[AS] getting valure of color

Hi
how would I go about getting the value of a color?
I have tried the below but it errrors "Adobe InDesign CS3 got an error: Invalid parameter."

Your original was probably better, with the word color omitted before the reference:
(get value of _Colour1) --as string

How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

Hmmm, I wonder if that window is hidden or off screen? Have you moved the pic window around to look under it?
Might try this...
Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...

PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

Can I get back the color control bar?

After a 5 hour download and install, the most noticeable change is that Apple changed the left-hand side control bar from colored to all gray.
Frankly, I've been very disappointed with Apple's design changes lately, and this one is another example, although, I love the new translucent trash can. I've figured out work-arounds to many of the changes I find most offensive (e.g. my folders are no longer Yosemite-native neon blue.)
Is there a way to get back the colors on the left-hand side control bar in iPhoto?
I don't mind digging through hidden folders and re-building the icons so that my interface looks good again. Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you want to restore the color to the Finder's sidebar give the open source application cDock a try. You can change the Dock's background scheme (I use transparent) and add color icons to the Finder's sidebar:

How to get the "CMYK" Color percentages?

Could you please advise me how to get the "CMYK" Color percentages of every pixel via scripting.

You have to be patched to the 10.0.2 version of FM and you must use the CMYK option with SaveAsPDF. If thee colour is defined as Spot in the FM file, it should remain as a spot colour in th PDF. However, that being said, the CMYK route is still a bit wonky (even in FM12) and you may get odd results in your PDF.
Alternatives are to make the fix in Acrobat with the Print Production tools (or even better to use a third-party tool like Enfocus Pro) or to use GrafikHuset's (now freebie) PubliPDF to convert FM's RGB postscript output to CMYK+Spot PDFs. Getting Used Spot Colors in a Color Legend on MAC JS or Applescript

Hello again:
I've been looking around for a script that will take the used spot colors in a document and place them in a predetermined spot. I've came across several posts about this, such as the COLOR CHIPPER although I think it's focus was on swatches, but it's kind of confusing me. What is confusing is the part of making New CMYKColor or RGB or if I even need to do that. I've looked at other posts and the Adobe docs, but none seem to help. Adding the text isn't difficult, it's getting these spot colors to reflect what's in the document that is. From what I'm seeing now:
I may have to use some other type of script such as Applescript to get rid of unused swatches first throught the actions panel, but I'm not sure.
I could possibly use the getByName method to call out the specific rectangle and the and relative callout with the appropriate color instead of having to position everytime.
I'm going to keep working on it, but if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I was able to download the Creative cloud but my Mac won't open the download. All I get is the color wheel...What should I do?

I paid for the student creative cloud and was able to download the actual software but my Mac will not open the installer for the cloud. I click on the download (which is the installer) and all I get is the color wheel that shows that it's having issues completing the task. The "Finder" also says that it is not responding while trying to open the download. Any suggestions on how to get the installer open?
