ATP check in R/3 gives popup for partners

When we do an ATP check from CRM in R/3 we get a popup from R/3 for all the partner functions that have been assigned multiple times the the sold-to. These are not even mandatory partner. Can we avoid this? Is there a middleware parameter that can be set?

Hi Pascal,
Middleware setting is only to activate the ATP call from CRM to R/3. It has nothing to do with the pop-ups you are getting. I don't remember on top of my head how to eliminate this situation. I think when you call ATP, the system is validating the partner functions. Check partner determination profile assigned to the transaction type. I believe you need to make some changes to the partner profile. Are you getting these pop-ups only for a particular transaction type?

CRM ATP Checking using R/3 & Immediate Delivery for Sales Order Type in R/3

We use CRM 4.0 and R/3 6.4.
I've configured CRM to do ATP Checking using R/3. The ATP Checking works fine if I change the Sales Order Type in R/3 to NOT create a delivery immediately.
I'm trying to find out if the combination of turning on CRM ATP using R/3 and Create Delivery Immediately for a Sales Order in R/3 are supposed to work properly together.
If anyone knows and or has this working, I'd like to know.

I am working with R/3 and I have the same problem.
Complete delivery is flowing down from the customer master for all order.
And then we have items on order which have different shipping point.
They all fail in background delivery and give the error ' customer requested complete delivery'.
Is there anyway to override this?

My question, is ATP check possible in Service Order for Sales Item? My requirement is that when i create a service order in the web UI with a sales item and drill down to the item level, i see the schedule lines assignment block but w/o any Confirming date, so i want to know whether the ATP check is happening or not. For example wen i create a sales order in web UI with a sales item and drill down into the item level, the schedule line AB shows me the Confirming date checking the ATP. But this is not happening in case of service order. So kindly suggest the reason and clarify my query. Thanks

ATP Check issue for storage location level

Hi Experts:
   I met a problem when carry out the ATP check, when I create the SO for material A 1 pcs and not maintain the storage location in sales order, ATP carried out and gave me the proposal delivery date(100 days later) for about this material, the system can not check the storage location level.
   the real situation is for material A, in stock 1000 has 100 pcs, in stock 2000 has 50 pcs, and in stock 3000 has 30 pcs.
   How can the system automatic check the storage location level even I not fill in the storage location in the sales order?

For this check
1)Youe storage location shd be automatically determined..Make sure you've done all settings in 0vlk/0vlp..
2)In MMR-MRP2 make sure you have entered Prod Storage Location..Also in OVZ9 check what stocks you have selected for ATP for particular check rule..
3)Also in VA02 Go to Environment-Availability overview..

Default ATP check for sales organization - which function?

Hi all.
If you for a particular sales organization make the settings in customizing, that all ATP checks should default be "Delivery proposal" for example, which function module is then checking this in sales order creation? I would like to do some debugging, but I cannot find any ABAP program/function module where this is being checked?

ATP Check in Sales Order

I have the following problem:
I am working on a custom ATP check for the Internet Sales Order. I am looking for the user exit or maybe a place when the ATP check is triggered for both cases:
1 initial material is entered and is checked in which plant is available of the requested quantity by ATP check
2. when the delivery date (First Date) on the item level is changed to the future date.
any ideas are welcomed. will award points.

For your second question, when the delivery date of the line item is changed, the system itself will do automatic ATP check. Also in transaction OVZ2, for the checking group, you can use the field accumulation (value 3) for availability check with accumulation and confirmed quantities.

How to configure ATP check for "create standard order in SD (OR type)"

first, I had check my stock, I only have ten PC
, but when I enter 100 PC in a OR order, and issue ATP check, it is carries out, why? I had set availavility check into 02 in MRP3 view

