Asset value date in Internal order settlement ko88

Hi.
I have posted some expenses to the internal order. I m trying to settle it to AUC with tcode KO88.
In the selection screen of ko88 i gave asset value date as 15.07.2011 but system is posting with month end date only as 31.07.2011.
I read the sap note 98496. In that its mentioned that the asset value date given in settlement parameters will override the asset value date given in the selection screen of ko88.
I tried to update the AUC asset value date in KO02 where we give settlement rules but i couldnt find any field there.
Where do i update the AUC asset value date in settlement parameters. Can anyone provide me the tcode and the field where i update this asset value date.
Regards,
Padmavathi

  • Error while running Internal Order Settlement (KO88)

    Hi,
We are in ECC 6.  We are facing an error while settling one internal order using T.Code KO88.
    The error message says :
Execute amount settlement up to and including settlement period 001 2009 first
    Message KD262
We have already settled the internal order upto previous month. But, we are unable to settle the order for the current month.
    Any suggestion please.
    Regards,
    Ganesan

In production Order maintain Settlement type as Full Settlement.
In CO01 Create production Order or CO02 Change production order go to
    Header -
    > Settlement Rule
Maintain Category, Receiver, Percentage, FUL (as settlement type)
Change settlement type to FUL if it is PER.
PER Settlement Type - Only settles the cost incurred on the posting period
FUL Settlment Type - Settles all the cost incurred after the previous costing run

  • Error message - data master internal order settlement rule

    Hi people,
I'm creating an internal order, and in the settlement rule, i'd like to put a message error when i make a distribuition over 100%. For example, i put 50% in a settlement receiver and 65% in another one, that makes 115%. The system shows a message, but it allows me to save. I need that shows an error message and don't allow me to save.
    Anyone can help me?
The message that appears is this one:
    Total = 115.00%, ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ), period 002/2009
    Message no. KD042
    Diagnosis
You have entered distribution rules which settle 115.00% in total. This applies for settlement view ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ) in period 002/2009.
When checking the percentage total, the system found one of the following errors:
The total percentage for the distribution rules is more than 100%
The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and this is a rule for full settlement.
The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and the 100% check is switched on in the settlement profile.
    Procedure
You can ignore this message if you are settling by fixed amounts. The settlement then checks whether the settlement sender has been fully credited.
Otherwise, correct the percentages for view ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ) to be able to settle exactly 100% in period 002/2009.
If these rules are not full settlement rules (settlement type GES), you can switch off the 100% check in the settlement profile. This procedure also suppresses the message in future.
    Note
If you cannot find any fields where you can enter percentage values, this is probably because the settlement profile is configured to hide them. Switch on percentage settlement in the settlement profile, or use equivalence numbers for your rules, if the project profile allows this.
    Many thanks.

    Hi
Below is the extract for the 100% Validation check. Please check the bold part. Even if you save the settlement rule with more than 100% at the time of settlement this will be errored.
    dentifier for "100% validation"
Indicator controlling whether percentages in the settlement rules are checked by the system.
If you have defined percentage distribution rules for a particular settlement rule, the system checks the total percentage either when you save the settlement rule or if you use the percentage check function.
    Use
If the indicator is set  The system issues a  warning
if the total is <> 100%.
If the indicator is not set The system issues a warning
if the total is > 100%.
In both cases, you can ignore the warning and save the settlement rule. However, to be able to run the settlement, you must first correct the settlement rule.  The settlement run itself prevents you from settling more than 100%.
    Note
The indicator only affects periodic settlement.  In overall settlement, the percentage must always be 100%.
You can also use this indicator if you are not using percentages for settlement.  If this is the case, you must activate the equivalence numbers.  You then receive a warning that, even if you have entered settlement rules, none of the rules has received an equivalence number (other than zero).

  • Asset Value Date determination during settlement from Orders or WBS!

