Authorization working differently in Web app.template

Hello all
I created an authorization object and gave access to 2 projects (say 10,20 and :). I created a query and created a authorization variable to the project. When I tested the query, it showing only the proejcts the user has access to. But when I create a Web template and created a dropdown box and referred the data provider to this query, system is showing only one project. If I add any new projects to the authorization also, it is showing only one value. But if I add *, then it shows all projects. I am in BI 7.0
Not sure where I am doing the mistake. can any one help

Check the infoobject property in your query defiinition, if you have selected Access type for Result Values as Posted values then you will get only values that are available in the your cubes or DSO. If you need to see all values(Projects authorization values then choose Master data option on the Advance tab of your query.

Basically,ctx.CurrentItem.ServerRedirectedURL is calculated by a managed property ServerRedirectedURL which needs to be included in the display template.

"Edit templates" feature not working properly for web apps in Dreamweaver CS6?

This is along with the web apps tag list not appearing in the Data tab of the Business Catalyst side palette.
However, it works fine with the existing announcement module.
Is this feature unavailable for use with web apps, or am I doing something wrong?

We have a bug that prevents correct web app matching if the web app name contains ' ' (space), + (plus), '(', ')', '[', ']' .
In order to work around the bug please remove space, plus or parentheses from the webapp name.

PowerPoint presentations not working with Office Web Apps

I have deployed Lync 2013 and Office Web Apps Server in order to share PowerPoint presentations. All te sharings are working fine (Desktop, Program, Whiteboard, Poll) but PowerPoint presentations.
I have re-installed Office Web Apps Server several times but it doesn't work:
Discovery URL is OK
Event IDs in Lync Server Event Viewer are OK
I have checked certificate and created it twice and that's not the problem (when tried to use a wrong certificate, the behaviour was different).
Tried aspnet_regiis but didn't worked.
Both Lync Server and Office Web Apps Server are updated.
Servers are Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
I have tested both Lync 2013 and Lync 2013 Basic clients but no one works.
When I share a PowerPoint, I can see it follows the whole way through LyncShare, Lync Server and Office Web Apps Server. PowerPoint files get to Office Web Apps Server (different name but I can move then to other workstation and check
they are the files shared).
Clients begin showing a "Loading..." but end showing "Network connectivity lost or server too busy" (after 90 seconds more or less).

If I put this URL in the browser, it turns black and shows "Loading..." and, after a long while, "PowerPoint Web App...", but it remains in this state (loading) without working.

It seems that something is not working between the clients and Office Web Apps Server. There is not a firewall and machines see each other. Certificate is accepted.
I have tried so many thing but none of them worked.
Does anybody have an idea?

There is a HLB but I thought of that and tested both: with HLB and pointing just a Front End, without HLB. In both cases, results were the same.
I can access the Front End pool web services from the WAC server using the IE.

Incoming Email not working for one web app, but IS working for others in same farm.

I have enabled incoming email in a large multi-web application farm running SharePoint 2013 SP1 and the Feb 2015/March 2015 CUs that were pushed down in Windows Updates. It works just fine for two web applications, but it will not work for one particular
web application. I see the email land in the /drop folder. If I remove the email address from the library in http://nonworkingapp web
application and use it on a library in a http://working web application, then the email is processed successfully. Conversely,
if I take an address from a library in http://working and move it to a library inhttp://nonworkingapp it
does not work. I've tried multiple site collections on http://nonworkingapp. This rules out any SMTP issues, etc. and means
the issue is bound to this web application. Permissions are the same between the "non-working" and "working" locations: domain users are members on the site, and the library inherits permissions from the site. The App Pool and Timer
Service accounts have rights to the folder and to the library.
The error in the ULS log is the typical error processing message, but it gives no additional information even though I have enabled Verbose logging.
The Incoming E-Mail service has completed a batch. The elapsed time was 00:00: 00.0156294. The service processed 2 message(s) in total. Errors occurred processing 2 message(s): Message ID: Message
ID:
Typically, you see "alias not found" or some permissions or quota issue here, but this issue is NOT the same as those. In this case NO additional information is provided in ULS.
Edit: running stsadm.exe -o refreshdms -url http://one/failing/site fixed some similar issues where "Unknown alias" was
reported even though the list did have an alias (see here:http://blogs.technet.com/b/vinitt/archive/2009/07/15/e-mail-enabled-list-alias-information-is-not-synchronized-between-configuration-database-and-content-database.aspx).
This did not fix the issue for the case mentioned above.
What could possibly be the issue preventing incoming email from working on this one web application?

