AT NEW Satement

Hi Gurus,
Is it necessary that a field being used in AT NEW Satement should be in the first column of internal table?
Example: AT NEW Matnr.
Your help is highly much appreciated!

Hi,
Yes you must follow some hierarchy while using AT NEW Statement.
Say for example
AT NEW  FIELD_01.
      ENDAT.
  AT NEW  FIELD_02.
    ENDAT.
   AT NEW  FIELD_03.
     ENDAT.
  AT NEW  FIELD_04.
    ENDAT.
Then the structure of your internal table must be as follows,
TYPES : BEGIN                OF   ty_main,
FIELD_01(10)          TYPE c,     " 1st  field of the structure of internal table
FIELD_02(10)          TYPE C,     " 2nd  field of the structure of internal table
FIELD_03(10)          TYPE c,     " 3rd field of the structure of internal table
FIELD_04(10)          TYPE c,     " 4th  field of the structure of internal table
              vbeln                       TYPE vbeln,
        END of ty_main.
Hope it helps you,

  • Mac Pro will not sleep properly after installing new SATA BD-CD-DVD drive.

Hello and thank you in advance for time reading this.
I have been using a Mac Pro for 4 years and it never happened to me before.
This started almost immediately after installing a new SATA BD-CD-DVD Drive.
When the Mac is ordered to sleep, It shuts down 3 out of 4 Hard Drives
(I guess the one that doesn't is the OSX Drive) and It will not shut down the fans
and the display has no signal.
During that (when it won't sleep completely) the Mac is completely paralysed and it's unable to wake up.
Now, I've tried being patient and giving the Mac a ton of time to sleep.
In some cases it actually worked and the Mac did sleep completely and it was able to wake up,
but that defeats the purpose (being able to sleep and wake up in an in a few seconds).
In these few cases, the Mac took about 30 min to sleep.
In the rest of the cases the Mac never slept and I had to emergency shut it off from the power button.
In simply words, Mac falls into a "coma", not asleep but not awake at the same time.
As I said, this started exactly when I installed an SATA LG CH10LS20 optical Drive.
You may say that the Mac Pro does not support SATA for optical Drives.
This is why you should know that there is a SATA port on the motherboard of a Mac,
and with the correct method you can connect a SATA Drive AND be able to use it with out additional drivers.
    http://www.tomorrowland.com/guides/mac-pro-optical-drive-install-part-1/
Now, you may say that If I'm so sure that it's the new drive causing the problem, why don't I disconnect it?
Well, please try to understand me, it's an all new drive and it cost a good load of money...
and other users of the same drive do not have that problem... yet...
Is there a way for the drive (which otherwise works fine) and the Mac to coexist and work properly?
Do you really think it's the new Drive?
Is the motherboard bothered somehow by the new drive and wont go to sleep properly?
Any kind of help is welcome and
I thank you in advance if you can help me.

Thanks for taking the time to respond RedBaron, I don't have a USB aircard in this system but I do have numerous firewire drives. I haven't unplugged everything yet and restarted. That's a good tip. I think I will try that to see if that is the problem.
    Thanks again
    Chris

  • I recently bought the newest macbook pro with only 120 GB of disk space I need to upgrade and was wondering if this would work with my computer 500GB New Sata 2.5" hard drive?

I bought the newest macbook pro 13" with only 120 GB of space. I quickly used all of the space up and need a lot more. I was wondering if this disk is compatible with the model i have.
500GB New Sata 2.5" hard drive

Your best practical option is buying a 1TB external HD for $65
The "low" capacity of the SSD on the Air and entry level Retina are meant to be working platforms for these computers.
Meaning ALL your programs and your working data (stuff you use at least every week).
To try to use either the Air or  Retina as a storage platform of any king (lots of pics, music, movies etc.) is both not indicated or practical.
external storage, quality too, is absurdly cheap right now.
    You asked:
These are very expensive theres no way that an hdd drive would be compatible with my Mac?
    yes, a superslim external HD.
    see this: only 7mm thick
    http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Canvio-Portable-External-Drive/dp/B009F1CXI2/ref=s r_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1377642728&sr=1-1&keywords=toshiba+slim+500gb
Or better still this HUGE HD, which is very small, very reliable and very cheap:
    2 Terabytes, 2.5" and only $119

