Wsdl file to service object creation

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to regenerate the Service objects from the wsdl file?
Actually, in XI we have to pass the MessageInterface, Business Service and Communication Channel to create the WSDL file from Integration Directory. My question is Vice versa, is it possible?
Regards
Sara

Hi,
Not so sure but given you have xsd and wsdl you can generate DT and MI.
Intresting queryyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Is there a way to restore. Thanks.

I would re-run FIM setup - I think it can re-create this account

  • Service object creation

I was asked to create rules with the following TCP ports: 41000, 41002, 41025. Since these ports did not exists, I just created new TCP service objects. The issue is I put the those ports as source port/range and destination port/range in the Add Service Object box.
I feel like I already know the question before I ask it, but should I have used "default (1 - 65535)" in the source port/range field just like the other TCP ports?
I've attached a snapshot of the Add Service Object box.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
Personally I never configure any ACL rules or NAT configuration on the ASDM
I assume that you are trying to configure an "object service" to the destination ports that you are going to allow in some ACL?
If this is correct then I would assume that you just define the destination port section of the "object service" configuration and leave the source section blank as we dont want to define the source port range.
The "object service" lets your define both the source and destination port under the same "object service" but I dont find it that usefull.
I usually configure all the ports I need either inside "object-group service" or "object service" and only define the destination port as that is usually the one we are more interested about.
    Hope this helps

  • Attached files with Services objects in a equipment

    Hi everyone
I have many attached files in functional locations and equipments, using the attachment list of "Services for objects" (files and URL's).
Also, we are moving the maintenance structure to other server and the user dont want to lose the attachments.
Do you know a program(s) or function(s) for downloading the files and upload them again?.
Do you know if exists a server directory with all files attached in functional locations or equipments?
    Thanks for suggestions.

  • Workshop 10.0.1 - Generating service control from a WSDL file

    Hi!
I've been familiarising myself with Workshop (version 10.0.1).
There is a feature that allows the generation of a web service control by right-clicking a WSDL file (Web Services > Generate Service Control).
This process creates a jar file containing the WSDL's complex type.
My only problem with this is that the jar uses the namespaces as package names (for example: www.openuri.org will be converted into an org.openuri package).
I've been searching for a way to customize the package names, but I've been unable to find it. We previously used Axis to generate a web service client, and we ran an Ant task that could map namespaces to packages.
Would there be a way to achieve this in Workshop?
    Thank you!

    Hi
This is a known issue and a limitation. Service controls doesn't honor xsdconfig files when generated from wsdl file.
We have an enhancement request CR307698 pending to address this issue. It looks like it's a big change in code to get this working so it is being looked at in the next release.
Also, you can call BEA support / create a case in future and request status on this CR anytime.

  • Wsld file for service description ?

We are planning for web service to provide our information to third parties , to describe to third parties what our web services will provide do I need wsdl file ? We will start development on web services some time mid next year ,
and now I must tell the tell parties what all information our services will provide , just to tell what my services can provide , should I create a wsdl file ? I know little about web services , but I know wsdl file contains service name parameters etc which I cannot have till I start the developnment , please suggest me what options I have to inform third parties about my service ?

You will have to have at least a design for the service that you intend to provide. It doesn't have to do anything yet but you need to know now what it will do.
In some respects, this is a software development process question. Is the design already solid? Do you have a well defined interface to your service in the documentation? Or is this like every company I've ever worked for - you have a basic idea what the service will do but you don't know the details? The fact that you know that you're not going to implement for 6+ months tends to imply that you do have some software development processes in place. If so, you should know the design already.
So, after you've figured out what your design is I would write some skeleton code and let JAX-WS generate the WSDL based on that. This forms the basis for your implementation.
However, if you only have a general idea of what the service will do then you're in a very tough situation. Your only hope is to provide a versioning capability in your service so that you can accept messages in multiple formats. This allows you to move forward with development while the third parties catch up to the current version. This makes your QA process a real beast as you must test for any supported format. Additionally, you will end up frustrating the third party consumers of your web service as they will get a new WSDL every time you realize that you need to make a change.
Do not fall for the feel good alternative - passing a list of key/value pairs. While easily upgraded with new parameters you'll forever be documenting the keys and values and that is what WSDL should remove.

    Guys,
You are asking about an issue that was a pain in the nick for me few months ago. The problem is that you won't find mych help here as I figured out that Apex geeks here either did not do much webservices or ended up hating it as i do :) . This is an error that can be due many different reason, let me ask you this:
1- Does your the other system you are trying to call through webservices using HTTPS ?
2- If yes, did you create a valid oracle wallet for that https connection ?
3- Make sure you are using the correct URL ( am sure you do, just double check )
4- If using a proxy, then you have to define that in the web service reference creation page
provide more info and I hope I can help you with this,
    Sam

    Regards,
    Pranjali

    Hi Pranjali,
WSDL is a document written in XML. The document describes a Web service. It specifies the location of the service and the operations (or methods) the service exposes. WSDL types are used to describe the data. XML Schema is used (inline or referenced) for this purpose.
Refer to the below link for more deatils on WSDL:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_Services_Description_Language
Also there are numerous documents avaiable on this topic, just do a google search.
    Hope this helps!!

