Article is unable to create

Hi Frnds,
Initially I have uploaded all the articles externally through one custom upload program, in that time, no. range of article was defined external assignment. Approx 2 Lacs articles got uploaded. Now I have changed the number range assignment from external to internal and also updated current number status with the last generated article number from list.
Now I am able to use MM41 t.code to create article master and system is taking article number internally. Once I save the MM41 t.code then getting message "article is created".
When I am displaying/changing the same article which is created through MM43/MM42 then getting error message "The Article XXXXXX does not exist or is not activated".
Please help me...why i am getting error message.

I may wrong but thinking in this way to fix the issue, explain below in details, please advise!
1. Suppose my article number range was 1000001       9999999 (EXT)  (GROUP1)
I have uploaded articles through external program by using template and so far  article number 1077924 got created. There is 99% chance that few numbers withing this range have not been used due to some error.
2. Now I have made this number range 1000001        9999999 (INT) (GROUP1) and updated current number 1077924 whereas buffer is 10
Then if i try to create any article through MM41 then system is creating article (say 1077925) with ref. to system message which is showing during final save of creation of article master. But as soon as i am going to use MM43/MM42 for this article then getting error message "article 1077925 does not exist or is not activated".
3. If I skip 2 step and follow the below steps
Create a new group GROUP2 and define number range 1077925  -  9999999 (INT)
and assign all the article types which are currently assigned to GROUP1.
Then I will create an article through MM41 then hopefully system will create and update articles in master data tables.

  • Unable to Load Database/Unable to create database.

    RoboHelp 6.0 on my PC is suddenly unable to open existing
    projects or create new ones. The problem is not in the projects, as
    other people can unzip the same set of files and open them with
    RoboHelp on their PCs.
    The Details:
    When attempting to open an existing project (any project
    whether in version control or not), I get the message " Open
    project was cancelled or the application was unable to load
    database for..."
    I found the article that says to delete the CPD and XPJ files
    and then to use the Edit option to open the HHP file so that
    RoboHelp will recreate the two files. When I try that, I get the
    message "Unable to create database. Check that the directory is not
    read-only." It's
    not read-only.
    When I attempt to create a new project, the application acts
    like it is going to create one, but it just creates a project
    folder without the new first topic and then repeats the New Project
    Wizard window that prompts for title, etc. It will keep creating
    folders and returning to this window in a loop without ever really
    creating a project.
    RoboSource Control is functioning normally, by the way.
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled RH 6 several times, and
    have even uninstalled RH 6 and installed to RH 5 just to see if it
    could open projects, which it does with no problems. After that
    test, I uninstalled RH 5 and reinstalled RH 6, only to encounter
    the same problem all over again.
    This started happening after I uninstalled other unrelated
    software and received a message that some Service Pack 2 files had
    been changed and prompting me to insert the Service Pack 2 CD,
    which I don't have. This is because our IT department pre-builds
    our systems from an image and then distributes job-specific
    applications over the network. IT tried repairing Service Pack 2,
    but that didn't work. I'd like to uninstall and reinstall Service
    Pack 2, but the IT person says it's too risky on a system that was
    built from an image.
    We would like to find out
    which files RoboHelp is looking for when it launches a
    project so we can replace those files manually. Does anyone
    know what they are or have another suggestion that might fix the
    problem?
    Otherwise, I am stuck having to allow IT to rebuild my
    system. That means reinstalling and reconfiguring everything on it,
    just as if I were upgrading to a new PC. This can take a whole work
    week. However, I have already spent close to a work week on this
    problem, so maybe rebuilding would save time in the long
    run.

