After switching over from Dtv two weeks ago here in Syracuse, NY, all I can say is BUMMER. At this point I would have much rather kept paying the extra $100.00 a month I saved by bundling to see the programming I want. No MSG-HD, which I knew going in, but was under the assumption from talking to the rep on the phone that Ranger games in HD would be carried via the Center Ice package. To my disappointment, not only is there no MSG-HD on Center Ice, but Center Ice only carries ONE!! HD broadcast an evening ??? Are you serious??? Please tell me this is some sick joke before I start spreading the word to my co-workers and friends to avoid Fios TV. Is there a problem with Verizon Fios carrying HD channels?? All I can say is wow, major, major disappointment. HD Sports packages and programming on Fios is like stepping back in time to the caveman era, what a regression I've made. Is it to late to cancel my Fios Tv and switch back after two weeks? Any and all help appreciated.

In this instance it could only be dragged left for some reason. I was working on another file and it did let me drag it right, maybe the the non-dragability was a bug too. It's all moot, because I went back to the file and it's blank! But I can start again, I have the WAV.

N95 - A step back in time

What is is with this new phone? I can't insert a contacts number in a text message for love nor money. Nor can I copy a number from one contact into another. It allows you to copy the number, but how and where the hell can you paste? The other thing is that on all older Nokia's if you added the number from a text message to your contacts, the phone updated the message list with their name - not anymore - why prey tell ?
Someone should tell Nokia that when they add new fun things to the phones, they are not suppost to delete the basic stuff at the same time.

to enter a number press (and Hold) the number key while in text entry mode ('abc') and the number will be entered instead.
Also if you cycle through the letter (while not in T9 predictive text entry) you can find the number there. To get out of predictive text use the Pencil key and turn off predictive text or press the # key to cycle text entry modes Abc, abc, Abc_, abc_, 123 (you have to hold down the # key to get to number mode).

Problem in changin the username at the Step Level

Hi All,
I had a small problem with background processing in SM37.I was trying to change a job which was running from my Id to some other Id which I needed to run from.I changed it successfully, but the problem is the job is running under new Id now, but all the steps related to that job are running under my id(i.e., old id) itself.Could anybody please help me out how to change the username at the step level also?

->Log on to the new Id and select the job which was running under old id.
->Then,make a duplicate copy of the job from the menu option Job->Copy.
->Now, it will ask for a name give the new name
->Now, that job will be under new id in Shcheduled status.
with all the steps being under old id still.
->Now, again select that particular newly copied job and
->click on step,Select the step by clicking on it.
->And, now go to the menu option Job->Change,there u will be able to change the userid from the old one to the one which u wish to have.......That will work fine after releasing the job from Scheduled status to Release status.

I'm trying to access a forum that requires a user name and password. When I do it on my mac it tells me the password is incorrect but when I do it on my iPad, I can access it without any problem. I can confirm the username and password are the same

I am trying to access a forum for which you need a username and password but it keeps telling me the username/password i've entered are incorrect. Bizarrely, when I enter the same username/password combination on my iPad, it grants access without any problem.
What could be causing this, is it an issue with cookies, caches or similar. How can I resolve it? The forum administrator is at a loss as to what the problem is.

Try the following steps in Safari to see if they help:
1) First try clearing the Safari cache. To do this pull down the Safari menu and select 'Empty cache...', then try logging into the site again.
2) If the issue continues then reset Safari by pulling down the Safari menu and select'Reset Safari...'. You will be presented with a list of items that can be reset. I suggest selecting the 'Reset saved names and passwords', and 'Remove all website data' options at a minimum.
Here is a list of the options and what they do. I pulled it from the Safari help page.
Clear history:
Clears the list of webpages you viewed.
Reset Top Sites:
Clears any changes you made to Top Sites, such as adding or pinning sites. If you also clear your history, your Top Sites page reverts to showing the webpage previews displayed when you first installed Safari.
Remove all webpage preview images:
Clears any thumbnail images Safari saved of webpages you viewed.
Clear the Downloads window:
Clears the list of files you downloaded from websites. Only the names are removed; the files themselves are still on your disk until you remove them.

What is the username and password for the web page on the hp deskjet 2540 printer?

I need to administer my Deskjet 2540 through my web browser, but do not know the username and password. When it says log in it says 'The server http://[ip adress] requires a pasword. The server says: admin.' I have tryed to use admin as the usermane and no password but it does not work. Is there a way to reset the pasword?

For the issue you are having, I would recommend trying a different web browser for starters, and if that doesn't help, follow the instructions below from another post with a resolved solution. If those steps don't help, the problem could be your router.

Given email, find the username using WLCS2.0

For forgotton passwords and usernames, we need to find a username for a
given email address. We set email as one of the User's property using
the User Admin Tool in a Property Set.
I believe that the only way to create and login a given user is using
the username as key with <um:createuser> and <um:login> tags. Also, all
the properties are serielized into RAW fields in Oracle, hence we cannot
use SQL to find out the username.
My urgent question is: "What is the BEA-suggested way to find the
username(s) for a given email address?" Should I write a Java code,
instantiate a User for each user, and check their emails one-by-one
(ugly!).

