Auditing custom attributes in reports

I have a custom attribute which resides in LDAP and when the user changes this attribute, I need to log both the old value and the new value. But auditlog report page I am seeing just the new value, how do I display old value in the changed attribute table in auditlog page.
Thanks

  • How to get the latest credit limit values per each customer in the report.

    Hi All,
Can anybody give me an idea on how to get the latest credit limit values per each customer in the report.
    I have below requiremnt.
I have cube which is having transactional data on document and customer level .and it also having master data info object in the cube which is credit management view having all the customer numbers .
This credit management view is master data info object having credit limit key figure as attribute. These credit limit are per each customer.
So we need these credit limits in the report as dynamic values .(I mean whatever be the current credit limit in the master data table for that paricular customer that should show up in the reporting).
one more thing these credit limits should roll up correctly at the HTR level.
One HTR having number of customers .
for example HTR 100 can have customer number 200,300,400.
Those 200,300,400 customer credit limits should roolup correctly at the HTR 100 level.
    Example below :
    Cube DATA :
HTR Customer Doct number Credit managment view
    100 200 10001 200
    100 200 10002 200
    100 300 10004 300
    100 300 10005 300
    100 400 10006 400
    100 400 10007 400
    100 400 10008 400
Master data tabel (P Table)(Credit managment view)
    Credit managment view Credit limits
    200 1000.00
    300 50000.00
    400 90000.00
    Please remeber :
We can not make these credit limits as navigational becasue these are keyfigure attributes not characteristics.
one more thing we can not make them as charatistics because we need use these credit limits to derive other calkculation. so it is not possibel to derive calculations on charactristics .

Create a formula variable of type replacement path with reference as attibutes of Credit management view and choose your key figure credit limit, say zcredit.
Now create a formula or CKF and use zcredit.
This should display the credit limit in your report as normal key figure.
I didnot get this part "one more thing these credit limits should roll up correctly at the HTR level.", may be the above will solve this too.Try it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Using LOV with bind var as custom attribute?

I have an Portal LOV which uses a bind variable.
Can I use this LOV as a custom attribute? If so, how do I specific the bind variable value?
In the display option of the attribute I tried LOV_NAME(LOV_Bind => 'value'), but the LOV is not applied.

It's been quite a while, but I think I remember trying this and not being able to achieve it. You can use a LOV with a bind variable in a report or in a form, or similar, but there is no way in an item to from specify where to get the bind variable. My suggestion if this is a requirement would be to use a portal form which submits to a stored procedure or pl/sql generated form to gather the attributes and then programmatically create the item using the APIs. Takes a bit of work, but gets you exactly what you described above.

  • Help with custom attributes in PPOMA_BBP

    Hello,
I have added a custom cost center attribute in PPOMA_BBP. I basically a copied existing attribute CNT (cost center).  I created a data element and added it to BBP_ATTR_F1. I used OOATTRCUST to add the attribute and made an entry in BBP_ATTR_PROP using SE16. Also, I copied function module BBP_ATTR_F4_ACC and revised for created a custom help module.
The search help works fine in PPOMA_BBP but the selected value is brought back, the value is initally placed the field next to the source system field. However, after a second or two the source system is placed in the custom attribute field and the source system field is blanked out.  The same thing happens when maintaining the value manually without using search help.
    Is there something I missed?

  • Custom Attributes in Target Group

    Hi,
we are experiencing an issue during Target group creation: we are unable to see our custom attributes in the Target Group.
We have an Attribute List created by a Custom infoset; the Infoset is based on a custom Table.
When we create a profile Set from this Attribute list, the Target Group is created with the correct records number, but when we look at the Target Group we find there only standard attributes, that are not defined in our Attribute List (they seems all BUT000 fields).
How can we add our custom Field to Target Group Structure?
I've read someone suggests to enahnce CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI BADI: this is the only possible option? there is a way to do it using SPRO transaction?
    Thanks and regards,
    Francesca

    Hi Francesca ,
    Thanks for reporting your concern.
When the target group is displayed on the WebUI, the system uses a standard structure crmt_mkttg_genil_tg_i_enhance. The fields available for selection comes from this structure. In this structure there are some 30 user fields provided which can be filled through the badi 'CRM_MKTTG_SEG_MEM_EX'. Using this badi you can display the required Custom details.
    Hope this helps.

