Free Items with $0.00 price from Catalog

Hello SRM Guru's,
SRM 5.0, server 5.5, classic scenario.
I have a requirement to create Purchase Orders for supplier catalog itms in SC with $0.00. Currently, I have a split order whereby item's with price greater than or equals to $0.01 creates purchase orders and items in the same SC with $0.00 create requisitions.
I will like to know the procedure to create a single PO for a shopping with catalog items and pricing of $0.00.

Hi Wale,
Uncheck IR (Invoice Receipt) indicator for all your zero-priced items before creating PO. You can do it in a BAdI. Refer to following thread:

Update Unit Price from Catalog

Hello,
We have a external catalog wich contain some products with scale prices, so when one of these products are added to a SC, initially its transferred from the catalog with the right price considering the scale price.
But if the quantity of the item is changed in the SC, than the unit price does not change according to the scale price in the catalog.
Is there some automatic check in place for this kind of situation ?
Is there some way to sincronize the prices from the catalog with the prices in SC while changing the SC ?

Thumb Rule - You should not change the quantity and price for items brought via External catalog.
There is no automatic sync as a catalog item is session based. Once the item is brought back to SRM the hook URL is lost.

Delivery is pulling items with different delivery dates from sales order

hi all,
i have a sales order with two line items with different delivery dates(eg 1st and 21st). material availability date for them is different. when i tried to create the delivery on 1st it is pulling the 2nd item whose delivery date is on 21st.
where can i control this.

Hi,
let us take one example>materials A and B,
A delivery date is 22.01.2008(maintained in schedule lines in SO)
B delivery date is 30.01.2008(maintained in schedule lines in SO)
now i want to deliver material A on 22.01.2008
by default system will give you only material A in the item line
material B will not be displaced in the second line item
now i want to deliver material B on 30.01.2008
by default system will show me material B in delivery line item
if in case material A is not delivered then delivery will show you two line items
i.e., Material A and B
i think you have understood the difference

Hi,
For free goods you can enter the Octroi/Entry tax, freight, Insurance at the Header conditions, System will not take at the item level as the Material is considered as Free goods.
At PO header level conditions system will consider these charges and will be applicable to complete PO not as single item.

Import List Items with Managed Metadata Field from CSV File

I try to import list items from a CSV File. Most of the fields are populating correctly except the Managed Metadata Field. I found multiple examples on how to set Managed Metadata Fields with Powersehll, but unfortunately I couldnt get it running.
The CSV File holds values for the Metadata Column, this value should be checked against the Metadata in the Termstore. If this Term is existent, then it should set the fields value, if it is not existant then it should add the term from the CSV File to the
Term Set in the Term Store. Can anybody give me a tip on how to do this? This is what I have, where Line 4 holds the Metadata:

From your description, when importing list from csv to SharePoint site, you would like to compare if Managed Metadata column exists in term store, and return yes value, if not, add it to term store.
That might need script to achieve. You need to import list at first, then get value from term store, and compare with the list. Change the list field per comparison result, then add new value to term store.
However, there might some workaround to meet your requirement. Not surly understand, so I find some references for you:

Apps that say free but with a subscription price added?

When you have an App such as a magazine, or news like The New York Times with a monthly subscription. When you download the app for free are you getting charged for that monthly fee without knowing it? I ask because the app says free download but is not so clear on if you subscribed on a monthly subscription. So is the buyer being fooled or is it really free?

The item price transferred from catalog cannot be changed in SC

Hi Team,
In Shopping cart for catalog item with price as zero(which are selected form catalog ),The Price field is editable so if we change the price from zero to
other value and when we click on order the below shown error is populating.
And also the below mentioned sap notes are implemented for the solution
Please help so that we can change the price form zero to other value. SRM 7.0 Support pack 8

Hi Padmasai,
This is the standard behavior if you have the checkbox "Activate SC Item Price Check From Catalog"
active for your catalog web service definition.
When this checkbox is active system will always check for price change and will not be allowed to change the price from catalog.

Enter rate / EUR rate type M - Replace item with MDM 3.0 catalog item

Hello,
Up on importing a requested item with an MDM 3.0 catalog item via the 'replace with calog item' functionality we're getting the following error:
Enter rate / EUR rate type M for dd.mm.yyyy in system settings
The from and to currency are both EUR. I first of all don't get it why anything related to exchange rates is happening here.
Edit: I've investigated the problem a little more and it seems like the MDM currency mapping is not correctly set-up. The currency value maintained in MDM seems not to be taken into account when importing to SRM.
Anybody knows how to (pre-)view the OCI mappings from MDM > SRM?

I knew and had already checked that place. But what I actually ment is how can i see the MDM filling for f.e. NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY. I would like to know whether MDM is actually providing the NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY.
The field NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY for our repository is mapped with Price Information-Currency. This should suffice but it isn't.
I've tested the following: defaulting my users Local Currency to USD instead of EUR in the PPOMA_BBP attribute -> add MDM catalogi item in SC -> Currency is USD. While MDM currency is EUR. It's not mapped/read..
The field Price Information-Currency in MDM Data Manager contains as far as i can see value: EUR.

