  • Convert XML payload to HTML form data in Receiver HTTP Adapter

    Hi,
    I want to make a HTTP request ( Receiver HTTP Adapter ) to a servlet where I need to send the payload in HTML form format ( name=value ). As per the help document:
    A typical HTML form comprises named fields. When transferring a completed form to the server or a CGI program, the data must be transferred in such a way that the CGI script can recognize the fields that make up the form, and which data was entered in which field.
    The plain HTTP adapter constructs this format using a prolog and an epilog
    Has anyone done this before? I looked through all help documents and forums but in vain. I can resort to Java Mapping to do this but I do not want to re-invent the wheel if I can do it easily using HTTP Adapter Configuration. Please help.

    The parameters available in HTTP adapter for message header are:

  • How to reference html form element in javascript ?

    Dear all,
    My DPK portlet is like this:
    I created a html form within it there a several textfields, a hidden field and a SUBMIT button.
    The application will call itself to insert a new record to database table on pressing the SUBMIT button.
    My problem is that since all the form textfields and the hidden field ara all the qualified names, and I want to set the hidden field to some value, say "ADD" on the onsubmit event in the form. How can I reference the hidden field in javascript ?
    Or can you suggest another strategy to do that ?
    Many thanks

  • How to search xml file data based on the given keyword from html form

    hi,
    i'm new to XML. I have this problem regarding searching within a XML file.
    the
    idea is that my search will be based on the keyword entered
    in
    by the user from a HTML form. the keyword is then used to search all
    the
    question nodes and the choice nodes within a XML file. once the match
    is
    found, i will have to display the results.
    But i don't know how to do so - especially the part of searching xml file.
    Can
    anyone help me in this? Your help is much appreciated.
    Edited by: Moti_Lal.D on Apr 4, 2008 7:28 AM

    yeah.. what i was trying to do is
    i have one xml fine. then i have to read all the tag values say
    <book>
    <title>Java</title>
    <author>agarwal</author>
    <price>200</price>
    </book>
    <book>
    <title>Xml</title>
    <author>saxmann</author>
    <price>300</price>
    </book>
    i can read the tag values like this
    File file = new File("dom.xml");
    try {
    DocumentBuilder builder = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance().newDocumentBuilder();
    Document doc = builder.parse(file);
    NodeList nodes = doc.getElementsByTagName"book");
    for (int i = 0; i < nodes.getLength(); i++) {
    Element element = (Element) nodes.item(i);
    NodeList title = element.getElementsByTagName("title");
    Element line = (Element) title.item(0);
    what i want is i may give any xml file
    like File file = new File("xxx.xml");
    (it may be one level/two level/3level tagged one)
    then the i should read all the tag values and store them in some array. Then when i enter some character from keyboard (say "a") then it has to show all the tag values starts with "a" and display them.
    i guess u understand my problem.

  • HTML form in iview not displaying correctly

    Hi
    I have made a KM document iView and in that I have called a HTML page.
    The problem is that the margins in the iView are too much and due to this the content is shrinked in between.
    When I open the page in new window then it is correctly displayed but shrinks in portal content area.
    Kindly suggest how to have the contents displayed in the same way as in the HTML file.

    Hi
    Outlook 2007 or newer use Microsoft Word for their HTML engine.
    You can refer this page http://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/ shows
    many things that do not work in different clients.I think Someone needs to re-code
    the HTML form to make it work in the current versions of Outlook. You can try formatting with text and HTML and see the results.

  • Help...  Populate pdf form fields with html form inputs.

    I have a website that allows users to choose the pdf document they want and create. After selecting which pdf they want to create they are redirected to a web page with a html form. The html form has questions that corresponds with the the form fields of the pdf document the user selected. When submitted the code (ASP, PHP whatever is the easier) runs a script that populates the pdf document form fields. The user is then prompted if they want to save or open the document. The newly created pdfs and the user inputs do not need to be saved on the server.
    I create the pdf templates using PDF 6.0 professional
    Server can be windows or linux
    I understand ASP a little but will use whatever is feasible
    Purchasing a program is okay as long as its reasonable and is changeable by me and I have full control.
    Any help would be appreciated...
    Thanks,
    John