  • Trying to setup RAID 1 with new SATA drives on xserve 2009 model

Trying to setup RAID 1 with new SATA drives on xserve 2009 model
I have an Xserve rack mount model Xserve 2.26 Quad Core (EMC# 2279) with an Apple RAID card, 24GB RAM (running 10.9 Server software)
Purchased two Western Digital 1TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64MB Cache Black WD1003FZEX drives
It came with three 160GB SATA drives.  I'm leaving one of the original 160GB drives for the OS, but I want to replace the 2 other drives and set it up with RAID 1 (mirrored). I bought 2 brand new Western Digital 1TB SATA drives and formatted them on another Mac through Disk Utility with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) formatting.  I then placed the new drives in the Xserve and booted it up.  After I login it immediately gives me 2 error windows saying...
    "Apple RAID Card
The Apple RAID Card installed in your system requires your attention."
It has two buttons underneath this message allowing me to either select 'Ignore' or 'Open RAID Utility'
I've tried to RAID the drives the Disk Utility and through the RAID Utility with no success.
I have both drives mounted on the desktop, as separate drives, but I really need to set these up as a RAID 1.
I've been reading other forums, where others have been able to get this to work by using a jumper on certain pins (5 & 6)of the drive to back down the transfer rate to 1.5 Gb per second.  I tried that and it didn't work for me. Maybe I used the wrong pins -- I just don't know.  I'm also wondering if there is some Apple firmware that is required on these drives?  I'm asking for help from anyone who has gone through this same issue.  Thanks in advance.

UPDATE --  I had an issue with the RAID card battery, it was dead and I have since replaced it.  But I am still unable to setup the RAID 1 drive configuration.  Does anyone know if it has something to do with the faster transfer rates on these new drives.  Maybe they need to be clocked down with certain jumper settings on these Western Digital drives?  Or am I fighting a losing battle because these drives don't have Apple firmware?  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • New sata hd - not correctly mounted

    Greetings!
I bought a new sata-disc (diamondmaxtor 10 - 200gb) today and installed it without any problems, I also set up an ext3 partition but I have some problems with not beeing able to write and create files/folders on the disc.
My system is running arch 0.7.. the sata is put under /dev/discs/disc3  (linked to /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/disc).. also there is a link at /dev/sda (partition is at /dev/sda1)
In fstab I have written this line:
    /dev/sda1 /mnt/satan defaults,rw 0 1
I copied the line from my other ext3-partitions and added the option rw.. It works better now, but still get "read-only filesystem" sometimes - as normal user and root.
So... my question is.. what shall I have in fstab so the disc is mounted properly?

I have a sata drive. Here's my fstab:

  • Does the powermac G5 support the new Sata 3.0Gb/s Drive

I have the powermac g5 with twin 2.3 processors etc...it's the model that came out just before the most recent upgrades...Does anyone know if it supports the new Sata 3.0Gb/s Drives? If not...are the new drives backwards compatible?
    Thanks!
    JPT

The new drives are backwards compatible. Currently the Seagate 7200.9 version of drives are having problems so you probably want to avoid those for now.

  • Neo Platinum died after new sata introduced

I've had my PC for exactly one year and decided to add another Sata drive. After powering on everything seemed find and I was doning a format on the new drive in windows XP when the computer suddenly switched itself off.
No problem I though, perhaps the format had finished and rebooted except it had turned itself totally off. I powered the machine back on and got the blinking light on the front of the case as if it was going to boot, in fact it did reach the windows boot up screen a few times before shutting down.
After several more attempts and removing the new Sata drive it decided the give up the ghost and not work at all. I've tried the PSU in another old rig and that seems fine, any ideas would be appreciated.
    PLEASE HELP

I have similar problem with same mobo except that I did not try to add any new hardware. It just died on me and won't start again(no power at all).
First I thought it was my PSU. I tested it and it was OK. After I reset BIOS I've got fans running but only for 10 sec or so. D-bracket showed 4 reds and my CPU did not even warm up. I tested CPU in another mobo and it worked. So, now I'm going to RMA my Neo Platinum but have troubles to understand how to do that- instruction on msicomputer.com is misleading.
    So, try that:
    - reset your BIOS by jumper and/or by removing a battery
    - if fans spinning, but nothing else happened - check D-bracket leds
    - if they stay red, check your CPU (only way to do that is to stick it in different motherboard
    - if it works, RMA your motherboard.

