Audition how to process tasks in parallel?

Hi,
I've to process some feature leght 5.1 mixes via "Stretch & Pitch process..." It will take up to 3h processing time per conversion but barely utilize my CPU or IO ressources.
So I'm asking me how to run Audition multiple times and process them in parallel?
Audition is designed as "Single Document Interface" SDI so it should run multiple times to process multiple tasks in parallel.
In contrast a MDI "Multiple Document Interface" Application would only run in one instance but would allow to work on multiple projects in parallel.
Hmm - how to get my work done fast and don't waste the ressouces of my fast workstation?

Hello,
Thanks. I am using JSF. I did not see some class that can process the request like in Struts in JSF. I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.0.3.
And I have another question. I am trying to keep the user input, such as inputText1, in the page and change or delete that value in another page. To by pass the upper issue. I have set up the managed bean to be valid in the session such as Backing.Login. How could I access/change the value of the Backing.Login bean in other page's managed bean?
Thanks,
James

  • OIM Process tasks Query

Just wondering how the process tasks are related to the process form fields. E.g. where can I map that if the first name on process form is modified, OIM should trigger the 'First Name Changed' process task. I know about USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS, but I am talking about the task which is mapped to the connector and is responsible for updating data in target application.
    Thanks

if the first name on process form is modifiedIt triggers First Name Updated. It's architecture of OIM that it triggers 'Label Updated' task when you update Process Form. May be some event handlers are attached. Not sure 100% as didn't search for this.

  • How to trigger a process task on IT Resource process form

    Hi,
I want to know how to trigger a process task on IT resource process form using OIM API.For Example:- If a task ilike an e-mail is to be sent on the departure date of a user. So,how can it be done using API?
    Thanks.

This would typically be done through a scheduled task. Write your code to query for the departure date. If someone meets your criteria for an action to occur, you can either use the addProcessTaskInstance which has an adapter attached to it to send the email, or in your code, send the email.
The details that need to be considered though is where the departure date is stored. Is it on a process form, or is it on the user's OIM profile. Do you want to disable the user or revoke the object instance at this departure date? You could use the notification tab of these existing tasks if so.

  • How to call Process Task in AD User proccess definition from Xellerate user

    Hello,
I need a help from you guys.
I have one customized process task in "Xellerate User" Process definition. When my this task executes completely, I would like to call one of the customized process task in "AD User" process definition from xellearte user. Is there any way we can do that?
    Thanks for your any help....

There are lots of ways to accomplish this. I haven't read through the other posts, but here are a few options.
Option 1 - Create a second task that also triggers at the same time, but set the task you already have as preceding. Then on your second task, write whatever code is needed to update a field, insert a new task, whatever the function is that's needed.
Option 2 - On the completion response of your original task, just use the response code to trigger the second task from running. Then again, write whatever code is needed.
Option 3 - Create a UDF on your user form. Add this field to the Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS. When your first task completes, use the APIs to update this field with a new value, perhaps the current date. On your AD Process Definition, create a task with the name you used in the lookup. This task will get triggered whenever the field is updated. Now if the user does not have an AD Instance, you don't have to worry about it ever running.
I'm sure you could create other event handlers as well to do this, it just depends on how creative you want to be.

  • How to run process tasks in Xellerate User form sequentially

I have 2 tasks in the process definition of Xellerate User. One triggers on change in department and the other triggers on manager change. I want the manager task to trigger first and then the department task to run after the values have been updated in the former task. It so happens that always department task is getting triggered first.
I cannot have task dependency in Xellerate User form. I tried setting the response code in the manager task and have it generate department task. In this case the department task is triggered twice. First time it runs before the manager task. The second time since it is a task to run in the response code of manager task.
How to make each task run once and have it done sequentially?

Yes that was my first instinct but I need the old and new values of department and manager. That is possible when I make it a process task.
Heres what I want to do-
If there is a change in department of a user, send mail to manager with old and new department values.
If there is a change in manager when department changes, send mail to old and new manager with old and new department values.

