Assigning a specific value to the sapscript counter variable

Hi all,
I am trying to use the sapscript counter variable in my sapscript but encounter the following warning.
My code looks like the following:
/: DEFINE &SAPSCRIPT-COUNTER_0& = 0
The new counter value is &SAPSCRIPT-COUNTER_0(+)&
The warning i get when i do the syntax check is:
Ambiguous symbol &SAPSCRIPT-COUNTER_0&
What is wrong with my syntax?
Appreciate any help i can get.

Hi,
If i am not wrong you are trying to reinitializing that standard variable. if that is the case one thing, in script we cannot assign values to variable other than at initializing time but here you don't have chance to initialize that variable because that is standard one. More over modifications to standard variable will give some warnings.
So try to use other than standard one as per your requirement.
Hope this will help you.
Regards,
Aswini.

  • How to assign project specific task with the newly created projects ?

    Hi All,

  • How to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button ?

    Hi Folks,
I have a need, can i know how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button. Scenario is like follows...
This is a struts based web application
    1. I have a file which consists of login user details (user name and his previlages) for a web application.
    2. I got those user details, into a List.
    3. When a user logged into the web app, in the home page there are few buttons. The type and number of buttons shown depends on the type of user/ user. (Buttons have different combination and the number of buttons available are not constant, they will vary from user to user).
    4. for each button, there will be a different action. I can pass the value of a button to an action class, but here button must have a dynamic value.
    Here is my test code:
    <%
    if (List != null)
    for (int i = 0; i <List.length; i++)
    %>
    <html:submit property="rduname" value= "<%=List%>" onclick="return submitRdu('<%=List[i] %>');"/>
    <%
    %>
But my problem is how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of the button ( i know 'value= "<%=List[i]%>" ' will not work, just wanted show you guys).
    Thanks in advance,

Let me try i know am not good at JSP but do we need double quotes here
value= <%=List%>i think JSTL should help you about the dynamic thing

    Two points -
    1) Java is not Javascript or HTML; you would do better to find a more appropriate forum.
    2) When you take this to a better forum, you need to describe the problem.

  • Assigning a numerical value to the answers of a multiple choice text field

I have searched and searched thru a million articles but there does not seem to be a simple way to do this, and I hope like heck that I am just overthinking it.  I tend to fall back on years of coding and completely miss a simple answer when doing this
kind of thing so I hope someone can help.
I'm developing a scorecard.  I have a list that has a form on it that asks a series of questions on it.  Some are yes/no.
I want to assign the numerical value of "1" to "yes", and "0" to "No".
This is so that when I create the actual scorecard, I can add up all the answers and generate a calculated score.
    Example:
    Was this incident properly classified?
    [Dropdown]
    Yes
    No
Do I need an extra column assigning the values?  Can I assign the values within the column itself? Any assistance will be really helpful.

    there are several options:
    - calculated column with something along the lines of =IF([dropdowncolumn] = "YES", 1, 0)
    - separate lookup list with values
    - if you're using infopath, your column could be numeric, and just use a DropDown as the visualization, and populate the DDL with key/values of "Yes"/1 and "No"/0 (though in this case, when viewing the list as a native grid, the column
would only show 1/0, not "yes / no"
    - depending on how you're creating the scorecard, use a yes/no (boolean) column and just convert during the calculation
lots of options come to mind.

    THanks.

A long press of the search button can bring up other options as well, but the app has to specifically enable that API for it to work.  In other words, it's not likely that it will work for that app specifically.