  • My new HDD for Macbook pro 13" unibody is not recognized and I am using a new SATA cable

    Hey everyone,
I have a particular problem that I cannot seem to find an answer to.  My new 500gb internal drive for my Macbook Pro 13" unibody is not recognized.  The old HDD broke on me so I bought a new one but my macbook pro would not recognize it.  To troubleshoot that issue I purchased the SATA cable and replaced the old with the new.  The new HDD still will not show up in disk utility.
Please let me know what you think I may have missed or should do.
    Thank you

    jc1388,
Bring it to an Apple store Genius bar (make an appointment, so you don,t have to wait around forever) they will diagnose it for free and tell you your options/pricing. They have more extensive testing tools, maybe your logic board is failing/failed.
    best of luck

  • My system won't boot past POST after I plugged in my new SATA drive. (SATA noob

    I have a MSI K8n Neo 2 Platinum mobo with a Athlon64 +3500 and 1gig dual channel DDR 400. I currently have 2 drives set up a IDE primary (MAxtor 6Y120) and a IDE slave (Maxtor 6L080).
    I recently purchased a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 6L300S0 300GB Serial ATA 7200RPM Hard Drive w/16MB Buffer.
It is my first SATA drive ever so non the less I am a newb. I want to use it as a non Raid media storage device while my primary IDE remains my boot OS drive.
I plugged the SATA in to the sata one port and powered it. I enabled the SATA in the bios with RAID disabled. When the system boots up it does the memory chech and lists all the IDE devices. Then it says "Detecting IDE drives..." and just hangs there. The new drive spins so it definatly has power but occasionaly it make occasional clicking sounds.
Once it actually booted up and windows detected it. I decided to reboot it just to play it safe but it never would get past post screen again. I can boot up the system normally when I unplug the SATA cable.
Please help I need to know if I am doing something wrong or I should RMA the drive. THANK YOU!

  • Copying C: to new SATA

I recently installed a Samsung 160GB SATA HD, which I finally got to work thanks to Sake and Jocko - thank you. Now I'm thinking about copying C: to it and changing my boot order so SATA is C:.  What is the best way to accomplish this?
Also recently a friend asked me to try to figure out what was wrong with his computer and it appears his HD is toast,  I told him that I could format my old drive install it in his computer and load 98se for him for $100. With the $100 I could buy an identical SATA from NewEgg, so for $100 and some labor I will have gone from 120 GB ATA to 320 GB SATA. I would have to Transfer my other partitions to SATA, but with a little attention to the paths shouldn't be a problem. Having only been using SATA for about 12 hours I have no idea how stable it's going to be, am I converting a smooth running system into a nightmare?
    Any advice appreciated.

    Hi
What OS are we talking W98SE or XP?
If  XP the easiest way in to copy all your files to another disk, or at least a seperate partition. Then if the SATA is the only HDD installed, run the XP CD, use the floppy F6 to install drivers, then the XP setup will make a C: disk with alll boot files, then when it asks if you want to repair or do new install, repair will keep your existing files intact, new will either overwrite, or install to another partition of your choice
    Good luck

  • New SATA 3.0GB/s 2.5" 100MB/s hd's yet anyone ??

Has anyone yet installed the 2.5" laptop Toshiba or Fujitsu's MHW2160BJ hd's and know if they can run at SATA 3.0GB/s or is stuck at SATA 1.5GB/s by hardware ??
2x Guy's buying from Newegg.com has the Toshiba one but they did not say if it is running at 50% SATA 1.5GB/s or at full Speed SATA 3.0GB/s .
My old Hitachi SATA 1.5GB/s 100gb 7200rpm runs at 45MB/s in windows and 21MB/s in OSX 10.4.9. "win = roadkil diskspeed"
The double speed of the fastest one Fujitsu's MHW2160BJ 100MB/s would help a lot provided it can run at full speed.
    Any idea ?

  • New SATA drive showing as IDE drive in Bios

Just wanted to hear from some of you guys...not sure if this is right but seems weird for the bios to say my SATA drive is IDE..when its going through bios or if your selecting which drive to boot to first its listed as an IDE drive..could someone please tell me if this is correct...

    This is correct.

  • SSD no longer recognized - do I need a new SATA cable?

Approximately 2 months ago, I successfully installed a Samsung SSD (840 EVO) in the primary bay and original HHD into the optical bay. The other day, the computer froze, so I opted to restart. Upon restart the computer rebooted using my HHD. At first, the SSD was recognized but refused to boot using the SSD. I tried 'repairing disk permissions' and received a few errors. I erased the SSD and received the same errors. The following day I restarted the MBP and the SSD was no longer recognized. I pulled the SSD out of the bay (leaving the HHD in the optical bay) and connected with an external enclosure. The SSD was recognized via USB 3.0, so I re-formatted the SSD and was able to successfully boot from the SSD in the external enclosure. I then installed the SSD in the primary bay, but was not given an option to boot the computer using the now-internal SSD.
So, do I need to replace the SATA cable? Do I need to get firmware for the SSD? Are there other workarounds you can think of? Thanks for your help!!! - Ryan
