Attachment Upload Clasification

Hello Guys:
Currently I have a requieremnt to clasify the attachments you can upload into SRM transactions (Bid Invitations, Bids and Contracts). It is requiered to identify or load files into diferent sections.
Currently when you load files all of them are contained into the same Overview Attachment Table, is there any way to split this table into sections with different name and decide into which section a file will be uploaded?, or create an additional column in order to identify the type of attachment? I think the change must be done into the internet service bbp_bid_inv but how can I identify the code which generates the "Documents/Attachments Overview" section?

We did it using an external .jsp which contains something like this:

Slow attachment upload with Exchange Web Services (Outlook 2011 for Mac?)

We're experiencing slow attachment upload with Exchange Web Services versus MAPI, OWA, and Outlook Anywhere. I'm not totally certain that it is Exchange Web Services or specifically Outlook 2011 for Mac. I attempted to test with the Mac Mail
App, but it makes it difficult to tell when the attachment has been uploaded and the file has been sent. Here's what we're seeing (10mb file):
MAPI / RPC/HTTPS / OWA: 10-15 seconds upload time
Exchange Web Services (Outlook 2011 for Mac): 60-90 seconds upload time
Thoughts? Any idea why we would see such a drastic difference in attachment upload time? Any way to prove definitively that it is Exchange Web Services vs. Outlook 2011 for Mac? We've tried it from multiple locations with multiple different machines,
and although the upload times vary (some locations have more bandwidth etc) the ratios remain similar.

Does all the user occurred the issue ?
If only special user, I recommend you do the following steps and test:
1.Remove and re-add the email account and check if this helps to resolve the issue.
To remove and add the email accounts:
Open Outlook > GO to Tools > Accounts > Click on "Minus" symbol to remove and "Plus" to add an Email account.

Block File Attachment Upload for Gmail & Hotmail

Hi,
I need Block File Attachment Upload in the followings applications: Gmail and Hotmail.
These appliacations use ports 80 and 443. Ironport has this option but only for "Access policies" and I need apply also in the "Decryption policies"
Access policies has Applications option.
But Decryption Policies don present this option...
who can help me with this question ?

I am not exactly clear on what you are asking - with both 'Enable Decryption for enhanced Visibilty and Control' and blocking the webmail file upload/download in Access policies, does that resolve the issue for you?
As for *how* it works, I think you are effectively talking apples and oranges, since the Access policy deals with how things are accessed/no accessed (file upload/download blocked/allowed), where the Decyption policy isn't 'access' so much as deeper traffic inspection. They are two separate things... if that makes sense.

Firefox won't load Yahoo attachment uploader in version 3.6.8

Yahoo mail has an attachment uploader that allows you to select multiple files (or pictures) for attachment. When installed, the link for attaching in a new message windos says "attach". When not installed, the link says "Attach files more easily". I have the attachment loader installed, but the link still says "Attach files more easily" in Firefox 3.6.8! I've tried re-installing the attachment uploader over and over, but when it tries to load it, it still ends up indicating that it's not installed ("Attach files more easily"). I tried it in Internet Explorer and it works, but not in Firefox 3.6.8
I went and removed Firefox 3.6.8 and installed Firefox 3.5.7 and the attachment uploader works. 3.6.8 seems to have a bug that won't let me load and use the attachment uploader!

It's the same for me. It works fine on IE and Opera though!

Problem with attaching/uploading images after editing in Aperture

After I edit images in Aperture, I frequently have trouble uploading them to Flickr or attaching them to an email message because the attachment/uploading tool cannot find the image. When I go to Aperture to view images, the edited image is there; however, it does not appear among the images in the folder where it is stored when I attempt to attach it to an email message or upload it to Flickr. I've tried searching for it by image number and that doesn't help. This never happens to unedited images, only to the ones that have been edited. The issue tends to go away after some time - for example, when I try to repeat the action the following day, the image is "back" where it should be. However, simply restarting Aperture, Flickr, or my browser doesn't help. Obviously, this is extremely frustrating, as I edit virtually all my photos before sharing them. Has anyone experienced this issue and have you been able to figure out a solution? Thank you! Oh, one last note: I've never experienced this issue when editing images with other software, such as Photoshop or Picasa - it only comes up with Aperture.

Welcome to the user-to-user forum.
Aperture creates the adjusted images as needed, on-the-fly, from the adjustment instructions saved in the Version file. Aperture also keeps Previews of these images, both for its own use, and to share with other applications when a lower-resolution JPG is sufficient. That is why you cannot find your images using Finder or other "File→Open" attempts (which is what you seem to have been trying).
(Previews are worth learning about. Consult the User Manual (a/k/a the Help file).)
In order to create a file, you must export your adjusted Version using Aperture.
Any application which has access to the OS X Media Browser (Mail does) can access these Previews.
There is a free utility which gives similar access to all applications: iMedia Browser. It looks good, but I haven't used it enough to comment.
You should also be able to access images of your adjusted Versions via the "Media" category which shows at the bottom of the sidebar of applicable OS X "File→Open" dialogs.
But the easiest way to email a image from Aperture is simply to use the toolbar icon or the keyboard shortcut "{Option}+e". Select an email program and an image exporting preset (which sets the size and other parameters) via "Aperture→Preferences→Export".
Others may have advice for Flickr. I don't use it.

