I DO NOT want to create a file and attach the file, I want to be able to attach the string directly.
Thanks for the help.

Hello,
I am Francois. I am getting trouble with JAXB. I have the same error as you in your previous message.
" C:\java\workspace\books\build.xml:22: unable to parse the schema. Error messages should have been provided "
Do you find the reason why?
Have you a solution?

  • Writting attached file from SOAP message to a FTP folder

    Hi everybody,
    Our scenario is an interface which receives a SOAP message with a file attached. As we don't need to do any mapping into the attachment, we are supposed to deliver that file as it is into a FTP folder.
    Our problem is that we cannot find how to configure File comm channel to write the attached file and no the SOAP XML message which is what we are getting now. Any help on this?

    How can I include the attachment(which is on a local machine) in the above soap message?
    Is it posssible to send the attachment in the field "FieldAtthmt"?
    If it is possible to send an attachment with the soap message then how can that attachment be handled in XI?

  • How to attach a DOM object as stream to SOAP message?

    Hi friends,
    I want to attach a parsed XML document (DOM object) to SOAP message, but but I do not want to attach it as a String, instead, I want to attach it as a binary format, given a DOM object.
    Any one can help tell me what can I do for it? and what is the content type it should be?
    Thanks!

    I knew the Java Doc API, actually I can attach text string format, but since what I want is binary data (i.e, serialize form of DOM stream), it does not seem to work as attachment.
    1).if I use:
    attachment.setContent(doc, "application/octec-stream");it throws:
    javax.activation.UnsupportedDataTypeException: no object DCH for MIME type application/octec-stream
    2). if I use:
    attachment.setContent(doc, "application/xml");it still throws:
    javax.activation.UnsupportedDataTypeException: no object DCH for MIME type application/octec-stream
    3). if I use serailized form of the document String docString = DOMUtil.serializeDocument(doc);
    attachment.setContent(docString, "text/xml");I checked the docString, which is like this form:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <a xmlns="http://foo.org">
    <b>text</b>
    </a>
    but it throws:
    java.io.IOException: Unable to run the JAXP transformer on a stream null
    3). it only works if I use serailized form of the document, and set content-type to "text/plain"
    String docString = DOMUtil.serializeDocument(doc);
    attachment.setContent(docString, "text/plain");Any idea what is wrong here?
    Thanks!

    <i>1) In this scenario, can I access the Ms-Access locally with XI server?</i>
    Yes you can access

    Hi Experts,
    How do I simulate to send a SOAP message with an attachment? Can I use XMLSpy?
    Please help.
    Thanks,

    Ravi,
    With the generic SOAP client, it asks for the http based wsdl file location. But my wsdl has been generated by XI and I have the file stored on my desktop.
    Something to do with the path http://zpidd01:8030/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=NetworkPartners:NP_Order_BS:NP_SOAP_Sender_CC ??
    Stefan,
    my scenario is to send a SOAP request with attachment and post the attachment in ECC through the ABAP server proxy.
    WebService Client -
    SOAP----> XI -
    ABAP PROXY CALL ---> ECC
    Need further assistance from both of you how to achieve this scenario.

  • Outbound SOAP Message with Attachment

    The requirement is to invoke a web service by sending attachments in the outbound SOAP message. The attachment body needs to be assigned in the message flow, using an element E1 extracted from the message incoming into the flow.
    I am trying to use attachments variable to set content-type (text/xml) and body using E1. However, these are not getting assigned to attachments variable, as seen by logging the variable.
    I was told that $attachments cannot be changed inside the flow (it is marked black in the console unlike the header and body that are marked green). If that is the case, how do we invoke services using attachments from a message flow?

  • SOAP Sender Adapter Attachment Handling in Response message

    Hi Experts,
    I have a SOAP <> XI <> Proxy scenario where an external WS client sends a SOAP request and receives a SOAP response along with an attachment.
    The problem is that the WS client is unable to retrieve the attachment from the SOAP response although the SXI_MONITOR shows both the payload and attachment beign sent out. In the SOAP sender I 'DO NOT' tick the 'Keep Attachment' parameter.
    If I tick the 'Keep Attachment' parameter, then the payload and attachment both goes as attachment.
    I need help in writing an adapter module which would ensure that the payload remains as the main payload and only the additional attachment goes out as an attachment.

