Audition 3.01 stopped working and reinstall does no good

As the title says - the error message says "an error has been detected with a required application library and the product can not continue". This is with win7 64bit and it used to work fine. I have not been able to find a way to contact customer support via the web site - just takes me to a search finction and no way to get in contact with an actual person - maybe that is no longer possible. Also my account does not say I have Audition 3 even though I have. And I can't access the 3.01 patch to see if that is the issue - although hard to see how it could be. I've done reinstalls from v2 to no avail.
Any ideas?
ps v2 still works fine, so this is just a v3 issue

If you have not tried to delete the ap data then I would start there.
Uninstall Audition.
Delete the ap data.
Reinstall Audition.
To find the app data then first go to the control panel and folder options. Check the tab that says view and then select the radio button that states show hidden files and folders.
The location of the app data is in C://
then Users
then Owner or whatever your profile is called
then AppData
then Roaming
then Adobe
then Audition
Just right click and delete the folder. Definitely download and install the 3.01 update after you do your initial install.

Try this instead:

TEXT SOUND STOPS WORKING AND SO DOES ANY SOUND FROM VIDEOS

My texting sound, button clicking and any sound from videos does not work. Is anyone else having that problem. I have had it back to the sprint store 4 times.

The sound on/off button is on, the sound settings are set to ring and not vibrate but the sound will not work. It will ring for incoming phone calls but for nothing else. No video, no text sound, no click while typing, etc. The phone has been reset to factory default 3 times. Apparently, I have a apple phone that is a lemon........

When you say Acrobat stops working then what does exactly happen?
Does it nit launch at all? Do you get any error messages?
What if you try to repair Acrobat installation instead of uninstalling and reinstalling?
Have you checked in a new Admin account and noted the behavior?
Try turning off any Antivirus software you have or add acrobat to its exception list and check.

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:

Quit the QuickTime Player if you have it open. Restart the PC and try watching the videos in iTunes again. Do they play now?

Now I've checked the forums and followed the advice of uninstalling all Apple applications, rebooting, and reinstalling iTunes.

There must be a way to fix this? I'm not a tech geek but I want to avoid having to take my laptop back to factory settings to sort this out.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

The same problem here!... My itunes stucks on "preparing to sync" when sync my ipad 2, and stucks on iphone 4 calendar sync...

If you haven't already done a complete uninstall of all iTunes components, folder wipe and reinstall please try that first. Otherwise please post back with the exact text of the error message next time it occurs.
