Arabic Payslip on ESS

Hi all,
I am using ESS JAVA web Dynpro. when i call the payslip in arabic it gives me some characters not the proper arabic. in engligh it working fine. how can i resolve this arabic payslip issue.

There are 2 things you need to check:
1. In HRFORMS check if the payslip is been maintained for the Country in discussion?
2. IN WDJ app create Project for ess/rep Now in the Web Dynpro Perspective open View Navigator
In the Navigator - go to path - src - packages - expand to the different component level - here you can find all the .xlf files.
Check for _ar.xlf file which is specific for Arabic. And make sure the text you are looking for is maintained.
Also check for SAP Notes . There are chances that you are not using the right version of Business Package Content.

Hi All
Client wants to display payslips in ESS for employees and the payroll is processed in Third party vendor system.
I Would like to know whether we can store the payroll results in Result Tables in R/3 and generate the payslip and make it available in ESS.
How can we store all the monthly results in Result Tables in R/3. And months payslips should be available for employee through ESS.

Data not getting populated in Payslip in ESS Portal

Hi All
I am tryig to display Payslip in Portal. Have done all the necessary configuration in Benefits and payments->Salary statement->HRFOR/ EDTIN features.
Correct Payslip form is visible but data is not getting populated in the payslip.
Have tested the Payslip in PC00_M40_CEDT transaction with the variant i have set for HRFOR/EDTIN features and Payslip data is displayed correctly.
Have checked for PZ11_PDF transaction but i get a message saying it cannot be accessed through Easy access.
Can anyone pls let me know what might be the reason for data not getting populated in Payslip in Portal?
what is role of PZ11_PDF transaction in Payslip display in Portal?

Hello,
Do one thing for executing the PZ11_PDF trsaction please follow following steps.
1. Once you log in SAP system with same User - Id which you r using on Portal .
Once log in PUT "/N" in the command box . Then put the trasaction "PZ11_PDF" and execute it will
Call the salary statement .
Or
Once you log in SAP system put the trasction "/nsbwp" then give the trasaction "PZ11_PDF" it will
call the salary statement ..
give inputs once you done
.....The issue with Authorisations please check it ...
Add this object in ESS role "S_SERVICE' ...
and this object in ESS role "P_PERNR" ---infotype 0008

How to hide/remove Particular column from the payslip in ESS\MSS Portal overview table?

Steps to be followed.
1)Go to SE18
2)Select Enhancement spot
3)Give the Espot name 'HRESS_PAYSLIP'
4)From left side double click on the Implementing Class 'CL_HRESS_PAYSLIP_BADI_STANDARD'.
5)Within that double click on the method 'if_hress_payslip_badi~adjust_field_catalog'.
6)AT the end of this method there will be 4 Lines of coding with the Loop and endloop. This is the code which
is use to hide the column from ESS/MSS payslip overview.
7) According to your requirements you should copy the same 4 lines code and hard code the particular column field name
with the Implicit Enhancement.
Below Code is for ur understanding:
clear ls_field_usage.
   ls_field_usage-enabled = abap_false.
    ls_field_usage-visibility = cl_wd_uielement=>e_visible-none.
    modify ct_field_usage from ls_field_usage transporting enabled visibility
      where name eq 'Hardcode ur column field name'.

For making a page/iview invisible temporally without deleting from role, change page/iview property "Invisible in navigation areas" to "yes" then it will be hided in navigation areas.

Avoid Retro payslips in ESS

Dear All,
We are using the pay slip which created through PE51 and same we are using in ESS also.
Now the issue is if there is a retro then there will be multiple pay slips for the current month say example January R, February R and March Current.
I need to avoid this retro payslips and need only Current only.
How I can Achieve this pls...

In PC00_M40_CEDT, you have the option of Layout of RetroActive Runs. By default the valueis set as J. Change that to A / S as per your requirement.

ESS Payslip - Unable to view in Portal after changing the variant in R/3.

Unfortunatly, someone was deleted a variant in R/3 for Payslip. So I have created a new variant in R/3 and am able to see my Payslip perfectly in R/3. But If I try to view the same Payslip ( for any month ) in Portal it is showing nothing.
I feel that this was happend due to that variant in backed missing. I know there is a property been set to that variant in repective iView.
Now I want set my created variant in Portal. Where exactly I have to add this variant in Portal ( iView) and how?

Have u set the required customisations in backend.
Normally when u see the payslip in ESS, it shows not for the current month its shows one month prior's salary slip so try generating a salary slip for previous month.

Multiple Payslips in PDF Document

Hi All,
We have a requirement of getting multiple Payslips in a single PDF document.
Right now, we use the Java Webdynpro application to display payslips in ESS using a custom HR Form / Smartform.
This allows us to display a single payslip in PDF format.
Our requirement is to input a date range, and if that date range has 12 salary statements(assuming each statement is one page), we need a PDF document created with 12 pages in it.
Upon analysis, I found the class CL_HRXSS_REM used to generate the standard payslips.
Any guidance, in terms of how I can use this to meet our requirement would be highly appreciated.

