Auto discovered Linux machines platform value is showing as Windows. Need help

Hi All,
In my infra, we have set the discovery policy as AD & IP range. All the machines are getting discovered, however in platform tab of Unix/Linux machines shows as 'Windows', and due to this we are unable to license the machines.
Please help.

Hi all   report that sends email shows popup window needs to be supressed

hi all
i have developed a report that sends email as an attachement, but this report pops up a window in the end ( it says 'no of objext sent') and there i have to press enter, but my report is running in the background (scheduled report) and therefore there should be no pop ups in the report.
question is how to avoid popup window in the following program.

pls comment the submit program form INITIATE_MAIL_EXECUTE_PROGRAM by default the email runs in background and there is no need to submit 'rsconn01' it again to that program where u actually get the pop-up...

I am not much comfortable with Java .... read some docs on java proxy and seems that its kind of time consuming to develop java proxy.
So for me, ABAP proxy is the only choice.. (which is also not my area)
I have gone through the eLearning link for Value mapping and I think, I have to create REPORT in ABAP which would invoke the ValueMappingReplication class.
Am I right ?

There are some data dictionary views to get the list of column names and their id.
eg: all_tab_columns
I am querying the fiels for EMP table..

The reason why i need the generic query to frame the column values into individual fiels is , the explicit cursor can not be used for binding sql statments and moreover i want to create the record type based on the explicit cursor due to some requirement in creating generic procedure..

AP Groups VLAN showing all SSIDs - Need help.....

Hey everyone!
I am hoping I can find some help with configuring the AP Groups VLAN feature on a WiSM + WCS ver 4.2 environment. I enabled and setup AP Groups VLAN for a campus type network acording to the guide here:

The issue I am having is that even though I enabled and setup the AP Group VLAN as well as assigned the interface / network the AP to the group, all the SSIDs still broadcast on that AP where I only want one SSID to be present. I am testing this in a building that is an extension of another and only have 1 AP thus far so I know I am not picking up the SSIDs from other APs.
Anyone have any suggestions or can help? I would greatly appreciate it.....

The feature you are looking for is called WLAN Override in 4.x release versions
Enabling WLAN Override
By default, access points transmit all defined WLANs on the controller. However, you can use the WLAN Override option to select which WLANs are transmitted and which ones are not on a per access point basis. For example, you can use WLAN override to control where in the network the guest WLAN is transmitted or you can use it to disable a specific WLAN in a certain area of the network.

Image not showing in browser - need help urgently

hi , I'm new to Javafx I'm trying to create display an image in a web browser , not thing complex , this is my code :

Is the image URL pointing to the same domain as the applet is downloaded from? If not, you will need to sign it. There is a security feature that prevents unsigned applets from downloading material from websites other than the one it is downloaded from to prevent a trojan applet from using your computer to launch a denial of service attack while you run it.

Trying to deploy .sh or .csh file on linux machine

I am trying to manage Linux devices (Centos 6.3) using SCCM 2012 R2. I have installed the SCCM client on the Linux machine, i can get the H/w & S/w inventory from resource explorer on SCCM but i am not able to deploy scripts(.sh & .csh files) to
the Linux machine, no matter i do what it just don't get it deployed. i have created 3 separate Centos 6.3 machine for testing this but after deployment when i check the deployment status in monitoring it always shows "Waiting for content". The Linux
machines are not joined to domain.

I hope this link is helpful its for 11g. it might work for even 10.2.0.5 and above. First you will need to download the agent script for Linux based on the platform either 32 or 64 bit. And after you download the script( I usually use wget) make it executable using

Japanese font "MS PGothic" not showing properly in linux machine

I am using this font "MS PGothic" in my swings application to display Japanese font,
But in SOME of the linux machines, it is not displayed properly
linux os : Red Hat linux Enterprise edition 5.0.
Do I need to install some packages for MS PGothic font to get installed in red hat linux.

Problem with setTraficClass() in Linux machine

We are facing some problem with setTraficClass() method in java.net.Socket . When we try to set a value 34 using this method in windows it is not setting. when try to see the Ip header in the packet using wireshark it is showing 00.
After lot of googling we found in sun forum that in Windows os there is no support for TOS/DSCP. if we want to set a value we need to add a registry parameter. Now it is setting in Windows XP [http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4696356]
But our problem is we are trying to run the same thing on linux machine RedHat 2.6.18.92.e15-pae-1686 it is setting 00 . Please find the code bellow

when I use setsockopt() API on linux machine. I am able to set the DSCP value in the UDP socket.
I can see the visibility of DSCP marking on the wireShark.
when I use the setTraficClass(34) API on linux machine. I am not able to set the DSCP value in the UDP socket. It
always takes the default value as 0. I cant see the visibility of DSCP marking on the wireShark.
setSockopt() API supported in Linux machine. Why not SetTrafficClass() API?.
Is there any changes required to make the SetTrafficClass() API to work on Linux platform?.

'java': "Could not reserve enough space on heap" on 48G Linux machine

I have installed the 64bit version of jdk-1.6.0-17 from java.sun.com on my RedHat Linux machine with 48G internal memory.
All the java commands return :

Running without the 6G limit and setting Xmx12000M doesn't help.
I hope someone can shed some light into what's going on here. Why on earth would Java think it needs 12G memory to run? And why, when it gets it, is it still not enough?

Unable to launch application on Linux machine

Hi,
We have a Java based product developed as desktop application. This product has a tree structure built-in. and while connecting to few of the nodes, we are getting the following error: "*Cannot write XdndAware property*".
Note:
1. We are running the application on a Linux machine.
2. We are using JNLP to launch the application.
3. Only few nodes are causing this issue.
4. Tried putting -DsuppressSwingDropSupport=true in JNLP file, but no progress.
5. This happens on JDK1.6.0_23 and above
Can someone help us to resolve this issue.

Let me explain my current requirement.
1. All the client jars should be downloaded every time I click a link (as of now its a JNLP link, but this can change).
2. And this should be platform independent
3. I stated in the earlier description I should be able to pass arguments (suppressSwingDropSupport, etc) to VM to resolve the actual issue.
Can someone please suggest any other approach?
I have one more generic question: Can I write my own JNLP defining XSD & DTD, so that it can accept all the arguments whichever I can pass to the VM? If so, how to do this?

Just updated to my macbook pro to 10.8.2. ical not synching with my Exchange 2010 server. Worked flawlessly prior to the upgrade. Settings set to auto discover. I matched settings of a partner in my who is still using 10.7.1 without issues. Help!

Also - my battery has been telling me "service battery" for a LONG time and then it switched to "replace soon" som time ago. Can't really see what this has to do with anything but whatever.
That could conceivably explain all the problems you're describing. Replacing a Mac's battery should not be postponed since a failed battery will cause other problems to occur. It is also possible that its hard disk has failed, which means the information on it may soon become unrecoverable.
... my latest TM back up was from April 2014, can I just run this when I have rescued everthing and then it might not be as slow?
If that Time Machine backup remains intact, it may be the only viable means of recovering that Mac's information. I suggest you do not attempt to restore its contents to your ailing Mac.
Given that you are having trouble creating a newer Time Machine backup you should stop using that Mac immediately and have it serviced as soon as you are able. Do not take it to anyone other than Apple or a service facility authorized by Apple, for the very reasons you explained. If there are no Apple Stores in your vicinity search for an Authorized Apple Service Provider using the Contact Us link below. Use one of the options that appear under Contact Apple Support.
