Attached files with Services objects in a equipment

Hi everyone
I have many attached files in functional locations and equipments, using the attachment list of "Services for objects" (files and URL's).
Also, we are moving the maintenance structure to other server and the user dont want to lose the attachments.
Do you know a program(s) or function(s) for downloading the files and upload them again?.
Do you know if exists a server directory with all files attached in functional locations or equipments?

Hi Sandeep,
I am not totallt getting your point but can suggest following points:
1. Check whether these object are displaying in DIR's as object links.
2. If it is there then it shoud be displayed in document data of those objects.
3. Check that documents are properly checked-in.

But compilation error at import AP.FO.ACTIVITY.GLOBAL., so not able to work with that lines of code.
I am using these lines of code to send email.
EMailUtilities.SendEMail(lang, bcc, cc, toAddress, htmlContent, from name, subject);
So am not able to getting how to attach file with this code.
Please help me regarding this.

i can' t believe it but after 3 hours of reading everything i could find on this subject i discovered the answer on accident: IT'S THE CLOCK!!!!! I know that it sounds crazy but go to settings and go to date and time and set it to the automatic date and time, even if it's the wrong time. after i did that, everything worked perfectly! aldiko accepted my adobe id and imported my purchased book happily. i hope it is that easy for everyone, best of luck.

Attach file with Vendor in MDG-S not using T-code

Hi Experts,
In MDG-S while creating change request in attachment option if I attach any file that is getting deleted on after activation . My requirement is to store that file with vendor.
Please suggest me the way to achieve that.

Hello,
First of all, attachments are not deleted upon approval (at least in all the systems I worked with the attachment is still available after CR approval).
Any way, if you want to transfer the attached file to the vendor, you will have to build a custom functionality (function module or method) to read from the MDG tables USMD1211 and USMD1212 and transfer the files to the actual object GOS attachment. You can find instructions and hints on how to do it (for example, google "create SAP GOS attachment").

How to save a file with smart object?

I have just created a file from LR2, by choosing 'open as smart object' in PS.
I then added a cloning layer and did my cloning.
When I wanted to save the file, instead of PS turning it in into a PSD with the same name, I now suddenly got the 'save as' pop up screen and '-2' as the recommended name. The original folder where the file came from was not shown.
I don't know what that's all about, but I'd prefer it would just save the file as a PSD and automatically show the file alongside the NEF in LR2, like it does when I don't use the 'open as smart object' feature. Is this typical for working with smart objects opened straight from LR2?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, like this you open the file s a smart object, so if you want to now clone on a layer but want it to be a part of the smart object then you go to the layer panel and click on the smart object's icon there to edit the smart object and you hit save (command S) and it will save with that layer to your original.
then when you click the tab or the window that has the original opened as smart object those changes will be reflected, but you will not see your cloned layer active as that is a part of the smart object and you have to open the smart object to get to it.

Yes that is what I say that is what a smart object is, you are using the smart object as a part of another document( that is why you are being asked to save as, as this new documents you can now make changes which will not effect the original which is the smart object unless you rasterize it which will make it no longer a smart object.
What good is a smart object, well there are many say you are using this document or image if you wish in say five projects and the image has been retouched and it is determined it should have some more work done to it all you have to do is retouch the smart object and all five projects are updated.
You see smart.
And of course you can d things to all five projects that can be different from one another on other layers without ever destroying the work you have done to the smart object.

I copied the following classes and changed them in some way to fit my requirements:
1.CL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS
2.CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST
3.CL_LIST_BROWSER
Changes to the Classes:
1.Type of the attribute GO_INSTANCE changed to ZCL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS.
   Changed method INIT_BROWSER:

2.Type of the attribute GO_ATTACHMENT_LIST changed to ZCL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS

I can load an Applet .class file with an OBJECT tag...

How can I load a .jar file? I foolishly believed I could replace "myclass.class" with "myjar.jar" in the <PARAM> tag associated with an <OBJECT> tag, and if I had created my manifest file correctly, the Main-Class in my .jar would have its init() method called upon IE load of the web-page. But alas, it is not that simple.
Is there an incantation of the <OBJECT> tag that is appropriate for .jar files?

In older versions of Elements PSA files were associated with Photoshop Album which has now been replaced by the Organizer. Elements has no 3d functionality for supporting space planning files but these files can normally be exported or saved by the originator as a bitmap or pdf file. Those could then be opened in PSE. I suggest you explore the possibilities of file conversion with your original source.

Wsdl file to service object creation

Is it possible to regenerate the Service objects from the wsdl file?
Actually, in XI we have to pass the MessageInterface, Business Service and Communication Channel to create the WSDL file from Integration Directory. My question is Vice versa, is it possible?

Photos, graphics and attached files with emailsI

I have the following problem with emails containing photos or graphics or when loading attached files : Half of the time, I cant see photos or graphics, I have empty frames. Loading attached files will never start and stay at 0 % I have set to load pictures. But even with the parameter set to "do not load picture " and using the " loading photos " button it s the same : not always working. Do you have it too? I have also the "retreiving... " message when I want to read mail. Thank you.

Am I the only one to have this issue ?
If someone could answer me : form time to time (half of the time...) I can't see photos or graphivs in my mails, I just have an empty frame...

Cfmail: attach file with cfmailparam?

I created a form several years ago that allows users to submit maintenance requests. They check a box if they want a receipt sent to their own email.
The requests do not get captured in a DB- simply sends to email.
This all has been working fine- I am now attemping to add document attachment capability- I am obviously not using the correct method.
The form itself has:

Button Actions for Attached Files with Limitations

I have a slide with 5 buttons with the action to open up a pdf; one for each button. Yet it seems that only 3 buttons will work no matter the order I click on them. Does anyone know if there is a set limit to attached files that can be placed on one slide?

Hi there
No set limit I'm aware of. But it might be related to timing and pause points if you didn't properly configure the buttons.
You should configure each button so it opens in a new window and the project does not continue playing.
Another thing to check is the naming of the PDFs. When you upload to a web server it may be the case that you perhaps specified SomeFile.pdf in the link but the file is actually named SOMEFILE.PDF or somefile.pdf. (case can factor in here)

Upload and Attach file to Service Notificacion through Web Dynpro

Hi,
I need to upload and attach a file (Word, PDF, TXT ...) to Service Notificacion (TX - IW53) through Web Dynpro.
I have used the integration component "File Upload" to obtain the "fileName" atribute. Also, I have used the functions SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD, SO_INSERT_OBJECT and BINARY_RELATION_CREATE_COMMIT.
But have a problem, because the function SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD use the class "cl _ gui _ frontend _ services" and that clash with Web Dynpro.
My question is: how could I resolve that problem?