    Problem Resolution = HHA.dll
    For anyone who might be interested in the resolution to this
    issue, we did rebuild my PC and reinstall all of my software. The
    RoboHelp installation "complained" that I did not have HTML Help
    Workshop on my system and told me to download version 1.4 from
    Microsoft. I did have HTML Help Workshop..it's in my programs list.
    (It's not listed in programs on my co-workers' PCs, and they were
    not having problems, by the way.) But to make RH happy, I
    uninstalled the workshop and tried to install the version from
    Microsoft. But a message informed me that I already had a newer
    version of the workshop on my system, and I was back where I
    started. I could open projects, but there were weird problems.
    Selecting Topic Properties was met with an error message, and when
    the properties window opened, I could only see whatever template
    was assigned (or none if the topic had lost its template), and
    there was an extra section for Oracle help.
    So I started dinking around in the registry to see if I could
    get rid of any traces of the workshop so I could install the
    version RH wanted or to find any other clues to my problem. Under
    HTMLHelpAuthor, there was a reference to an HHA.dll file located in
    C:\WINDOWS\system32...only the file did not exist on my system.
    (Remember that my original problem was that some Service Pack 2
    files were either modified or missing.) So I did a Google search on
    that file name and found out that HTML Help Workshop is included in
    newer Windows operating systems, but that people used to have to
    get HTML Help Workshop from Microsoft, and that some people had
    made the mistake of just putting the HHA.dll file into the
    C:WINDOWS\system32 folder without also installing HTML Help
    Workshop. At this point it was obvious that I needed the HHA.dll,
    so I got it from a co-worker's PC. (Looking at the registry
    entries, I can also see that my system was built with a slightly
    different version of the operating system than my co-workers have.)
    Adding the HHA file to my system solved the problem. All
    projects but one were fine; one was still exhibiting the strange
    behavior. I fixed it by going back to the RoboHelp 5 version of the
    project and re-converting it to RoboHelp 6.
    I suspect that if I had known about the HHA.dll file before
    we rebuilt the PC, I could have solved the problem without going
    through that painful process. That is why I thought I should post
    the solution even though it was after the rebuild.

    I am unable to create a PivotChart from the PowerPivot window. It does not create a Chart# sheet nor does it appear as a PivotChart on the PivotTable worksheet in Excel. There is not even a PivotChart grid and Field List to create the PivotChart from.

  • Unable to create a book in iphoto '08

    I am unable to create a book in iphoto '08. When i click on the book icon down the bottom and choose a type of book then click on 'choose' nothing happens.

    1 - delete the current application (just got to applications and delete it? What happens to the photo library??)
    Nothing - reinstalling will not effect it
    BUT as always when doing installations and upgraded - and at all other times too - you mush have a good, tested, current backup of your system including the iPhoto library - stuff does happen
    5 - boot into the system disk that came with your computer and do a custom install selecting only iPhoto (is this the OS install disc? I have a disc 1 and disc 2) or can I do this from my iLife '08 software?
    If you have purchased iLife '08 then you will use the iLife disk to install iPhoto - if you are installing the one that came with your computer you will use the restore disks that came with your system - do a custom install and install bundled software only - or click here for the MacWorld article on this subject.

  • Unable to create restore disk image with Disk Utility

    I've tried three times in order to create a restore image of the users' volume of my Powerbook. I followed exactly the procedure explained typing "man asr" in a terminal window. I booted the Powerbook in target disk mode while connected to my iMac G5 from which Disk utility was run. Every time the disk image creation failed with a log report like this:

    I don't know how my imported music could create such a problem to Disk utility, nevertheless I removed the incriminated song from the Music library but another one raised to be not accessible. Then I booted the powerbook from the supplied Tiger DVD too, and I got an error over the music file, something about an allocation that was 190 instead of 1, I got the volume repaired from Disk utility but the Disk image creation failed again without any hint because booting from DVD does not allow to save log file anywhere. Why on Earth I can't manage such a critical task as back up under Tiger while using Panther everything worked like a charm following the same procedure? Is anyone experiencing something similar?

    Hi Lee, thank you for your answer, indeed I've just read carefully your article few hours ago, while I googled the net to find some hints on my issue. I think that I've followed exactly the right procedure to make the back up image, and can't find what is wrong. Actually Disk utility Repair disk successfully repaired the allocation bit (whatever that means) of the music files but that wasn't enough to let the creation of the disk image. Quite odd that the music files where recognized as messed up by Disk utility only booting from Tiger DVD and not while the Powerbook was connected to an iMac running Tiger too.
    I'll do further investigation during weekend.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate isn't installing on my iMac. Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition

    I have a 21.5" iMac (Late 2012) running OS X Mavericks. I'm trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate via Bootcamp but whenever i get to the setup part it goes wrong
    These are the steps I followed
    I selected all the options since I didn't have the drivers or an install disk
    it copied the Windows 7 iso image, downloaded the support software, and saved the support software to the flash drive (8GB)
    I selected a partition size - I gave windows roughly 100GB
    and I let it install
    Right now I'm at the part where it says " where do you want to install windows? I selected the bootcamp partition and formatted it. It now says
    "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information"
    WHAT DO I DO?

