Attach the response file to Email notifications

Is there any way to automate the download of the response file, perhaps allowing it to be attaqched to the Email notification?

Problem in attaching a xml file in Email Notification

Hi,
I am new to BPEL. I am using 10.1.3.4 Jdev. Facing a problem in attaching a xml file in Email Notification process. I do not get any email when ever the attachment is a xml. Whereas when the attachment is a pdf, i get the pdf in the mail. I have put the mime type as text/xml. Used ora:doc() to read the xml. Dont know what i am missing. Please help me out. Thanks.

If the name of the alternative response page is static,
you can specify it by an alternative <navigation-case> element
in the same <navigation-rule> element.
If you want to dynamically decide the name, the following code may help you:

Attach Files to Email Notifications

Has the below feature been added - Providing the actual attachment (or more likely a direct link to an attachment)? Thanks!

The email notifications only list the filenames and provide a general link back to the response file. Providing the actual attachment (or more likely a direct link to an attachment) is a very good idea. Will consider that for a future release.

Why do I have to resave the response file in another name?

Sometimes when I add responses or edit a response already gathered in the response file I have to save the respones file with another name?
The strange thing is that sometimes I can edit a response and save the response file without any trouble?
Right now, I have to save the response file, delete the old file.. which dosnt feel right.
Anyone else who has encountered this or know how to solve it?

Separating out a podcast app is a step backward. From a marketing perspective, podcasts are seen as something independent from music and television. But from a functionality POV, it just makes it harder to manage your audio on your iPhone.
Consumer Technology's objective has always been to make one device do more things, i.e. combine a phone into a music player. This step is akin to taking the ability to text and spinning it off onto a gadget you attach to your key-ring.
It's still there, but annoying to dig out when you want to use it.

Where are the response files going?

I know someone who created a form in Acrobat software and has chosen to distribute the software in acrobat.com. What she did was the sent out emails where people has open access to the file and but once the form has been completed, she sometimes received the response in her response PDF file in her desktop but most of the time she doesn't. People who submitted the form has been informed that their "response has been submitted" but she doesn't receive a response. Is there anyway to retreive all the response files that are shared through acrobat.com individually? Where in acrobat.com are the responses stored and how can she retreive them?

Why won't the responses file open when I receive a submitted form

Hi all, We have recently started to use Acrobat Pro X for editable pdfs. When training was done (all work contained was created on our server) the responses file opened as it should when a submitted form was received. Now trying to use these forms "live" the response file doesn't open. The wording to double click the file and select the response file is in the body of the email of the submitted form but instead of the response file opening the form opens. Anyone have any ideas??

It does seem to be happening to all forms received. We are using Adobe Acrobat X Pro to create the editable pdfs.
When you ask "being used to save the forms?" do you mean from the person submitting the form back to me? If that is the case then Acrobat X also.

I want to update forms in the response file and save it. Sometimes it works, but often I need to save the response file in another name. Very inconsequent! How come?

I have a form that I am sending out and compiling in the response file. These forms I also want to be able to update after receiving them (when I have them in the response file).
But when I do the updates I need to re-save the response file with another name? The strange thing is that sometimes I can just update and save exactly the way I want it. But most of the time I get the message "This file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
Can someone please help me to figure out how to solve this issue. I know that I am the only one that has the file open. I am encountering the same issue in both Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro X. (File was created in Acrobat Pro 9)

A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

The data in the file [file name] has already been added to the response file

I'm obtaining this error when trying to import(Add) new PDF forms into the PDF Portfolio response file distributed with PDF's. It's a new problem. I've never seen this before. In fact, I imported a few dozen forms back in November. Now, I can only import one PDF form, after which this error is returned for any attempt to import additional PDF's.
I have renamed PDF's, redistributed the Portfolio file, and hunted for any unique identifier in the PDF forms that might be tracked in the Portfolio file, or perhaps a database of imported documents which might now be corrupted. As ANY PDF form can be imported, but only one form, I am suspicious that the issue isn't related to uniqueness, but rather related to something problematic with the PDF forms themselves, or the Portfolio file.
Now I'm completely stumped. Any ideas?
The same behavior appears in both environments that I use: Acrobat 10.1.4.38 forms (Reader Enabled) built and distributed with LiveCycle Designer ES2 Version 9.0.0.2.2... on XP Professional and on Windows Server 2003.

Hi I had the same problem, it was telling me that 'a.pdf' was already in the response file although the data wasn't there. I exported all the data from that response file as a .csv and in the first column it had 'a.pdf' incorrectly listed in the same row as data from 'b.pdf' but 'b.pdf' was not listed as a source file. I deleted this offending row from the response file and then imported 'a.pdf' and 'b.pdf' again and it worked.
Hope that helps, no idea what caused the glitch although both 'a.pdf' and 'b.pdf' were submitted by the same person in a short time frame so maybe that has something to do with it.

Well, you might think that. But you would be wrong.
I'm not aware of any unix OS with an undelete function at the filesystem level.
Such things don't tend to work well in a multiuser/server environment where lots of things are writing to the disk in the background.
And trying to guess what the filesystem used to look like is a good way to court random file system corruption.

Restoring or attaching the *.mdf file

I am trying to attach the *.mdf file then i am getting the error 1813.
The problem occurs when our development database transcation running out of memory disk, then I dettach database and at the time of dettaching database some of users are connected. I kill the session of all users.
After I deleted the log file. Now when i am trying to attach the database then I am getting the error no 1813.
Anybody urgent reply

1) move the existing .MDF file to a new location (to backup)
2) Start SQL Server Enterprise manager, and create a new (dummy) database where the .MDF file is the exact same name and size of your old/existing .MDF. The ldf file can remain at 1mb in size. 3) Stop the SQL Server service and copy only the .MDF to the location of the new/dummy .MDF file. 4) Start SQL Server. At this point, the database should come up as suspect. You will then want to place the database into emergency bypass mode and rebuild the Transaction log. This can be accomplished by performing the following steps: a) Change the database context to Master and allow updates to system tables. Note you will be performing this within Query Anayzler:
Use Master
go
sp_configure 'allow updates',1
reconfigure with override
go
b) Set the database in emergency bypass mode:
Select dbid, name, status from sysdatabases where name = '<database name>'
-- Note the value of status and write it down for future reference
begin tran
update sysdatabases set status = 32768 where name = '<database name>'
commit tran
c) Stop and restart your SQL Server. At this point, the database will come up in emergency mode. At this point, you will be able to browse, but not update any data within the database. d) We will now want to rebuild the log/ldf file. To do this, you will want to run the following: DBCC rebuild_log('<database name>','')
If you do not receive any errors, we will want to reset the status of the database by running the following commmand and restarting SQL Server:
use master
exec sp_dboption 'database name','single user',true
go
begin tran
update sysdatabases set status = 0 where name = '<database name>'
commit tran
e) set database option to not allow updates to the system tables: sp_configure 'allow updates', 0
reconfigure with override
go
f) stop and restart SQL Server
When the server restarts, you will then want to launch Query Analyzer and run the following to validate the database and check the overall integrity: use master
go
sp_dboption '<database name>','Single user',true
You will then want to run the following:
DBCC checkdb('<database name>')