  • JavaScript and "pdk-html:form" Variables

    I am having a problem using javaScript with my "pdk-html:form" variables.
    Here is what the .jsp looks like:
    <SCRIPT type=text/javascript>
         function test() {
              alert("act = "+window.document.facListBean.act.value);
    </SCRIPT>
    <pdk-html:form name="facListBean" .......>
         <pdk-html:text property="act" />
    </pdk-html:form>
    The problem is that when the HTML is rendered the name of the form field "act" gets translated to "_piref584_1533941_584_1533923_1533923.act"
    Is there a simple way to handle this problem? Can someone suggest a workaround?
    Thanks,

    hi Matt,
    i've faced the same problem. The only solution i've found was that:
    cicle your form and get all the elements in it.
    var field1;
    var x=document.getElementById("myForm");
    for (var i=0;i<x.length;i++) {
    if(x.elements.name.indexOf('field1')) field1 = x.elements[i];

  • Calling PLSQL Stored Procedure From HTML Form Submit Button

    Hi there,
    I am having a little difficulty with calling a stored procedure using an html form button. Here is the code I have right now...
    HTP.PRINT('<form action=ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete>');
    HTP.PRINT('<input type=''submit'' value='' Yes '' onClick=''document.getElementById("mypopup").style.display="none"''>');
    HTP.PRINT('</form></div>');Here is the issue - I need to find a way to pass variables to this stored procedure so it know what data to operate on. This stored procedure will delete data for a specific database record and I must pass three variables to this procedure to make it work.
    Lets call them class_number, term, conf These three variables will be passed and the data will be deleted and the person will see a confirmation screen once the delete query has been executed.
    So ideally I would want: ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete(class_number, term, conf) and then the stored procedure would handle the rest!
    Seems pretty simple but I am not sure how to make this happen... My thoughts were:
    Pass the data to this html form (the three fields I need) in hidden variables. Then somehow pass these using POST method to the procedure and read using GET?
    Can someone clarify what the best way to do this is? I have a feeling its something small I am missing - but I would really like some expert insight :-)
    Thanks so much in advance!

This stored procedure will delete data for a specific database record and I must pass three variables to this procedure to make it work. The browser generates a POST or a GET for that form action, that includes all the fields defined in that form. Let's say you define HTML text input fields name and surname for the form. The URL generated for that form's submission will be:
    http://../ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete?name=value1&surname=value2The browser therefore submits the values of the form as part of the URL.
    The web server receives this. It sees that the base URL (aka location) is serviced by Oracle's mod_plsql. It passes the URL to this module. This module builds a PL/SQL block and makes the call to Oracle. If we ignore the additional calls it makes (setting up an OWA environment for that Oracle session), this is how the call to Oracle basically looks like:
    begin
      ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete( name=> :value1, surname =>  :value2 );
    end;Thus the PL/SQL web enabled procedure gets all the input fields from the HTML form, via its parameter signature. As you can define parameter values with defaults, you can support variable parameter calls. For example, let's say our procedure also have a birthDate parameter that is default null. The above call will still work (from a HTML form that does not have a date field). And so will the following URL and call that includes a birth date:
    URL:
    http://../ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete?name=value1&surname=value2&birthdate=2000/01/01
    PL/SQL call:
    begin
      ZWGKERCF.P_confdelete( name=> :value1, surname =>  :value2, birthdate => :value3 );
    end;There is also another call method you can use - the flexible 2 parameter interface. In this case the PL/SQL procedure name in the URL is suffixed with an exclamation mark. This instructs the mod_plsql module to put all input field names it received from the web browser into a string array. And put all the values for those fields in another string array. Then it calls your procedure with these arrays as input.
    Your procedure therefore has a fixed parameter signature. Two parameters only. Both are string arrays.
    The advantage of this method is that your procedure can dynamically deal with the web browser's input - any number of fields. The procedure's signature no longer needs to match the HTML form's signature.
    You can also defined RESTful mod_plsql calls to PL/SQL. In which case the call format from the web browser looks different and is handled differently by mod_plsql.
    All this (and more) is detailed in the Oracle manuals dealing with mod_plsql - have a search via http://tahiti.oracle.com (Oracle Documentation Portal) for the relevant manuals for the Oracle version you are using.
    Alternatively, simply download and install Oracle Apex (Application Express). This is a web development and run-time framework and do all the complexities for you - including web state management, optimistic locking, security and so on.

