Authentification from tow LDAP in webcenter spaces

My customer need to open authentification in webcenter spaces for all his employees and for his partners which are saved on tow different LDAP directory.
How can i do to allow authentification from this tow LDAP directory?
Regards.
CMN

In Weblogic Console,
Go to Security Realm - myrealm - Providers, select New
Type your new Realm name, for example MSAD,select type ActivityDirectoryAuthentication and OK.
In myrealm providers you'll see your new provider, click in reoder and put the new provider at first position. Do not restart server yet.
Select your new provider, in Commom tab select Control Flag as SUFFICIENT.
Go to Provider Specifc Tab, this is the configurantion tab, put your MSAD configuration.
The principal field is the user that bind in your MSAD to search your MSAD users.
User Base DN, is base that contains users.
User From Name Filter: (&(sAMAccoauntName=%u)(objectclass=user))
User Name Attribute: sAMAccountName.
Apply all configurations, go to myrealm providers, select DefaultAuthentication and change Control Flag to SUFFICIENT.
Restart you Admin and all your managed servers.
Hope that help you.

  • Webcenter Spaces -Datacontrol to take dynamic bindparameters from taskflow

    Hi,
I am trying to create a databound page in WebCenter Spaces. The scenario is :
    1. A user logs in with user-id and password.
    2. Once authenticated, the user-id is used to get the applicaitons that user can see, from the database.
    3. Using the application records(from the datbase table), a set of tabs (each representing an application is created) on the welcome page.
    4. When the user clicks on the tab, the related application url is used to load the application page on the tab.
The issue I have is - Once the user-id is verified, I could not figure out how to pass the user-id into a task flow which has a data-control ( query to get application records). This is because when I created the datacontrol with bind parameters, it did not allow me to save the datacontrol without hardcoding the bind parameter. So, the datacontrol always runs on one user-id hard coded during its creation. Any help/suggestion/guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Why not use following expression:
    #{securityContext.userName}
    This will retun the username.

  • File download from a portletized ADF app running in webcenter spaces.

    Hi,
I am having trouble downloading non static files from a portletized(with ADFPortletBridge) ADF application running as a portlet producer in Webcenter spaces .
    This is my scenario :
    Jdev : 11.1.1.3
    Webcenter : 11.1.1
The ADF app has a query page, that uses the af:query component to do a query and display results on a table. This table data need to be exported as a file with some changes like splitting address to component city and state columns .
The ADF app makes use of af:filedownloadlistener to get this(HTML formatted file with an .xls ext is our current preference to get it to open in excel, but could be anything) done . The ADF app works just fine, but as section 30.2.5.5 in the web center dev guide points out http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_bridge.htm#CACBHDEF
    > The <af.fileDownloadActionListener> component is not supported.
The actual behavior however is that the export happens when triggered, but the component keep serving up the same file it created the first time it got invoked every subsequent time. The same file is served even across sessions.
The alternatives I've considered so far are :
    1. <af:exportCollectionActionListener> - Exports what you see on the UI table. Would not work for us, because our exported data is different than whats on screen. (eg: whole addresses are displayed as a single column, but broken down as component city and state columns in exported data )
UPDATE : <af:exportCollectionActionListener> exhibits the same behavior as <af.fileDownloadActionListener> in a portlet environment. The first time after deployment it works, and every subsequent time (across sessions) it serves up the same file it first generated.
    2. redirect to a servlet - admittedly half baked idea - fiire an action that will generate the report, then put it in sessionScope , redirect to a servlet that would pick up the report from session and stream it to the user by setting the servlet's response content type. Very unsure if this would fly in a portlet environment (sorry, I'm new to portlets) and even if it does, section 30.2.5.2 in the web center dev guide says :
Do not redirect or forward a request within your JSP. JSR 168 only supports requestDispatcher.include(). The use of httpServletResponse.sendRedirect() or requestDispatcher.forward() results in exceptions and errors. Am I overlooking some feature that would let me do this or whats the recommended method to achieve this functionality of exporting a file generated at run-time in a portlet environment ?