Availability check
1. Availability check is an integral part of the business process that determines if the required delivery quantity can be met on a required delivery date. For this purpose the system takes into account pre-delivery activities such as scheduling for picking or packing times and the time taken to produce or obtain the material. It also performs several background functions such as Backorder processing, rescheduling and ATP quantities.
2. Backorder processing: processing of a sales order that has not been fully confirmed or not confirmed at a certain delivery date.
3. Rescheduling: is a proposal of how u2013 confirmed quantities already assigned to a sales order can be reassigned to other sales orders that have a higher priority.
4. Available to promise (ATP): is a process of checking the available quantities of a material. The ATP quantity consists of warehouse stock + planned receipts (incoming stock) u2013 planned issues (outgoing stock). to examine stock on hand (CO09) proceed to logistics u2013 sales & distribution u2013 sales u2013 environment u2013 availability overview.
5. Replenishment lead time (RLT): is the time taken for the material to become available either internally (in house production) or externally (from a vendor). The most important things to consider during an external procurement are purchasing and MRP2 (procurement) views of MMR where the processing time for purchasing, planned delivery time and goods receipt processing time are taken into account. On the other hand internal procurement is based on in house production time (MRP 2 view) goods receipt processing time or alternatively RLT time, which is found on MRP 3 view.
6. RLT (Replenishment Lead Time) is the time taken for the material to become available. RLT is only used when doing an ATP check (Available To Promise). The value of RLT for a material is specified on material master record.
7. There are three types of availability checks u2013
Check on basis of ATP quantities.
Check against product allocation.
Check against planning.
Configuring Availability check through Checking Groups
1. The checking group + checking rule determine how the availability check is to be performed.
2. The checking group determines whether and how the system checks the stock availability and generates requirements for material planning. The checking group defines what type of requirements will be passed on i.e. summarized requirements (daily/weekly) or individual requirements for each sales order.
3. The checking rule applies to how the availability check is to be carried out at the transaction level. Note that you must define checking rules for each individual application such as for production orders for example. In Sales and Distribution, the checking rule is specified internally within the system and cannot be changed.
4. The checking rule, in conjunction with the checking group, determines the scope of the availability check for every business operation; that is, which stocks, receipts and issues are to be included in the availability check and whether the check is to be carried out with or without the replenishment lead time.
5. Briefly explaining the above u2013 checking group determines which type of requirement to be passed on to MRP whether it be individual or summarized and checking rule which is at the transaction level and can be configured independently for each application module, determines which stocks, receipts and issues to be taken into account. For performing an availability check checking group has to work in conjunction with checking rule.
6. Advantages of individual processing over summarized processing u2013
Backorder processing is possible.
You can access (MD04) order, line and schedule line individually which gives a greater control on available stock and requirements placed on stock.
The system automatically uses individual requirements in case of special stock items.
7. Required data for the Availability check to be carried out u2013
The Availability check must be switched on at the requirement class level.
The Availability check must be set at the schedule line level.
A requirements type must exist by which the requirements class can be found.
A plant must be defined in the sales order for each schedule line item (in other words plant must be defined for every material in MMR).
A checking group must be defined in the material master record in the MRP3 screen in the availability check field.
8. Configuring Availability check and defining Checking Groups u2013
Checking groups are introduced into the sales order based on the setting in the material master record.
SAP standard checking groups are 01 u2013 summarized requirements and 02 u2013 individual requirements or you can create your own by copying the standard ones.
Total sales and total deliveries columns are there to configure a checking rule to sum up requirements to post to MRP either individually or by day or week.
Block quantity required can be set if you want several users to be able to process the material simultaneously in different transactions without blocking each other.
The no check indicator is CHECKED when you DO NOT want the system to carry out ATP check.
9. Defining material block for other users u2013 the block check box is an indicator that enables you to block material master records of a particular material during the availability check and restrict other users from accessing same master record and reserve the material. If the block is not set, two users can confirm the same material at the same time for two different orders, not knowing if the stock is available or not. If you select this field, the material is blocked during the availability check and other users cannot: a) Make changes in the material master record. b) Create purchase orders for the material. C) Create orders for the material.
10. Defining default values for checking groups - Checking groups are introduced into the sales order based on the setting in the material master record.
However if there is no entry present in the material master record for the checking group, a default value can be set here, depending on material type and plant.
This default value will be used by the system depending on the material type mentioned in MMR and plant in sales order.
If an entry exists, this default value is over written by MMR.
11. Controlling Availability Check u2013 in this section, you tell the system what stock on hand and what inward and outward movements of stock it must take into account when performing the availability check in addition to whether or not to consider the replenishment lead time.
12. These settings are based on the checking group that is assigned to the material master record and the checking rule that is predefined and assigned to the sales and distribution transaction.
13. These settings carry out control both for sales order and delivery as well. This is due to the fact that you may want to include specific stock or incoming stock for the sales order, yet at the time of the delivery only include physical stock on hand waiting to be shipped.
14. It is possible to indicate to the system that you would like the availability check NOT TO CHECK the stock at the storage location level. This indicator is used to set the scope of the availability check.
15. It is used to switch off the check at storage location level. You create a reservation for a particular storage location. However, the scope of the availability check is set in such a way as to exclude the storage location. In this case, the system carries out the check at plant level only and does not take the storage location into account that is specified in the reservation.
16. Should you not want the system to automatically check RLT, you may indicate so here. RLT is the time taken for a material to become available. It is only used when doing an ATP check and is taken from MMR.
17. defining the elements in the availability check entirely depends on the business needs, but a few tips are given under u2013
When controlling the Availability check at the time of the sales order, a purchase requisition does not necessarily indicate by it is going to come into the plant.
A shipping notification on the other hand - a confirmed purchase order u2013 is a good indicator of receiving stock on a specified date.
It is always recommended not to select the shipping notifications for the delivery requirements type as you may not actually receive the stock into plant or warehouse for which you are creating a delivery.