Price from MDM is not transferred to shopping cart in EBP

Hi all,
we are implementing MDM 2.0/SP2 for SRM. Actually the catalog content is fully available, the only problem is that I don't get the price from catalog into shopping cart via OCI. When I browse through catalog coming from EBP every price in MDM-shopping cart (WEB UI) is displayed correctly. When I transfer the articles from MDM-shopping cart to EBP every field is transferred correctly except price. When I test with Fiddler I also don't see price coming in, and I also don't see any system message in system log SLG1 of EBP.
These are my settings:
Price in MDM data manger like:
     Price Information: 1| |AVL Graz|12.14| Euro
OCI:
NEW_ITEM-PRICE            Price Information -Amount (not transferred)
NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY    Price Information - Currency (transferred correctly)
NEW_ITEM-PRICEUNIT     Price Information - Price Base Quantity (transferred correctly)
Did you guys have a similar problem before?

As specified by u can see items with their prices in the Data Manager as well as in the Shopping cart but not on EBP side.
These were the settings u had specified:
OCI Mappings:
NEW_ITEM-PRICE Price Information -Amount (not transferred)
NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY Price Information - Currency (transferred correctly)
NEW_ITEM-PRICEUNIT Price Information - Price Base Quantity (transferred correctly)
Please do check wether the items which u r purchasing is having all the values populated.
Bcoz as given u havnt specified Orderunit field and Minimum Quantity UOM.
As per my understanding to purchase any item, and take it onto the EBP side with its price the Orderunit field must be populated with Unit of Measure.
After inserting values in Order unit and Minimum Quantity UOM then go and check wether its price is taken from the Shopping cart to the EBP.
Please check it will work

Wrong Currency coming from catalog to shopping cart

Hello All ,
We are facing a strange problem while creating a SC in SRM , catalog item is maintained with PLN as currency , user default and vendor currency is also PLN. But when item is transferred to SC from catalog it is getting as EUR.
I tried to debug the issue and found that the data which is coming from catalog itself contains EUR . But catalog is maintained with PLN.
FM TS_UPLOAD_CONTEXT_EXT is getting called with destination SAPGUI which is returning the data.
But I am not able to find this FM in SRM system. Please let us know how can we proceed with the analysis to find the root cause

Hello Anil,
What is your SRM release ?
In SRM 7.0, price conditions and item currency is the one from material catalog. But at header level (total value), currency is the one defined as local (attribute 'CUR' in 'Attributes' tab from PPOSA_BBP transaction).
Don't remember if this is the correct behavior (but this is the one i have on my system) and if it is equivalent for lower releases.

Consignment Stock - Free Items - MM

Dear All,
Regarding consignment stock from vendor and handling free items with existing current stock.
We have 100 pcs consignment stock from vendor A.
As this stock issued time to time based on requirement and paid to vendor for the utilized quantity, now want to handle the below process.
Consignment stock : 100 pcs.
As per the vendor current offer - every 10 pcs 1 pc free. Now we have 100 pcs, so if we consider 90 pcs issued and rest 10 pcs as free - how to handle this in MM inventory and pay amount for 90 pcs only to vendor and remaining 10 pcs as free.
PR - PO - GRN created for 100 pcs earlier.
Please suggest the procedure to handle this in system.

How to Process Free Items in SD

Hi,
Our scenario is like this.
We get free merchandise from our supplier. That free merchandise will be included in our inventory thus affecting the Moving Average Price of that item.We also sell the free merchandise to our customer thru SD.
Now we will be having a promo. Those free items that we are getting from our supplier which has already been included in our inventory will be given out as a free item. If we are going to process this thru regular SD processing, there will be recording of cost of sales, sales and output tax. Which should not be the case since those are free items.
Is there a way to process this?

I am sure, you would be maintaining a different material type for this. So go to OMS2, select that material type and double click on "Quantity/value updation". Now again select the plant and material type and untick the box under "Value Update" and save.
Now your inventory value will not affect in anyway when you inward the material.

Items with zero stock quantity show negative stock value in Stock reports

When running Stock reports for controlling the stock value towards the GL accounts, some items appear with zero stock quantity, but the report still shows a stock value (negative value in my case)
How can this happen, and how can I correct this situation ?
System parameters are : negative stock is not allowed, Items with zero cost price not allowed. On item level average cost price method is used.

Hi Johnsen,
I believe you have checked the" Manage Inventory by warehouse". I have noticed this issue in SAP B1 2005B but this is rectified in 2007B. The system behaves in this way as the system maintains item cost for the item for all warehouses and even if the stock is not present in the warehouse, the system would still show you a value for the same. Shipment of Free Item alongwith Parent Item (STO,Warehouse Picking and PGI)

In Retail industries Vendor/Company promote offers to customer free items along with Saleable Product so increase footfalls and basket value. In case there is free item with parent item, PO will be created accordingly as free item. Is there any standard method so that for certain period while creating STO/Picking/PGI when we select Parent Item automatically Free Item should be added and picking document contains the free item to pick.

By changing storage location you could do b'coz the new storage location is not maintained with warehouse, hence no need to perform warehouse transactions (TO creation and confirmation) before inventory mgmt transactions (PGI).
For trying pick up with WH, first u should have enough stocks in approppriate storage bins and u should perform pick up by creation of TO and confirmation.
