Limitation on number of custom attributes visible

Hi,
I am using OIM 11g.
All the custom attributes are visible on the create user form. I am able to see only 8 custom attributes on the modify user form.
The visible property of all the attributes is set to true. I cannot modify the attribute once its created at the user creation.
Can someone please help me out?

I got it resolved.
Permissions in the access policies were not enabled for the remaining attributes.

I think I have managed to paint myself into a corner!
In OIM 11gR2 I have added a number of custom attributes to the "User Form" - some Text-, some Lookup-type attributes.
While customizing the "Create User" page within a sandbox and adding a SelectOneChoice item and fiddling around with its binding, I was distracted by a phone call and the browser timed out.
The binding property on the new item is now not correct and the sandbox has unfortunately been published, and I am now unable to enter the "Create User" page - when I try, I get the following:

In our CUP System we have autoprovision.
For Request panel we are trying to add the password and room number as custom attributes.
During autoprovision will it save the password and room number in SAP ?

Hi Hari,
you will not be able to set the password manually.
Room n umber will not be a problem: create a custom field, the go to Field Mapping - Provisioning and a a mapping of that field to "Room or appartment number".
Be careful when experimenting with custom fields - once you have created a custom field and used it in a request, there is NO way to get rid of it again, and it might also appear on your request screen forever! Best option is to do a backaup of your DEV system (GRC Java only) just in case...

Number of custom documents

Hi,
I have some custom documents (xls, doc, ...) in my application.
Now i would add a new document, but the following error message appears:
"Load of document failed. Unable to add custom document. Your system administrator has limited the number of custom documents to %0. You currently have %1 documents saved for this application."
Whats wrong or where can I modify this setting??

Custom attributes added to user objects not visible in OWA address book

Hi,
I am using Exchange 2013 and recently added a new custom attribute in the user object properties using the details template editor to be visible in the GAL The new attribute is correctly getting displayed in the GAL from outlook clients but not visible
in OWA address book. Is there a way to update the display of user objects in OWA address book to include the new custom attribute?

It says, Use the Details Templates Editor to customize the client-side graphical user interface (GUI) presentation of object properties that are accessed by using address lists in Microsoft Outlook.
My understanding is this setting only visible in Outlook.
Please correct me if there is any misunderstanding.

The answers would be the following:
1200 cells per custom section (NEW COUNT), and up to 30 custom sections per spec.
Assuming all will be populated, and this would apply to all final material specs in the system which could be ~25% of all material specs.
The cells will be numeric, free text, drop downs, and some calculated numeric.
Are we reaching the limits for UI performance?

Issue with Sorting by Custom Attributes

In our custom SES query application, I am trying to implement sorting at the custom attribute level. I am having difficulty in understanding exactly how to set the options on doOracleOrganizedSearch() to achieve the desired result.
We have a table based content source and allow a user to search via custom search attribute. We are also going to allow them to sort by custom attribute.
For example, say we have a Project content source and one of the attributes is "Client Name". Users are going to be able to sort by client name (A-Z and Z-A). I have a prototype working but it only seems to work if I set topN to a very high number.
I want to bring back the first 10 documents sorted by Client Name A - Z and allowing paging to the next set of sorted results. My prototype works if I set topN to 1000 (more than the # of results) but does not work if I set it to 10 (# of results I want to display per page).
Below if my code. Note I am not setting the group attribute or the cluster list. Perhaps this is the issue?

in 9.0.1 even if you rewrite the web interface you can't sort files by custom attributes setting a SortSpecification to a Folder. You can only sort by base attributes with getItems(). To get item sorted on custom attributes you must perform a search (a lot more codelines).

Limitation on number of partner profiles

Hi,
I am working on SAP Retail implementation. As you know, in SAP Retail, we consider each store as customer and there will be seperate partner profile of type customer for each store.This is for integrating SAP with point of sale (store).
Since number of stores are more, around 1000, i feel it's not good solution to create 1000 partner profiles. Please let me know whether there is any alternative for this and also whether there is any limitation on number of partner profiles that we can create.

Help needed in Inbox search for Custom attribute

Hi,
We have a requirement where in we are having a custom attribute on Service request to store the ECC Order number.
We have enhanced the Inbox search to retreive all the service requests havig the ECC order number.
Here we are encountering a problem. i just created a new crm service request and entered order number 1234. and now when i search for the same in Inbox search giving the criteria order number as 1234. I get no results found. But when i extend the max list to 2000, then i see the service request appearing in the result list. not sure about the algorithm that is designed for inbox search.
Any pointers on how to resolve this issue would be of great help.

I do not have the time to research this completely, but I had a short look into the class you posted.
In the GET_DYNAMIC_QUERY_RESULT there is a call to CL_CRM_QCOD_HELPER->PREPROCESS( )
A little bit lower there are blocks marked by comments for the single searches that are handled by this class. I had a look into the campaign_serach() method. There if you scroll a little bit down (around line 123) they set all search parameters to SIGN = 'I' OPTION = 'EQ'. This is done several times below as well.
Set a breakpoint in the proprocess() method and check which of the blocks is called and how they handle your search criteria.

How do I access the name of the file stored in a custom attribute?

I have created a custom attribute based on a file type and am using it in a custom page type. However, the value stored in wwsbr_folder_attributes is a sequential number rather than the name of the jpg file entered into the attribute. How do I access the true filename, as this seems to be what I need in order to reference it in an <IMG SRC=> tag?

You should be able to use this relatively use this sequential number in an image tag in the following way:

I need to store a person's social security number in the directory.
I haven't found any appropriate standard attribute for such purpose (is there any?), so I decided to create a new one.
I've written a method:

Hi,
You need to check for a few things in your OID :
1. Your custom attribute should be present in the Schema.
2. The attribute should be grouped in an ObjectClass.
3. The ObjectClass should be put in the Entry you wish to modify.
4. You can then store a value ( or values ) against the attribute.
You can do steps 1, 2 & 3 either programatically or manually.

Count the number of customer in query designer

Dear Friends,
I am trying to create a query where we have two key figures.
( Division )      (Total Customer)        (Total Customer who purchase)
10                      10                                 5
20                       20                              15
This means i need two figures one is total number of customer against
each division irrespect of sales either they purchase somthing or not means read from
master data.
and second figure i need total number of customer who purchase
from us by eash division.
second KF is achived by creating a New Formula and put 1 in detail view and
in aggregation tab i select total option and in ref. char. i choose division.
now i am getting right number of customer who purchased from us.
for KF one i dont know how can we read from master data for customer count.
i know there is a option for characterstics in advance properties choose from
transaction data or from master data but i am unable to build logic for counting using
these advance features.
any help higly appricated.

Maintain the Total Customer as an attribute..
Then this characteristic has the values from master data..
THen Convert this characteristic into key figure using Formula Variable with Replacement path.
Using Formula varaible with replacemant path, we can convert a characteristic into key fure..