our client is implementing GATP(SCM) and Variant Config(ECC 6.0)
when a Sales order is created for a Configurable Product of 20" width and 10" diameter, and with some other Characteristics, He wants the ATP check to be done for that particular product with specific width and diameter.
Is there any possible solution?

Assuming that you know how to configure Variant configuration in R/3, ATP check in R/3 I will list down the ATP set up and setup relevant to Variant Configuration in SCM.
APO side.
1.Check Definition of Characteristics and Class system:
SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Basis Settings -> Define Class System (CDP or Classical Characteristics)
2. Check Mode ( use same requirements class used in R/3 mat master)
SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP Check) -> General Settings -> Maintain Check Mode
3. Create a check instruction with your check mode and AE(make to stock SD order) combination and set up the desired ATP check method in it.
SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP Check) -> General Settings -> Maintain Check Instructions
4. Check Control with your ATP group and AE business event.

5. Don't forget to CIF classes and charecteristics
6. Maintain check mode, ATP group, PP/DS horizon, planning procedure 3 in product master.
If you want to trigger production you have to maintain planning procedure 5 in product master and appropriate settings for MATP like configure check instructions, production type Mutli level ATP. you have to have valid BOM and Routings, CIF PDS for the material, maintain production version in material master, etc. That will be quite a complex scenario again.
This should give you proper results. Hope this helps.

Avaliability check and ATP check for material in CO02 tcode

Hello All,
I have a requirement where i am building a portal for WM pick list . The requirment is like i enter a production order number on the screen and gives me the material and it's corresponding components. Now the user has the option to select these components (more than one at a time ) . Now, i have provided few buttons like ATP Check, Pick component etc.
I need to check the availabilty for the selected order components from the list. If the ATP check is successful and all the parts are available, then user can continue with the WM pick process and the Pick Component button becomes active.
Does anyone has any idea on how to find the availability for the individual component and if yes please provide the steps to do it.

MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API and BAPI_MATERIAL_STOCK_REQ_LIST
Please check the above two function module for your requirement .
you can use this function module in your customized progam to check the material stock.

After creating the supporting configuration, APO ATP checking is thereafter 'turned on' by creating and activating an ATP integration model in the ERP. Generally, it is done by material/plant combination. Therefore, if you turn on ATP checking for Sales orders, you also turn it on for all other types of docs (including deliveries) for that particular material/plant combination.
I hope you have thought out this whole process. The main reason for using ATP checking in APO is that APO has a richer suite of ATP solutions. If your business requirements are satisfied by the ATP checking in ERP, then it makes no sense to spend the money to implement ATP in APO. Your original issue had to do with making released production orders relevant for ATP for deliveries. If this is the only new requirement, then this can easily be managed in ERP. OVZ9>select your Availability check, with checking rule B (deliveries). Under "incl production orders" select 'F'. From a business perspective, this means that some of your deliveries will be created without stock on hand, and therefore will not be immediately shippable. You need to make sure that this process change is integrated throughout your warehouses.
And, to your final question. If your delivery item category(s) are already relevant for ATP checking in ERP, they will also be relevant for ATP checking in APO. Since deliveries do not use RBA, you do not have to worry about adding new ERP delivery item categories for the conversion to APO ATP checking. Most commonly in APO, one uses only the 'product check' (similar to the standard ERP ATP check) for deliveries.

ATP check for materials and ATP Confirmed Qty's

Good morning,
I have a question regarding the ATP.
If I have a 100 of box a in stock and I have 2 Planned Orders for 75 (total req on box is 150).
When I convert the first Planned Ord to a Prodution Ord, the ATP check will run and confirm that I have the 75 boxes required (as we want it), but if I then convert the second Planned Order I would expect the ATP to say that only 25 is available, but it is also telling me that the 75 boxes required are available.
Can I set the ATP to confirm/allocate the first 75 boxes to the first Production Order and when the second order runs ATP to only commit to 25?

Are you taking cylinder as returable packing item or not?
ex- For soft drinks or beverages industry it pretty common , they use thel returnable package material type and more over why you want use return sales order for this?
Note- Just plz explain scenario to MM and PP People also as availability check with all combination
