Assign Bank account to the Customer

Hi,
How to assign bank account to the customer?? in AR or CM????
pls help me n step by step fashion...

Hi Prety,
You may create or assign a bank account to a customer from the customer definition page in AR.
Query the customer, go to bank account definition page and define the bank details. Once you save the record the bank account is assigned to the customer or customer site.
The Bank and Branch information will then be available in CM. But the bank account information is maintained in payment tables (IBY).

    Each bank in vendor master is linked to Partner Bank Type (BnkT) field.  One of these values is entered in header (Payment tab), while entering vendor invoice in the system.  APP picks the bank (in vendor master record) linked to the partner bank type key entered in the vendor invoice.

    We have maintained multiple banks for same customer in customer master. Our requirement is to have an option to choose a particular bank account at the time when a credit memo request is created. The customer wants different credit notes to go to different bank accounts. We do not want to do it at the time of payment as this becomes quite manual. Is there any way we can do this at the time of entry of Credit Memo request in VA01 ?

    Dear Praveen,
    I don't think you can have this option in the standard functionality.
    Because account assignment will takes place based on these combination
    Chart of accountsCondition typeMaterial account assignment groupCustomer account assignment groupAccount key.
    So you can't assign different G/L with same combination, if you want different G/L accounts then you need to change either one the key combination.
    Other wise you can have different credit memo types based on the Bank accounts
    -->Generate the condition table with billing type as one of the key field.
    -->Maintain access sequence for that, assign to condition type.
    -->Now define and assign the new account determination procedure for the credit memo process.
    -->Finally you assign the Bank G/L account with bill type(I,e Credit memo type) is as one of the key combination.
    But make sure that you have maintained proper copy control settings for all these credot memo types from credit memo request or other reference document.
    You can try with some user extis with the help of ABAPer,
    The following user exits are available in report SAPLV60B for transfer to accounting
    USEREXIT_ACCOUNT_PREP_KOMKCV (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ)
    In this user exit additional fields for account determination that are not provided in the standard system are copied into communication structure KOMKCV (header fields).
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_001: Change the header data in the structure acchd
    You can use this exit to influence the header information of the accounting document. For example, you can change the business transaction, "created on" date and time, the name of the person who created it or the transaction with which the document was created.
    EXIT_SAPLV60B_002: Change the customer line ACCIT
    You can use this exit to change the customer line in the accounting document. This exit is processed once the ACCIT structure is filled in with data from document header VBRK.

    I posted one payment run with one accout. when i am trying payment run for two accounts,in the Edit proposal reallocate tab I tried to assign two accounts for two invoices each one, but system is not allowing to assingn the 2nd bank account in the Vendor invoice. I assign this bak account in the Vedor master also. Please help

    Hi,
    If you are trying to post for a single payment method to different account id's for the same currency, then system wont allow this combination.
    You need to check the same in FBZP under Bank determination.
    Make sure, if payment method is same and you need to post to different account ids then the second account id must have a different currency.
    This is a basic requirement from SAP side.

    I've checked your account—you have two ExportPDF subscriptions. One placed on October 20 2013, and the other placed on October 11 of this year. So, you were probably charged the auto renewal for the subscription placed in 2013, and then the new charge for this year's order.
    Please Contact Customer Care so that an agent can help get things situated for you. There's no reason to have two subscriptions to the same service, so an agent can help you cancel one, if you'd like.

    In Safari, click on Safari in the upper left of your screen and then click on Preferences.  Go to the Security tab...... see below.  Select either Never or From third parties......   That should do it.

    Hello Gurus,
    I am looking for a BAPI or Function Module that will help me to update the Payment Transaction Tab of the customer master that contains the Bank details. I tried using BAPI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL_ADD and BAPI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL_CHANGE, but these are allowed to be used if only Business Partner is created for the payer/customer in SAP R/3.
    For every customer we donot have BP created in R/3, hence the above bapis donot help to meet my requirement.
    Has any of you had this requirement and used any bapi or any other method to add / change bank details.

    hi, thnks for the update,
    i have followed as per your guidelines,  but i could not able to generate the report  , i have included the tables  knb1, kna1 and knvv.  and in the list field i have selected all the dialog box  , and in the selection list i am selecting according to the customer account group .
    but i cannot able to excuete the report it says  "no data has been selected"  and it says the following msg
    "When executing a query on the selection screen, no data was found for the criteria you entered. Therefore, no list could be generated."
    is there any problem in choosing the table  should i have to choose according to the  order level , like  General data, company code data, and sales area data   .