    Hi,
I have a scenario on the asset value date and I am not sure what went wrong, asset side or CO side.
    The scenario is as following:
    1. Asset was converted into the system by 7/31/2008 with $10000.
    2. The capitalized on date is 2/29/2008 on the asset master data.
    3. On 8/31/ 2008, I charged $300 to an internal order and settled the $300 to this asset. The Asset Value Date on the Asset Explorer is 8/15/2008.
    4. On 9/30/2008, I charged #500 to the same internal order and settled the $500 to this asset, the Asset value date on the asset explorer for this charge is still 8/15/2008.
This messed up the depreciation of this asset. Does anyone know how to control the asset value date from the settlement? Do we need to config in Asset side or in Order side? I want the $300 charge's value date is on 8/15/2008 and $500 value date on 9/15/2008. Is this possible?
    Thanks,
    Ting

In the settlement you can fill in the asset values date.
The first posting is the basis for capitalization date(when you don't fill it in manual), when you fill it in for the second time the Asset Value Date it is no longer relefant.
This is only important when you have say in your depreciation key that the depreciation is based on days( see the help on this field)

  • Asset Value date in KO88 Settlement type=FUL

We do KO88 for Settlement type=PER and the posting date and value date are the end of the month.
But if we do Settlement type=FUL the posting date is end of the month and Asset value date is not (for the example we made it is 15/MM )
This is wrong and the customization of the default asset value date is Posting date.
    OSS says it is consulting
    Regards,
    Alon G.

    Hi
Check OSS Note : Note 98496 - Information: Asset value date in settlement to fixed assets.
    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=98496
The above not explains the logic as how the Value Date is determined during settlement.  The above not is release independent hence applies to all SAP Releases.

  • Asset Value Date in Settlement

    Hello!
We would like to settle investment measure to a completed asset, so the settlement rules have been updated with the completed asset, status of the order has been changed to TECO (technically complete).
When we settled the order (not via u201Cko88u201D but via automated program which uses our client) it turned that out asset value date is different than posting date, so the system takes the date when investment measureu2019s status has been changed to TECO instead of posting date, as asset value date.
Would anybody know where and how to change config, so asset value date is the same as the posting date?
Thanks in advance for any hints.

  • KO88 Internal Order Settlement

    Hi All,
Internal order Settlement rule has Asset under construction .
Current year cost has been settled to AUC. However an cost belonging to last year Dec 2006 is not settled to AUC.
This cost is available in Line item of Internal order in Tcode : KOb1 for the previous year 2006. For the current year 2007 the balance of the order is Zero as all cost are settled through T code: KO8G
We tried settling the cost to period 12 year 2007 in KO88 system said Settle the balance from previous year in the previous year first. We have applied SAP note: 819197. Now we are getting another error AUC not completely credited.
    Can you provide your inputs
    Thanks

KO88 is a Period end activities, after each month nend you have to mandatorily run KO88 settlement.
select Posting period 05 and do the settlement.

  • Internal Order settlement "Acquisition value negative"

      Hello,
Internal Orders Settlement Process (TRX KO8G) Received the message "Acquisition Value negative in area 01" for I/O # 850100 & 861650 when attempting to run the February 2014 Settlement.
What went wrong? How can I resolve this issue?

    Hello,
There are 2 ways to solve this issue.
    1. Check why there is a negative value posted on this asset? If the posting is correct, then
    or
    2. Allow the negative value posting in Asset master (AS02) ->Depreciation areas-> Double click on the depreciation areas -> Negative posting.
I suggest you to not to check the option "All values allowed", because you may loose the flexibility of negative value posting.
    Hope this helps

  • Internal Order Settlement Posting Date

    Hi gurus,
Can I change the posting date on an Internal Order settlement or it has to be always the last day of the settlement period?

    Hi Susanna,
Yes, you can change the posting date. On order settlement screen KO88 or KO8G, under extras you can find posting date where you can enter the new posting date however, it should be within the open period.
    Assign points if helpful
    Thanks,

  • Asset under Construction through Internal order- Functional deficit?