  • Submiting HTML Forms with JavaFX Webview

    I've long been searching for a good web robot framework. And I also need a gui for my robot.
    So w/ the advent of JAVAFX Webengine it seemed my needs have been met finally. Specially because on the webview tutorial here , Alla Redko says: "+It supports user interaction such as navigating links *and submitting HTML forms*+".
    But after looking at the api it doesn't seem that webengine supports submiting forms, only loading pages w/ the load() method. I guess I could populate the form fields and submit them w/ executeScript() but that's just sloppy.
    Is there a way to actually submit forms w/ webengine? Are there plans to implement this feature, analogous to the load() method?
    Thanks,

    Yea, as I mentioned in the first post, I could do all that w/ JS but it's just sloppy, since I'm using Java language, not JS.
    The finding certain fields part is easy w/ the Document model and xpath, it's the populating the fields and submiting the form along w/ its hidden input fields that is the missing part.
    Does anyone know if these things are planned for the future of Webview/Webengine?You can already do this in Java today using the existing APIs if you so wished.

        stage.show();
      private boolean notEmpty(String s) {
        return s != null && !"".equals(s);
    }Personally, I think using JavaScript via engine.executeScript calls in combination with jquery might be a less messy solution (as I don't like writing against the raw dom apis), but I understand that there are valid reasons why you might prefer to use a Java only solution.

  • Again : HTML-form in report body- error

    I want to display a report based on a complex view, but I want to make each record updateable via an HTML-form. I added to the view a column which generates HTML, but when I change the combobox, I get an error in the status-bar of the browser "Object doesn't support this property or method."
    The submit-action (do_update) is a PL/SQL procedure.
    example-record :
    Customer oriented <form name="theForm" action="do_update"><input type=hidden value="393" name="p_pmei_id"><select NAME="p_pmei_score" size="1" ONCHANGE="javascript:document.theForm.submit()"><option value="A">A</option><option value="B">B</option><option value="C">C</option><option value="D">D</option><option value="">--</option></select></form>
    Quality-minded <form name="theForm" action="do_update"><input type=hidden value="394" name="p_pmei_id"><select NAME="p_pmei_score" size="1" ONCHANGE="javascript:document.theForm.submit()"><option value="A">A</option><option value="B">B</option><option value="C">C</option><option value="D">D</option><option value="">--</option></select></form>
    null

    The problem is solved ! I used the same form_name for each record, wich caused the error.

  • How to simply add custom property to a HTML Form Web Part?

    Hello.
    Is it possible to add a custom property (like a date-field) to a HTML Form Web Part with help of JavaScript? I do not want to use Visual Studio / Nappa etc. Is this possible in an easy way?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
    Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to count the date between today and the latest event date.
    You can create a calendar in a page firstly, then add a content editor web part rather than the html form web part, as html form web part can't place the Jquery element.
    Then you can firstly read the date field value of the calendar list using JavaScript Client Object Model and then calculate the difference between two date values using Jquery. You can add the code directly in the content editor web part.
    Here are some detailed code demos for your reference:
    Get SharePoint calendar list field value using JavaScript Client Object Model:
    <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.9.1.js"></script>
    <script>
    $(document).ready(function(){
    SP.SOD.executeFunc("sp.js", "SP.ClientContext", retrieveListItemsCal);
    function retrieveListItemsCal() {
    var clientContextCal = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    var oListCal = clientContextCal.get_web().get_lists().getByTitle('Calendar');
    var camlQueryCal = new SP.CamlQuery.createAllItemsQuery();
    AllItemsCal = oListCal.getItems(camlQueryCal);
    clientContextCal.load(AllItemsCal);
    clientContextCal.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQuerySucceededCal), Function.createDelegate(this, this.onQueryFailedCal));
    function onQuerySucceededCal(sender, args) {
    var listItemInfo = '';
    var listItemEnumeratorCal = AllItemsCal.getEnumerator();
    var htmlCal = '';
    while(listItemEnumeratorCal.moveNext()) {
    var oListItemCal = listItemEnumeratorCal.get_current();
    htmlcal= oListItemCal.get_item("Start Time").format("MMMM d, yyyy"));
    break;
    function onQueryFailedCal(sender, args) {
    alert('Request failed. ' + args.get_message() + '\n' + args.get_stackTrace());
    </script>
    Calculate the difference between two dates:

    Thanks

  • Html form - java applet

    Hi friends
    I have an html form with an editable textfield on it. Next to it is an Java Applet with an Button on it. If you klick the button, a Popup aperars where the textfield can be modified. There is also an OK Button on this Popup. If you klick the Button, I want that the value of my string will be plased into the html form.
    If anyone knows how that works. Please help me.
    thanks kendiman

    Sweet, I was wondering how to do that.
    So if one was to design a menu using java, the external Java Script can access the public variables within the applets?
    So if we had
    public class applet extends Applet {
       public int test;
       public applet() {
          test = 6;
    }then the javascript command
    document.applet.test
    would return a 6?
    Do I have this correctly?

  • Is it possible to mimic a submission of html form in Java Swing

    Helppp!!!!
    I want to create a swing applet (The plugins are installed) that would submit to a servlet. The servlet is having a doPost method. Now How do I form fields (that is textfield, hidden field) in a swing environment.
    The same attempt if made in a normal HTML document, I get the results.
    But how to do it swing environment.
    I have seen classes called FormView, HTMLDocument etc in javax.swing.text.html package. The documentation also says that a input type=button will be intrepreted as JButton. There is also a method called as "submitData()" in the FormView class.
    But how actually do you use it.
    Or is there any other way.
    Can anyone help me out please?
    Thank you
    MrWrongBoy

    You could simply let the JTextPane load up an HTML page with a form for you which in turn you can fill out and submit to your servlet. And here is my working sample:
    public class HTMLFormJApplet extends javax.swing.JApplet {
        public void init() {
            initComponents();
            htmlPane.setEditable(false);
            String page_name = getParameter("page_name");
            try
                htmlPane.setPage(new java.net.URL(getDocumentBase(),page_name).toExternalForm());
            catch(Exception e)
                e.printStackTrace();
        private void initComponents() {
            jScrollPane1 = new javax.swing.JScrollPane();
            htmlPane = new javax.swing.JTextPane();
            jScrollPane1.setViewportView(htmlPane);
            getContentPane().add(jScrollPane1, java.awt.BorderLayout.CENTER);
        private javax.swing.JScrollPane jScrollPane1;
        private javax.swing.JTextPane htmlPane;
    --------------- HTMLFormJApplet.html -------------------
    <applet codebase="." code="HTMLFormJApplet.class" width="350" height="350">
    <param name="page_name" value="testform.html">
    </applet>
    --------------- testform.html --------------------------
    <form method="POST" action="myservlet">
    <font color="green">First Name:</font><input type="TEXT" value="firstname" value="wally"><br>
    <input type="SUBMIT" value="Submit">
    </form>

  • Help with HTML form,please!

    Hi everybody,
    I'm trying to write an HTML form that would allow user to login if he/she has already created username and password AND that would let him/her create an account in case the user is not registered yet. The code below creates a form that allows the user login after what this provided data would be sent to some servlet:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Meeting-scheduling</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <H2>Login To Meeting-Scheduling Program</H2>
    <FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="someServlet">
    Username: <INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="username" SIZE="25"><BR>
    Password: <INPUT TYPE="PASSWORD" NAME="password" SIZE="25"><P>
    <INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" VALUE="Submit">
    <INPUT TYPE="RESET" VALUE="Clear">
    </FORM>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    Now,I can't figure out how to add another button, for example, that would trigger another servlet and/or open another form and that would allow user to create an acount. Is this feasible at all? What I basically need is two forms on a single page triggering two different servlets. Thanks a lot,Jimmy.

    Yes u can trigger as many as servlets u want ,by using Javascript.make a normal button to act as submit button
    for e.g
    document.frm.action="/servlet/servletname"
    dovument.frm.method=post
    document.frm.submit()
    I hope this helps u :),if u still have problem mail me at
