How can I find out if a user has authorization to change a query?

Hi,
Try the object S_QUERY inSUIM transaction.
Assign this object to the user Role for the activities required.
You will be able to assign the 02[change] or 23[maintain] activity for changing a query.

    I`m developing a concept of authorizations for key user who should be able to maintain certain
    objects in the query designer. For other objects they should have access “read only”.
    The users have authorizations  to  design new queries.  They should be able to use existing variables
    (SAP Business Content ( 0*) and customer variables (z*). On this point, I have a problem: in the selection window of the query designer there are only buttons to create, to delete and to edit a variable.
    The user must have authorizations for changing, although he just wants to look for the definition
    of a variable (if he wants to see their basic or global settings before using the variable).
    I can´t find a possibility to switch from “edit” to “read only”.
    The users should only see and apply variables from others (SAP, collegues), but he mustn´t be able to
    change them.
    The user needs the following authorization objects:  S_RS_COMP , activity =02 (change), also
    authorization object S_RS_COMP1. If I give the users only activity 03 (display),
    the user get the message: “display not allowed”.
    Is there any possibility to give a key user the authorization to display all variables with
    their definitions?

    This is may be due to the authorization but still you can check the consistency check for these queries using RSRV.

  • Authorization for ABAP Query

    Hello all,
    Can I benefit a little from your experience with SAP Query(ABAP) and Adhoc Query(ABAP)?
    My customer want to use both SAP Query and Adhoc Query.
    And they want to separate for SAP Query as preset report program and Adhoc Query as general-purpose reporting tool.
    And I want to know how to separate authorizations of SAP Query and Adhoc Query as below.
    As for SAP Query, users can only execute and cannnot change or delete it.
    As for Adhoc Query, users can save Queries they created or changed in Adhoc Query.
    I know there is only one authorization object for SAP Query:S_QUERY
    Is there any solution for that kind of request?

    We have check in the abap program ask you functional to give the authorization object i.e. y_k_autchk
    and ask him for which filed we have to give authorizaion.
        AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT y_k_autchk
        ID 'WERKS' FIELD y_wa_tvarv-low.

  • Authorization Problem with Query

    Hi,
    A query has been created and assigned package as $TMP in Dev system by another person. Now when i am trying to change that query in the same Dev system which was created by another person i am getting the error "You donot have authorization to change" . What should i do to change the query? I am using BW 3.5 version.

                 you can check this in tcode S_BCE_68001397.
                 Give Authorization object S_RS_COMP
                 Click on "Enter value"
                 Give type of reporting component "REP"
                  If you want to check chnage access then give activity "02"
                  "Execute"(F8)
                   You will get list,then check for your user id in the list.

  • Authorization: create a query view in Production

    Hi BI experts,
    We are on BI 7.0 and we have some queries in Production...the issue here is 2 users want to create a global Query View  and saved it under a some Role ....
    how should the authorization in PFCG can be done....
    Right now
    1) In PFCG I created a Role where in Included those 2 Users
    2) Under authorizations Tab ---> change authorization
    i have a profie for Business information warehouse under that BEx - components ..
    I put the infocueb name , name of the reporting component...type of reporting comp - I choose Query View..
    Is anything else we have to do ...coZ  the user still cannot create a query view in production.

    Dear Nikhil,
    In case of BW 3.5, you have two transactions for management authorization: Maintains Roles (PFCG) and Reporting Authorizations Object (RSSM).
    In Maintains Roles (PFCG) you can setup the role profile, create, add authorization object and setup.
    In Reporting Authorizations Object (RSSM) you can setup the authorization by characteristics which you need restrict by value, also you can access to RSRT transaction where you simulate the query execution, after that, you come back to RSSM transaction and select Authorization Check Log to see the output execute. The difference between 7.0 is which you need to access with specific user… in other word, if you need to test user 1, you could access in BW 3.5 with this user 1 and run RSRT, then you check output in RSSM Authorization Check Log.
    Into your role you should have the following authorization object:
    S_RS_FOLD for see folder InfoArea.
    S_USER_AGR activity 01,02 and 22 and role name
    S_USER_TCD transaction code RRMX
    And
    S_RS_COMP activity 03 and 16, InfoArea, InfoCube, Name of Reportign, Type.
    S_RS_ICUBE activity 03 and 16, InfoCube Data, InfoArea, InfoCube.
    Into the role after you assign authorization object created in RSSM, you should setup the value of each characteristic selected for the object.

  • Problems in creation of workbook using Change query local view.

    Hi Experts,
    I have created a Multiprovider by using union of two infocubes and created a Query based on Multiprovider.  I want to restrict one infocube in Change Query local view for creating new workbooks.  In Query global view we drag and drop the Infocube under Filters, but in the Query local view Filter panel is in disable mode. (My requirement is to create the workbooks using change query local view only)
    How can I restrict the one Infocube values in the workbooks by using Change query local view?

    Hi Venkat Prasad
    As you told that the query is on multi provider and the view is not allowing to declare/define filter value
    Just drag the infoprovider info object avilable under packet dimension to rows and right click on it restrict by selecting the name of the info provider when u right click it will show you the option of restrict once u click on it,it will takes to u a pop up where you can able to see the name of info providers and you specify according to it and finally in the display of results if you dont want to to display the info provider name then just right click on the 0infoprovider object under rows go to properties then choose hide option under display.