you can control from here but having multiple payslips ? you mean different smartforms for each scenario??
You can check these features
1. HRFOR - This feature decides whether to use HRFORMS or CEDT forms
(configured in PE51) for the payslip. If HRFORMS, the name of HRFORM has
to be mentioned here. If PE51 needs to be used then $CEDT$ should be
specified.
2. EDTIN - This should hold the value of the variant to be executed in
the CEDT program (payslip program). The variant should be proper with
the with the correct CEDT (payslip) form name and other parameters.
3. EDPDF - The name of the smartform (standard smartform
HR_ESS_PAYSLIP_TO_PDF or customer specific form) used to show the output
in the ESS.
Or you can check in method L_PRODUCE_FORM
Default implementation of BADI XSS_REM_INTERFACE is stored in
class CL_DEF_IM_XSS_REM_INTERFACE. If you go to SE24, enter this
class and then select method PROVIDE_FILTERED_RGDIR, you will be able to
see the default implementation regarding the 3 days I mentioned before:
method IF_EX_XSS_REM_INTERFACE~PROVIDE_FILTERED_RGDIR .
DATA: newest_date LIKE sy-datum.
ex_filtered_rgdir] = im_in_rgdir[.
CLEAR ex_message.
remove all in-periods where not:
a) paydt is at the past
b) paydt is in the near future (3 days)

Please, when implementing this BADI do not forget to mantain the other
methods as explained in note 901850.

If those fields are enhanced field you can check that info in TX- CMOD
go to your enhancement & find your include pgm there you can get the info about table from which table they are puling those fields.

ESS Pasylip Format

Hi,
Payslip in ESS is coming correct with all the numeric values and their formats.
But when I print the pdf payslip, it gets printed in landscape, immaterial of whether I choose portrait or landscape.
We need to print the pdf payslip in portrait as a client requirement.
Need inputs on the same.
Do we need to redefine the existing remuneration form or change it completely?
Is there any specific setting regarding the same?

Remuneration statement when generated in R3 and printed on a local printer machine is printed in portrait when that printer setting is selected.
But whn the same paylsip of the same perner is printed in ESS(In ESS it comes in pdf), immaterial of the format I choose (landscape/portrait), it is printed only in landscape.

Unable to view Payslip/Remuneration statement

Hi,
We are using EP 6.0. One of our user is not able to view his payslip through ESS. Except Payslip he can view all other HR information like Leave status etc. When he clicks on the Payslip no message/nothing comes. But in R3 he can see his payslip. Please help.

Can you able to access direct pz11_pdf via ITS using http://<ITS server with FQDN>:<Port No.>/scripts/wgate/pz11_pdf/! . As long as it is accessible via above URL it should be ok. It is a very strange behaviour if it is ok in R/3 and ITS but not working in portal. You may please try to check the issue at other PC too.

Dump-Phenomenon No Auth Function Group HRSSC00TRACKING

Hi guys,
we have a strange phenomenon occuring and I can't come up with an explanation, please help:
On our production System we went productive on EHP 4 yesterday. I got a call from basis team today that we have about 2000 Dumps DAILY in production. The problem is the following:
User XXX has no authority for Function Group HRSSC00TRACKING.
I traced the error down to Function Module HRXSS_SER_RFW_RFC_GET_FORM which is responsible for parts of the JAVA environment in process of the ESS Scenario for the Payslip. So this error occurs EVERY time when a user calls his payslip on ESS (we have over 20000 Users...). However, the end user functionality is not influenced by this. The end users o not get any error.
The error can be reproduced on the QS System.
The error can NOT be reproduced on Development System.
The respective R3-Roles with the authorities for the Portal Role which contains the authority for our customer ESS Role are All Equal on all three Systems. The Role does not contain the authority for this function group, which explains why it isn't working on prod and QS. But this should also reflect on Development then, which it doesn't. I'm confused with this and don't know where to approach. There are no SAP-Notes concerning this. X-Search only turns up one thread which doesnt help either:

The Stacks on ECC and Portal are Equal for all Systems in the Landscape and there is no Stack-Missmatch.
I know we could just assign the authority and transport the Role "because hey, it might just work out" but this still doesn't clarify the situation and makes it all even more troublesome. Also I probably won't be able to reason with our Authority expert because the error can'r be reproduced on all systems....

Yeah, when taking a closer look at *hr_ssc_create_service_object both tables are called WITHIN the FM which the users don't have the RFC Authority for. No other choice than giving the authority then...

POWL Mass Approval EHP5

We have just started looking at the powl for mass approval of leave requests in EHP5.
It works fine - we can mark requests and approve them.
However, in this mass approval, the manager will not see notes written or see quota for the employee like he does in a regular approval. It may be that we just haven't played with it enough. But I have some questions:
1. Is there a possibility from mass approval to go in and see the request like you do from UWL?
2. Does anyone have experience with representing leave requests both in UWL and in POWL? I imagine this can lead to confusion.

I didn´t have to use it with leave requests, but the solution that I found to use on clock-in/clock-out corrections approval can help you to achieve your requirements:
1 - To create the Notes column, on CL_HRMSS_CICO_APPROVAL_POWL class, I created an enhancement and I added in the structure "ty_s_powl_table" the bellow line. To reach at this point, I navigated on IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_OBJECT_DEFINITION method.
types reason type ABANGRTXT.
2 - To fill up the content on Notes column, on same class CL_HRMSS_CICO_APPROVAL_POWL, method CL_HRMSS_CICO_APPROVAL_POWL, create other enhancement, to get the notes from somewhere for each line. I don´t know the tables for leaving request, once I haven´t used it.
We have developed many enhancements during the project to achieve the requirements of our customer. These enhancements helped us to avoid creating Z copies of many applications.
I´ve used enhancements to achieve many requirements for: Clock-in Clock-out corrections (ESS and MSS), Payslip statement (ESS) and Appraisals (ESS and MSS).
