi , i tried reset network setting but i didnt help
Definitely sounds like an issue with your Wi-Fi network. Do any other devices on the network have similar issues? Is it an issue only with downloading apps? You can check by trying to load a website in Safari.
I would try turning your Wi-Fi router off for 1 minute, and back on again.
After doing that, disconnect and re-join the Wi-Fi network on your iPhone and try downloading an app again. -
i downloaded the GV app to my iphone but i'm trying to set up the app and it says it can't connect to google when i try to sign in to my google account.... any ideas what's wrong? i can access my gmail account just fine with my gmail app on the same phone