  • How to create parallel tasks using parallel for loops

    Hi,
I am setting up a program that communicates with six logic controllers and has to read the system status every 100 ms. We are using OPC datasockets for this, and they appear a little slow.
I have created a uniform comm. method for all controllers, and now I find myself programming this method six times to communicate with each system. I am wondering if this could be done more elegant using the parallel for loop, in which case I would program an exchange once and then have six workers running simultaneously. Since a picture is more clear that a thousand words, what I am asking is this:
Is it possible to replace something like
    by
and have this for loop running these tasks in parallel (on different cores / in different threads)?
I have configured the loop to create 8 instances at compile, so I would have 2 instances surplus available at runtime if I find I need an additional system.
The benefits of the method show in the second picture to me are:
    * takes less space
    * modifications have to be made only once
    * less blocks, wires and stuff makes it more clear what's going on.
    * flexibility in the actual number of tasks running (8 instances available at runtime)
    * if more tasks are required, I need only to update the maximum number of instances and recompile, i.e. no cutting and pasting required.
Unfortunately, I don't have those system available yet, so there's no way to test this. Yet, I would like to know if the above works as I expect - unfortunately the labview help is not completely clear to me on this.
    Best regards,
    Frans
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Dear mfletcher,
First of all: thanks for confirming that my intuition was right in this case.
As for your question on the help: below is a copy/paste from the help on the 'configure parallelism dialog box'
Number of generated parallel loop instances—Determines the number of For Loop instances LabVIEW generates at compile time. The Number of generated parallel loop instances should equal the number of logical processors on which you expect the VI to execute. If you plan to distribute the VI to multiple computers, Number of generated parallel loop instances should equal the maximum number of logical processors you expect any of those computers to ever contain. Use the parallel instances terminal on the For Loop to specify how many of the generated instances to use at run time. If you wire a larger number to the parallel instances terminal than you specify in this dialog box, LabVIEW only executes as many loop instances as you specify here. The reason for me doubting if what I programmed would work the way I intended lies in the fact that the help only mentions processors here, which would be interpreted as actual cores. Thus on a dual core machine, the number should be 2.
I think it would be helpful to mention something about threads here, because in some case one would like to have more parallel threads than there are cores in a system.
In mu case I would like to create six threads, which on my dual core processor would be spread over only two cores. Then these six threads run in parallel.I know that in case of heavy math that would not help, but since I am doing communications, which have timeouts and such, and that probably runs smoother in six parallel tasks even though I only have two cores.
Hope this helps in improving the help of the for loop.

  • How to catch rollback in Disable user process task in Xellerat User Process

    hi ...
I want to send an email to manager group of the user, once the user is disabled from the OIM (when end date is reached). I created an adapter and attached it to the ‘Changed User Disabled’ process task in the ‘xellerate user provisioning’ process and add a new row in the “Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGERS” Lookup definition. (code key: USR_DISABLED and Decode: Change User Disabled ). This adapter executes only when the user status is equal to “disabled”.
This works correctly when the OIM user disabling process execute without any errors. But sometimes while disabling the user it gives an error (“resource is not configured properly”) and rolls back everything and make the user active. But at the same time my adapter runs and sends the mail informing user is disabled but yet user is active.
My problem is how can I find or catch rolls back transaction in the “Disable User” process task (which is in “Xellerate User” process”) ??? If I can get to know that a roll back is occurred then I can send a mail to OIM administrator, informing that user disable process is failed.
Can someone please help me to find this..
    Thanks in advance :)
    Regards,
    i.k.

    Hi Rajiv,
Error occurs while disabling the user due to resource configuration problems. ( error message is : DOBJ.RESOURCE_NOTCONFIGURED_PROPERLY -- One or more provisioned resource is not configured properly) In this case i know the problem and how to solve it. But what I want to know is in any case if disable process get fail and if things get roll back again, then how can I track that situation and send a mail to OIM Admin(informing the failure) instead of sending a mail to user managers saying that user account has been disabled.
I think now my problem is clear…. Can u please help me to find this.

  • How to execute SQOOP.cmd file from SSIS execute process task?

How to execute SQOOP.cmd file from SSIS execute process task?
What is argument need to be prefixed in the arguments property
    Executable: C:\Hadoop\sqoop-1.4.2\bin\sqoop.cmd
    Arguments: /C "sqoop import -connect "jdbc:sqlserver://mysystem:1433;database=test;username=myuser;password=mypwd;" -table emp  -target-dir /user/emptable -m 1"
    Thanks
    Durga

    Hi Durga,
SQOOP.cmd must be no different than any other .cmd/.bat I assume, your question is more about setting the parameters up I guessed.
So unless the arguments change dynamically you can call SQOOP.cmd from yet another .cmd that has its parameters passed to it and the former you simply set to run without the arguments in Execute Process Task.
Otherwise, in general to set a bat/cmd file to run in SSIS one needs to do this:
PS: It is a good idea to populate the working directory with the path to the .cmd

  • How Assigned TO field will be updated in "start Approval process" Task Action

I have created a reusable workflow in sharepoint designer. Am using “start Approval process“ Task Action. I have a question in “start Approval process“ Task Action.
I have username field in the list.  I have created a task form field with name username in “start Approval process“ Task Action. I have assigned list username field to task field username field.
I have entered a user details in list user name field for new list item. Once the workflow has been started for that item a mail has been sent to the user whose name I have entered in the list user name field. Task has been assigned to the user whose name
I have entered in the list user name field.
When I have checked start Approval process task a send mail activity is present (Email Task notification currentitem:Assigned TO) .
I have not update Assigned To field explicitly.
    1. Where / how the Assigned TO field is getting updated ?
    2. Workflow Initiation and task creation will be done internally by the user who created the item in the list?
    Thanks

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had questions about the “start Approval process“ Task Action.
When you add the “start Approval process“ Task Action, you need to to select the user who the task assign to.
To assign the user whose name you have entered in the list user name field, you add action as below:
After you select the user, the Assigned TO field is getting updated.
In addition, workflow Initiation and task creation will be done internally by the user who created the item in the list.
    Thank you for your understanding.

