I want to learn Oracle database and developer 2000. So I need the softwares.I am going to download
1. Oracle Forms Developer/Server Release 6i for Windows NT
2. Oracle8i Personal Edition on NT
Before download them, I want to know if they can work together. I am in Australia, do you know where I can get the free softwares, or with lower price.
If you have another way for self-training, please let me know.

You should also check Amazon.com or your local tech bookstore for books on Developer.

There's also a "quit" in the menubar. Once it's not active you can delete it.

Honestly, from experience however, if it asks you for the password again, the previous one was likely incorrect. Maybe a typo...

1. Don't confuse "Apple ID" with iTunes Account ID. You can have many Apple IDs but only one iTunes account active at a time.
2. If you "changed" your iTunes account ID, you actually have 2 accounts - one under the old name plus the new name.
3. You can't merge the accounts - they remain separate. Apps purcahsed under the old account name will update ONLY WHEN THE PHONE IS SIGNED IN TO THE OLD ACCOUNT NAME and visa versa.
4. Likewise, you can sync only the apps, music, media purchased under the account the phone AND iTunes are signed in to.

Yosemite 10.10.2 server app. FTP help. I have a program running in my local server enviroment that wants to FTP to my mac folder. It asks for the server , name, password, port and path. what are they?

So I have set up a localhost area in my Mac. I have the new server.app and I am running yosemite 10.10.2 .

I am pretty certain that the Serveris "localhost",
Name is my macs name (like my-mac-min)
password is "my login password"
and they suggest port 21.
But what is the file path, lets just say my site is set up http://localhost/siteftp and is actually at my Users/Sites/siteftp folder.
Why cant this program connect to the mac.
Is it because they are both operating in the same localhost enviroment,
could it be my folder permissions are not correct on siteftp folder?

I tried turning the computer off and then back on. The alerts don't show the notice to update as resolved. Hopefully this is not a problem or an indicator or another problem. Should I ignore or reload 10.10.1 from the app store to trigger a resolved check in a green circle?
Interesting that I had to buy server software after my free Yosemite download. I would have hoped that the two pieces of software would have gone together without any complication. It is not positive to end up buying a problem. Ah well, time to move on.

First off, you can't have upgraded from 10.4.1, as that won't run on a MacBook. 10.4.4 is minimum. 10.4.10, and 10.4.11 are different from 10.4.1.
Secondly, it appears Reason 4.0.1 is needed for 10.6:

Check with the developers in question if they are aware of any bugs in the upgrade process.

Yes it does and there is an indication that the software is downloading but after a few hours, it just stops without any error message. Everything simply disappears and I need to start over again. I have a superfast connection so it should no be this slow. Everything worked fine on my MBP and I am in the same place. Any ideas

I hope you bought this from a store, you can return it and get your money back. BUT if you bought from a person off the street or off the net, someone you don't know... I'm thinking you just got screwed! And are out the money and have an expensive paper weight. I hope I'm wrong, but I think you have a stolen iPod. If you can find the person that sold it to you return it and get your money back, but I'm thinking they are long gone. If you can not find the person report it to the police and turn it over. Is there a particular reason you are starting with an old version and not the latest (11.1.2.0)? Version 10.1.2 will begin its end of life cycle at the end of this year. Meaning, Error Correction Support will end. Learning with the newest version will give you the advantage of working with the latest features and a more stable version.
At any rate.... how easy it will be to learn will all depend on your current skill set and your prior experience with other development tools. I would suggest you first get a basic understand of how Forms works before you start to build an application. Building an application in Forms is mostly easy because the more common features are wizard driven. However, understand what to do once you create an app might take a little more thought and an understanding of basic web principles.