  • Converting String to SOAP Message

    Hi,
    I have a problem in conveting a String to SOAPMessage.Can anybody help in suggesting a way. or atleast make me known wether it is possible to do this or not.
    -vyas

    I don't think you can "convert" a String to a SOAP message. If you read the SOAP specification, http://www.www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-soap12-part1-20011217/, you'll find that you'll have to decide where you want your String to go. If it is xml-formatted, a subelement of the SOAP body element would be a good place for it. If it is not an xml-formatted String, you will have to send it as an attachment.
    Sun's JAX-RPC or JAXM is a good place to start.

    we have a scenario where a SOAP sender receives a xml message describing several documents. Each document has a mime type and a file name, size, md5 checksums etc as attributes.
    The documents are send as attachments with the same Web service in SWA(SOAP with attachment style).
    The web service calls an ABAP proxy provider class in a R/3 backend.
    The ABAP proxy class will save the attached documents for further processing and must use the original document names.
    At the soap communication channel monitoring(Java Stack) we still see the original attachment names in the message content tab.
    At the Integration Server(sxmb_moni) the attachment name changes to attachment-1, attachment-2 and so on.
    Using the method
    IF_AI_ATTACHMENT ->GET_DOCUMENT_NAME
      in the provider ABAP proxy class returns the name attachment-1.
    We can see that there is a mapping of the new attachment-1 name to the old, original name in the manifest section of this message on the Integration server.
    Is there a way to access the manifest section at a provider ABAP proxy class?  Or otherwise a PI configuration setting to preserve the original attachment names.
    Thanks a lot,
    Heiko
    => PI 7.1 SP9

    Hi Stefan,
    (I was hoping you would find that thread ...)
    I see a good reason why the attachment names are changed as the PI message protocol sends the main document as an attachment as well. So no problem with that because the information of the mapping old to new names still exists in the manifest part and is visible at the sxmb_moni.
    We see a manifest part like this (Sorry cant post the whole xml doc as the formatting for longer messages isn't working in the forum)
    <SAP:Payload xlink:href="cid:4cc43edd-839f-423f-b7c6-7e44294d663a_sig.p7m">
      <SAP:Name>attachment-1</SAP:Name>
      <SAP:Description>attachment</SAP:Description>
      <SAP:Type>ApplicationAttachment</SAP:Type>
    </SAP:Payload>
    The (red) cid entry is the original file name. This manifest is from the sxmb_moni in the r/3 backend. So all the information is there..  The question is how to retrieve this information .. Any idea?
    Best Regards,
    Heiko Bergmann

  • Attachment support in SOAP in OC4J

    I have a question on OC4J 9.0.3 about handling attachments along with a SOAP request or response message. I am evaluting the use of Microsoft SOAP Toolkit 3.0 in building a C++ SOAP client. In the SOAP Toolkit 3.0 Microsoft claims that it supports sending attachments along with SOAP request or response message to enhance preformance by reducing the overhead of data encoding. For example, sending a file as an attachment rather than as the body of a SOAP message.
    Does OC4J has the ability to such handle attachments?
    Thanks,
    Edmond

    Oracle SOAP is based on Apache SOAP and does support attachments through MIME. Oracle9iAS J2EE Web services build on top of that, does not have support for attachments. To get Oracle SOAP you just deploy the soap.ear that comes with OC4J (<OC4J_Home>\soap\webapps\soap.ear) you should be able to run the standard Apache SOAP 2.3.1 attachment sample - if you are using JDeveloper, the stand-alone OC4J comes pre-configured with Oracle SOAP.
    The attachment sample is only included in a full install of Oracle9iAS, not with the stand alone OC4J. So, if you don't have a full Oracle9iAS install, the best way to get the attachment samples is to take the samples that you can download with Apache SOAP 2.3.1 on xml.apache.org/soap - see http://xml.apache.org/soap/docs/guide/attachments.html for doc. Bear in mind the long term support for Oracle SOAP is being deprecated in favour of JAX-RPC and the goal will be to use that standard's attachment support.
    Mike.