  • How process tasks are selected

    Hi All,
I need to know how OIM comes to know which process task needs to run after the previous is completed.
    eg
In a normal AD provisioning I see the below tasks completed after user is created.I wanted to know how OIM knows the sequence of these and how OIM knows which one is to be executed.
1.User must change password at next logon Updated
    2.Create User
    3.ExecuteRemoteScript Completed
    4.Password never expires Updated
    5.Account Expiration Date Updated
    6.Get Object GUID Created
I thought it wd be Task Dependency tab ,hence I checked the it for Create User but It was blank
    Also,
What is the meaning of Object GUID?
    Sorry for my basic question

    Hi Sunny
    AFAIU, his question was different.
Suppose I am running OIM a my machine and I have provisioned TUSER in AD. That TUSER account will have an ObjectGUID say ABCD1234.
Now you have another instance of OIM at your machine and you are also using same AD.
Question: Will ObjectGUID be same for Instances ?
My Answer was: Yes ObjectGUID will be same for both OIM Instances as it is related to AD not to OIM.
In OIM, ObjectGUID stores in Encrypted format. So the encryption algorithem is different for both instances but ObjectGUID will be same.
For example if OIM 1 converts ABCD1234 into abcd4321qwer and OIM 2 converts ABCD1234 into tryuo4332. But in both cases ObjectGUID will be same but it appears to be different in different OIM instances just because of their Encryption Algorithem.
I wanted to make that 100% but I was expecting him to make it 100%. (Just for his understanding)
    I hope I understood question correctly. ;-)

  • How to disable an out of the box disable User process task  from resource?

How should I disable the out of the box disable User process task that is assigned to a particular resource? If I disable this disable User process task, when the user is provisioned to the same resource will I be able to stop this disable User process from running?
My requirement: I need to disable the disable user process task from three resources x, y and z. Whenever a user is provisioned to one of these resources I should stop this disable user process task an out of the box process task from running. How can this be accomplished?? Please help me out on how to configureto remove the process task in the OIM Admin console to stop the process task.

You can avoid the disable task from triggering by removing the Disable Process Or Access to Application from the task effect drop down in the process task. But this task is triggered once the user is disabled. But still I didn't understand the exact scenario.
By the way the disable task is triggered when the user gets disabled and not when the user is provisioned.

  • How to create process task adaptor for Manager DN for OID?

    Thanks in advance,
We are trying to get provision users in OID and need to populate manager DN. We created pre-populated Rule generator adaptor to create user in OID. We used utility task and concat cn=managerid and ",, cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com." it work great at the time of user creation. Now we are trying to build "process task" adaptor in same way but it is failing and complaining about users not exist.
I used same way to build process task adaptor as I did for prepoulate rule generator only difference it selected "Process task" at the time of creation. I am new to OIM and trying to get some details. Please let me know if I am missing something.
If you already build process task adaptor to create users in OID with single location, I will appreciate that if you share with me.
    Example cn=user1, cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com.
    Thanks,
    -Ishaq

    Hi
You have changed the manager DN in Trusted Resource and you are able to update this information in OIM also. Now you want to update this manager DN in OID.
If this your requirement then following link may help you
    OIM password
Or in this task you can write your java code to update the process form attached with the provisioning process of user.
    It should work.

  • SSIS - How to run command line to copy files with User Variables within a Execute Process Task

    Hello,
I'm am having syntax issues within the Arguments when trying to copy a file with cmd.exe using User Variables.
    It works when I hard code the arguments : /c copy /b  "\\folder1\file.txt" "\\folder2\file.txt"
However, it's failing when I try using User Variables to replace the directory and file.
    User::FILES = \\folder1\file.txt
    User::FILE_NAME = file.txt
    "/c copy /b + @[User::FILES] + \" \\\\folder2\\" + @[User::FILE_NAME]"
Does anybody know what's wrong with my syntax?
    Thanks!

    Hi SSISBeginner,
Assuming the source file is "C:\Temp\Source\file.txt", the destination folder is "C:\Temp\Destination", the expression of FILES variable is "C:\Temp\Source\file.txt", and the expression of FILE_NAME variable is file.txt. Then, we can use the following
expression for the Argument property of the Execute Process Task:
    "/C COPY /B "  +  @[User::FILES] + " C:\\Temp\\Destination\\" +   @[User::FILE_NAME]
Note: Pay attention to the spaces in the double quotes in the expression.
