As instructed by Revel, my photos were archived. Where did they go?

I went through the process of archiving my photos, as instructed by REVEL. Where are they? How do I find them?

you should have seen this screen. It looks like the default is your desktop in a folder called pscom_library

I still have over 1600 pictures on my phone that are there, only the ones taken from this device are missing. Where did they go when I syned my phone? I can't find them in my iTunes.

You should be importing all pics taken with iphone to your computer regularly, particularly before any update, restore, etc.
If for some reason you have failed to do this, tehn they are very likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

IPhoto 6 "found" old photos - where did they come from?

When I opened iPhoto 6 for the first time, it updated my iPhoto library just fine. In the process a dialog opened saying it found 134 photos from somewhere, and asked if I wanted to import them. When I said YES, it created a new album and imported those 134 photos into it.
The photos ended up being old photos (2-4 years old) that I thought I had deleted a long time ago, many of my ex-wife during holidays and a vacation 3 years ago! Where did they come from? Needless to say, my new fiancee wondered why I had old photos of the ex! I thiought they were gone.
I used Spotlight to search for "IMG_0...) and found many old photos I had deleted! I do not have an old iPhoto libraray on my PowerBook G4, but the photos were still there in folders, deep inside iPhotos filing system. I deleted all the ones I needed to, all by hand within the Finder.
What happened?

I had well over 2,000 photos recovered... Also ranging from 5 years old to this past month.
There was no clear answer but the photos were recovered in large chunks (300 from December, 400 from March, 600 from January, etc...)..
The entire time I has iPhoto 5, it never worked properly (always crashed) so a lot of these photos clearly were photos not properly saved in iPhoto 5.
However, I don't see them in my main library. How do I move them from recovered to the Library?

Imported digital photos from my camera to iphoto. For the first time ever they have disappeared. Where did they go?

Iphoto '11 in an imac OS 10.7.5. I have done this transferring from my camera hundreds of time to my imac. I have always selected delete photos from my camera and this is the first time in 7 years that this has happened. When i went back to iphoto the next morning there were not any of my photos there. Welcome to the Apple Community.
Backing up does not transfer your photos to your computer, if you don't want to enable photo stream, you will need to transfer your photos when your device is connected to your computer using iTunes.

After Mavericks reinstall, I copied iPhoto library over, but now photos missing? Where are they hiding or how do I recover them?

I was told by Genius?Bar to reinstall Mavericks and avoid using Migration Assistant, but rather manually copy over my data because of ongoing issues. I have a newer version of iPhoto now (9.5.1, not sure the previous version). I copied the iPhoto Library from the Pictures folder of my Time Machine backup. I want to keep all the folders, albums, keywords, etc. Now, several photos are missing and showing an exclamation mark, however the folders they were in are still there. I tried rebuilding the database and had no luck with that. I still have the Time Machine back up, but no idea where the missing photos are if they aren't in the iPhoto Library file. Most of the photos were imported from an iPhone and iPad, so not sure if there is a default location they would save to other than iPhoto Library? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Photos on 30 GB Video iPod - where did they go?

I had 1200 photos on my iPod - now I have 32. I connected my iPod to my new iMac - where did the rest of my photos disappear too? HELP!!! Originally they were on another PC not a Mac. My other PC died.

Thanks for the input. I lost 1200 photos then I hope I put them on a disk somewhere. Otherwise, I am up the creek w/o a paddle. (sigh).

Do you still see your photos, when you launch iPhoto and not Photos?
Where did you keep your iPhoto Library? In your Pictures folder, as is the default? Or on an external drive?
Look in the folder with your iPhoto Library.
You should be seeing two libraries, if you already let Photos upgrade the iPhoto Library:
Your iPhoto Library, now called .migratedphotolibrary
and the new Photos library:
are the libraries there? and how large are they?

Basic Shapes - there were more in Cap 6 - where did they go?

I recently upgraded from Captivate 6 to Captivate 8. In Captivate 6 there were a lot of choices for smart shapes (the star shaped icon) including basic shapes, arrows, buttons, banners, Math. My favorite shape was square box with an arrow to the side so I could include text and point to something at the same time. Where did these options go?
I tried to copy the image from Cap 6 into Cap 8 and I get an error message that I can't import a shape from an earlier version.

Very frustrating change, indeed. The panel under the Big Button Shapes only provides one shape per 'category'. Once you have chosen a similar shape, in your case the Callout shape, you have first to draw a shape, then to move your mouse to the right, to the Properties panel, Style tab where you find the other shapes. Maybe you'll need some more clicks on the arrrows to find the right shape, but in your case you are lucky since this category has only 4 shapes.
This is not the only change in UI that causes a lot more work. Moreover the category 'Buttons' under the shapes, have lost their useful actions, only the representative shape of its category, the Return button has the correct action. But action will not change when you switch to another button shape in the Style tab.

My itunes were transferred where are they

All my files from my Macbook were tranferred to my new Mac Air by Future Shop. All I can find is a quick view of them which has each song begin part way thorugh. I checked under my account and it shows all my purchases so where are they? Can't find my playlists either.

I sent a photo from my iPhoto trash to the hide photo icon and now I cannot find it.

You should not be able to hide a photo while it's in the iPhoto Trash bin. Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

I copied the photos from my photo stream folder to a new folder on my macbook pro. I then deleted the phots in my photo stream folder. It erased them from the other folder as well. Why? Where did they go? Can I get them back? Please help. Thanks.

Hello, I wanted to clear out my photo stream folder on my macbook pro, so I copied all the photos to a permanent folder. I then deleted all the photos in my photo stream folder. The photos in my backup folder were automatically deleted and I want them retrieved. They are not in my trash and I can't find them. Are photos autmatically backed up in my phots? How can I retrieve the deleted photos? Please help. Thanks.

You can't currently delete individual photos but you can reset
Step 1: Login to your iCloud account on iCloud.com from a Mac or PC.
Step 2: Click on your name at the top right of the main iCloud page.
Step 3: Click on the Advanced option.
Step 4: Click “Reset Photo Stream.” You will then need to confirm.
Step 5: This Photo Stream reset will not go into effect until you toggle Photo Stream on and off on your devices. In iOS, Photo Stream can be turned off and on in the iCloud settings window of the Settings app.