To attach/upload binary data file(to vendor) from EP(sends from) to abap

I have requirement Enterprise portal(JAVA) will send the file data in binary format to abap.we have to attach the binary data(file) to content server.
that is for vendor/custmer(XK02/XD02) will have attachments in the sap screen.
similarly the above screens are provided using enterprise portal (using java) also attachment feature also needs to provide.
so whenever user imports file form EP screen, they will convert the file into binary format and sends to abap through proxy(custom proxy) abap should attach the binary file to vendor/customer.
I have checked so_object_upload,so_object_insert, binary relation create -- these FMs are helped using dialog box or providing the path of the file. but couldnt use when the file is in binary format and if it sent form proxy interface.
could anyone help me in resolving the requirement to upload binary data.

I use "call function 'ARCHIVOBJECT_CREATE_TABLE'" to process a binary table. However, in my situation, I'm storing in Documentum. Once that FM completed, I follow up with call function 'ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT' to store the reference to the document and the archived object in SAP tables. In your case, you need something that processes the binary table, or you need to utilize one of the "SCMS* " function modules to put your binary table into something that you can use with the other functions.
The upload from desktop can be done using BIN filetype for GUI_UPLOAD class or function module, or from apps server, you can read your file into an xstring with open dataset....in binary mode....read dataset into your xstring, close dataset.

Attachment Uploads in Outlook 2011 are Very Slow

I have noticed that if I attach a large file in the Outlook client, a 5-10MB file can take 10Mins. If I attach the same file using the web interface (Chrome OWA), the file uploads in seconds.
We use Exchange 2010. I'm on a MacBook Pro, current model with latest Lion installed.
Any help appreciated.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, or things don't load/run, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates again, or even do an A&I if you have enough free disk space.

If all the above do not resolve the problem, then it's time for an Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...

That way I can wait a week or so, check the forums for potential problems, and get Permissions & such in order before installing.

Problems with programming submit button and attachment upload

i have a problem programming the upload "athachments" and i
would like to know how to program the submit button to go to an
email address. once the form is filled out i want the information
to go into my email inbox. what script or coding to i need to add

File Attachment Upload - submit error in Ipad

Hi,
I created a webform for my staff to log visits to physician's offices. The form includes a file attach button which works great from a PC.
I downloaded ICab browser app for ipad, and it actually lets me choose file from ipad photo stream/camera roll. However, when I hit "SUBMIT" button on form, they get an error that reads: "An error has occurred. There was an error communicating with the server. Please try again later."
Any ideas as to why I am getting this error when submitting form with file attachment from Ipad?

Screen Customizations for Contract Upload and Attachment Upload Screens

Hello,
We currently have multiple screen customization to the Master Agreement screens using (Object Name: Master Agreement UI ID: contracts.contract.ui.buyside.default Parent Class ID:1004)
My question is about making screen customizations to (Contracts tab -> Upload Document) and Attachments screen (clicking the attachments icon). I cannot seem to make page customization on these screens. I tried (Object Name:Contract Document Transitional Bo UI ID: common.contractdocument.transitional.ui.buyside.default Parent Class ID:2002)
Any suggestions?

Could not find a way to do this

Attempt to use attachment uploader has frozen ability to create new e-mail as "TO" command respond and resetting Firefox to default does not solve the problem

Previously, selecting "attach" worked fine. How do I undo the so-called better way to make attachments??

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

1. Exactly which service need to be publisted in SICF for the link of Supplier Self Registration , which we place at home page of company and intrested Supplier come &enter important information about him and assign himself to some product Catagory ?
2. We need Vendor /subcontractor should attach his Certificate and Licence ,maintain the expiraty dates ...in ROS at initial or 1st stage of registration is in SAP standard or need some devolopment ?

Regarding to the logon, create an anonymus user id with the SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEUSER and SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEVENDOR roles. When this is done (user id exists and password is set up) go to the ROS_SELF_REG BSP (DEFAULT_HOST->SAP->BC->BSP->SAP->ROS_SELF_REG) and in the Service Data tab page, enter the user name, password, and client. After this, you will be able to logon to the registration form.
1.1), 1.3) Yes, you are right.
1.2.) I am not so experienced in ROS, so i am little bit confused. The supplier montior is the "ROS_PRESCREEN" BSP. In here you can check the registered suppliers (via ROS_SELF_REG), check its data and you can accept or reject the vendor's registration request-> we are still only in ROS. If you want to transfer any vendor master data from ROS to SRM (!ERP IS DIFFERENT! I talk about it later) you have to "start" the trasfer from the SRM system. For this, i think you have to use the "BBP_SUPP_MONI" transaction in SRM and via OPI interface, the vendor master data is transfered into SRM (vendor is created). If the vendor is in SRM, on the SRM portal you can change the vendor's attribute to "Portal Vendor" and here you can define the user id/password in order to provide the authority for vendor to logon to SUS (SRMSUS BSP)
Transfer from ROS to ERP (SAP R/3) is not possible in standard way (it is very strange, but true). I have to manage in this way the vendor master data transfer, but it can be managed only via custom interface (however, you can find some "templates" which can be reused)

Since I updated to Firefox 4.0.1, the attachment uploader isn't in Yahoo Mail. If I access Yahoo in IE 8, it is there.

I have a desktop pc using Window XP.

You can install the portable Firefox 3.6.19 version to access websites that do not work with Firefox 5+.

When trying to upload a document or attach a document in an email Firefox gives me an error "Failed to load CTDFMRES.dll" and stops responding, I have no issues in any other browsers. And I am using Firefox 4, Fixes???

You don't have to disable any addons or extentions!!!You guys are not going to believe this I figured out the problem it's really dumb...ok here goes the attachment uploader loads seperate so I got to thinking it's a popup so I went to options content and under block pop ups there is an option exceptions click on that and in the box type firefox.com and hit allow pow its fixed!!!!! :-)