    Hi Experts,
I have created an internal order and all the expenses incurred for the asst under construction are being booked at this internal order.
While settling the internal order the system always picks up the month end date as the settlement date and hence the balance of internal Order is getting transferred to AUC on month end date (say31.07.2007).
    So,
The date of transfer of balance from internal order to AUC is month end date that is 31.07.2007.
But in Actuality the AUC got complited before month end (say 15..07.2007) and the Asset was put to use on 15.07.2007.
Now the system is not allowing to settle the AUC to Main Asset as on 15.07.2007 as the AUC was not existence on that date. <b>Error:</b> Posting not possible (Value date earlier than capitalization date).
I am able to transfer the balance in AUC to Main Assets as on 31.07.2007 but in this case my client is loosing the depreciation element on this asset from 15.07.2007 to 30.07.2007. Is this the functional deficit in SAP? Is there any way through which depreciation can be availed from 15.07.2007?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bijay kumar Deo

You can settle the AUC value in one period and posting can be made in another period. in the same you can give the different asset value date in KO88 screen. The only limitation is this possible only if the fiscal year is same.
Give the asset value date as 15.07.2007 in KO88
    Hope this will work

  • Problem during Internal Order settlement

    Dear Sir,
we have a scenario where we have Internal Order and using Internal Order we first bring cost to AUC and then settle AUC to final Asset .
Against an Internal Order , under settlement rule we have created 1 number AUC and 2 different Final Assets .  We have been able to succesfully settle AUC to Final Asset (first Final Asset) . Now subsequently we want to settle the remaining AUC to the second final Assets and for settlement we used Tcode Ko88 . During Ko88 , we are getting the error :
"Either the sender is already settled, or there is nothing to settle
    Message no. KD213 "
Although there is balance available against AUC .
We request you to kindly help us , as how to resolve the reported error .
    Regards
    Sonia

    Hi
As you mentioned that you had settled the cost from internal order to AUC and then settlement from AUC to 2 final assets. For order to AUC settlement we use KO88.but for AUC to final assets you must use TCode AIAB and define distribution rule to settle to assets.
As you already have settled the order values to AUC you have nothing to settle from order. As the order values fully transferred to AUC you are getting the error message "Either the sender is already settled, or there is nothing to settle".
Now use the transaction AIAB to transfer the values from AUC to final assets.
You cannot use transaction KO88 to settle AUC to final asset.
This will resolve your problem.let me know if you still have any issue.
    Thank you

  • Asset under construction in internal order

    Dear All,
can any one tell me how to create Asset under construction in internal order...
    Suresh patipati.

You must have a separate asset class for Asset Under construction(OAOA) with line item settlement selection.
Create an asset(AS01) under AUC asset class
Then create internal order through KO01 and in Settlement rule mention the
    Category as FXA
    Settlement Receiver: AUC Asset
% as 100% or as you require
    Save the entries.
Now enter the capital expenditure using this Internal order.  After you finish with the postings settle the internal order(KO88).  On Settlement the values are transferred to AUC asset from Internal order.
Now use AIAB & AIBU to distribute and Settle the AUC asset values between Main asset(s).  Here also in the settlement rule you must enter the settlement receivers.

  • Purchase order to Asset non imposed the Internal Order.

I'm entering a purchase order of an asset tied to an internal order of investment. The order has a budget X. If I enter a purchase order with value greater than the amount budgeted in the internal order, the system allows me to create the request and not imposed the internal order. In the report S_ALR_87013019, the order has no value released.
How can the system do not allow the purchase of assets with values greater than estimated and how to make that encumbers the purchase order and appear in the report S_ALR_87013019?
This only happens in the purchases of assets!
    Thanks in advanced!
    GLMacedo

My friend, see my answer to witch point.
    1. Your Asset APC account should be Category 90 (Statistical) Cost element
The Internal Order is Statistical (I see in KO03). Should I verify in another place?
    2. your Internal Order must be of category "Investment" and not "Overhead"
    OK
    3. Assign this Internal order in your Asset Master in the field "Investment Order"and not "Internal Order"....
    OK
if Investment Order is not visible in Asset Master, change your screen layout of the asset and plug it in (IMG > AA > Master Data > Screen layouts)
    4. Do settings in T code ACSET - Allow EAUFN for Trn Type = *, Acct Assign Type = APC Postings, and check the Acct Assgn check box
I don´t know how can I do this. How Can I Do?
Allow commitment management in your contr area OKKP and in your Internal order type (KOT2_OPA)
My type Order (investment) in KOT2_OPA is OK (commitment management was allowed). But in OKKP it is not! It is a critical setting. Should I flag this field?
    6. Feield Status Group of Asset must allow CO/PP Order in OBC4
    OK
    Thank you very much!