  • Edit option not enabled for workflow content from within Content Presenter in Webcenter Spaces

I have a webcenter spaces portal page with a content presenter displaying a html page using the default out of the box template. The html page is located in webcenter content / UCM under a folder on which the " All Reviewer" seeded workflow is enabled. The issue i am seeing is when the file is in workflow the edit option is not being enabled even though the reviewer should be able to edit/approve the content in this step. The other functions like workflow approve or reject and switching between workflow version and published version are all enabled. Also when rejected the content does not show edit option from the content presenter (cntrl-C option) for the original author to make any updates.
What would need to be done to enable editing from within the content presenter for workflow content?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi Sreedhar
    We are using WCP 11.1.1.8.5
    To recreate the issue
    1)  Login to WCC Portal: Spaces as admin user , create a New Page under a webcenter spaces portal
    2)  Under the space , Pages Section , select the page and click edit
    3) In Design mode , choose Content Management and Add Document Explorer and Add Content Presenter on the page
    4)  The Document Explorer will default to the Current Space/portal directory under MyWebcenterSpaces in UCM
    5) Create a directory "content" under the Portal space using the document explorer.
    6) Right Click on Content folder and choose details. In Details view , go to File->workflow settings and pick a seeded workflow -> MyWCSAllReviewer. Add a user as workflow approver
    7) After workflow is enabled on this folder upload a basic html page with simple text into this folder
    8) Now in the design mode choose edit in the content presenter and select the "single content view" with default template to display an Image or HTML. Click browse and select the html that was added to workflow
    9) Save the Page and view the portal. Workflow should now be enabled for any content changes to that html page.
    10) Click Cntrl-shift-c in portal/space as an authenticated user with edit access to content and make an edit to content , this will trigger worklow . The author currently will see edit option get disabled once content enters workflow
    11)  Login as approver to the portal and cntrl-shift-C to the portal and workflow options(approve and reject) are enabled but the edit option is not. If you reject content , the author should be able to edit content in the content presenter mode, this also is not available. The issue is the content is now no longer available for editing from wthin content presenter if it is in workflow to either the approver or the original author depending on workflow step. If you check the same content under the document explorer the option to edit is enabled. Is this a bug /issue with content Presenter or some option needs enabled?

If the WLS that contains Webcenter Spaces already is configured with this ldap in security realm, you don't do anything

  • Webcenter-spaces development from scratch

    Hi all,
Can u pls guide me how to incorporate a webcenter-spaces portion into Jdeveloper from scratch.
    For example :
How to create profile in spaces, and to manage that profile from Jdeveloper ?
I can't able to find relevant discussion regarding this.

What you mean by profile? You mean user profile or role? I am little confused.
if u want to create asset see this

  • Passing session parameter to a portlet from webcenter spaces page

How do you pass a parameter to a portlet on a WebCenter Spaces page? For example, I have the user's company ID in the session, I need to pass that company ID to the portlet defined to accept a company ID parameter so that the returned data can be filtered.

You can for example add the companyID to the url of the page and then pass that parameter to the parameter of your portlet.
Have you created your portlet to enable inter portlet communication? You should first do that and create a navigation-parameter in the oracle.xml. If you don't know what i'm talking about, i'll explain a bit more.
Their is another way, which is easier i think, is to set the value of your portlet parameter to an expression language refering to a session variabel.
In you portlet parameter set the companyId (if you have created a navigation-parameter companyID) to following value:
#{sessionScope.company}You will have to set the value of that session variable from within your webcenter spaces.
How are you doing that? Are you planning on setting that variable using another portlet, taskflow,... This can be very important on how webcenter reactt on parameters and it can also give you additional ways on passing the parameters.

  • How to Programmatically Get Preferences from WebCenter Spaces

    Hi,
I'm developing a custom task flow to be added to WebCenter Spaces 11.1.1.4.0 (PS3).
Spaces provides a Preferences link where a logged in user can change his/her preferences such as language, time format, date format, and time zone. I would like my custom task flow code to honor these settings.
Can someone point me to the right API or tutorial that explains this?
    Thanks.

  • Multiple-node WebCenter Spaces config with default file-based policy

    hi,
My customer will use web center 11g on multiple linux server, I noticed there is a comment in wc doc like this:
    =========================================
The default file-based policy store can only be used for single-node WebCenter Spaces configurations. For multi-node configurations, you must reassociate the policy and credential store with an external LDAP-based store (such as Oracle Internet Directory) as described in Section 23.4, "Configuring the Policy and Credential Store."
The policy store can be configured to use Oracle Internet Directory 11gR1 and 10.1.4.3, and OVD 11gR1 with the Local Store Adapter (LSA).
The identity store can be configured to use the following LDAP servers:
Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11gR1 and 10.1.4.3
Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11gR1 and 10.1.4
    Sun iPlanet version 4.1.3
Active Directory shipped as part of Windows 2000
    Open LDAP version 2.0.7
    Novell NDS version 8.5.1
    ========================================
My customer only has AD, they don't have budget to buy oid at this time, according to the statement "The policy store can be configured to use Oracle Internet Directory 11gR1 and 10.1.4.3, and OVD 11gR1 with the Local Store Adapter (LSA).", does that mean the wc policy store can not use other ldap such as ad in multiple-node wc configuration?
If performance is not an issue, can I use default file-based policy store in this case?
If it's impossible for the customer to buy oid at this time, what's the possible solution?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards

You can configure directly with AD.
Basically your WebLogic server needs to be configured to talk to AD. You can configure an Identity provider in Weblogic server which uses AD as LDAP.
This should work in multi-node environment.
Also, i do not see any reason why file based jazn-data should not work.
Best solution from my perspective if Weblogic AD configuration does not work:
Create and manage your users and roles in Weblogic embedded LDAP. All you have to change in your application is the realm to the name of weblogic realm(default is myrealm) and while deploying make sure you uncheck the create users and roles.

  • WebCenter Spaces People Search

    Hi !
I want exact name of API in webcenter spaces which provudes name of all people who are registered in spaces.
when we want to invite people we clicks tab for search in spaces and it gives list of all the names.
we also have taskflow/API for profile search in webcneter but as developer i want to know what are those api and where do I find them.
what all function can be performend for search of people in spaces

    Hi,
I have been playing around with user information lately as well and user information is not completely stored within a Spaces but through Oracle Identity Store. It will depend on you specific environment configuration but youcould query against your LDAP.
Here you have a link that was helpful for me:
From Oracle® Fusion Middleware Installation Guide for Oracle WebCenter:
4.8 Configuring an External LDAP-Based Identity Store
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/install.1111/e12001/webcenterservice_install.htm#BABIDAFG
from there browse to the Identity Store configuration and I think you'll find the information you need.

  • WebCenter Spaces – Extend User Profile Page

    Hi All,
We have a requirement to modify the default user profile page in WCS.
We have to remove most of the fields and add additional fields that are specific for the customer. According to the extending the WCS white paper you can only get / set the data in existing fields based on creating a customProfileattribute.
Is this possible at the current stage of evolution of WCS?
    Cheers
    Bob

In my current project, we have similar requirement.
    To Remove existing attributes:-
You can hide profile fields after customizing User/My Profile Pages from WCS -->Administration --> Pages-->System Pages. See following guides:-
7.3 Working with System Pages: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e10149/admin_pages.htm#CJABBBCE
30.5 Viewing and Editing Personal Profiles: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e10149/profile.htm#CHDDIHJG
    To Add new attributes:
You can add new fields in profile page of WebCenter Spaces by using SampleWebCenterSpacesExtensions application. You can take instructions from following guide:-
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/owcs-ps3-wcs-ext-samples-wp-308576.pdf. There are following two class files in ProfileAttribute project
    a. ExtendedProfileAttributes (You need to add new LDAP attributes in this class)
    b. CustomProfileImpl (You can override existing attribute by using this class)
Once you done adding new attributes in ExtendedProfileAttributes, deploy this project as a shared-lib. Then you have to follow following guide in order to see your changes in WebCenter Spaces:-
53 Extending WebCenter Spaces Using JDeveloper: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_wcsres.htm#CHDEECCE

  • AccessControlException: access denied when logging into WebCenter Spaces

I am running into an issue with my new WebCenter 11g PS5 deployment.
I have a single domain with WebCenter Content and WebCenter Portal, but the servers are stored in $ORACLE_BASE/admin/wc_domain/aserver and $ORACLE_BASE/admin/wc_domain/mserver as per the Enterprise Deployment Guide.
Everything seems fine, all my servers start up (from the Admin console through the Node Manager), I can log into WebCenter Spaces, but once I am forwarded to the home page I am thrown out and sent to the error page. In the log there is the following error:

If I start the managed server using startManagedWebLogic.sh from the prompt, it works without issues.
Node Manager is using the startWebLogic.sh file by default.
I have set up other domains with all the standard paths, so my guess is that this may be caused by a (conflicting) path issue.
Any idea what could be causing this?

If you read the above trace from bottom to top, it shows none of you classes, only classes from that Eclipse library, which seems to loadLibrary() a native DLL. In order to do this, it needs to call System.getProperty( "sun.arch.data.model" ). This call is not allowed from un unsigned applet. So I guess you need to sign the applet and this problem will go away. Many other problems may follow. Just read very very carefully all the related documentation, which I did not.