  • ?WSDL for Business Service or WSDL File

I know that you can append a ?WSDL to the end of a Proxy Service to access the WSDL File for the Service.
Is there a REST/GET way to do the same thing to access a Business Service or a WSDL or a Schema directly?

  • Web Service WSDL File Generation

hello everybody, I have an outbound interface with sender soap adapter to work as a web service, I tested it by generating the wsdl file in the integration directory, and I tested it with altova xmlspy and it works really fine, but now I have a problem another aplication needs to call the webservice, but when they try to import the wsdl file it turns out that in their system they can only import rpc files and not document style files, is there a way to generate a RPC file from an xi interface, or is there a third tool to do this conversion, or what needs to be done, has anyone found this problem before??? thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Julio Cesar

    Hi ,
As far as I am aware of ...
3 SOAP encoding styles are there :
SOAP Remote Procedure Call (RPC) encoding, also known as Section 5 encoding, as defined by the SOAP 1.1 specification and later defined in SOAP 1.2 as RPC encodings and conventions
SOAP Remote Procedure Call Literal encoding (SOAP RPC-literal,) uses RPC methods to make the call but uses an XML do-it-yourself method for mar-shaling the data.
SOAP document-style encoding, also known as message-style or document-literal encoding.

  • How can i include Services and Bindung in a generated WSDL file?

    Hi,
i what to use a generated wsdl file from an erp system, to build a web service client with WSDL2Java (org.apache.axis.wsdl.WSDL2Java).
I noticed, that services an bindings are missing, also a policy is included.
How can i include services and bindings in the wsdl and exclude the policy?
    Thanks!

well, I assume you have SOAMANAGER.
choose your service & "Apply Selection" (very useless button btw)
select a binding in the dropdown box or create on if you do not have one yet
Click button "Show WSDL options" (actually they do not really look like buttons in WD; call it yellow blot)
Some extra config area is thrown onto your screen (without any sense for usability or design); Change the radio button for WSDL format from "WS policy" to "Standard"; make sure the first radio button group is on "True" for monolithic
Now click the link (why is this a link and no blot?) called "Display selected bindings WSDL URL"
an extra text field is again thrown onto your screen somwhere between the dropdown and the WSDL option config area containing an URL (get out your glasses if you don't see the sub-10pt-letters)
    hope it helps,
    anton

  • Wsdl file that is used in bpel (ejb web service)

    hi all,
i have created a product table in the database and then i created an entity product class from the table,
after that i created session bean and publish this session bean as a web service.
During creating session bean --> i chose Business tier00--> session bean --> include Web Service Endpoint Interface-->
i got the interface ProductSessionWeb Service (java file) but i am wondering why in the class i need to import and do anotation @WebMethod on my own the tool does do this for me.
After adding anotation @WebMethod for an operation (selectAll) in order to select product table.
i deployed this web service on oracle application server. it was sucessful and i tested this web service . it returned the product data that i expected.
    1. However, i can not find WSDL file in the directory that i created.
    2. i can only see wsdl file from my address location on (Explorer)
    3. How can i generate WSDL file from this application because i want to use this wsdl file in order to drag this (web service )file using in my bpel process.

The webservice code and its wsdl is generated when deployed to the application server based on the annotations, method signature, etc. In a top-down/contract-driven approach you would construct the wsdl yourself and then add the implementation. Both methods have their pro's and cons.
If you want the wsdl locally, you can just open it in the browser and save it to disk. In the BPEL editor you can also point to the URL instead of the filesystem when defining a partnerlink.

  • SSIS Not Detecting Input Service or Method from WSDL File

I have a WSDL file saved locally (first downloaded from a developer kit, which instructs to save it locally and NOT download it from a public URL), and I'm trying to use it in a Web Service Task in SSIS (2008 R2 Enterprise Edition). I'm pointing to the local
file in the Web Service Task Editor (General tab). The HTTP Connection is pointing to a URL that has had a successful test connection in the HTTP Connection Manager.
However, the Input tab dropdown menus for selecting Service and Method are blank. I'm not getting any errors about the WSDL file itself. It looks to be well-formed and valid. I'm not sure why SSIS isn't detecting the services and methods from the WSDL document.
I tried saving a different WSDL document locally from
http://graphical.weather.gov, and that worked in a different Web Service Task. I'm guessing there's something wrong with the structure of the WSDL. I saw this