  • Splitting Dimensions on Attributes for reporting

Does anyone have experience or a good idea on how to most efficiently allow splitting a dimension on attributes for reporting custom cells. We are working in 11G. First let me explain
We have a dimension Brand that has a level based hierarchy.
    Total
    Category
    Brand
    Item
The Item level has many attributes, of course it has Category and Brand but it also has other Attributes that apply only to the Item level, we will say Flavor and Size for example. The user might want to see a report with Flavors on Columns and Size on rows, or Flavor on columns and Categories on rows.
We have come up with 4 ways to do this, 3 on the fly and 1 predefined.
    1. We use the BRAND_VIEW view to limit to the chosen attributes and the Item level then join to the CUBE_VIEW and sum BRAND. This only works for measures with all SUM additively
    2. Use the Java API and Source objects to limit BRAND to the ITEMS that meet our criteria, create a custom member in brand and report on it. This gets around the additively problem but is currently not an option til Oracle patches the 11G API to allow session only member creation.
    3. Write a DML program to limit the BRANDS and then report on the TOTAL. Again this only works for SUM.
    4. For the above example we would build 3 dimensions for BRAND instead of 1. We would build the BRAND dimension as defined and a FLAVOR and SIZE dimension. This increased the size of the build and fact data, also greatly increases the build time. Also this forces the User to see many more dimensions then they are use to seeing.
If anyone has dealt with an issue like this I would greatly appreciate hearing how you handled it.

Clyde, how are you sir? I was curious on this too - so I took a look into it. Seems that the as long as the attributes are marked navigational they come along into the BIA indexes. See excerpt and link below.
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/43/bcf9bfdd052ec5e10000000a11466f/content.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/43/bcf9bfdd052ec5e10000000a11466f/content.htm]
Step 1: Creating a BI accelerator index
When you execute this step, the system creates the indexes for the tables of the InfoCube star schema on the BI accelerator server, as long as they have not already been created by other BI accelerator indexes. These tables consist of the fact and dimension tables of the InfoCube as well as the master data tables that contain the required SIDs, the S, X, and Y tables of the InfoObjects
X = time independent navigational attributes and Y = time dependent navigational attributes, so it looks like these are stored too.
    Hope this helps!

  • Dynamic select list as APEX plug-in custom attribute?

I'm developing a region plug-in in APEX 4.0.1. I wanted to make one of the custom attributes a select list where the options offered were the current application list templates (queried from the <tt>apex_application_temp_list</tt> view: the rendered plug-in region should be styled using a standard list template from the current theme). However, the Select List plug-in custom attribute type only appears to support static lists. Can anyone confirm that I've not missed anything and that this is indeed the case?
If so, it seems that the plug-in will have to rely on developers typing a list template name into a text box, which is far from ideal. (Unless anyone can suggest a workaround?)
Component specific templates can be applied to several built-in component types&mdash;lists, calendars, reports&mdash;so it would make sense for there to be a similar capability for plug-ins where these are congruent with an existing template type, e.g. by providing a Template Picker plug-in custom attribute type.

    Hi,
you have not missed anything. Plug-in attributes of type "Select List" just support static values. And I'm not sure if a query based Select List would really help, because what happens if the template is deleted. Or in the reports where it shows if the template is in use.
So I think your second approach to extend plug-in attributes to link to certain shared components (Lists, Templates) is the better way forward, because that will also allow us to know what you are actually referencing and we can use that information in reports, delete operations, ...
Will add it to possible enhancements for 4.1

  • Modify Style on Custom Attributes

I have several custom attributes defined in a page group. I would like to be able to specify the font, color, etc for these custom attributes.
Therefore, I created a new style in the same page group and did the following:
    1) Go into Navigator and select edit next to the new style
    2) Go to the 'Properties' tab
    3) Select 'Items' under Style Element Type
    4) Select any of the custom attributes in the Style Elements Properties box.
Unfortunately, at this point I get no options such as font, color, etc. There is only the color selector grid and an 'Apply' button.
I believe I should be able to edit the style for a custom attribute. Is this a bug, "feature", or operator error?

I haven't seen this problem before. You should get fields for Color, Font Decoration, Font Face, Font Size, and Font Style. (I'm assuming you're using Portal Release 2).

  • Help Pls: Create New User Form and display custom attributes +++

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a user screen where a user would see all the organizations he is responsible for and clicking on the organization he would see the certain attribute of all the users that belong to the organization. (Kind of report)
Account attribute need to be defined with 2 custom attributes:
    1. Organizations Responsible for
    2. Belongs to which organization.
    3. Status
The first 2 attributes are used to define the organization heirarchy (we can't use the org heirarchy as is in IDM).
I am just starting on the Sun IDM (very new to the product). Could you please let me know how this could be done? Which form I need to modify and any other changes I need to make.
Thanks a lot and have a pleasant day,
    Ritesh
PS: I know this is a long question but i really don't know how to better explain the problem.

A workaround is to write a PL/SQL procedure to render the custom item (pass in each attribute as a paramter and then use htp.p to print it whatever format you want). You can then disable the default display of attributes (i.e. edit the style so none of the attributes are rendered).
    Hope that helps,
    Mark

  • Modify a Pages Custom Attributes through API

I have looked at the wwsbr_api.set_attribute api but this is soley for items and not pages. Need this as we are doing a bulk upload of pages and content and as i create each new page i need to set some of the page custom attributes.

  • Issue with Sorting by Custom Attributes

In our custom SES query application, I am trying to implement sorting at the custom attribute level. I am having difficulty in understanding exactly how to set the options on doOracleOrganizedSearch() to achieve the desired result.
We have a table based content source and allow a user to search via custom search attribute. We are also going to allow them to sort by custom attribute.
For example, say we have a Project content source and one of the attributes is "Client Name". Users are going to be able to sort by client name (A-Z and Z-A). I have a prototype working but it only seems to work if I set topN to a very high number.
I want to bring back the first 10 documents sorted by Client Name A - Z and allowing paging to the next set of sorted results. My prototype works if I set topN to 1000 (more than the # of results) but does not work if I set it to 10 (# of results I want to display per page).
Below if my code. Note I am not setting the group attribute or the cluster list. Perhaps this is the issue?
    Many thanks in advance!
    OracleResultContainer results = service.doOracleOrganizedSearch
    (this.m_query, // query
    this.m_docsRequested, // topN
    this.m_startIndex, // startIndex
    new Integer(10), // docsRequested
    this.m_dupRemoved, // dupRemoved
    this.m_dupMarked, // dupMarked
    this.m_searchDataGroup, // groups
    this.m_queryLang, // queryLang
    this.m_docLang, // docLang
    this.m_returnCount, // returnCount
    this.m_filterConnector, // filterConnector

    this.m_fetchAttributeNames, // fetchAttributeNames
    null, // searchControls
    null, // groupAttr
    this.m_sortAttributes, // sortAttrList
    null); // clusterList

    Hi Nikola,
in 9.0.1 even if you rewrite the web interface you can't sort files by custom attributes setting a SortSpecification to a Folder. You can only sort by base attributes with getItems(). To get item sorted on custom attributes you must perform a search (a lot more codelines).

  • Limitation on number of custom attributes visible

    Hi,
    I am using OIM 11g.
All the custom attributes are visible on the create user form. I am able to see only 8 custom attributes on the modify user form.
The visible property of all the attributes is set to true. I cannot modify the attribute once its created at the user creation.
Can someone please help me out?
    Thanks...

    I got it resolved.
Permissions in the access policies were not enabled for the remaining attributes.

  • Encrypt custom attribute

    Tar: 7340338.994
    OID Version: 10.1.2.0.2
We are trying to encrypt the custom attribute ( ssn, answer ). How do we encrypt the custom attribute ? This is security requirement.
I find nothing in the admin guide and I am not even sure we can do this. Does anyone know how to encrypt a custom attribute?
I am thinking at best this is an Enhancement Request.

    Several ways:
    1. Write a plugin: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/idmanage.1012/b14082/plugin_intr.htm#i120282
    2. Put OVD in front of OID, point the application to OVD and write a plugin for OVD: http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/E12283_01/java_plug_ins.htm#CIHBDHHE
    3. If you can find the attribute in ODS schema, try encryption at the database level with TDE or VPD. Actually I am not sure it will carry over to LDAP interface..probably not but it's worth a try
    4. Have the application do it?

  • Problem with setting custom attribute and it being searchable

I'm having an issue with setting a custom attribute and having it be searchable using Portal 10.1.4. The situation that we have is that we initially added a bunch of files to Oracle Portal using webdrive. Later on, we decided that we needed another custom attribute called "Pinned Item" that will be used for searching (boolean value) and gave it a default value of false. The attribute was then added to the "File" item type in the "Shared Objects" group.
It appears that since this attribute wasn't initially available on the file object, we couldn't search on it so we decided to set it programatically. First, I tried using wwsbr.set_attribute but it errored out seemingly because the value wasn't set in the first place. If I set a value first by using the web front end, I could then use the set_attribute procedure.
So, I moved on to using wwsbr_api.modify_item and it appears to set it (although everything is being set to false until I changed it to "text" instead of "boolean" which is OK because that's what I wanted anyway... see metalink bug 390618.1). I'm using the method outlined in metalink doc 413079.1. When I do set it to a "1", and edit the item the check box is checked indicating that it is set correctly. And if I just click "OK" to save the attributes after I open it everything works like it should.
However, the advanced search (and custom search portlet) and the search APIs are not picking it up. I'm not sure if I'm hitting Metalink bug ID 5592472 or not as that's using the "set_attribute" procedure instead of the modify_item procedure. And their "workaround" of setting the attribute in the UI isn't really feasible for a couple thousand files.
So far I've tried the following things to get it working:
    1. I am calling wwpro_api_invalidation.execute_cache_invalidation
    2. I have executed wwv_context.sync
    3. I cleared the page group cache
    4. I invalidated all of the web cache
Does anyone else have any other suggestions?
