Archiving BPEL processes

Hi,
I'm looking at programatically tidying up our BPEL domains, and have taken a look at the cookbook entry http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/blanvalet.html
Can anyone explain to me where all the process state is archived TO?
Is it possible to retrieve this data, if so, how? Say we needed to reload a specific instance back into the bpel domain, how would we go abot doing this?

According to the thread about archiving, it says that file archiving is going to be deprecated and db level archiving is going to be provided.

I am wondering if db archiving of instances are now provided in 10.1.3 and file archiving is indeed desupported. Can you please provide a document about archiving bpel instances?
We found that our bpel dehydration storage is consumed rapidly. So, I need to come up with a solution to clean up dehydration storage and preserve data in other place while we prepare partition in db.

Using Java Embedding Unzip Code and a Trigger File in a BPEL Process

Hello,
Thanks in advance to anyone that contributes with any insight. It is much appreciated. Having said that I will get to the crux of my problem.
I am currently using Oracle 11g. I have created a SOA composite application that incorporates BPEL and Java. I have the code needed to unzip and extract compressed folders. However, when this was first built out using BPEL it automatically created a web service in the "exposed service" lane and not a file adapter which I believe is needed in order to trigger the process via a start.txt file for example. Based on what I know ... this web service automatically connecting to the BPEL process was simply due to the order of operations, etc. So by creating a 'read' file adapter first and then creating the BPEL process and selecting the template "Define Service Later", it does not automatcially connect the web service to the BPEL process and it will allow me to connect a file adapter to this BPEL process instead ... great. When opening up the BPEL file I then connect a recieve component to this file adapter and configure appropriately.
Essentially, my objective in setting up a trigger to start this unzip process is due to the BPEL process before that outputs or writes the .zip folder to the same directory that I want to poll and/or trigger via a start.txt file. I can get this process to work with a webservice connecting to the BPEL process and by using a Java Embedded in BPEL file, which in turns calls the package/ class that has the java code needed to unzip.
For some reason whenever I try to use a file adapter instead of the native web service that gets created (as mentioned above) it doesn't work. It seems to build or compile just fine however, I am getting errors when I try to deploy.
Note: The Java code contains all the paths where the zip file is to be taken from and extracted to. So because this is in the code I don't need the file adapter to handle this. I just want to use the file adapter so that I can trigger the process via start.txt or something of that nature.

Error deploying BPEL process on SOA Suite 11g

We have installed SOA Suite 11g (Weblogic 10.3.1.0) on Windows.
I'm trying to deploy a simple BPEL Process on this SOA Suite through JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0 Studio.
However I'm getting the following error:

Hi, it´s a little late, but it may help to someone else.
I just got the same error on deployment and realized i was going through a proxy server, who was responding with a http 503 code to deployment request from JDeveloper. Just check your proxy settings under Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and proxy and add an exception if needed.
I also had to restart JDeveloper (a bug?) after adding the exception to correct the issue.

Error in deploying BPEL Process with Embedded Java code

I am trying to do a simple sample BPEL Process which invokes a Java class.i have placed the jar file in the classpath and the Process compiles and builds in the BPELDesigner,but when deployed it shows the below error in the BPEL console.The beauty here is it show a success message in the BPEL Designer after deployment.

In 10.1.2.0.2 you need to create your own build.xml

Getting the error while deploying the HelloWorld BPEL process

Hi Folks...
I installed the BPM of version soa_windows_x86_bpel_101310.
I designed and rebuilt the HelloWorld BPEL process in Jdeveloper10.13.1. It is executed with out any errors.
I tried to deploy it in BPEL console 10.1.3.1.0. Then I got the following error
Missing process descriptor file. The process deployment descriptor file "bpel.xml" has not been packaged in the BPEL archive "bpel_41030.tmp". Please generate the BPEL archive again using the "bpelc" tool and redeploy the process. The BPEL archive "bpel_41030.tmp" may have been generated with an older version of "bpelc"
Can any body help me how to rectify the error in BPEL console.

Did you find any solution? I am having same problem...while compiling it compiles with 1 warning and am able to deploy from jdeveloper not from bpel server.
Warning: TopLink found problems in bpelProccessName. Please ensure that these are corrected before deployment.