  • Verizon just drained my bank account! Horrible customer service/ vague responses:(

    Due to many circumstances, one of them; having a baby, led me to allow my account to go neglected for a bit too long. I was eventually disconnected. Not good, but no biggie, or so I thought. After at least an hour of back and forth between customer service people who had no idea who I needed to speak to, I was told I could make a payment right then and there and then they would allow me three weeks to pay the balance of $385. That's a lot of money, especially when I'm not working, but it had to be done (plus it saved me an extra $250 early cancellation of contract fee). I called today to make the payment and *again* was bounced from person to person. When finally speaking to someone who kind of knew what they were doing, I paid my balance. Instead of "that being that" like I was told, I was then sent to another person who was going to "give me some important information". That important information was I was going to be charged the $250 early cancellation fee, I was going to be charged $150 as a deposit, and then $50 to have my phones turned back on. WTH??! They took the $50 for the reconnection from the $250 fee and the rest of the $200 was put into my online verizon account. That means they just took $784.84 from my bank account!!! If they were going to just put that 250 into my account, why didn't they use $150 for my deposit? I'm so upset I feel sick. That was almost everything in my account and I haven't even paid any other bills yet, not to mention little things like groceries. I don't know what to do:(

    The issue is I was told I would only have to pay $384.84... that's IT. It wasn't until I made the final installment today that I was told of the $150 security deposit, and to top it off they were STILL charging me the $250 fee instead of just getting rid of it like they originally stated. Had I know that, I would have gladly just given them $100 extra dollars to cover the cancellation fee that I could have told Verizon to screw off for good. By they way, the math doesn't add up...they supposedly added $200 to my account (and where would that be, and why only 200 and not 250) and my bill states I OWE $50. So again, how does this add up? They do nothing but screw people over. Almost $200 a month for two lines and one of the lines is stripped down to the bare minimum. They are nothing but con-artists and they need reported.

    Paypal is stealing from us under the guise of 'free.' Not only do I have a U.S. dollar account where I should be able to send my U.S. dollars, but they insist on doing a conversion with absolutely no other options into a CDN dollar account. On an $800 USD transfer, im losing $22 to 'free' bank deposit withdrawal fee's, due to under inflated exchange rates.  Check the current exchange rates, and compare it to PayPal's for the proof. It's bad enough the fee's charged for accepting PayPal in the first place, but this is absurd, all under the guise of free.  For an international payment company, you'd think they would allow you to at least keep the currency's if I have the corresponding accounts. Cost of doing business or cost of getting screwed?    

    If your a Canadian why not switch to CA Currency no conversion anywhere on that.. Paypal fees I find are very fair not to mention ebay fees are as well ... Look at what they offer your fees .. Paypal a Safe way to buy and sell almost anywhere now .. You can pay straight from bank or credit card and a pre paid card if I am not mistaken ... As a buyer they protect your money .. If you send email money transfer through your bank account and you get ripped off the bank that you pay fees to every month and for everytime you use your debit card etc etc they don't protect you at all ... Ebay which I know is of topic but for the 9-10% fees you are being exposed to customers that would never even know you existed in other words ebay is doing for you what a website and 10k inn google adwords couldn't do ... Also it makes it very issue to build a customer base in case you do want to open a site...  All fees here and there are fair you just have to adjust the best you can to minimize the hurt   Maybe switching to Canadian currency will do that for you .. Strong US dollars means Americans see the Canadian dollar as an instant Sale prices ... As a Canadian buyer I personally want a quick grab and go purchases and conversion rates are not part of the grab and go but many buyers do not think like me so this is just my opinion

    Any help on the questions below would be most appreciated. I am trying to configure Bank Accounting. I have tried to configure FBZP to the best of my ability. I've defined the house banks etc. The client uses ACH, Wire transfers and Checks.
    The question is basically how or what are the <b><u>steps</u></b> in trying to get SAP to communicate with the clients Banks and bank accounts? Do I have to ask the bank some specific questions and if so what are those questions? Does the bank need to give me some sort of access before SAP can be configured?
    Would I be able to see actual bank account balances in the Dev system or can we only see it after we go live? Does anyone happen to have any good documentation that would help in setting up Bank Accounting and interfaces with the bank?

    You have to ask the sample format of the check from the bank which also contains the terms & conditions.  The routing number on the MICR of the check will be your Bank Key (generally) which we configure in SAP.  This sample check also contains account number, check number etc....
    We have define check lots as given bank in SAP. 
    You can see the GL Account bank balances while testing phase.

    I think we cannot go for cash Journal, because for the below entry i should make the cash account
    settings as post automatically only in FS00 transaction.
    Bank account Dr to
    Cash account Cr
    If that is the case then we cannot post manually to the cash account.
    I think we need to go for some exit in validation.

    We are on 4.0, and classic scenario.
    We are facing a problem regarding finding the relevant G/L account on behalf of a product category in SRM.
    Example:
    For product category 10101500, the user should have the possibility for assigning G/L account:
    29000000
    29000001
    29000002
    In our system a user creates a shopping cart. The user choose a product category, 10101500, on behalf of this product category, the user should have the possibility for choosing the different G/L accounts, 29000000, 29000001 or 29000002. When the user has the different G/L accounts on screen, the user can choose the relevant one into the shopping cart. Are there any experts who have worked with this kind of issue?

    Hello Kim,
    Process you are describing is not standard.
    If you look at following path in SPRO:
    SAP Implementation Guide -> Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Account Assignment -> Define G/L Account for Product Categoriey and Account Assignment Category
    you will see that G/L Account number is assigned to one product category ID with one system source (for product category) and one account assignment category.
    So, the only way to be able to select different G/L account number for same product category is to give for each G/L account a different account assignment category.
    Nevertheless, this has to be checked to know:
    1- if it can work technically in SRM,
    2- but especially if Controlling functional team agrees.
    An alternative solution would be to use BAdI BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT: instead of giving choice to user to select himself G/L account, determine directly G/L value according to functional rule(s) given by Controlling team.
