Arrow icons back/forward, where is drop down box?
version 4, I use the back & forward arrows a lot, what happened to the drop down box, where I could go back using the list on the drop down?
much faster than hitting the back icon over and over?
You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

When I have been at a site for a while and decide to go back, when I use the drop down box it has filled with the current page location. The longer I am there the more times it repeats its self.
Did you try Safe Mode?
An extension may be responsible for adding up those entries of the same page.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

I'm recording a software demonstration that includes
drop-down boxes, which I've done for years with Captivate, but I'm
encountering a strange issue I've never seen before. When I look at
the slide itself, everything looks fine, but when I preview the
demonstration, the drop down box appears blank (a white box) for a
second before he box appears. There is no background or image
anywhere in the system, that I can see, of the screen with a white
box where the drop-down box should go.
When I go to preview only that slide (F3), the blank drop
down box appears in the last 1/2 second of the slide, yet it is no
where in the library of graphics. What is going on here?
I've been able to "fix" the issue by adding the bitmap of the
background over the top of the last 1/2 second of the slide, but I
really don't want to have to do that for every demonstration I do
in the future that includes a drop-down box. Does anyone know if
there's a recording setting that might be doing this?Thanks for the advice - I usually try and record more slides
that I need since its easy enough to delete the extras. I've never
encountered this problem before, though. If anything, I'm used to
it recording the white screen that appears in a transition from one
screen to another and I take precautions for that. I've never had a
white box appear prior to a menu opening, though, or had a slide
show "movement" in the background graphic itself. It wouldn't
matter how slow I recorded it - it would still record the last
fraction of a second. It did get the completely rendered image, it
just added a little "interlude" on its own.
I had no idea that captivate recorded layers on the graphics.
When looking at the slide, the white box only appears when I drag
the playhead across the slide, and then only for the last fraction
of the second. Is it possible to edit these in any way? Maybe
"crop" the end of the end that shows the white box? -
It can take a while to go back by hitting the back arrow again and again. The previous version had a drop down box that listed nine or ten previous URLs. This allowed me to pick out which one I wanted by clicking on that URL. Version 4 doesn't have this feature or, if it does, I cannot find it. Is this capability on Version 4, and if so, how can I find it?

somehow I must've clicked a button that took away my drop down box when I go to use my Google search so different sites that I go to a lot I would always just click it when the drop-down box came up I would click again and hit search and you would bring that page up but even if I go to a site once I leave that I try to click and make the drop-down box come up again with the new search and it nothing happens so the problem is I need my drop down box to come back up to all the places that I visit kind of like a history of like I said I would just click and it would come up by itself now the drop-down box won't come up anymore so I need somebody to tell me what to do to bring my drop-down box back also I am new to computers so I don't know a lot so don't be real technical thanks for the help merry Christmas from Joe
It's not a matter of me assuming to restore it, once the error comes up, the only next step I can do is to restore it. I can't access any of the iphones settings in itunes or anything, it's a mandatory restore. If I just cancel the sync (before restoring) and disconnect the phone, all my apps crash on opening: aka unusable phone. So I have literally no choice but to restore every time the error shows up if I want my phone to work.
I have no idea where I may have duplicate files as it doesn't tell me, so if that is the problem (which I don't think it is) then I don't know where I have to go to delete the duplicates.
And the duplicate file error still doesn't explain why leaving iTunes to restore the phone doesn't work and me having to drag the window around. I know it sounds utterly ridiculous, my friend didn't believe me when I told him either but then I showed him and he was as confused as I am. If I just leave the restore to do its own thing at it's own pace, it will loa maybe 20% then fail for whatever reason. -
What is forwarded when " as in-line text" is selected in the drop-down box for forwarding a message. i.e. are attachments forwarded with the message or not?
Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.

Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Paste into the search field in the Keychain Access window by clicking in it and pressing the key combination command-V. An item may appear in the list of keychain items. The Name will begin with string you searched for, and the Kind will be "certificate."
Delete the item by selecting it and pressing the delete key. It will be recreated automatically the next time you launch the Messages or FaceTime application.
The next time you visit a site that prompts for an optional client certificate, cancel out of the prompt. You may have to do this several times before the server stops asking.