Thanks for your reply. Incoming E-Mail was running on all 3 WFE, however I do not think this was the cause. As noted, _other_ emails send to http://workingapp are working just fine. I can send two emails - one to a library on http://workingapp
and another on http://notworkingapp. The email to http://notworkingapp will sit in the drop folder, while the one to http://workingapp will be processed correctly. In addition, the ULS log on WFE1 indicates an attempt to process the file fails.
So clearly, the timer job on WFE1 is running and attempting to process the file. For kicks, I disabled the service on WFE2 and WFE3, but with no change in the behavior.
WRT to #1, I have done this already (as noted in the original post). I can remove an alias from http://workingapp and place it on http://nonworkingapp and it is not processed. If I return it to http://workingapp it is processed. In other
words, I go into Library Settings -> Incoming Email for a working library, and copy the alias, then disable incoming email for that library. I then go to Library Settings -> Incoming Email for a non-working library, enable incoming email, and paste
the alias. Once done, emails sent to the alias are not processed. I then do the reverse, and it works again.
On #2, I have already tried multiple libraries on http://nonworkingapp (also as noted in the original post).
In my environment, incoming email does not work for any library on http://nonworkingapp, but does work for any library on http://workingapp. Troubleshooting listed above has ruled out any problem with basic mail server configuration or library settings

I'm not sure what you mean by "steps to reproduce the issue". If I knew that, I would probably be able to solve the issue. The best I could come up with to describe the situation would be:
Set up SP 2010 in a three-node configuration with multiple web apps
Enable incoming email and confirm it works
Migrate to a SP2013 SP1 farm in a three node configuration.
Enable a new email alias for a library
Observe that it doesn't work for one web application.
Obviously, it's pretty unlikely that attempting that in a lab would actually have the same result.

I work with a web app that will not run on Firefox, so I changed my default browser back to IE but the URL link continues to open in Firefox. How can I get it to default to IE?

After changing my default browser from Firefox back to IE, other URLs are defaulting to IE but I have one URL that continues to default to Firefox. This web app will only run in IE so the only way I can run it is to open IE first and then enter or select the URL. Is there a setting someplace that will change the default browser for this URL to be IE?

Start IE and let IE make itself the default browser.

I'm sorry you are having this problem. Are you able to find a link to the webapp in your history that doesn't have 'm' or mobile in it? Maybe you are now being redirected to the simpler version?

In ver 8xx download one file don't work with Outlook Web App

In prev versions all was ok.

Outlook Web Access sends an illegal Content-Dispositon header to Firefox. This is no longer allowed in Firefox 8. Firefox 9 will have a workaround for this so that Microsoft has time to fix their software.<br>

Servlet doesn't work in the Web app after deployed to weblogic 7.0

I'm new to weblogic.
I recently developed a web application. It runs perfectly in
Jdeveloper Embeded server on my local machine. The app was talking to
a orable 9i database.
However after I deployed it to weblogic 7.0 server. All servlets don't
work any more. Some give me 404 error which I figured it might have
something to do with my web.xml. I didn't have enough servlet-mapping
definition. I corrected and now I've got new 500 error. I'm wondering
if I need to do some oralce configure thing in the admin console. But
it does work in Jdevlopera. All connection statment and sql statements
were in the servlet code. Is here anything I miss? please help. I've
been stuggle with this for 3 days. Any tip will be highly appreciated.