    I had to read the apple instructions several times before they started to make sense.  I burned my iso onto a DVD and had the required USB for support software.  Are you trying to use the single USB method?

  • Unable To Create and/or Rename Folders on DFS Shares

    We have a Windows 2008 Storage Server that we use as a data server. About 100 folders are shared on our network and we use DFS to collect these shares into manageable shared units.
    The network comprises 35 Windows 7 clients and one Vista client and a couple of XP machines. These are on a Windows Active Directory that presently comprises three domain controllers: 2003, 2008 and 2012 R2. The network comprises just one site and one subnet.
    This setup has worked fine for many years (we've had an Active Directory domain since 2001).
    As soon as I replaced our Windows XP clients with the Windows 7 clients I have been seeing some strange network issues.
    The most bizarre, and the most unwelcome is that when staff try to create new folders or rename existing ones they will sometimes not be allowed to. The problem is intermittent and I have no idea what may be causing it.
    The folder rename issue was encountered when we still used XP but I fixed that by disabling the caching of thumbnails. The error message that appears states the folder is in use. I have used Computer Management on the storage server and looked at Shared
    Folders > Open Files and have determined that no files were open when this issue occurred.
    When staff are unable to create a new folder they see the following message:
    I have tried various things to troubleshoot this with the help of a TechNet Community Support person in the Windows 7 forums
    here.
    To summarise we have tried using Process Monitor to capture the events and I am quite happy to upload this if anyone would like to see it.
    We tried the registry edits detailed in
    this MS article.
    I have created a dedicated firewall rule that allows all traffic on TCP ports 137, 138, 139 and 445.
    Another respondent suggested checking out Slow-Link mode but this has not been triggered.
    Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this, please? The network worked like a dream before the Windows 7 clients were introduced, when XP was used.

    As you just upgarded to Windows 7, please make sure SP1 is also installed on all systems and install the following hotfix rollup for Windows 7 SP1:

    There was a known issue on Windows 7 which affected shared folders, that newly created or deleted files are not reflect in network folder immediately, which seems similar to your error. If issue still exists after SP1 and hotfix rollup please help confirm:
    1. If this issue occurs only on DFS folder in accessing with \\domain.com\namespace. Could you reproduce the same issue in accessing \\server\sharefolder?
    2. Will the same issue occurs after disabling Offline Files if it is enabled.

  • Unable to create a Site Content in Web Page Composer

    I am new to WPC and would like to explore more on the same. I tried following some blogs inorder to create and publish Web Pages.
    I was stuck at a point where we need to create a site content. I guess all the permissions required to access each folder is properly set.
    When I tried to create a content like for example an article... A window pops up which says please select a document type and I dont have any option to select whereas I have a cancel and next button at the bottom of the screen. When I click next nothing happens.
    Did anyone went through this issue? What am I doing wrong? Did I fail to set some role to the author creating content?? Author has wpc_editor_role though.

    The popup window (which I suppose is an XML Editor) doesnt have any UI Element to select when I try to create any content... may it be an Article, Linklist, etc...
    I am using WAS 2004S SP 14. As I mentioned, all the xml and xsl files are available in the folder and even in the KM Configuration.
    My problem is, I am unable to create a content as the popup window is blank... No UI Element to select or enter.

  • Unable to create filesystem (mkfs.ext4) 2TB CentOS 6.5 VM

    All, We have been having trouble creating disk volumes larger than 2TB on CentOS machines in our lab environment that consists of Hyper-V 2012 R2.
    Today we came a step closer with the help of

    This has created a mountable logical volume, however it only registers as 2TB, rather than the actual size of 4TB. I notice the article is over a year old. Has there been any fixes?
    The alternative would be multiple 2TB drives..