  • Internal Order Settled to AUC reverse process

    Dear Gurus,
I had a hard time to think how to do the processes over and over again.
    The current process is:
Every month the internal order (investment and real order)  will collect the expense on AUC and settle to the AUC.
At the end of year, the AUC will be settled to Fix Asset by internal order settlement rules.
Now what if the settled expense was not correct. For example, in 2009, I created the IO and settled the IO to AUC in several months. But in 2010, I found the expense in IO shall not be settled to AUC, the expense was only the overheads. ( The AUC was not settled to Fix Assets). Just like I wanna reverse the settlement in 2009.
So it would be like this in a flow chart.
    IO-> AUC->FX
Now I need to do this:
    AUC->IO->GL
For IO->GL, I have figured out that I can change the settlement rule profile and make the GL account allowed.
But for AUC->IO , I have no idea and almost burn my brain on it.
Could you please help to throw light ?
    Emma

    Hi,
I tried 2 write offs, please help to see whether I am doing right. Thank you!
I tried to reverse the document but it was not allowed.
I am thinking to post a document like the following:
    1. Doc in 2009
    50 8910000000 settlement AUC             2,964,800.00-        Order:C1BIC83002
    70 3270600041 000327000032 0000    2,964,800.00
    2. What I want to post:
    40 8910000000 settlement AUC         2,964,800.00      C1BIC83002
    75 3270600041 000327000032 0000    2,964,800.00-
But it gave me an error when I enter the asset number.
Asset is investment measure, transaction type not allowed
    Message no. AK005
    Diagnosis
Asset   that is to be posted is an investment measure. You are not allowed to post transactions that affect acquisition value using the current transaction.
    Procedure
Check the asset and transaction type 160.
I am not sure which transaction type is correct.
    Emma.

  • Why internal order settlement is require

why internal order settlement is require
and in internal orders    acctual cost is plan cost is 100 and acctual is 150
then which amount we have to settle in internal order
    regards
    venkatareddy

    Hey Venky,
An internal order is usually used as an interim collector of costs and an aid to the planning, monitoring, and controlling processes needed. When the job has been completed, you settle the costs to one or more receivers (cost center, fixed asset, profitability segment, and so on).
During settlement, some or all of the plan or actual costs incurred on an object are allocated to one or more receivers. The system automatically generates offsetting entries to credit the sender object. The debit postings assigned once to a sender object remain in place, even after settlement to a receiver (and can therefore be displayed). The costs settled are updated on the corresponding receiver object and displayed in reporting.
To be able to settle an order, you must have saved a settlement rule in each of the senders. This settlement rule determines where the costs are to be settled to. You can achieve this in two ways:
Settlement to One Receiver:You use this basic form of order settlement to completely settle the costs collected on the internal order. This is either to a cost center, or a G/L account under a settlement cost element. The system generates the appropriate settlement rule from the information contained in the internal order master data.
Comprehensive Settlement:Definition of a comprehensive settlement rule gives you more settlement possibilities, for example, you can:Settle costs to a wide range of receivers (project, sales order, profitability segment, and so on).
Specify how the costs are to be distributed between receivers.
Define the cost elements under which the sender is to be credited and the receivers debited.
Constraints:You can only use one of these settlement methods at a time: For example, if you defined settlement to one cost center in the master data for an internal order, then you can only define a more comprehensive settlement rule once you have deleted the first rule.
Hope this helps. Requesting to reward points please.