  • Assigning a java value(filepath) to a javascript variable

I have a JSP where I have a java variable(obtained from session) which is nothing but a filepath(say C:\superb.xpdl). When I try to use the variable in javascript using var scriptVar = "<%= sessionVar %>";, the sessionVar value i.e. the filepath is getting modified (like C:superb.xpdl). Slashes are interpredted in a different way(\t for tab, \n for new line etc.,) How to get the filepath with no modifications while assigning to javascript variable? will encoding(using escape()) and decoding help?

unfortunately you need to double up the slashes
    maybe this will work
    scriptVar = "<%= sessionVar.replaceAll("\\", "\\\\") %>";
or maybe it will cause a infinite recursion problem (i'm too lazy to try it)

  • How can I display the value of the Target Currency variable in my query

We have a query which has a key figure set to prompt for a Target Currency at runtime.  Because the user did not want the currency displayed in each cell they used the NODIM function to remove it. They do however want to display the Target Currency in a cell within the report.  Using Report Designer, I've tried to set up a Text Box to display this value, however, it is not in the list when looking at Constants, Filters or Variables or trying to display it in a Text box.  Has anyone found a way to be able to do this?

Hi and thanks for the reply.  I should have stated that because this was a validated query, we'd like to do this without modifying the query and thus having to go through another lengthy validation process. That's why we did not go the route of adding Unit to the query but we may have to.  Another thing we can do is use a text variable in the headers that displays the currency. That works but, again, it's a query change whereas finding it in Report Designer will not require a query modification.

  • Automatic assignment of hierarchy field in the main table

    Hi,
    We are upgrading from SRM-MDM catalog 2.0 to SRM-MDM catalog 3.0 sp07 patch 10.
In the main table, we have the standard field Hierarchy, that is a lookup on table Hierarchy.
In order to value this field, we have a specific field in the Main table, the UNSPSC code, that is a lookup on a specific reference table. This reference table makes the link between UNSPSC codes and nodes of the Hierarchy table.
After importing a new record that contains the UNSPSC code, we want to automatically assign a value to the hierarchy field in the Main table by the assignment's expression "[main table]UNSPSC code. [specific table]name of hierarchy. [Hierarchy table]name of hierarchy".
When executing this assignment, we get the error "Assignment operation failed: A runtime error occurred while evaluating an assignment, validation or calculated field".
Do you know if this kind of assignment is possible (it worked in MDM 5.5 but not anymore in 7.1) ? Or if there is a workaround ?
    Thanks for your kind help.
    Catherine

    Hi Mandeep,
    Thanks for your answer.
But, I do not want to assign a specific value to the Hierarchy field in the Main table. I want to determine it via a specific table.
Here is a sample of our data model to try to explain :
    Main table :
    item reference [Display field]
hierarchy --- lookup on Hierarchy table
UNSPSC code --- lookup on Specific reference table
    Hierarchy table :
    hierarchy name [Display field]
    hierarchy code
Specific reference table, type flat :
    UNSPSC code [Display field]
hierarchy name --- lookup on Hierarchy table
After import, in the Main table, item reference and UNSPSC code are valued.
In order to value the hierarchy field in the Main table, we would like to use the specific reference table :
    [Main table]UNSPSC code >>> [Specific reference table]hierarchy name >>> [Hierarchy]hierarchy name.
This assignment works if the assignment field is a plain text field but not if it is the Hierarchy field of the Main table, which is on lookup on the Hierarchy table.
    Thanks for your help !
    Best regards,
    Catherine

  • How do I tell LabVIEW to send a logic high to a digital port when an ICTR Control Counter reaches a specific value?

I am using a DAQ-1200 lab card (8253/54) to run a micro-stepping motor for a NASA research project. I need to tell LabVIEW to send a logic high (+5V) to one of the digital ports when my counter (ICTR Control) reaches a specific value. The logic high trips a relay which changes the direction of the motor, but I cannot figure out how to trigger it. Thanks!

Wire your counter T/F condition to a Case statement, and when T, have the 'Write to Digital Line.VI' output the logic high or low as appropriate. That VI is in the Functions>Data Acquisition>Digital I/O palette. This should work. Good Luck - Doug

  • Auto-assign an ECCN value

We have a subsequent legal regulation, in addition to EAR, in order to control certain chemical movements.  We are trying to find a program that will allow us to automatically assign a specific value to any material with a blank/null classification in this secondary legal reg.
We have looked at the BADI for legal control and also at the standard classification program, but we have not been able to find an exit that will allow us to perform this activity.  I've seen some threads on here before about automatically assigning a default ECCN or grouping.  Has anyone had any success?  Which program did you end up customizing?
Our requirement is that when a new product gets created, the system will assign "REVIEW" under the regulation.  Based on the ship from/ship to country combination, this will either create a block or allow it to go.  If I just keep it blank, it will always block, even for the countries that it is not relevant.  This is why we are trying to default REVIEW for this specific legal regulation.
    Thanks,
    Jessica

How about having an ECCN category as "UNCLASSIFIED" created under existing Numbering scheme and assign it to your subsequent legal regulation?
    1. You can classify (Mass via worklist) for the all the new products created to "UNCLASSIFIED".
    2. System wouldn't block it.
    3. When the business analysts finds out  the details of product  based on (country of departure/destination) you can re-classify the products to he required ECCN.

  • How 2 assgin a character value to the auxillary cell

    Hi,
I'm assigning a character value to the auxiliary cell in the macro. But it gives me a dump. So do let me know can I assign a character value to the auxiliary cell ( I need to display this value for the alert text).
    Thanks,
    Siva.

Why are you trying to use a character in the planning book - why not a representative value in numbers
but if you HAVE to use characteristic then you can also try to use the notes functionality (right click on a cell and go to notes if you have not seen this )
These notes are usually anchored to a cell. These notes are stored in a table (check in se 16 with wildcard on notes ) and is associated to the value of a cell
So if you can reference a cell value and put in the conditons to the values on it you might be able to manipulate the values in the table for notes and this will cause the notes in the interactive planning boo to change accoring to the value of the cell

  • How to Assign a Constant Value to a Dim. Member when pulling Master Data?

    BPC Gurus:
I am trying load Vendor and Customer Master data into BPC dimension.  My Dimesnion has memebrs: ID, EVDESCRIPTION, PARENTH1, TYPE.  I have successfully pulled the ID and the description from 0CUSTOMER and 0VENDOR.  However, I
need to have a ttext value for 'PARENTH1' and 'TYPE'.  For Customers, I want to add a FIXED value "'CUSTOMER' for every
Customer ID pulled in and also for "TYPE", I want a value of "CUSTOMER".  When I maintainthe Dimension, I want to see
    th followingvalues:
    ID                          EVDESCRIPTION                                   PARENTH1                         TYPE
    0000000001         WALMART                                            CUSTOMER                        CUSTOMER
    0000000002          TARGET                                               CUSTOMER                        CUSTOMER
    and so ON
Since we have Vendor Numbers in the same Diemsnion, when I pull Vendors, I need to have similar values as:
    ID                          EVDESCRIPTION                                   PARENTH1                         TYPE
0000005050         ABC Supply Inc.                                   VENDOR                            VENDOR
    0000005051         BASF                                                    VENDOR                            VEDOR
    and so ON
How can assign a Fixed value to the member Propert?  Can I achieve it in Conversion file....?
    ( My atempts failed...).
Any suggestion recommendation would be gretaly appreciated.
    Munna.

    Hi,
For adding fixed values to the properties, you can use the transformation file. In the mapping section, you can specify a constant value. This value will be written to properties of all the members while importing master data. However, for parenth, its a bit different. First thing is that, you need to have a member called CUSTOMER, then only you can have CUSTOMER in the parenth column. Even if you add it and use the mapping section for this purpose, then it will write CUSTOMER to parenth for all the members (even to CUSTOMER member). And this will be wrong. So, you will need to write it manually.
    Hope you got the idea.

  • How to assign a default value to a column ?

    Hi
In the Object browser is it possible to modifiy a column in order to assign a defalut value to the column ?
I have a table FICHE in which I want to assign a default value 0 to a column which type is NUMBER.
Thank you for your kind answers.
    Christian.

    Hi Christian
For one reason or the other you can't do that using 'Create Column' or 'Modify Column'. You can only do that by issuing a SQL command : alter table fiche modify column( <column name> default 0)