  • No Authorization to change Purchase Order for Professional Purchaser

    Hi Experts, I am facing the following issue,
    System Info :
    SRM 5.0
    ECC 6.0
    IE 6.0
    I logged in as the professional Purchaser in to My SAP SRM browser and when I try to change a Direct material purchase order, I get the following message:
    No Authorization to change Purchase Order xxxxxxxxxxx.
    Here is my sequence of operations:
    Logged in as Proff Purchaser, selected the process purchase order link, then selected the purchase order from  the worklist and click on the change icon.
    Please let me know if need to customize any settings.

       In trascn PFCG,for the role of Startegic purchaser,under the Personalization tab,set the attribute  BBP_WFL_SECURITY to '4'.Also,check the authorisation data for the Strategic purchaser role.

    We have a workbook, it have 1 queries, and when we key in condition to run it, in one field we put on one more condition(Z3XXX = ' WZO'  & ' WZA")(User didn't have authorization for this condition),  and workbook report no authorization.
    Then we checked  authorization check log and it show "You do not have sufficient authorization on Z3XXX = ' WCO'.
    But when we execute the related query with same condition. the query can open and show WZA's data.
    I'd like to know the reason.

  • Using "Restrict by app" in change query causes issues with Search Results

    Hello!
    I am hoping some experienced SP admin can help me out. I am having issues with the relevance ranking for my search results web part.
    I created a Wiki (OOTB) within a site collection and on the home page of the Wiki I was looking to apply a Search Box and Search Results web part for easy searching. I wanted to ensure the search results were restricted to the scope of the pages within the
    wiki. I did the following after adding the 2 web parts:
    Entered edit mode for the page
    Started to edit the Search Results web part
    Under Properties for Search Results clicked on "Change Query"
    Navigated to BASICS and clicked "Switch to Quick Mode"
    For Select Query, picked "Wiki (System)" option
    For Restrict by app, picked "Specify a URL" and input the wiki URL "http://webapp.com/sites/sitecollection/wiki"
    Click OK
    The web part has 6 automatic results when I hit the page. These are the only 6 pages in my wiki. When I search a word or title of a page, they are not ranked in order or relevance. The ordering is static to what was being shown before the search, but the
    keywords I'm searching are bold. With out the taking the steps above, I can easily search these pages and have them ranked appropriately so I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong. 
    Other Details
    The pages have been crawled and can be searched from anywhere else in SP.
    I am only a site collection admin for this specific site collection.
    I other than the steps above, I have not made any changes or customization to the search web parts; they are both out of the box SP.
    The SP Farm admin we unable to pin point what the root cause is either.

    Sorry for the wait, I was unable to post pictures, which i felt would better describe my issue.
    Could you output the query template you are ending up with?
    If you can tell me how to accomplish this, then I can provide it. Please keep in mind that I am only a site collection admin.
    Also, is the ranking/sorting for your webpart set to ranking?
    When looking at the web part settings, I didn't see an option to modify the ranking. Unfortunately, some sites in my intranet are down now so I can't even double check. Once it's back up, I will verify this as well.
    And how do you know they are ranked incorrectly?
    I wanted to display an image showing what I meant by this. As the wiki is down, I'll do my best with words. When I visit the wiki home page, I already have the search and search results web parts there. Without searching anything, the search results
    web part displays 6 pages that are available in the wiki. When I search, I expect to see the most relevant result at the top. similar to the following: 
    *Search result from another section of the intranet site.*
    What I receive instead is the same list of wiki pages, in the same order. The most relevant result
    is not moved to the top like in the image above, but I can see that the word "rush" is highlighted in bold. I hope this helps.

    Unfortunately there is no way to pass the query dynamically in DB Adapter. The reasoning behind that is that the DB adapter configuration wizard creates multiple assist files for each operation including the xsd which can not be created for any query dynamically.

    Either use XA datasources or throw a rollback fault in the catch block.

  • Authorization to change attribute co.code

    Hi,
    We have tested and see that authorization to change attributes is coming from role /SAPSRM/MANAGER. Our goal in here is to make the attribute company code to be changeable for purchaser, but the purchaser cannot change other attribute. Can someone enlight me of how to do this?

    Thanks for the reply, but I think you mis-understand my question. The note you're giving me is for allowing some field in the document to be edited during approval process. While what I asked is to know about authorization object that allowing a person to edit his/her own attributes. It seems that this object is linked to role MANAGER. We would like to know the spesific auhtorization object for maintaining attributes BUK (co.code).

    Hello,
    When trying to change an opportunity in our CRM system we get this error message only for one partner.
    "No authorization to change authorization data"
    Our user has SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW and we don't find anything in st01.
    Any idea for this issue? Could it be an HR authorization object missing? Or a CRM one?

    Sometimes error messages are misleading or returned from other users's contexts (rfc, service calls, etc) or even hardcoded in worste cases.
    You will need to debug it and stop on the message number to see where it is coming from and why.

  • Authorizations for adhoc query

    Hi all,
    I am facing a problem with authorization on adhoc query. The following is what I am trying to achieve: Power Users are able to design a query but they are only allowed to save the query with the prefix "p_"
    In PFCG I have set this up in s_rs_comp and s_rs_comp1 but I am still able to save the query under z_...... The role I have setup is quite plain, it has s_rfc, s_tcode, s_rscomp,
    s_rscomp1 en s_rsicube. Have I forgot to setup something else?
    anyone any idea?