I have two faults! 1, an error comes up in Ps CC 2014 "could not apply the saved panel configuration, restring to default and my tools have disappeared completely and anything ive tried I cannot get them back not even the drop down menu in 'window' helps at all. And 2, Lr everytime I load it up it gives me the option to retry or switch to and it takes a while for me to even get anywhere with it I think it has something to do with the catalogs? I've been using these programs for a few years now on a Mac...no problem but when I use a PC when I'm away coz it's the (only) comp available these happen PC's are so useless! I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

Linking TextFields to Drop Down Boxes and selections back to subforms
I suppose I have two separate questions here.
#1 - I would like to have a drop down box auto populate based on a text field in a repeating sub-form.
For instance, I have a "Loan Info Subform" with the loan number text field on it that can be repeated on the same form and I have a "collateral subform" where I would like to have the choice of which loan number within the form the collateral belongs to.
Is this possible?
And if so, question #2
I have a "FairMarket Value of Collateral" decimal field on the Collateral Subform that I would like to autopopulate back into the proper Loan Info Subform, based upon the choice in the drop down list.

How do I move where a drop-down hotspot's content displays?
I would like to know if there is an easy way to move where a drop-down hotspot's content displays.
Here's an example:

I'm using the [+] as my hotspot before the step like I show above, but when I do that, the screen capture that is almost always my drop-down content displays right after and under the colon in the step, pushing the bullet points below the screen capture when the user clicks the [+]. I would like to leave the hotspot where it is, and have the screen capture display beneath the bullet points.
I can do this by manually moving the code in the HTML view, but it's kind of a pain in the neck to go searching for the code then having to cut/paste it in exactly the right spot.

A dropdown is always placed at the end of the paragraph that holds the hotspot link. There’s no way to control this behaviour other then going into the HTML.

Hi, I have enabled write back in OBIEE 11g dashboard. I would like to know if it is possible to create a drop down box within the write-back enabled column?
I realize this is a very old thread, but I was hoping there was a way to do this.
I would like to enable write-back to an a table we use to track running processes. I would like to be able to update the status to either 'COMPLETE' or 'INCOMPLETE'. The programs can change theses statuses to anything meaningful, but I only want those two values as options for write-back.
Is this even possible? -
Using Mac 0S X Yosemite, in Print Setting when I select layout / arrows select print settings / there is no Basic drop down box to set color management on or off. I'm using Artisan 835 printer.
No - I got the iMac 27 because it was calibrated at the factory(?) and was highly recommended by friends and photographers. No complaints at all, but this printer issue is driving me crazy. I was thinking that if I upgraded to an epson pro printer ICC profile will be on there website. I can't find any for the 835. By the way I didn't calibrate the old dell monitor either and I have had several photos published with no problem at all. Just a note, on epson website there are no printer stating they will run with 10.10 Yosemite. I was looking at the R2000 series. Right now I editing photos that I have to have ready by Jan, maybe by then epson will have something ready.

I've been having difficulties with mail on my Mac and have checked all the settings. I have three mail accounts, 2 iClouds (different acct names) and 1 bigpond account.
Whenever I change the outgoing mail server drop down boxes for the iCloud accts and save my changes, I go out of it then when I go back to the iCloud accts the drop down boxes for both iCloud accounts have reverted back to 'None'.
Is this of any relevance? Is it 'normal'?
I've tried deleting all mail accounts and adding them all again but the same thing still happens.
I have been on Apple Support and followed the Mail Acct setup tutorial.

Because I'd been having problems which had recently been resolved by AppleCare Support I decided to go through all my accounts and check their individual settings. I found a Tutorial on Apple support for setting up or verifying email account settings and found mine were different so I changed it.
In any event I took your advice and just went with the option of automatically setting the iCloud accounts up and I haven't had anymore problems thus far - fingers crossed.
I do however note that my drop down box in account settings still says 'none' for the outgoing mail server and the 'use this server only' check box isn't ticked despite being ticked in the 'verify account' info on the tutorial, so hence my question to the community - did this matter and what was the difference?
I will let sleeping dogs lie I think and will see how I go.