I am new to BPEL and learning it using dev guide. i am using JDev 10.1.2.0.0 with OAS.
i build a simple BPEL process which uses a DB adapter for interaction with DB.
My DB tables are not related to each other in any way.
please help for resolving some problem:-
Is it necessary to define relationship for table if i want to use some Select, Insert or say any operation those have run time parameter?
For understanding i, then defined a self relationship of table like 1:1.but while deploying this process i got following error:

Unable to deploy a BPEL process with rules

I created a very simple BPEL process and defined a business Rule in composite, that I call from within my BPEL process.
I am however not able to deploy the project completely successfully.
I am using JDEV 11g to build/deploy my projects on a SOA_Suite_11g. Note that I can deploy a project successfully if it does not have a business rule.

"Too many open files" issue is most likely because of a (few) Sun JDK6 bug(s). These bugs may not even get fixed in JDK6. It could hit at runtime or compile time depending on the number of jar files getting used and/or a few other variations around the use of file descriptors at a time by the JDK/JRE. One can use "lsof -p <pid>" command on Linux and see how the File Descriptors are growing when this issue is seen. E.g. use the pid of junit java process and not the main Ant java process if you want to debug at runtime. For compile time, grep on the compiler process.
Increasing the limit of file descriptors is used as a workaround.
How to increase per-process per-user file descriptor limit on your Linux hosted box:
Using "limit" (csh) or "ulimit" (bash) command find out what is the value of "descriptors". As a root user (use sudo) edit /etc/security/limits.conf file.
Close your x term and re-open (or re-connect your NX client) for this change to take effect. System re-start should not be required. If you are not able to increase the limit for some reason using these steps, try a few other things like re-starting your VNC server (or something similar), re-start your Linux box.

When I attempt to deploy the jar of my BPEL process to a 10.1.2.0 GA mid-tier BPEL instance using the console's "deploy new process" I get the following error message.
The BPEL process works and deploys with no problems on a 10.1.2.0 GA Developer's install (same machine). I have tried deploying it both from JDev and the console after un-deploying it manually. Both of these work fine in the Developers install.

Deploy New BPEL Process
bpel_AddressChangeValidate_2.0.jar failed to deploy.

Figured it out...
The problem was I forgot to copy the FTP connect info
into the midtier FtpAdapter oc4j-ra.xml file.
Is there an out of the box way for low level config
like this to be included in the JAR file?Nope not right now. We are working on what we can do to fix this going forwards in a later release.

console?When going the console route, it goes through an additional deployment time validation check which you were able to bypass by copying the jar directly into the deployment folder.
You may have been hitting a bug in the validation code, otherwise you should have really seen the error message asking you to potentially fix the jndi entry in oc4j-ra.xml.

Invoking webservice through bpel process

Hi, I created a webservice for a java code. I created a simple bpel process to invoke the webservice. Its throwing below error when running the bpel process. I tested the webservice alone. it works fine. Any help is highly apreciated.

I remember this being a bug in 10.1.2.0.2 - as somehow the servlet thinks the call would be for the bpel engine, instead of the webservice endpoint,
so I recommend 2 things .. don/t name the operation default
'http://wtus081806-6:9700/Hrinfo-java_test_1-context-root/default'
and if this does not help, try to set optSOAPShortcut -> false on the BPEL Domain ..

Solution:
Workaround the issue immediately by removing the "ns1:" qualification on the operation for the binding.jca entry in the composite.xml and redeploying.
For example:

I have just started to use JDev and SOA, so I am new to this.
I have created numerous BPEL processes in JDev 11.1.1.5.0 which im trying to deploy to the SOA domain on Weblogic 10.3.4.0 however each time the same error appears:

Instantiation of class in BPEL process

I have a very Strange problem, in my BPEL process I have used java embed Activity. on that activity if I am using Task class. then I am not able to deploy my process. its giving me following message.
when I remove that line then I am able to deploy that process.

I checked the same still no luck. I checked approx all combination.
First I created a SOA-SAR file(jar file) , I extracted it and checked all jar files were there. orabpel.jar and bpm-services.jar and log4j jar. when i deployed that jar file. but it was not working
then I put this in weblogic sever lib. it not worked.

Oracle.j2ee.ws.wsdl.LocalizedWSDLException BPEL process manager

Hello there,
I have created bpel process compiled using JDeveloper and deployed bpel_*.jar file in BPEL process manager.
jar file got deployed without any error. But while navigating to Process/initiate tab of process manager , I am getting following error

I am using three wsdl file and importing , i have added all the wsdls in project. I noticed that while packaging wsdls are not added in jar archive file. All the wsdls are avaiable Application Sources directory of the BPEL project.
How do i package bpel project so that it will include all wsdl file also,
I am new to JDeveloper and BPEL , please help me