Missing 'Fusion Web App' template in JDeveloper 11.1.2.3

I want to develop a "*Fusion Web Application (ADF)*", but in the gallery of "New Application" *this template is missing*. Also "Java Desktop Application (ADF)" is missing too.

No, I don't think that it's a lack of feartues. However, I never installed jdev using hte linux version. On linux I normally use the generic installer and use my already installed jdk to run it on.
I suggest you download the generic installer and remove the current installation from your system, and install it again using the generic installer. In this case you need an jdk1.6.0_24 or better installed on your machine. I'm running jdev on 1.6.0_45, but on windows. Currently I don't hane a linux installation running jdev.

PDF Export Problem on BI 7 Web App Template

Hi Friends,
We have a web template with button group. One of the button in the button group got assigned the 'EXPORT' command.
The 'Export' command properties are as below
     - Export Format = PDF (PDF)
     - Scaling Factor = FIT_HORIZONTAL
     - Show Export Dialog = ON
     - Paper Size = DINA4
     - Paper Orientation = PORTRAIT
     - Repeat Column Headers = On
     - Header Center = Date Time and Page of Pages
     - rest are all default
I have 2 problems with the above case
     i) Header Center , other header footer things not visible if 'Show Export Dialog = ON'
     - When I run the template, and clicked 'Export Button', LAter i was shown the Dialog Box. I kept everything as default. Then i am able to see the PDF with the content. But i am not able to see the 'Date Time and Page of Pages' on the PDF. THis mode allows me to see the Content in color but no Header Center.
     - If i change 'Show Export Dialog = OFF' then i am getting the PDF with 'Date Time and PAge of Pages', i.e., Header Center.
     ii) Another problem is, I have used the Script Control and i am showing some text using JAvascript funtions on the screen. This specific text are not visible on the PDF file, when we do the export.
Could anyone let me know, how to solve this.

unfortunately the question is not clear enough. When you say "authorize from database" then the question is what the policy is that you have saved in the database. Users , roles ? Note that there is a known limitation with the use of the SQL authentication as the role name saved in the database must match the role name used in an ADF application

I have got the Yahoo example working, and if I use a HTTP System & URL iview for my web application, that also works. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be, or where I should start looking?

Bit of a weird one: I've found a way to make it work but I'm not sure exactly how... the problem was that the portal was opening my web app URL in an iFrame (which can be seen from the code above). I tested this by just creating a html page with the URL + parameters in an iframe, and it wouldn't log me in (and took over the whole browser). So I guess the problem is with my web app rather than the portal.
However... I then discovered that if I add my web app address to the Local Intranet security zone in my browser (IE6) settings (before it was in the Trusted Sites zone), it no longer minded being in an iFrame, my test html page worked and so does the portal iview. I cannot find which security setting is causing this - I've tried changing the Trusted Sites to match the Intranet zone settings exactly, but it still doesn't work if my web app address is Trusted opposed to Intranet.
If anyone has any idea what is causing this behaviour, I'd be very grateful - obviously it isn't a portal issue but I'd still like to find out the cause in case it comes up again in the future.

Using event booking tags in a web app

Hi everyone,
I can use the following event booking tags within the event bookings module:

<span>{tag_bookingmonth} {tag_bookingday}, {tag_bookingyear} <em class="icon-calendar"></em></span><span>{tag_capacityempty}/{tag_capacity} <em class="icon-ticket"></em></span>
</div>
The above code works perfectly fine if using the bookings module but when I try to use the code in a web app, I'm not getting any results because, I assume, it's because the tags are specific to the bookings module. As I want to recreate this effect in a web app, does anyone know how I can get the tags to work with my web app?

I'm curious to know if you have got this working? I have not tested this out, but I wouldn't think that you could use JavaScript to dynamically change a module.
I would think that you could just create a drop down for them called "Free10254 or Paid45008" with the numbers being the values they select.
Then within the details layout you can have:
{module_webform,{tag_free10254 or paid45008}}
This would cut out the need for js.
