Assigning a String Value to the value attribute of html:file

Hi,
we facing a problem while assigning a value to the VALUE attribute of file tag
<html:file property="fileupload" size='25' value="sample.xls" onchange="callsheet()" />
can anyone help me out plzzz,

Two points -
1) Java is not Javascript or HTML; you would do better to find a more appropriate forum.
2) When you take this to a better forum, you need to describe the problem.

  • How to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button ?

    Hi Folks,
    I have a need, can i know how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button. Scenario is like follows...
    This is a struts based web application
    1. I have a file which consists of login user details (user name and his previlages) for a web application.
    2. I got those user details, into a List.
    3. When a user logged into the web app, in the home page there are few buttons. The type and number of buttons shown depends on the type of user/ user. (Buttons have different combination and the number of buttons available are not constant, they will vary from user to user).
    4. for each button, there will be a different action. I can pass the value of a button to an action class, but here button must have a dynamic value.
    Here is my test code:
    <%
    if (List != null)
    for (int i = 0; i <List.length; i++)
    %>
    <html:submit property="rduname" value= "<%=List%>" onclick="return submitRdu('<%=List[i] %>');"/>
    <%
    %>
    But my problem is how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of the button ( i know 'value= "<%=List[i]%>" ' will not work, just wanted show you guys).
    Thanks in advance,

  • How to get the values of the value table ?

    Hello all,
    I want to get the values of the value table, given a domain name.
    Ex: To get the MATNR values of table MARA, giving the MATNR as input on the selection screen.
    Is it possible? Is there any FM?
    Thanks
    SR

    Hi
    forget my previous answer.
    Yuo can use a code like this:
    PARAMETERS: p_table TYPE  ddobjname,
                p_dom   LIKE  dfies-domname.
    DATA dfies_tab LIKE STANDARD TABLE OF dfies WITH HEADER LINE.
    DATA: ftab TYPE TABLE OF string.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_table> TYPE table.
    CALL FUNCTION 'DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET'
      EXPORTING
        tabname        = p_table
      TABLES
        dfies_tab      = dfies_tab
      EXCEPTIONS
        not_found      = 1
        internal_error = 2
        OTHERS         = 3.
    CHECK sy-subrc <> 0.
    LOOP AT dfies_tab WHERE domname = p_dom.
      APPEND dfies_tab-fieldname  TO ftab.
    ENDLOOP.
    SELECT (ftab)
           FROM (p_table)
           INTO TABLE <fs_table>.
    In this case you have to create dynamically the table <fs_table> or you can also use a table string:
    DATA: T_DATA TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF STRING.
    SELECT (ftab)
           FROM (p_table)
           INTO TABLE T_DATA.

  • How to remove the tags in a html file?

    I am trying to remove all the tags in a html file , just text left.
    I have written a class myself,but it just works for html tags.
    So could u please give me some tips ?
    thks!

    It's actually not easy to do it. There are various regexp ways of doing it. If you search you'll find them. But they are only partial solutions. What you really need to do is write an HTML parser, perhaps using Java's built-in HTML parser. That's the only way to really and truly extract text from HTML. It's a bit of an advanced programming task, though.

    Property Changed:
    flex/sdk/milestones.html

    the web xml mime type setting are for static files served by the server...
    if you print a file directly to the output of the servlet, you must set the mime type, so DO write :
    response.setContentType( "application/vnd.ms-excel" );
    IE "works fine" because it also uses the file extension to decide the mime type... but in the absolute, it's a wrong behaviour

    program to read html file and to open the links in that html file..
    ex:- to read automatically all next links in the html file and save it hard disk

    Start here;
    http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/bookmarks/
    It gives you all of the information you need to parse the HTML file using the HTMLEditorKit that is a part of the Java SDK.
    Once you get the links from the file, then you can think about connecting to each.

  • How to assign a value to the viewcriteria attribute from backing bean ?

    Hi,
    I have a readonly VO with the following query
    select attr1,attr2, attr3, attr4
    from sometable
    I have a view criteria in the above VO something like
    attr1=
    and attr2=
    I have dragged and dropped this criteria on a Status.jsff page as query panel with table. So the user can search the records by manually entering the values in the query panel. Also, there is another page Main.jsff where, if the user clicks on a button, it redirects him to Status.jsff page carrying a numeric value from the Main.jsff page. Now I have to assign this numeric value to "attr1" of the view criteria and execute this VO and show the updated results in the Status.jsff page.
    I used the below code :
    ViewObject vo = appModule.findViewObject("VOName");
    ViewCriteria criteria = vo.getViewCriteriaManager().getViewCriteria("CriteriaName");
    criteria.getVariableManager().setVariableValue("attr1", numericValue);
    vo.applyViewCriteria(criteria);
    vo.executeQuery();
    For the above code, i got an error saying that Variable "attr1" not defined in "VOName"
    Then i tried setting simple where clause
    vo.setWhereClause("attr1="+numericValue);
    vo.executeQuery();
    For this code, i got an error saying that SQL error during statement preparation.Statement: SELECT * FROM (select attr1 ,attr2,attr3,attr4,from VOName) QRSLT WHERE (attr1=1234)
    Please let me know the solution to this problem.

    Thank you all for the suggestions.
    The idea of Bind Variable works to query the criteria. But I have a Status.jsff page where User can even manually enter the attr1 value and query the results. When I added a bind variable to my VO, one extra input text field with the Bind variable name got added to the query panel in Status.jsff page. Also the table in the page did not show any results even after performing the executeQuery() on the VO(as per the steps explained in the Andrejus blog link that Navneeth has provided)
    Please suggest

  • Reading the value of the "WaitForTarget" attribute of the Wait step

    I am trying to access the  "Step.WaitForTarget" attribute for the Wait step but can't find the correct syntax to use in an expression or the correct API calls to use in an action step.  I intend to use this in an expression as I am looking for a specific value.
    I have a object reference to the step that I am testing  (Locals.StepRef) and from that I have no issues reading the standard attributes like name, step type, preconditions, etc...
    How do we access the special additional properties of the wait step ?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hey 4watt,
    One easy way to do this is to access the step reference as a PropertyObject and use GetValNumber to obtain the value. For example:
    Locals.StepRef.AsPropertyObject.GetValNumber("WaitForTarget",0)
    I tested this out and it does correctly return the value of WaitForTarget. Let us know if you need any more assistance!

  • What is the value of the 'Name' attribute of an Instance of Resource Type IPv6 Adress?

    See subject. I'm writing a Powershell script which is supposed to return the configured hostname and IP Address for a service associated with a role on a failover cluster. I'm using, e.g.. the following to retrieve the IPv4 Address:
    $a1 = Get-ClusterResource "MyServiceDisplayName"
    $b1 = Get-ClusterGroup $a1.OwnerGroup.Name | Get-ClusterResource | Where-Object {$_.ResourceType -eq "IP Address"}
    $c1 = Get-ClusterResource $b1.Name | Get-ClusterParameter | Where-Object {$_.Name -eq "Address"}
    and then I access the result via $c1.Value.
    I want to do the same for an IPv6 address. The information I don't have is the 'Name' attribute of the result of the Get-ClusterParameter command, that is the condition of the  Where-Object in the line which gives me $c1. (for the
    IPv4 Address I got it by running this on our test server, but that does not have IPv6 configured, so I cannot do the same in that case). Is it simply 'Address' as well?
    TIA, Thomas

  • How do I format based on the value of the @status attribute?

    Example: I use the @status attribute to indicate that a step in a procedure is new or that a paragraph in a concept is new.
    For review purposes, I want to format new text as green - preferably a green highlight, but green text will do.
    Example: I use the @status attribute to indicate that a step in a procedure has been deleted or that a paragraph in a concept has been deleted.
    For review purposes, I want to format new text as crossed out.
    Can this be done? If so, where do I set up the formatting for attribute values?
    Thanks in advance.
    Marsha

    Hi Marsha,
    If you want the formatting to be "locked in," that is, driven by the EDD, then Lynne's advice is the way to go. If instead it would be sufficient to temporarily color the desired elements as a format override, you could use the AXCM plugin:
    http://www.weststreetconsulting.com/WSC_AXCM.htm
    This plugin can do any nature of coloring, strikethrough, etc. based on attribute values and other markup. The coloring is applied as a format override and easily removed by a refresh of the EDD. The coloring features were mainly designed for conditional text purposes, but it would work in this case too.
    AXCM is completely free. Disclaimer... I own West Street Consulting and this plugin.