Just a thought but if a unified user profile was used and the 'email' data
was part of the greater user class then finding the email address would be
far more simple as you would be seraching your own tables rather than the
BEA created ones. Am i right in assuming that the email field could still be
accessed via rules so long as the GreaterUser extended
com.beasys.commerce.axiom.contact.User ?
Do BEA have any guidelines or thoughts as to when data should be held in
properties of the contact.User class or when a unified user profile should
be created, in the case where no there is no pre-existing data. I rather
like the idea of the UUP as I know where all my data is and I dont have to
explain the table layout as it is self evident.

3) select PK_STRING from WLCS_ENTITY_ID where ENTITY_ID=<the value
you found in step 2>
The WLCS_ENTITY_ID table links each ENTITY_ID to a PK_STRING for a
ConfigurableEntity. In this case, your ConfigurableEntity is a User
and the PK_STRING is the username.
The first step would probably be slow because you would be querying
a table that contains all text property values. Step two and three
would be fast. You could use a session bean that has a method
getUserName(String email) to implement these queries.

Posting Document has the username as WF-BATCH

I've seen some 2 to 3 threads regarding this issue. But i didnt find proper solution in those.
I'm using Invoice Parking Document. When the user Releases the document, it will post automatically in Background. The username has WF-BATCH. I need to change this as the person who has released. Because, the client is using the field in some custom program. In that printout, it comes as WF-BATCH. So, how do I change this ??
Or is it possible to get the user who has released the document. So that i'l use that in the custom program. In which table it stores ??
Can anyone know ??

Hello JMB,
it depends on the application and action that you do with your posting. Some interfaces allow to change the actual user that is logged (ie. the BAPI to release a purchase requisition can switch the user-ID), and some just don't.
In those cases you'll usually need to update the database field e.g. RBKP-USNAM or the header of the change document CDHDR-USERNAME. And you can usually do this in a secondary background step that is executed once the posting is completed, or by a separate parallel event-coupling. However, usually you'll need to update the database.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I am trying to create a new web app using Central Administration in Sharepoint 2010 and getting an error "The password supplied with the username was not correct. Verify that it was entered correctly and try again".
I tried running this command also "stsadm -o updatefarmcredentials -userlogin <domain\username> -password <newpassword>" but when it got executed it showed me "Access Denied".
What should i do ??

Is Verizon going to acknowlege the problems with FIOS and Windows Vista

For months now, I have been reading the numerous problems Fios internet customers are having with Fios internet/Actiontech Router and Windows Vista and there has been no acknowledgement by Verizon of this current major issue.
I have also experienced the exact same issue for months now since I switched to Verizon FIOS internet. Previously I had Comcast HSI using my Windows Vista laptop. I had their service for over a year and I NEVER has a problem with the Windows Vista globe icon disappearing and loosing internet connection. The Globe always stayed on and never went away and I never lost connection when I had Comcast
I had Verizon FIOS installed last September with my Windows Vista computer and my wireless internet connection started to drop from day 1 and it has been a daily occurrence for over 5 months now. It has gotten so bad, I have had to hardwire my laptop to to be able to use the internet uninterrupted.
This is what daily scenario is:
When I turn on my laptop(with Windows Vista, I can initially get full internet access(with the globe on and it says "Local and internet). After about 10 minutes or less, the globe switches to "local only" and I can still get internet access. After another 5 or so minutes, a large X covers the globe and I lose internet connection entirely. The actiontech router wireless signal is no longer listed as one of the wireless networks. The only way for me to regain internet access is either to restart my laptop or reboot the actiontech router.
Numeorus posts here, over by DSL forums(Broadband Reports),Microsoft's website and a few othere websites detail this issue.
I am extremely shocked and surprised that Verizon has not tried to fix this issue by working with both the makers of the Actiontech Router as well as Microsoft to find out what the problem is and how to fix it.
I would just like to reiterate I strongly believe this is primarily a FIOS internet issue since I previously had Comcast HSI for over a year with the same Windows Vista laptop and I NEVER had that problem. Also, I can connect to my neighbors wireless connection(she uses Comcast HSI) and when I do, the globe stay on all the time on my computer and the internet does not lose connection.
I know that there are a couple of Verizon employees here. Please tell the higher ups who handle FIOS internet that this is a major issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
P.S: Please don't tell me to go by my own router because then, I will have to deal with the issues of setting it up to work with Fios TV and the related VOD, widgets, remote DVR compatability issues to deal with. I don't think I can deal with the additional headaches.

FIOS is short for fiber optics. fiber optics is different technology than DSL.
With that said, if you search the Microsoft databases for vista issues with fiber optics, (CURRENTLY THERE IS ONLY ONE PROVIDER OF FIBER TO THE HOUSE, that being Verizon, so yes you can also search Vista issues with verizon and\or fios) and you will find that Microsoft already acknowledges this issue with their software. AND they offer you a fix.

That machine did not ship with Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8), so that means the copy of Mountain Lion on the machine was purchased by the former owner and is non-transferable. It is permanently linked to his/her Apple ID, so you cannot update or reinstall it.
What you need to do (which the seller should have done for you) is reinstall the original system that that machine came with. I believe that would be Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6). What you need to do is reinstall that system from the original disks. If the seller did not provide those disks, you can call Apple and get them replaced for a small shipping and handling fee.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup
