ATP date from PO confirmation type LA in make to order scenario

Hi,
I am facing a scenario that the confirm date in my SO should be the date of the confirmation type LA (inbound delivery) in the corresponding PO. Now I have set up the schedule line cat with account assignment cat M and item cat 0. The PO can be created fine, so what should I do next so that when the LA exists in PO, SO confirmation date will get update? Thank you!

Hello all,
I'm facing the same problem where the material availability date in the sales order will not get updated by the LA confirmation date in the PO. It only get updated by AB confirmation. My ATP check does include shipping notification and I'm running on version ECC6.0. Any idea?
Also, is there somewhere in IMG that specifies which confirmation category (e.g. LA, AB) to be included in the shipping notification of an ATP check?

Assigning data from one Table type to another structure

I have a table type X sent from one function module to another Proxy generated method which has the parameter defined as a structure.
I have declared a variable Y as a LINE TYPE OF X.
Then I have this statement which fills up the data.
READ TABLE X INTO Y INDEX 1.
The data is transferred from X to Y.
Now i need to send this to the proxy generated Function module which has a structure Z.
Now when i say MOVE-CORRESPONDING Y to a variable of type Z, it says it cannot be converted.
The structure in proxy generated FM has different data type but the same domain as that of standard one.
Everywhere it is prefixed with YY.
And also has one additional Controller tab inserted,
Can you guys tell me how to move the data from this table type to the structure.

Move corresponding values from variable X to this variable.
Append this variable to the table Z.

Hi Manish,
From my experience, you cannot change an existing attribute of a set type (esp. when it has a dependency).
You need to delete the attribute, save the changes and then re-create the attribute with new value table.
Also remove any dependencies before deleting the attribute.

If you forgot your encryption password:
Warning: Make sure it's a password you will remember or write it down for safekeeping. If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and forget your password, you can't restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable.

ATP - Make to Order Scenarios

Can anyone advise how ATP works for make to order scenarios? In the first place, shd there be ATP for make to order scenarios? Since the production order created is associated directly with that particular sales order.
1. w/o assembly processing
I noticed SO for this case is always confirmed based on lead time towards customer. However, any date changes in the production order does get updated into SO schedule lines. Why is this so? In the event if there's any delay, material availability shd be change due to change in order completion date. Why is different from case with assembly processing?

ATP:
Available-to-promise is the quantity of a material or part still available to MRP which can be used for new sales orders.
Available to Promise. It is the process of checking the available quantities of a material. The ATP quantity is equal to warehouse stock plus the planned receipts (incoming stocks). ATP takes in to account all movements into and out of the warehouse.
If selected, it can check the stock examined for ATP that can be safety stock, stock in transfer, stock in quality inspection, & blocked stock, although the planned receipts & planned issues of the stock associated with ATP may be purchase orders, purchase requisition, planned orders, production orders, reservations, dependent reservations, dependent requirements, sales requirements & delivery requirements.
The ATP quantity is calculated according to the following formula: ATP quantity = warehouse stock + planned receipts - planned issues.

Parsing the data from and xml type field

Hi - I have registered a schema and inserted arecord into the table with the xml type column. Now I want to parse the data from the xmltype field into a relational table. I have been using the following select statement to accomplish this - and it does work if there is data in all the selected fields but when the filed is null then the whole select statement fails and brings back 'no rows returned'.If the value is null I want the select statment to return null. please give any ideas.

Selecting date from table of type c.

Hi evrybody, it makes me sick i need to get data form database and fill combobox in required order (last item added to database - last firstName) actualy i already did that, but i'm useing DefaultComboBoxModel and all records are sorted in alphabetical order. Thanks very much for any help

The items in the JComboBox are displayed in the order in which you add them to the combo box. Use an order by clause in your SQL statement.

Delivery date in Sales Order for Make to Order Scenario

We are creating Sales order for MTO ... In that our requirement is to get the delivery date based on Production planning and not from RLT. ie we have configured RLT as 36 days, system calculates delivery date as 36 days from the date of order what ever be the order quantity but considering our plant capacity this is not possible. In our Production planning we allocate certain numbers per week. so when we give 100 nos order it plans as per the allocation if we see through MD73 it will give clear picture but in our sales order it shows delivery possible date as 36 days from date of PO. How to correct this.. it should calculate from the date of beginning of the production process.
Can any one help in finding solution for this

Requirement type change for Make to order

HI Experts,
Need your help in resolving a issue, We have scenario where same material can be a make or Buy based on one logic, For buy scenario i need to drop IC order.
To do thing functionality i am flipping requirement type of the line item in MV45AFZB, Problem is i am not able to get planned order generated even though i am able to flip the requirement type.
Should i need to change my logic in MV45AFZB or ZZ?

Why do you have to work with user exits to flip Requirement types?
Why don't you set up 2 item cats ( one for Make, another for Buy situation), (have the users) flip the item category manually in the order and drive the requirement type via item cat using 'Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction' config? If you don't want to flip the item cats, you may set up 2 different order types also.

Retrieving data from a relational table and CLOB as a whole XML file

I created the table lob_example and I have managed to insert XML document into it using XML SQL Utility. In this document I put contents of <DESCRIPTION> tag into CDATA section.

But I could not retrieve this data properly. I can think of only one solution - to parse and build the whole XMLDocument. I found the suggestion of another solution to use Oracle8i views to do that in http://technet.oracle.com/tech/xml/infoocs/otnwp/about_oracle_xml_products.htm, but this text is not clear enough for me.
I would like to quote the fragment from document mentioned above, which is ambiguous for me:

Finally, if you have a combination of structured and unstructured XML data, but still want to view and operate on it as a whole, you can use Oracle8i views. Views enable you to construct an object on the "fly" by combining XML data stored in a variety of ways. How to DEQUEUE data from AQ

I have one Advance Queue in which i have some data in XML form.I need to dequeue the XML from AQ and after parsing it,data needs to be inserted in some table.
I have created one procedure which Dequeues the data from Queue successfully and this procedure makes call to another procedure which inserts data into the required Table.
My problem is every time the data in my Queue is different,depending on the data of Queue it needs to be inserted in either Table1 or Table 2.
So,how would i recognize that which data is in my Queue,so that i can call the respective procedure to insert data in correct table.

There are two ways of confirming correct loads:
1. Level by Level Analysis
2. Comparision with Virtual InfoProvider
First method is by analysing data at each level. First at Database Table (if loading from R/3) or Excel (if loading from flatfile), then at extraction level (See data at RSA 3, not possible with flatfile). After this load data to BW through PSA and check the content of PSA. After that load it to Infoprovider and varify there.
Second method is to create a Virtual Infocube on the datasource (extract exact data through FM). And create a multiprovider by combining this Virtual cube and original Cube. Then create a Query with calculated key figures as difference of each key figures from two cubes. This way you can say that which value is not matching.
I suggest you the first method, but the standard way would be second one at highly critical loads where you cannot match huge ammount of data.