  • There are fewer columns in the INSERT statement than values specified in the VALUES clause. The number of values in the VALUES clause must match the number of columns specified in the INSERT statement.

    I have been looking at my code for hours now and cant figure out what is wrong. The error has kept popping up even when i thought i had fixed everything. maybe a second set of eyes could help me out here. If you could help me out it would be much appreciated.

    Price Numeric (20) NOT NULL,
    I do not think you understand this datatype?  Go look at the values you are attempting to insert into this column.  For example, "$29.99".  After the insert, what value is actually stored in that column?
    DateOfBirth Numeric (4) NOT NULL,
    No. Just No.  Either change the column name to faithfully represent what values you intend to store (and apply the appropriate constraints) or change the datatype and the values that you intend to store to match the column name.  And the constraint
    that you do have:
     CONSTRAINT DateOfBirth
     CHECK ([DateOfBirth] BETWEEN '1920-01-01' AND getdate() - 5844));
    is both logically suspect and syntactically wrong. First, the upper boundary will be computed as 1999-04-29 15:50:21.670.  But, of course, your column is a whole number of no more than 4 digits.  The same issue applies to your lower boundary.
    A simple select statement will show you those errors
    select cast('1920-01-01' as numeric(4)), getdate() - 5844, cast(getdate() - 5844 as numeric(4));
    An insert statement fails with the same error.  Because, of course, your boundary values must actually be converted to numeric(4) in order to compare them against the value contained in the column.   Generally, you can convert from
    string to numeric - IF the content of the string actually contains a value that is numeric and can be converted into the specific type needed.  Not so in this case.  Is this 16 year period (5844 days) significant for some reason?  You should
    document it here in your DDL with a comment, because it is unlikely to be documented (and kept current) anywhere else.
    And lastly, your script has:
    SET IDENTITY_INSERT dbo.CUSTOMER OFF
    That is not the name of your table, and therefore that statement also fails.  The table name you used is plural.

  • How to get the Key value in the value help?

    Hi All,
            I am using dropdown by key to display the values from the RFC. I am able to get the text by,
    ISimpleValueSet div = wdThis.wdGetContext().getContext().getModifiableTypeOf ("Header.VH_BUnit").getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
    return div.getText(wdContext.currentHeaderElement().getVH_BUnit());
    Please say how to get the key ?
    Thanks & Regards,
        Mugundhan

    Hi,
        Thanks for ur reply. wdContext.currentHeaderElement().getVH_BUnit() is returning the value in the dropdown only.
    Consider this line..
    return div.getText(wdContext.currentHeaderElement().getVH_BUnit() );
    More simillarly return div.gettKey(................); is there. What value should be given inside. if i gave wdContext.currentHeaderElement().getVH_BUnit() means, it sowing "Cannot convert from object to String " error.
    So i created an object like this,
    Object attributevalue = wdContext.currentHeaderElement().getAttributeValue(IPublicReportrtComp.IHeaderElement.VH__B_UNIT);
    But this too not accepting..
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Passing values to the TEXT AREA in .HTML page.

    Hi,
    I have data in internal table and in context node in custom CRM component.
    I want to display this data in the textarea field. Is it possible to display this data in the text area? Should we use JAVASCRIPT for this one?
    Can anyone please give me the smaple code for passing the values to the text area?
    Please help me.
    Regards,

    Hi Pushpa,
    You can set the internal table values to the text area field using SET_PROPERTY method .
    Check for the context node in which that text field is there ,then get that context nodes current entity .Next set required values to that text area field.

    I am guessing that since this is a labview exercise it is meant as a learning experience.  There are several ways to solve this problem, I have shown one way below.  I suggest that you try and come up with other ways on your own.  Feel free to ask any questions.
    Cheers