    As part of the product team that does Linux on Hyper-V, we've recently spent some time investigating this problem.  It occurs because Linux issues a SCSI "WRITE_SAME(16)" command, which is not implemented by Hyper-V.  WRITE_SAME(16) is optional
    in the SCSI spec, so it's OK that Hyper-V doesn't implement it, but the problem is that Hyper-V doesn't return the correct error code and sense info to indicate that it's unimplemented.  With the correct error code from Hyper-V, Linux would use alternate
    SCSI commands and everything would work.
    We're looking into possible fixes.  Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we can have an update on what to expect.
    We believe Ubuntu 14.04 actually works correctly on Hyper-V due to a complicated set of other reasons.  RHEL 7.0 does not work, and the other file system types don't typically avoid the problem either.

    Hi. I am attempting to export all of my videos from iPhoto onto an external drive. I have read several articles in this community, but so far my problem has not been solved. I keep getting the error message "Unable to /create/volumes/Lisa's Prtable Drive..." when I attempt to export. I have experimented with changing batch names, selecting fewer movies to export, etc. I AM able to export one video at a time, but I have 719 videos to move, and would much rather do them all at once.

    Some font issues come from one or more damaged fonts.

    My applet tries to write a temp file

    }But when I run, it throws an exception:
    java.lang.SecurityException: Unable to create temporary file
    I tried to sign the applet, as to http://www.developer.com/java/data/article.php/3303561 but it's still the same.
    There's another way: using java.policy,
    grant {
      permission java.security.AllPermission;
    };but it seems to be not very gentle. Could you show me the solution please? Thanks in advance.

    Yes, that's what I found. Here is the summary to do it, hope it helps someone else:
    1. Create key for signed jar:
    keytool -genkey -keystore abc.com -keyalg rsa -dname "CN=Abc, OU=Def, O=GHI, L=KLMN, ST=OP, C=XY" -alias TheCert -validity 3600 -keypass password -storepass password2. Make jar file
    3. Sign the jar file
    jarsigner -keystore abc.com -storepass password -keypass password -signedjar SignedAppletTest.jar OrgAppletTest.jar TheCertIt works for me.

  • Export fails w/ message "Unable to create pathToSpecifiedExportFolder "

    Trying to export the iPhoto library to a folder on the local Macintosh drive, preparatory to burning a DVD from that folder. After specifying file type jpeg, Full Size, use Filename, use Exension, and clicking Export, the process fails with error message "Exporting... Unable to create Users/gliderguider/Pictures/PhotoBkup2007" or whatever the specified path was.
    I've tried opening up permissions on all elements of the path specified to 777. What am I doing wrong?
    BTW, I understand there is an easier way to back up the library to DVD, this was intendended to produce a DVD for wife to use on her Dell Wintel machine. I hope I can get this to work and preserve the marital peace

    Is it a common experience to follow the OS X Help articles' instructions explicitly and have the process described fail?
    Not in my experience. Though I will pop in the caveat: when it has gone wrong for me, the problem is usually me not quite following the instructions as explicitly as I first thought. But then I have the same problem assembling kits etc. Sometimes there are issues with terminology too.
    As I alluded in the original post, I used the "Get Info" dialog to recursively change permissions for owner, group, and all to RW, for the path to the target directory. Is there a bug in "Get Info" that prevents this from working?
    None that I know of, but it's fairly easy to make a mistake doing it with the Get Info window, that's all.
    What is the "unlock" parameter and how does this differ from permissions?
    This is a hold over from OS 9 days, it simply means that you can use the Get Info window to lock a file - make it uneditable. I'm not sure how it differs from permissions, but it does.
    How did you get the screen shot of BatChmod?
    Well, first off, it's not mine but Old Toad's. He's the senior (though youthful!) poster round here. Have a look at the Help - when you use the Help on any app it along the menu bar is the Library listing. Go to Mac Help and type in Screen Shot.

    Unable to create a report in bi publisher. When we tried to create a report abcd, then it is giving the below error.
    Operation failed: /abcd/abcd.xdo.
    When we tried to create a report with the existing name, it is saying
    An object with the same name already exists: /crm/crm.xdo
    I can say this is not any permissions problem, I have logged inwith Administrator user.

    Does someone knows how to avoid the message "Unable to create report. Query produced too many results" in Grid Report Type in PerformancePoint 2010. When the mdx query returns large amount of data, this message appears. Is there a way to get all
    the large amount in the grid anyway?
