Audio recording using KinectStudio API

Hi, I'm using KStudio APIs to record raw data from the kinect v2.
I found some documents and I can now record the raw color and IR data. However, I cannot find a way to include the audio beam using EventStreamDataTypeIDs class. Would you let me know how to add audio in the recorded xef file?

Well, I've been trying this for a while. By my calculations, at this rate, installing all the applications one by one and trying to restore all the data manually will take me about six years. I would finished just in time for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The main problem is, I don't know where all the bodies are buried. Just one example, I'm using Cornerstone for an svn client. I have working copies of multiple repositories on my computer. I really don't want to set them all up again, and I can't figure out where the Cornerstone preferences and all settings are stored. I couldn't find them in the Library anywhere.
And that's just one case.
I haven't done much with my MacBook Pro yet, I think in retrospect the easiest course of action is to reinstall OS X as though it were new MacBook Pro, start from scratch, and use my Time Machine backup with the migration assistant and go from there.
And that's what I'm doing right now. I'm in the middle of reinstalling OS X.
Afterwords I'll use a clean app uninstaller application to get rid of all the applications that I'm not using. And I'll just hack away at directories that I know I haven't looked at for years, with the confidence that I have a backup both in Time Machine and in CCC and also on my iMac. That's three backups.
I would rather start out "light", but I can see it's just going to take forever and a day to get it done. Anyway, fortunately nothing is carved in stone, and I can always try again if I want to. But dealing with all the documents and all the applications one by one separately was just obviously going to take too much time.
I'll report back on my results. And I appreciate your suggestion.

Mac Mini for audio recording using LOGIC X

Has anyone had experience using the latest Mac mini for audio recording? I'm thinking of purchasing the 2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x8GB 1TB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm model. I'll be using Logic X along with Reasons, Wave, UA plugins with a Apollo I/O I'd appreciate any feedback and or suggestions.

I'd work off of another hard drive as much as possible. Install the applications to your boot drive, but keep your data on a separate external hard drive. If you try to run OS, apps and big audio data off of that 5400, I foresee performance issues even with 16GB of RAM. Also, don't forget a second external hard drive for your backups.

Adding batch records using DI API 6.7

I am trying to add multiple records to a UDT using the DI API. When I add the second and subsequent records and do not specify the values for certain of the fields, they contain the old values when I add the record to the table. I tried using "" as the value but this sets the char fields to empty strings and the numeric fields to 0's. I would like to have these values be null in the DB but the statement:
tbl.UserFields.Fields.Item(k).Value = System.DBNull.Value;
Does not work. Only the following seems to work but is not what I want.
tbl.UserFields.Fields.Item(k).Value = "";
Do I have to delete and recreate the tbl object for each record?

Unfortunately you are right and found a gap:
DI API does not support setting Value back to "empty"/"null"... - except for memo fields.
I.e. the only way to get this is currently to delete / recreate the tbl object for each record - or use a SQL statement in case this is not tolerable in terms of performance.

No MBox, but I just patch my turntable into a phono preamp I bought at Radio Shack about 25 years ago (in order to have RIAA equalization) and the preamp outs into your interface and you can record like normal.

Ipad2 : Skype and Audio Recording using Audiomemo

I use the iPad version of Skype and record on-line university tutorials with the "audiomemo" app. Until recent upgrades I was able to do this. I now can't. Has Apple recently placed an "inhibitor" that causes Skype 'phone calls to close down when another audio application is being used? Audiomemo tell me that they have not. Skype, tell me too that they haven't (albeit on the iPad it works using their iPhone version!). Hmmm.

Issue Audio Recording using inbuilt Microphones

Hi There,
As we know that there are 2 microphones in Sony Xperis Z1. When we record audio in some applications like whatsapp, I am not sure which mic to use, because both the mics work, but the issue is either Right or Left audio is dominating if we use any one mic, If we record from middle, audio volume is not great. Is there any work around for this. Its annoying, after spending huge amount of money. It would be better if we have a single mic active for apps like whatsapp, wechat etc.

Null Pointer Exception while Retrieving Records using Java API

Hi,
I am using the Class RetrieveLimitedRecords, to retrieve he records from the main table.
While using this class I am getting an error Null Pointer Exception, when there are no records matching the search criteriea.
Could anybody tell me how to ignore this error.

Audio recording using realtime effects

What I would like to be able to do is record a "dry" track, say a guitar track, but during the recording actually hear it with one of the Soundtrack effects such as echo or reverb. Is this possible? I know I can "add" the effect after the recording, but I would like to hear how it will sound as I'm playing. When improvising a lot can depend how the "effect" influences the rhythm. Any tips or answers? Thanks in advance! David
PS: Using GarageBand there are those "guitar sounds" that you can use, but the track is then recorded hot with them and nothing can be changed afterward, at least as far as I have seen.

So... if i understand what you are trying to achieve...
When recording sing a single short note (To actually start the recording and then wait a bar before you start actually singing your music.. You can then go back and edit out the single note leaving the ambience... and your breathing intact and recorded.

Audio Recording on a 4G iPod

Hi,
Is there a way to improve the quality of the audio recording using iTalk?
I know that istalling Linux on the iPod allows to bring the sample rate to 96kHz instead of the mono 8kHz with ther regular iPod OS.
But Linux seems not to be working with iTalk..
Any ideas, advises?

You could add Perian. It may help (...or not).
Wait, you received and audio recording and you are trying to use a video player (vlc) to play it? What kind of file is it? Does it have a filename extension? If it is .wmv then you might want to install Flip4Mac. Then you could play it with QuickTime.

Quicktime "New Audio Recording" - Sound Input

My question is related to a "New Audio Recording" using Quicktime Pro.
Everything is fine with the recording, however, I can't hear sound that is inputed into my Mac untill the recording is done!
I would like to hear the sound that is being inputed into the Mac at all times. How can I turn the sound on so I can hear the input port?
